Hired Next Step Communications for a home surveillance install several years ago. They did a fantastic job. Had an additional camera added later and it was another good experience.Today, we had a new Ubiquity router, and WAPs installed. My wife is extremely happy with the quality. Wed like to give a shout out to Jason for being here promptly for the estimate, and Ryan for getting us on the schedule quickly.For the install, we had Tyler, Mike, and Oscar do a highly professional job. They were respectful of the home, cleaned everything up, and were super friendly. It was a first class experience.

Truly outstanding service from start to finish. I wanted to add hard line drops to my current home, plus add several security cameras and a couple access points throughout my home. Ryan and his team did a fantastic job from initial site visit which was very thorough to make sure he understood what I wanted, followed by a very detailed estimate it was a clear choice that they take pride in their work and would treat my job with the utmost care. On the day of the install, 5 total installers showed up and ran 20+ runs throughout my home with no added holes in my drywall like I was anticipating to make some of the runs work due to tight constraints. They installed, tested and set up each of the runs and home networking equipment that was part of the quote as well. Exceptional communication even with some last minute changes even on the day of the install with how I wanted the wiring run specifically for my switch/patch panel. Highly recommend Ryan and his team for any of your networking needs!

Next Step Communications was great to work with. I utilized their expertise in installing my Starlink on a pole so I can easily take it with me camping. The cable from the pole is permanently installed and I have an additional cable for when we are in our camper. They were swift in communications, clear on pricing and provided excellent work. I will be working with them again on some other projects I need help with and would not hesitate to recommend them to others.

Seriously so happy I found this crew!!! They will do great!My home internet has been terrible for far too long and its been frustrating trying to find something else..... the only thing that seemed like it would solve our problems was Starlink...: my husband wouldnt commit to helping me install it and wanted me to find someone who could do it and do it right!I poked around on the internet and I mainly ended up with random companies that were not local then I found Next Step Communications... I did their online form to get them to contact me and they did so basically instantly. The best part was that it was an actual person and not an automated system response. Jason & Ryan were on top of it and ready to help me however they could. I asked tons of questions and serval I probably asked serval times. My husband had some questions that I emailed them back and forth about. In no time it was evident that they were the ones that we wanted to install Starlink.The starlink equipment was ordered and the installation was scheduled. My starlink came sooner than expected and they adjusted their schedule to accommodate the early installationTheir crew to install was two very nice guys who did a great job. Not only did they bring their booties to wear in the house but they literally had everything they needed in their vehicle. Ive had several different installers that have came to my home over the years and it usually stresses me out because they make an absolute mess and they have zero respect for your clean home and nice things.BUTNext Step Communications did a great job on the installation of my new Starlink service! The service requested was definitely completed with 100% satisfaction!It was so pleasant to have this experience with the crew from Next Step Communications. They even had a little shop vac to clean up behind themselves. Drop cloths, ladders of every size, mounts and cords for the starlink to adjust to their needs for this particular project.I felt 100% comfortable the entire time they were here and they were a pleasure to work with.Thanks guys for doing a nice job and doing your job, very well that is!

We have a mountain property that we have wanted to supply internet service to for years. Found these guys by word of mouth, and they got Starlink installed up there in a flash! GREAT communication every step, and the installer, Taylor, was fabulous. No mess left, and he was considerate and patient (we also had someone taking a tree down that day). Hightly recommend these guys. Starlink is known to have little customer service, so having someone who has dealt with their products, and have all the extras on their trucks is worth every penny to have them install this. We are up and running smoothly.

Lots to say about this company, the owner and the team that came and did the work.Initially I called to install a popular satellite dish service as I was truly unhappy with my service provider and I work from home, so interruptions and outages are not convenient, but after speaking with the owner Jason, he explained what was probably the issue, and came for a visit to discuss in person. Very nice , professional guy.After getting an estimate and agreeing to the service, a week later I was called to be told the team could come over that day, and I was stoked.The team of two were courteous, professional, and very nice to talk to, they explained what they needed to do, and set to work.Within maybe 3 hours we were set up with a new router, and the best internet I have had since we moved here 10 years ago. Jason and The Next Steps crew were absolutely amazing! They are incredibly knowledgeable, professional, and respectful. We have fiber optic and they wired Cat6 through the house and full network set-up, theatre set-up, they wired and calibrated tv’s and speakers throughout the house and we couldn’t be happier with the finished project. Very clean work and the attention to the details shows gentlemen!!! Very helpful with a few changes on the fly too. I was very impressed with the installation of my equipment. I already had a lot of things on hand that I wanted installed and the team was easily able to install my equipment even though it is not the brand they usually work with. They also did a great job installing all the wiring with minimal mess and they also cleaned up afterward too. Thank you to both Ryans and both Marks that did the installation. We are very happy with everything, especially the video doorbell! What a great new feature to have in the house. We will be coming back for any of our future wiring and network needs.

I had Next Step install my Starlink dish. Initially I had contacted 2 electricians, each of whom said 1-3 hours. 1 never got back to me to schedule and the other, who had said 2-3 hours @$150 for the 1st hour, then $100 for subsequent hours ended up installing it so it was completely obstructed and charging $900. Even though the $600/650 that Next Step had quoted me seemed high compared to a couple of hours electricians time, I ended up wishing I had just gone with them first. They had a cancellation so were out at my place within a few days and, knowing what kind of placement the dishes are designed for, installed it properly at what, in retrospect, was a bargain price.

Jason and team did an incredible job installing ethernet lines (and rack/networking gear) throughout our home. I had no question about their experience and quality throughout the process which was completed on time and within budget. They even happily added additional appropriate scope with additional drops and equipment on day of installation. If I had a similar project (or other that they provide) Next Step would be my instant go-to.They may not be the cheapest (you probably dont want the cheapest) but I believe the install and equipment will last and more importantly they will be there years down the road to support any problems or changes and upgrades necessary (and upgrade will no doubt be desired, hello 10GigE from Connexion someday).

Jason and the entire NextStep Team (or so it seemed) were involved with our project in summer of 2024. We replaced all the analog and older digital cameras within our church campus with state of the art deterrence cameras. The quality of the cameras and their images and functions is outstanding. The pricing was best for any camera system not made in China. The installation team was supremely fast, professional, and patient, even when they were training an old man like me on using the system.I would definitely recommend NextStep for any of your surveillance system needs.

Darned good products and service. They wired my basement with Cat6 cable to go with the fiber optic line I have feeding the house, installed a new router (insanely powerful and flexible), installed an equipment rack for it all in the equipment room, and converted a number of phone lines to data lines. All done according to schedule and installation was performed by very experienced and competent techs. They also set up my new 82 TV, mounted it on the wall, and hid all cables. All this accomplished in a single day and done exceptionally quickly and well. These folks know what theyre doing, and do it well using only the best and latest gear. Absolutely will use them again for anything related to tech or entertainment in the future. True pros!

Next Step Communications installed our sound system and Ring doorbell system in our newly completed home in 2017. Jason, Ryan and Buck were great to work with and took time to explain how everything worked. I have had to have them back a couple of times to tweak a few things and they have always been efficient and prompt in taking care of me. The ONLY thing I have to suggest doing differently is the type of remotes that we have. I still get disgruntled with them because I still have difficulty mastering them at times.

Professionals in every way. We had a great experience with the owner Jason and the whole crew at NSC. They installed two A/V systems including a 75 hdtv, as well as security cameras on the exterior of the house. When we first met with Jason to discuss our project, there was no doubt that he was very knowledgeable and experienced and informed us about technology that we werent aware of. It was an extensive installation on two floors, a deck and the cameras that were installed under the eaves were up to 35 high. They knew how to handle every obstacle. It was impressive to watch. The same goes for their ability to program the equipment as well as apps for our cell phones to control it. All in all we couldnt be more pleased. Since then, we have had our questions answered promptly. Jason really will be there when you need further instruction later. Look no further.

Ive had Next Step Comm wire my home, custom build a solution for my TV in the family room and install a home theater in the basement. Jason and team were pleasant on the installs, efficient and thorough with great work.Furthermore, Ive had some problems with my projector since install...about three times over 7 months. Technology breaks, so, its not only important to mitigate this by purchasing well made equipment but equally how well your Multimedia installer services it and responds to your need when you need it. Jason has had incredible response each time and has been thorough in servicing; even replacing when needed. Next Step stands by their work. I wouldnt go to anyone else for my multimedia/network/home theater needs.

Next Step Communications did a great job putting ethernet cables into our house for a security camera system. The cables are hidden in AC ducts, side boards, etc. and are completely invisible (which is great for a retro fitted security camera system). We decided to work with them after interviewing several other companies. They were by far the best, mainly for three reasons: (i) They listened to our wishes and creatively looked for ways to put them into practice. (ii) For each cable to be installed, they were able to come up with different routing options, give us the positive and negative for each option and then let us decide. (iii) No short cuts: while on site, they persisted to install the cables as planned even when faced with difficulties.

We were with Comcast, were having issues with the speed we were paying for, Comcast of course immediately blamed our external equipment attached to their Modem. HA! So, we had Next Step Communications come out and check literally all of our Ethernet lines, external Routers and switches, and guess what. They were all working perfectly! We pointed this out to Comcast, and they still were not convinced. Finally, during a lunch break, I tested the Comcast equipment by removing all our external devices, hooking directly to their modem and the problem re-occurred. Reported it to Comcast, they finally, after 2 weeks resolved the issue! Thanks to Next Step for proving our external equipment was working properly. We have since fired Comcast and gone with the much more reliable LPC Nextlight services for our business!

I hired Next Step to install runs of Cat 6 Ethernet cables throughout my home in Erie. When my wife and I moved here last year, I knew that we were going to need some proper networking installed to support our home offices and other needs throughout the house. I limped along on wireless bridges and MoCA adapters for several months before I got around to engaging with Next Step.They spent a day at my home working in the crawl spaces and attic to run the new cables and install the new jacks. My wiring needs ranged from relatively easy (a room right above a crawl space) to very difficult (an exterior wall in the finished basement), but somehow they managed to successfully install every jack that we discussed. (Im still astounded that the basement jacks worked out!)I now have two Ethernet jacks in all the newly upgraded rooms, a central point for managing the wiring, and a much more pleasant home office situation due to being able to move some noisy/hot equipment elsewhere in the house. I also learned a few helpful things from talking with the Next Step folks, such as advice on using the I-joist knockouts in my utility room for managing cable routing.Overall, it was a great experience, and Ill certainly keep Next Step in mind for future projects.

I hired Next Step Communications to wire additional cat 5 connections in my house. My goal was to get video heavy components like Xbox and Apple TV on a hardline to leave wifi exclusively for mobile devices. I also wanted my main router moved and a switch added to provide additional hardline connections for office computers and a printer.One of the biggest challenges was that the Xbox and Apple TV are in a finished basement. They were able to snake new cat 5 cable from the outside through a drop ceiling to the main network panel in the middle of the house (~25 feet). Only two small drywall holes that they patched. They also moved the router, set up the office hardlines, and tested to make sure everything was working.They were knowledgeable, competent, polite, and had the skills to do the job. Their pricing is also reasonable. Ive used them on additional smaller projects and have always been pleased. I’ve also recommended them to a few friends who have always been happy with their work.
