    I am so thrilled with the work Paintworks & Decorating did on my kitchen cabinets. My cabinets were in relatively good condition but I had them for 20 years and wanted a fresh look. Maggie helped me with color selection (and recommended a color I would not have considered but ultimately chose), Danny helped me with replacement doors for my laundry room and created a new hatch that looks just like my original cabinets and new under cabinet lighting. I never felt pressured. Always courteous and worked on my schedule. And came back for touch ups. I couldn’t be happier. Shout out to Ryan also for managing the project.

    We found Paintworks and Decorating Inc. through Yelp and are we so happy we did! We met with a few different companies to get quotes to paint our 800 sq ft. apartment. Ryan was the first one to respond and was super responsive throughout the entire process answering our many questions. Paintworks was not the least expensive nor were they the most expensive (we met with five companies) but we just knew we would have great quality and wonderful service and we 100% did! I would highly recommend working with them. They said they would have the job done in 2-3 days and I figured we should add a few days to that since nothing is ever on time...THEY FINISHED IN TWO DAYS! And its a such beautiful job, we couldnt be happier with the finished product.You can see the difference in the pics from what we had before (off white) to what we now have (bright white). Jose and Luis were amazing to work with and so lovely!Again, HIGHLY recommend working with Paintworks and Decorating Inc.!

    Ryan, Ricky, and their team were amazing! We had 3 PTACs removed, and about 100 holes throughout our apartment but youd never know it if you saw the space now.     I cant say enough good things about Paintworks. First, Ryan is great to work with; hes professional, friendly, and does what he says hes going to do (unlike too many other contractors).I was still living in Boston when the painters did the work at my apartment in Long Island City, and when I moved in a few weeks later I saw that the kitchen hadnt been painted (there was some confusion on the part of the painters). When I called Ryan to let him know, he apologized for the confusion and arranged to have the kitchen done within a few days, at no charge.     Great to deal with, job well done, reasonable pricing. The front of my historic house was in pretty sad shape with really old peeling and flaking paint. Ricky had great ideas on how to get the best possible result by using a textured sealant product under a topcoat paint layer.     Ryan and the team at Paintworks were fantastic. We had our apartment painted after several years of living in it - so they had to move things away from walls, drape everything, work in much more cramped space than an empty apartment would have offered - basically a total hassle.     Quality: This was our 3rd job from Paintworks. We are very satisfied customers. We had multiple cracks to fill/fix and the room looks brand new now! The painters also had to match our different paint colors on walls/ceilings/trim. No problem for them.Responsiveness. Ryan took photos and made note of my concerns before sending the estimate. He returned after the job to make sure the work was satisfactory for Paintworks’ standards and mine.Punctuality. The work took the two days they estimated; we planned for an extra-day to allow for touch-ups. The young woman who returned for the minor touch-ups did a great job--the extra time was well worth it.Price: The base cost was fair. You always have to add tax and materials so the final cost adds up no complaints on our end.

We were working under a very tight time frame with a specific budget, and Paintworks was able to meet both. I called at least 4 other companies before deciding to go with Paintworks, and chose them because they were incredibly responsive, professional, and willing to work with us to meet our needs. It was a pleasure working with Ryan - he provided superb customer service throughout the process. The painters did an excellent job as well, and the whole place looked better than expected.     We purchased a prewar apartment which hadn’t been painted in several years. The apartment has many prewar architectural details including beams, intricate baseboards, and, needless to say, uneven walls. All of this made it not an easy job. We hired Paintworks and Decorating to paint the entire apartment. They did a beautiful job and the whole place looks fresh and bright. We are perfectionists to a fault and Ryan and Ricky cheerfully made sure that every touch up was done no matter how minor it may have been so that we would be 100% satisfied with their work. (For context, he did skimming, painting, sanding, added moulding, added new doors, fixed/patched a few walls and closets - we bought a one bed in Greenwich Village that needed some help.)Also, he’s building a great team for repairs. I needed help with a light person and he had the perfect electrician for me.I will absolutely go to Ryan and the team again and refer them to any friend who needs help in fixing up their home.

I spent some time sourcing a contractor and decided on Ryan and team based initially on their positive/realistic reviews and then interactions/recommendations. We are delighted with the result and will be getting them in again to re-paint our window grates and a side gate. The team arrived for the 2-day job promptly and in a flash, all our valuables, furniture were covered safely in plastics. We returned 2 days later to what felt like a new home. A wonderful smell of fresh paint and a great job by the team.     The service I got from Paintworks and decorating was really good. They changed the carpet and tiling in my bedroom and bathroom. Adding wonderful details like small spirals at the tip of the bathroom tiles that elevated the space from functional to feeling like an actual home. Not only that but they suggested further development plans I could make if I were interested. They also offered a very competitive rate compared to the other carpentry companies I got a quote from. They were really friendly and personable in a way that made me feel like I hired a family member to help me to do some house work.     Paintworks and Decorating painted the whole interior of our 900 square foot apartment which had not been painted in about 20 years. The whole apartment--including trim, bathroom, closets, and kitchen--was in extremely bad shape, in desperate need of scraping multiple layers, plastering, priming, and painting. They started on a Thursday morning and by the next Monday afternoon, they were done. I could not believe how quickly and thoroughly they did the work and how beautiful everything looks. I was so stressed about the job being complicated or taking a long time, and they were so friendly, professional, and fast that they eliminated all of my worries. From getting the estimate from Ryan to coordinating and communicating with the skilled crew, everything went smoothly and professionally. The apartment now looks absolutely stunning and the price was extremely reasonable for the amount of labor that was required. I will definitely hire this company again if I need more painting done.

    We had our kitchen cabinets painted last year and Paintworks did a fine job. They went out of there way to get the job done before the Thanksgiving Holiday. Some of the hinges were ajar and they promptly sent a carpenter to repair them. They matched the color perfectly and our cabinets look like new.     I moved into a new duplex in manhattan, and I wanted everything painted (all walls, ceilings, etc); new light fixtures put into ceiling; and new electrical outlets and covers throughout the duplex.The process could not have gone smoother. Rick and his team started on time, on time kept me up to date throughout the entire process though phone, text, and emails. The work done amazingly, and I felt more than comfortable allowing him and his team access to my condo even when I was not there. After it was all finished, Rick did a full walk-through with me, and immediately fixed the few touch-ups that needed to be done. All of this was done with great personality, and with a much better price than some of the other quotes that I got. I feel like the work that I got was worth 2x the price I paid. From the first second to the last they were another level of on top of it - 1) they responded to my first inquiry in minutes at 8pm at night 2) they booked a date to start in days 3) Danny who did all the work not only did excellent work with attention to detail (he built two door ways and retired a bathroom wall) he constantly offered to help with everything around just to be helpful (like patching light holes in the kitchen that had nothing to do with the project, or helping carry huge tiles upstairs for the other bathroom) or finding tiles to match the bathroom he was finishing. 4) Ryan and Ricky were always responsive by text and phone day and night when I had questions 5) they finished on time and budget. 6) they use technology to track everything to make the experience even easier.     Extremely happy with the level of service from Ryan and Ricky and the entire team over at Paintworks and Decorating. They both know the industry well and it is reflected in the work that they do. My wife and I have a studio apartment in Manhattan we were looking to spruce up for the 2022 spring season which included plastering and patching a few cracks on some old concrete walls left from the restoring of an old floor and removal of prior baseboards and mouldings which they also assisted with removing and rather quickly I may add. Everything came out great and we were both happy with the end result. The pricing was fair and flexible and so was the estimated time frame to complete the job. They were also very easy to work with when it came to submitting any last minute documents or certificates for the co-op approval board in my building.I would have to say I appreciate most how responsive both Ryan and Ricky are even with all the work and projects going on they still manage to respond in a timely fashion. This is a deal breaker for me. Communication before, during, and after the job is vital. I plan to have them back again for the painting and installation of new baseboards soon so I will most likely update my review based on the outcome with photos but I am sure it will be flawless.Good luck trying to find anything negative to say because they have certainly exceeded my expectations.Thank you!Sal and Geri
