    I’m a DIY novice and while replacing a plug socket into the wall there was a loud pop and the power went out to half of my house. I reset the fuse box but that didn’t fix it. I called Montillo late on a Sunday and the chap actually talked me through how to properly reset the fuse - which worked - and advised on how to properly replace the plug socket. All totally for free, over the phone. Unbelievable service, and this will be my first point of call for future electrical needs!

    I hired John Montillo and his crew to install a number of ceiling fans and light fixtures in my apartment. John also helped me remove some old electrical wiring from my basement, and installed 2 really nice LED lights over my washer and dryer. They work great! John and his crew did an excellent job. They arrived promptly to my home as scheduled and were very knowledgeable, meticulous, personable and hard working. It was apparent to me very early into the appointment that the crew were committed to doing the job right, which I greatly appreciated. I recommend Montillo Electric for anyone looking to hire a electrician and will surely call them back for any future electrical needs I may have.

    John, The owner was nothing short of amazing. We never needed an electrician before and this is an emergency. He was here within an hour and super helpful.     John Montillo, Owner of Montillo Electric LLC was extremely helpful with work that I needed done on my home in Bloomfield, NJ. A previous electrician had done half the job without a permit and left with my cash. I called John and he showed up within 2 hours to look at the house and discuss the situation. I hired Montillo Electric to repair and finish the electrical work on the house which they did promptly, professionally, in a clean and organized manner. Furthermore, John personally walked me through the process of getting my job above board with the city so that I did not face any fines or difficulties in finishing the job. John and Montillo Electric LLC are the type of company that you are looking for and crossing your fingers in hope that you will find them. I will use them again and I recommend them to anyone who needs quality work with and honest company.

    John and his crew were amazing! John came over for an estimate and answered all of our questions without trying over sell us on anything. I would recommend them to ANYONE! They did an incredible job installing the additional lines for our new pool. Weve already started making a list of new things we need done and spoke to John about our future commitment to them. He was professional and informative, answered all my questions and scheduled my appointment. Randy the electrician assigned to the job arrived on time, was very friendly and professional and took the time to explain the work he did. His assumption Ecko was just as kind.     Can’t say enough about how great John and his crew were, from pricing to the quality of the work they exceeded all my expectations. My issue started late on a Friday evening and John came right out when we could barely get in touch with other electricians never mind them actually coming out 7 o’clock on a Friday night. He fixed the initial problem and then scheduled his crew to come out and resolve the overall issue. The work was outstanding and get this...it was actually UNDER budget! I HIGHLY recommend Montillo Electric for any and all electrical issues you have.

    I needed an outdoor flood light fixed as well as a new outdoor outlet to run Christmas lights and other decorations from. I usually dread these types of projects because it is difficult to find someone that is responsive and is not going to overcharge. I called Montillo Electric and could not have had a better experience. John immediately fit me in the next day. He had me send him pictures of the fixtures and the next day his team came with the supplies already purchased. The team was extremely professional and did a great job installing the fixture and the new box. The price was right on the estimate and was extremely reasonable. I look forward to using them for any projects I might have in the future.

    I can’t say enough good things about Montillo Electric. I was selling my home and found out that my entire house had to be rewired and it had to be done fast. Mr. Montillo worked tirelessly to get the job done on schedule. I was a wreck but he was so kind and patient with me. His crew showed up when promised and on time. The work was quality and the house left broom clean. I highly recommend this company. In today’s world it’s rare to find a contractor with integrity. Montillo Electric is the BEST!!!

    John and his team are excellent at what they do. Ive used them to install light fixtures, baseboard heaters, thermostats, bathroom vent etc.John communicates with you the entire time. His employees are very professional. They are very efficient and clean up after themselves.I texted John this morning to look at a ceiling fan and he was here before the day was over.     I called up John with an electrical issue pertaining to a 12-3 wire connection to a constant running vent in the bathroom. He was very experienced and patient in helping me troubleshoot the problem over the phone. I was def not the most articulate in explaining everything but was able to resolve the issue nonetheless over a 10 minute phone call. I offered to pay him for his time but he kindly refused and was glad to be of assistance and even dispensed some helpful advise. I will definitely retain his services in the future should I require electrical work as he seems extremely knowledgeable, competent, and honest.     Johns team installed new lighting for our basement, upgraded knob and tube wiring for several outlets, and installed a new outdoor outlet and light fixture. John worked with us to get exactly what we wanted and helped us choose options that would make it easy for us when we renovate further in the future.     My pool panel shorted out on a hot day in August, John was able to come by the same day, showed me what the problem was, disconnected the faulty salt generator and had the pool filtering again so the kids could enjoy it.     Montillo was amazing. I called at 4pm on Friday, his electrician got to my home 5:20 and stayed until after 8. After having diagnosed the issue, shoddy work by a previous electrician, he ended up having to add a breaker to our box and replace two outlets. So, happy with the service and the work. I highly recommend!

    I had an emergency at 12 midnight the flashing around our chimney was leaking and the water got into an electric socket in the kitchen starting a fire. An emergency phone call was made to Montillo electric his response was amazing and greatly appreciated to disconnect that electrical line.     My lights had been flickering in my home for a while and I was getting concerned of a possible hazard occurring, so I called John to come take a look. He immediately answered my call and was at my home in a matter of minutes. Turns out my main breaker needed to be replaced and had started sparking and arching. John replaced the breaker and provided a detailed explanation as to why this happened. I’m so grateful he responded right away and gave me peace of mind. Will definitely used his company again.

    After Ida I had no power going to my Hot Tub and since it was a long weekend I needed to get it fixed to avoid further issues. It was a Friday before the holiday weekend and John answered all my texts regarding finding a breaker even though he was absolutely swamped. He got someone to me by the end of the day to fix the issue. I was nervous t receive the bill based on all factors mentioned. I was pleasantly surprised to find the labor under $100 and I was charged for the breaker what it would have cost me at the supply store. He has all my electrical business going forward. Local and Honest...done!

    We lost power on our second floor and owner John came right away and was able to locate our point of issue. Temporarily repaired just to get us power. Next morning him and his crew showed up early and went to work to fix the problem the right and safe way. They were all so nice and professional.
