    There was water leaking into my living room and kitchen. My son suggested I contact Schmidt Brothers Roofing after his great experience with them. John called back the same day and set up an appointment to check my shingles. Within the week, insurance adjusters met with John and determined there was hail damage. He worked with the insurance company to ensure the proper steps were taken, along with meeting the city code. Schmidt Brothers work crew arrived on time with a wonderful crew supervisor and finished the job in one day. There were a few hick-ups with the previous work done on the roof, but John made sure his crew and insurance company worked together to complete the job on time the correct way.I would recommend Schmidt Brothers Roofing. All involved were extremely professional, respectful and a pleasure to have at my home. Thank you!

    Amazing!! I had a really bad experience with Legacy Restoration back in 2022 and lost faith in roofing companies for a while. After the last severe storm back in August, my roof and gutters sustained damage. I googled roofing companies and I found Schmidt Brothers. I called and asked for an estimate from them, based solely off their reviews. They sent me Koster Buss and we had a good chat. Very personable and honest. I liked him immediately and I was not disappointed! Koster made the process seem effortless and I didn’t have any stress whatsoever. He contacted Gutter Helmet on my behalf and spoke with my adjuster. It was just so easy! If my roof gets damaged again, I will be calling Schmidt Brothers, hands down. My faith has been restored!!     Schmidt Brothers replaced our shingle roof in 2024. This company was great to work with and I would strongly recommend them. The roof was shingled in one day and they did a nice job of cleaning up leaving no debris behind. Their field rep Nick, went above and beyond in providing excellent communications, service, and assistance with the insurance side of the claim. I rate them 5 Stars.

    Greg was great in getting the quote together in a timely manner and helped me through the insurance needs and was very competitive in pricing. His team showed up early and were very organized and worked hard to get the job done on one day. They took extra care in having tarps over items we didnt want to have shingle shake fall on. The clean-up was great and I would highly recommend them for your roofing needs.

    We had a fantastic experience after a severe hail storm here in Springfield with Schmidt Brothers Roofing. Adam , Koster, and Jackson could not have been more attentive to our needs. From start to finish they made sure we were on board with every step. All the fine details were taken care of, from bidding, working with our insurance carrier, lining up times, meeting our request to buy the needed products locally, to the final inspection!     Working with John Peterson and Schmidt Brothers Roofing on the replacement of my roof due to hail damage was an excellent experience. John took the time to examine my entire roof for additional problem areas and made recommendations for repairs beyond the roof (flashing, window wraps, etc) that would prevent future problems. The work crew was expert and friendly. The work was top quality. And after they cleaned up, I didn’t even find one stray nail on the ground. John went above and beyond for me, answering my many questions, helping me understand insurance and working directly with my insurance company on questions and supplements needed. I highly recommended working with Schmidt Brothers Roofing and John Peterson if you’re in need of roofing.

If he WAS running late, he would call us.     We had a 22 yr old roof that had wind damage and tore off shingles. We heard good things about Schmidt Brothers so they were on our top list to get an estimate. We had 4 other roofing companies giving us estimates as well. After receiving all of our estimates, Schmidt Brothers (Greg Thuente) came in with one of the lower bids. We decided to go with Schmidt because of their kind, caring nature and exceptional communication. Greg answered our questions promptly and genuinely cared about helping us out with any questions we were unsure of. We were kept in the loop from day one what to expect, what would be done before, during and after. He was amazing to work with.The crew of 4 that did our roof worked their butts off on one of the most windiest days. They finished the entire roof in a day and cleaned up everything when they were done. They were highly experienced and skilled roofers the way they had their system down. We are thankful no one blew off the roof.With the high winds, we had a couple garage lights that were shattered due to the winds whipping the shingles every which way during the removal of the old ones. After talking to Greg, he assured us we would be compensated for any damages. He kept his word and compensated us for what we feel was a very generous offer.What originally was a stressful situation for us, seeing as our insurance co. Didn’t cover any expenses because our roof was over 17 yrs old, it turned out to be a smooth and actually enjoyable experience working with everyone that helped us along the way. We got to meet some awesome people and our roof looks amazing!!!We would HIGHLY recommend Schmidt Bros. to anyone in need of a roof shingled. You won’t be disappointed.

    We moved to our house in January 2021 and had the cedar shingles and skylights replaced. In 2022 a hailstorm destroyed the roof and skylights, so Schmidt brothers came back and redid the entire roof. They were professional, on time and FAST. Done in a day and a half on our over 4000 square foot home. I would recommend them to anyone. Everyone working with us was respectful and friendly.

    My first experience with Schmidt Brothers Roofing was two years ago when I noticed a small wet spot on my living room ceiling after a rainstorm. I called a couple other roofing companies, and they could not even come and look at my roof for at least three days. I called Schmidt Brothers and John came over about an hour later and had tarp over the leak within a few hours He actually came over on a Sunday to replace a vent that caused the leak. So when I needed a new roof they were the first and only company I called. By luck, they were able to fit me in just two days after I signEd the contract. The crew did a fantastic job! There were respectful of my property and did an excellent job cleaning up my yard when they were finished. My roof looks great! I would highly recommend Schmidt Brothers Roofing!~ Janet

    I worked with John and he was awesome! He helped me with my insurance claim. He always kept me informed and answered all of my questions. The crew did a wonderful job with replacing my roof. They also cleaned everything up and moved things that could have been damaged during installation. Everything was perfect when I got home from work.     Koster helped us out after a hail storm had left us with damage to our roof. Their prices were so affordable, that I have to admit, I was a little skeptical at first! Schmidt Brother’s Roofing was timely, respectful, and incredibly accommodating with our crazy schedule. They finished in one day, and weren’t in the way of our lives at all! They even came out afterwards and put in a roof vent where our attic space had been sealed off! 10/10 WILL recommend these guys to anyone in need of roofing or roof repair in the greater Mankato area!

    These guys are amazing. Hard working, honest, professional, friendly, thorough and reasonably priced. From bid to finished roof we were completely happy. It looks so good! Our scheduled job ended up falling on a 110 degree heat index day. They found some flashing that needed replacing (a lot of it) so it ended up being TWO 110 heat index days. No whining or complaining, they just kept on working and didnt compromise their attitudes or their craftmanship. They cleaned up so well you wouldnt even know they were here if not for the beautiful new roof. Thanks John and crew. Highly recommend!

    My brother and I needed to find a roofing contractor to put a roof on the home of a relative in Gaylord MN. My brother lives in Texas and I live in South Dakota. My brother in Texas found Schmidt Roofing on the internet. Schmidt made contact with our relative in Gaylord and had a very reasonable quote to us with in 24 hours. From the first contact my brother had with Schmidt to the roof being completed was less than one week. Communication was outstanding, including pictures of the process. I told my husband about my experience with Schmidt and he said Sounds like small town, old fashion service I can not say enough good things about Schmidt Roofing. If you are looking to put on a roof, pass over any of the large multi state, franchise outfits and work directly with the good, honest people at Schmidt. Victor treated my relative with respect and took the time to help him select the shingles and communicated with him on the time frame to reroof the home. There was absolutely zero stress or frustration with any aspects of the roofing or communication with Schmidt. In fact, VIctor, took a burden off of our mind as we had to help our relative in Minnesota from a great distance (Texas and South Dakota)

    We needed a standard reroof and gutters. Koster took the time to come out and give us a quote in a short amount of time. Although they dont install gutters themselves, he did all the leg work to get us a quote on new gutters from Schmidt Seamless Gutters, LLC. As a busy mom, I totally appreciated that extra step. Their labor warranty and product warranty are great. From quote to reroof - it was a less than a month process. Communication was absolutely amazing, Koster was calling, emailing, texting every step of the way. He also came out three times to check for any material leftover as the snow piles melted. Both were reasonably priced and I would recommend them to anyone. Thanks again!
