    Duane Thomas Marine built a beautiful dock for me. The quality of workmanship was impeccable and the design was perfect for the lot. We are able to put a boat and two jet skis on our dock. The 2 color combination makes the dock even more impressive. The crew was great to work with and were there everyday from start to finish. I couldnt be happier with the final product. Duane was great to work with and his experience is second to none. See pics of dock.

    Duane’s team just completed a new vinyl seawall and a new dock for us. The timing and workmanship is fantastic. Their pricing was very competitive and they were able to start the project much sooner than anyone else. The were here to start within a week of what was originally stated and they went right through both projects without stopping. The guys were great and I didn’t have anything come up that I didn’t like. My feeling……. stay out of their way and let them do their job and you will have a beautiful and well crafted job when they’re done

    My house in Marco Island need a new seawall and dock. I was new to the island and didn’t personally know any company that build seawall and docks. My realtor gave me a few companies to call and Duane Thomas Marine construction was one of them. Right after talking to Duane on the phone, he drove over to my house to see my seawall. A few days later he provided me a proposal. I wasn’t sure if Duane proposal was good for me. So, I called a few other companies to find out. They all were very nice, but their waiting time was about a year or longer. My seawall was in a bad shape and need to replace ASAP. Only Duane was able to do it.It wasn’t an easy decision for me to go with Duane because of the a few negative reviews that I read. However, after a few more conversations with Duane to clarify our agreements, I felt comfortable to move forward. It turned out to be an excellent decision. Duane and his team built me an amazing seawall and docks. His craftsmanship is out of question, second to none. His team are super hard worker. They are very specialized in their job.My house need total renovation. Therefore, I had a few other projects working on at the same time. I wasn’t living at the house, but I installed a few cameras to monitor to works. Every day (from Monday to Saturday) Duane team was first to arrive (7:30am) and last to leave (4:00pm). They all were hard worker. Watching them from far away to see them make good progress daily was very satisfied. I worked with many other companies for other projects. They all had higher rating. They all appeared to be very professional, very good at communicating and selling. However, they charged arm and leg. They gave many suggestions charge a lot for it. At the end, their craftsmanship were just a little above average, but they talked so highly about themselves.Duane and his team are different. They are not the best seller, but they are the best seawall and docks builders. He was very easy to work too. In the middle of the construction, I decided to add a Tiki umbrella on my dock. I asked Duane if he can install a pile from canal floor to 14 ft above deck board. He had no problem installing it. Not only that, he installed it for free. Duane and his team were very professional. They worked very hard, went above and beyond to build me a beautiful dock with boat lift and seamless kayak platform. All city inspections were passed easily.I am 100% satisfied with their works and truly recommend Duane and his team. However, I really miss seeing Duane and his team.Thanks Duane!

    We couldn’t be more pleased with the seawall and dock Duane and his team built for us this past fall. His prices were fair and reasonable, and the work was completed on time. It took about 10 weeks from start to finish. Moreover, the seawall and dock are gorgeous!!I’m an engineer, and I appreciate when things are built well. Just look at the width of the new seawall cap. The original seawall was still in tact, but it had sunk and was showing signs of degradation. Duane put in new panels and backfilled the space between the new and old seawall with #57 stones. He then built the form for the cap, including a rebar structure that encapsulated the old seawall. See photo. This was awesome!As for the dock, the key feature is obviously the herringbone pattern. This was all Duane, and we absolutely love it! My ideas for the pattern “looked like crap”, but Duane knew what he was doing and we let him do his thing. We did reuse the existing lifts, and while they’re showing some age, I’m fine to use them for as long as they last.The work was done while we were away so we didn’t have to endure the construction chaos. Most of our neighbors were away too, so hopefully it wasn’t too bad. Construction can be messy, but it seemed everyone kept things orderly and cleaned up at the end of the day. Communication was excellent and making progress payments was simple as well.The only thing I’d do differently would be in regard to the lifts. That is…I would remove the controllers and motors myself prior to demolition and store them in the garage. While everything went back together and works fine, there was some minor damage on a couple of the components, which probably happened during demolition process. This is no big deal; they are 20 years old.As I stated earlier, we couldn’t be more pleased with the seawall and dock Duane and his team built for us. The product is excellent and the overall experience was frankly…enjoyable. I highly recommend Duane Thomas Marine Construction LLC.

    Duane Thomas Marine Construction represents the sort of enterprise every American consumer wishes the entire country enjoyed everywhere:After reporting an under-dock plumbing failure to them and hearing nothing further from them for several days, I phoned them for an update. SURPRISE! Turned out that, without any fanfare whatsoever, they had appeared the very next day and quickly repaired the failure whilst we were away and totally unaware!Now THATs hard-to-find professional and appreciated service!

    Duane spent considerable time with us up front when we didnt know exactly what we wanted and helped us get comfortable with our ultimate design. We were unable to be present during construction, but as Duane promised, we ultimately ended up with an absolutely gorgeous dock! His team obviously knows what they are doing, and weve received multiple compliments since its been constructed.

    A little over a year ago I purchased a home on Marco Island. Everything seemed perfect at first. after being there a few weeks we decided that there were some upgrades needed. The dock was in terrible shape. Having a background in building I was not uninformed to working with contractors.I spoke with a number of marine construction companies and decided that Dwayne Thomas the best fit for me. After sharing with Dwayne my goals for the dock he designed a great dock. He also was able to point out to me some options for better positioning for the dock and his suggestions bade the project even better.Dwayne and his team showed up when he said the would. the started at 7:30 am and went to 4 each day. Also at the end of each day they cleaned up their worksite. their craftmanship was second to none. each time I thought they finished a project I was surprised that they added more to the project to make it even better than I expected.I am 100% thrilled with the workmanship and how the project turned out and will reccomend Dwayne and his team every chance that I get...

    We replaced our dock and seawall with a higher seawall and a dock with platform lifts (adding a second lift for wave runners). The result has changed the entire outdoor area of our home, giving us expansive room on the dock to fish, sit, and enjoy our waterfront experience. Duane was easy to work with and offered his experience and knowledge to produce a showcase product. His crews were prompt and did excellent work, communicating with us throughout to ensure everything was to our satisfaction. They do a great job and we recommend them highly!

    We can’t say enough about our beautiful dock!! The concept of platform lifts hiding most of the mechanical equipment under the dock is brilliant. However, beyond the dock itself, we have hurricane IAN to deal with and Duane and his team answered my call immediately. They were at the house in 30 minutes and secured our boats and lifts. Hat’s off to Duane and his crew. Beautiful dock, superb service.

    The other review is bogus. Duane Thomas is the most reputable company for demolition and dock construction in the Collier County area. I called for an estimate for demolition of a home. The representative quickly located the plat of the property, calculated her costs and gave me a very reasonable price. The whole process took less than 2 hours. Duane Thomas is on the (wrecking) ball!

    Amazing Dock! Its one of the best I have seen on Marco. Everyone that sees the dock loves its design, colors and quality. Duane Thomas Marine did a great job on my dock and I would highly recommend them if you need a dock built.

    Our dock was built by Duane Thomas Marine Construction in 2019. In early 2021 we needed significant modifications to accommodate a new boat. While several contractors were considered to complete the work, my most critical priority was to ensure the job was done right and on time. Given my experience in 2019 with Herbie (DTMC’s lead builder) and his team, I signed-up once again with DTMC. The outcome was just as great as the product initially delivered in 2019 – a high quality and great looking dock. The job was completed as requested, on time and aligned to the quality I expected. Herbie is a true professional with a phenomenal skillset in dock building. His strong focus on quality, attention to detail and customer responsiveness make him a gem and a delight to work with. He also has a great team that works well together. I couldn’t be happier with the finished product. Thanks again to the team at DTMC!!

    We had several choices for rebuilding our dock plus replacing our Seawall in anticipation of house sale. Duane Thomas beat all on price and time to complete. He is an interesting and delightful person to work with. His explanations were clear and complete. He carefully presented options and suggested ways to improve the outcome. His staff complements him well especially Lea his go-to assistant who goes beyond expectations to satisfy customer needs. As a result the house enhanced by new dock and Seawall (50 yr warranty) sold easily. This is why I recommend without reservation and with enthusiasm Duane Thomas and his staff to you for your marine construction.
