Albert was extremely helpful throughout the process from initial review and quote to updates on the project timeline. We were willing to wait due to the impact of Covid and they were communicative with the understandable delay everyone is experiencing in availability of materials. They kept us informed throughout the process.The project consisted of removal and installation of new siding, new garage doors, outdoor light fixtures, new front door and garage entry door.Michael and Josh were on site and very professional and helpful with our questions or any concerns through the process. The workmanship was excellent and you could see their attention to detail. I have had other remodelers where communication has been a nightmare but not with Albert, Michael and Josh. I also want to mention Barry who was very diligent in figuring out a wiring problem with one of our light fixtures to ensure it worked properly.They were very meticulous in every detail and it shows.Will definitely use them for future projects.

I had a small ground level deck on a home in Mason I purchased in 2022. It was in sore need of replacement. Esser Builders II did a stellar job of removing and replacing the existing deck with one that is up to todays standards. The existing one was at least 20 years old and was well rotted under and above the deck planks. It did not use materials or methods that would be accepted by todays standards.I now have a deck that will last as long as I live in this house and beyond. It was well worth having Esser Builders II do the work and I will use them for any needs going forward.

Esser Builders replaced pretty much the entire exterior of our home – roof, siding, and deck surface. Although in these times, it took a little bit to get in the schedule – once the work started, it was steady work through the completion. As the work progressed there were some concerns about the fit andfinish, but the team listened to and resolved our concerns. The crew was also excellent at maintaining a clean job site so we didnt have to worry about the kid or dog getting into something they shouldnt. There was also great follow-up after job completion to make sure things were still good.

Exterior areas on our nearly 35-year-old house in Mason were showing signs of rotting wood siding and trim, woodpecker damage, gutter and downspout problems, cracking and peeling caulk, crumbling concrete steps on our front porch, and more. Esser Builders assessed the problems and deployed a crew to make the repairs and improvements. Their work was outstanding, performed by a team of men and women who clearly cared about doing a good job, worked hard, and knew what they were doing. Hats off and thank you to Mark (the construction foreman), Dennis and his wife, the rest of the worksite crew, Al, Erika and the rest of the Esser team. We would hire them again with no hesitation.

We had EBII tear off our old roof and install a new one. While doing that we also had them paint a couple trim pieces on the front of the house as well as our front door. Albert came out to the house to discuss the work we wanted done and had a quote to us the next day. He was very professional and explained everything they would do for the install, including describing the materials to be used such as the underlayment, etc. This was all detailed out in the quote as well. Albert was also very helpful in assisting us with processing an insurance claim on our roof which was fully approved. The install process went smooth and they completed the project in the stated time frame (about two weeks). They did an excellent job keeping the job site clean throughout the install and tarped exposed areas of the roof when they left each day. We did have one strong storm during the install, but did not experience any leaks. The install crew also did a great job of keeping me apprised of their progress along the way. The administrative staff did a great job keeping in touch with us on information they needed prior to the install and following up with us periodically while the work was being done. Were very happy with the end result of the roof install and the painting done, and are looking forward to doing future business with EBII. Thanks!

We love our new deck! The deck was replaced, rot along the back wall of the basement was fixed, and a French drain was installed- even after a huge storm, no water came in the back of the basement. We had ideas on what we wanted the deck to look like, and Al worked with us to make that a reality. Brandon did the majority of the demolition and construction, and he kept me updated on the progress and expectations every morning and evening. We have more projects to do on our old house in the future, and would definitely work with Al again.

I thought I was going to be in a bind when a different company became non-responsive however through Thumbtack I found Al and his company and he was very easy to work with. He met me at the job site to take a look at the repair needed on my schedule and provided instant feedback on what would need to be done along with an initial time estimate. His quote was competitive and the work was top notch. No complaints on the repair whatsoever, for a fix that included external siding, internal drywall, window replacement, and paint, among other things. On top of it, he was professional and very easy to work with. I would highly recommend Al for contracting and construction needs.

All I can say is WOW! Came out and gave me an estimate on a new deck, and it was better valued than my other estimates. I wasn’t sure who to hire and then 2 days later I get a follow up call from Esser Builders. No one else followed up, I explained that the pricing was fair but I was just unsure, they asked what it would take to earn my business, I joked and said a discount! They said that they would talk to the job supervisor and see what they could do. 1 hour later they called back and offered me an internet 10% discount which made my price blow away the other companies. I asked when they could start and they scheduled me in, the day came and there were 6 guys there setting up the job site, not only that, but they pulled permits and had everything in order, even contacted my sub division company and got approval, I didn’t know you had to do that...Told me it would take 10-14 days to complete due to city inspections in between stages of build, they did it in 9 days!! The deck is not small, it looks like the starship enterprise and the design is the envy of all my neighbors. I will use them every chance I get!! I dealt mainly with Dale and Eddie, but Al the owner was constantly involved and that gave me piece of mind..

We hired Esser Builders ii (EBII) to do a large project back in the fall of 2019. We needed our driveway replaced, an outbuilding removed, large concrete steps demolished, a new covered deck entrance replaced on the side of our house, and a small multi-level deck & stairs to our backyard installed. Through the entire process, Esser Builders ii, and their owner Albert, have been wonderful. I cannot recommend highly enough this company and I am confident I will contract with them again for future projects. Here are some major facets of process that I think are valuable for prospective customers to know:1) Bidding Process: With the exception of EBII, the other bids were vague and did not have a lot of detail – especially regarding what was included/excluded. EBII provided a very detailed bid that carefully laid out the work that would be done, the materials that would be used, and everything was included in the estimate. That is, when they price a project (e.g. a door), they don’t come back to you to ask for more $$ if they run into a problem. This happened on our job and it was worth it. Moreover, when the initial visit occurred, the owner Albert came to do the bid himself. He was knowledgeable and had good ideas about how to improve the project given our budget. No pressure or hard sell was applied. Their prices were somewhat higher than the other bids – but I have no regrets!2) Communication: Whenever I have had questions about the project, such as the expected timeline, materials, or other details, the main office and/or Albert himself contacted me very quickly – often later the same day – even on weekends. I never once had trouble getting information or answers to my questions. This type of communication is comforting when you are spending a lot of money.3) Flexibility: Part of our project overlapped with the COVID-19 pandemic and the associated business shutdowns. EBII’s workers worked within the law to complete our open project since it was unsafe if incomplete (i.e. dangerous drop-offs). They had the proper legal permissions and acted professionally throughout the period. In addition to the COVID-19 issues, EBII was also comfortable adjusting the project after we decided to do something slightly different regarding deck design as well as add a few odds and ends to the work. It was not a problem – they simply modified the bid slightly and added the modifications to the work. Easy-Peasy.4) Follow-through: With any large project, often you notice a bit of stuff here or there where you think that a small repair is needed, or a detail was missed. It happens. What impressed me with EBII is that they are committed to making sure that their customers are satisfied. They are happy to send people back to your job and make things right. In other words, after they are paid, they still are happy to return free of charge to make sure the work is completed to the customer’s satisfaction. Laudable behavior.5) Quality: The crews show up when they say they will and respect your property. I found the crew to be professional, courteous, and devoted to their work. Every day the site was cleaned up until the next day of work. Moreover, the products use in the construction and the quality/sturdiness of what is built is top notch. Our old deck was poorly constructed and falling apart. The new deck uses serious 4”x6” post construction in poured concrete with fine attention to detail (i.e., sanding corners so that everything is smooth, etc.). It is a major bummer to pay thousands of dollars for shoddy work – I have had that happen earlier in my life. It is nice to see the opposite with EBII – especially when you know that they stand behind their work long after the end date of the build.All in all, you can’t go wrong with Esser Builders ii. They are competent, professional, fair, honest, and respectful. This was my first experience with Albert & EBII – and I know that it won’t be the last.

I recently contracted Esser Builders to take on a difficult job of adding a patio door in a brick wall where just a small window was before. The price was reasonable compared to other contractors for the amount of work involved. While it took just a little bit longer than it was supposed to, I was very pleased with the end result. The door looks and works great and they seamlessly color matched the paint on the existing wall for the new drywall around the door, while also adding trim, moving an outlet, and modifying a vent to work with the door being there.

I’ll start with the most important reason I use EBII for all our residential and commercial projects. First, customer relations and follow up service on steroids! Second, Al analyzes projects before providing a bid: best and most cost-effective means to accomplish your goal. Third, the estimates are lowest or one of the lowest-fair and fully detailed with no surprises. Al and his team have a wealth of knowledge and talent to handle (probably) any project. Hired EBII for two complete roof projects. Our slot arrived during the coldest winter week (hovering 5˚) and crew was there on time, every day. Does EBII uphold their warranty? Yes, which was tested during a torrential rainstorm on one roof. No excuses or blaming product, just came right out and repaired. EBII handles ANYTHING on a maintenance list so used them for multiple repairs in/out of the house. I am now using EBII for all our commercial properties. As building manager, I have worked with a lot of contractors. None have treated me with more respect than Al. His crew is a delight to work with and that says a lot about EBII. Professional, considerate on-time and committed employees = successful business. It is obvious that pride of ownership starts at the top and resonates throughout the team.
