In the large community of contractors there will be hits and misses. I have had other electricians out to my residence to complete pressing and not so pressing fixes. Work was satisfactory from these entities. This time I decided to give Key City Electric a shot due to lack of timely availability, they hit the mark on timeliness and efficiency.We recently replaced our siding on a 40+ year old home that we have put constant money and attention into updating. For this service call we needed all 6 of our electrical fixtures wired and checked for code. This unfortunately became a bigger job than expected. The siding company did not provide a proper electrician to extend wire during the siding process which a lesson learned. Should have called Key City first.I was able to call and have an appointment slot within two days, other companys were a week or more out. Yes, they operate on open schedules. I see plenty of complaints about them showing up late etc. There is no late when they give you the window. If you are a reasonable human being its understood jobs can have hiccups and find deeper seeded problems and may require more attention. Get a clue to those who had this complaint. Our appointment took two days and I was fine with that due to the level of detail Sam went through regarding the need to move junction boxes because the siding company performed uncentered work. This obviously increased the price but we wanted it done right.Sam was thorough and went through our electrical panel exposing future issues that will arise. I was grateful knowing what possibly can go wrong in the future on a house that was wired by the original owner and later updated. Was guessing there would be some gremlins. Him not wanting to be the bearer of bad news I was grateful he exposed this even though the cost of panel replacement was hard to stomach.Work was completed after additional materials procured and arrived within the window and completed all work quickly and accurately. The fixtures look fabulous and I can rest easy that I professional licensed electrician has it done correctly.The cost I believed to be in the average to slightly above average after some research but willing to pay that extra premium for the service received. Will recommend to others and will be using Key City in the future.**** The unfavorable reviews on Key City appear sketchy to say the least, I can fathom a couple of them but not the individual who posted the same grievance 3 times. Allow new ownership to establish and I think they will have their reputation grow.Once again, thank you Sam and thank you Key City for accenting our home so well.

We were very impressed with Key City Electric throughout their service. Craig was very knowledgeable of current codes and helped us make informed decisions. He was thoughtful in his delivery of not-so-good news which we appreciated. Jose and Sam were very sweet and polite, taking the time to ensure we had power to the appliances we needed while they worked. We’re in the middle of a home remodel, and Jose and Sam willingly worked with and around the contractors, even offering power supply to the contractors as they worked. They happily explained what they were doing and made sure to walk us through all of the completed work. We highly recommend Key City Electric to anyone looking for honest, thorough, and reliable electricians. Thank you!

Craig came out and spent as much time as needed to explain the details and options of our proposed project, then offered us a fair price for the work. Jose and Sam did the project. They were respectful, considerate, professional and efficient. They cleaned up after themselves when finished and the work looks good. I recommend this company.

We had Craig do a small rewiring job in our house after finding a scorched wire, and I couldnt be more impressed. He was very friendly and professional and explained the reasons for his recommendations. He gave us three choices to address the problem and estimates for each. Scheduling was easy and service was great, and he stopped in this morning to check on a question/issue we had. I will definitely use Key City Electric again when needed and request Craig!

Jose and Sam were amazing! Extremely professional and very nice. They rewired our whole home working two very late days. They got straight to work and didnt stop until they were done. Staying as late as midnight with still an hour drive back to Mankato! They were very knowledgeable and helpful. They went above and beyond what they had to, making sure our home was safe and we had everything we needed! Will definitely recommend to anyone needing electrical work done! They deserve a raise for sure!

I needed to contact Key City Electric in what I hoped would be a quick fix to repair a fallen wire at my parents house. However, with it being a really old house, it wasnt an easy fix unfortunately. I believe the name of the man who came out was Craig. He was SOOOO helpful. He was patient, very honest and extremely helpful. He explained everything very thoroughly. If it wouldve been a newer house and better situation, we totally wouldve worked with them. However, the house is for sale and in an odd situation. But I am so grateful to Craig.

He gave the best customer service we have ever had. So many others didnt want to have anything to do with our project. To this day, Jose checks in with us and how things are going. I had Jose and Sam from Key City Electric rewired my whole house, installed new outlets, installed a bathroom fan, and a new light fixture. He even made friends with my very big, very active dog and brought a treat before he left.Originally they estimated it at 4 hours, took him just under 2. And the best part is, they adjusted my bill to reflect that, not just charge me what the original estimate was like other places do!Every review is 5 stars, what else do you need to know?

Key City Electric had answered my emergency call. We had an outage and I gave a call to receive an answer from the owner! He told me that with emergency calls there an emergency trip charge but well worth it he was at my home within the hour and he found the problem and gave options and really helped with getting my emergency solved for the night. The team arrived with a permanent fix the next morning! They were very professional and knew what they were doing. Will definitely be using Key City Electric on our next project.
