Homer Roofing quickly provided our requested bid. The bid was higher than the 2 other bids but, we appreciated how professional and descriptive the contract was. We also don’t want to cut corners and the company appeared more knowledgeable especially when it came to bringing our ventilation up to code. They also offer excellent warranty options as well as additional warranty coverage which we opted for. Having previously had a negative experience with another company we took a recommendation from our neighbor for a local and trusted company. So far we couldn’t be happier with the ease, communication, efficiency, and peace of mind it’s provided. The new roof looks great and they were able to run a gutter crew behind the roofers which was an added bonus.

Wind damage took out several shingles on my roof this summer. Several neighbors have had good experiences with Homer so I called them first and never called anyone else. From the moment Jaden showed up at my home I felt like my situation mattered to them. When it came to dealing with insurance and arguing with the claims manager after they denied the claim, Jaden and Homer roofing went the extra mile. I cannot recommend them enough. The guys who did the work came in December before it started snowing, they were fast, friendly and did a great job and cleaned up after.

I was aware of the quality and responsiveness of Chris Brown and Homer Roofing from their work on one of my business properties in November of 2023 (see my earlier review on business property, 9/29/2024). I had an emergency situation involving my mother’s home in Smithfield, Utah. My mother is 86 and she was distraught that her home had been repaired for two different type water pipe events in 2023 and 2024 which created costs, inconvenience, and inability to use her home. One event was covered by homeowners insurance, however the first event involved the water pipe from the curb of her street to inside her home and there was no insurance coverage. She was horrified of the costs that were put on me and the mind numbing disruption to her life for over a year. However we were finally getting on the other side of a year of home owner problems including a thorough review of homeowners policies. My point in writing about these prior events is to highlight the kindness and responsiveness of Chris Brown and Homer Roofing.I was feeling relief in purchasing a homeowners policy that better suited my mother’s and my situation with each of our homes. I thought I was finally done and was enjoying my peace of mind. My heart hit the floor when I received a call from the insurance company agent late in the afternoon. My mother’s house did not pass the insurance inspection due to the roof. The agent was caring yet he still had to tell me that I only had seven days to fix the roof. I picked up the phone and called Chris Brown. I knew he’d be working so did not expect him to answer.He picked up the phone. OMG he was on my mother’s roof in two hours and work began the next day. Work was completed in one day including clean up. The quality was the same high quality as his previous work on my business property. He actually corrected previous design flaws which improved the functioning of my mother’s home in general (e.g., appropriate ventilation, efficient cooling and heating). Communication, documentation, and collaboration with other professionals and me was excellent, 5 stars is’t high enough, six stars. Responsiveness, 10 stars.I am not saying Chris Brown and Homer Roofing can always respond in two hours and finish a roofing job by the next day. However, I can tell you that he and his crew are local contractors and they actually treat their customers like neighbors and human beings. I can’t rate this company and its people high enough. My own home will need a roof soon and by rating them so high I had the thought, “they’ll be too busy.” No worries, they will fit it in and it will be a fantastic job. Ill begin with the work Homer Roofing did for my business, Avalon Hills in Paradise Utah. It is a large home with multiple, complex intersecting roof pitches. Our Facility Director told me the following about Chris and his crew: a) they were professional; b) they were sensitive to our business setting (patient care) which requires extra attention to leaving the grounds and home clean; and they cleaned up after their work extremely well (no nails or roofing debris).Additionally our Facility Director told me Chris Brown stayed in touch with him when the job could began. Once Chris communicated they could start, they started the job the next day and completed the entire job in two days and had everything cleaned up. When I had damage to my roof, it allowed water to come into my house and cause damage inside too. The insurance adjuster recommended Homer Roofing to provide an estimate. The adjuster recommended that I contact Devin Daniels and I did. He was there very quickly and provided a comprehensive estimate that was approved by my insurance. Replacement shingles were recommended and we singed an agreement for Homer Roofing do remove my old roofs shingles and replace them together with other roofing features. The crew worked tirelessly through weather and got a big job done in less than expected time. They would have been done sooner but I didnt permit work on Sunday. They cleaned up every day before leaving the job. At the end, the only evidence of their having been working at my home was a beautiful new roof.

This helped the insurance company to understand the facts resulting in the maximum insurance payout allowed. The roofing crew was efficient. Homer Roofing did a complete repair on the metal roof at our vacation home. The previous roofer did not complete the roof properly and the roof leaked in two areas the first winter, also the appearance was trouble. Homer Roofing came in and had to remove the complete roof, they had to order the needed materials to install the roof per manufacturers installation instructions. Not only does the roof look great we have not had any problems with the roof leaking. All the workers were very professional, they keep the job site clean and kept us updated on the work being completed. Working with Homer Roofing was easy. The people are friendly, they actually call you back if you leave a message, and the work crew is efficient. Our 3 day roofing job only took them 2 days. We had them take off our old metal roofing, remove the asphalt shingles under that and the cedar shingles under that. Then they put on OSB and new asphalt shingles. It looks great! I just learned that they install rain gutters too. Ive already asked them to put up gutters for me. I would definitely recommend this company.

Following hail damage, I contacted Homer Roofing to install a new roof on my home. Homer Roofing was recommended to me by a neighbor who had a good experience with them. In replacing my roof, they were very professional and did everything they said they would do. When there was a manufacturing defect in the shingles (not the fault of Homer Roofing), they even helped me submit a warranty claim to the manufacturer. Devin was especially helpful throughout this process. Homer Roofing has earned my trust and I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again or recommend them to friends and family.

I have spent two weeks trying to contact them to get a bid for my roof. It took the very lovely secretary 3 times to get anyone to even come and look at my roof. And I still haven’t got a bid. No communication, no phone call after they FINALLY looked at, no email, no text, nothing. I’m pretty disappointed, I went with them because of their reviews. Would be great if they could work on their communication, really feel like I got the run around . What benefit is it to waste my time? I could and should have contacted other roofers.UPDATE: they got back to me on a Saturday (which I am sure they don’t work weekends, I hope they don’t) Rick was very nice and apologetic about the time it took to get a bid out.I completely understand how things can get messy and busy, I would have really liked to have had realistic time lines.Overall, I think they did the best they could at the time.Update: They got back to me and got my roof fixed very quickly, I am very grateful for them and would absolutely recommend. I do not think that they knew I had slipped through the cracks, would like to give them credit where credit is due. Once I left this review they immediately reached out to me and made things right. Homer Roofing... What a great company. From the first meeting with Devin until the last nail was removed from the ground he was awesome. I had an open time frame for the work to be done and there was no problem with timing. My roof is steep and I wanted all the workers to be safe and take their time to do it right and safe. Jose and his crew worked as a team should... together, safely, and with great quality of workmanship. The roof was inspected for other damage as well such as water and ice. During the bid review, they noticed a building code update and were able to do it as well on the roof. Once the job was completed, their clean up was immaculate. Devin returned and upon final inspection only found 1-2 nails and one piece of flash material. The yard was cleaned and the walks blown clean with a water wash as well. The scheduling of the correct materials for the roof replacement was about as tight as I have seen by any contractor. Everything arrived on time and the left over material was miniscule. Right on the money. I would strongly recommend them for your home.

Devin also contacted our Home insurance company and gave them an assessment of the damage, what he recommended be done to fix it and a estimate on cost. Our Insurance company agreed to Devin’s assessment that same day!!! And we now have a beautiful new roof on the whole house, not just a patch job! The crew was punctual on the day they were set to come. They were swift to remove two layers of old shingles, remove a cap from a previous swamp cooler, patch up that hole , and lay down new tar paper and weather barrier , and lay the new shingles and flashing all in the same day!! They also clean up after themselves, and send their boss back to inspect the final work and make sure everything is right! Highly recommend Homer Roofing. My wife and I built a house in Cache Valley in 2019 and soon realized that our shingles was faulty as there was a production error from the manufacture. I was recommended to reach out to Devin Daniels with Homer Roofing. Honestly, from my first contact with Homer Roofing, I started to see immediate response from a company that provides excellant customer service. Within minutes of connecting to Homer Roofing, I received notice confirming my first appointment, to visit my home to inspect and estimate the costs. By the end of the day, I was emailed a detailed Bid on what they would do to remove and replace the faulty shingles previously installed. Once approved, I received emails from Rick, (project manager) as to what to expect next in scheduling and the reroofing process. The crew arrive promptly as promised, whereas they placed tarps down to prevent damage from loose shingles and other debris. The roofing crew was very respectful of our property and when they left for the day, everything was cleaned up and tidy. I couldnt help notice that during this process, the crew was heard laughing and joking with each other. The crew would take water and rest breaks during this whole process and speaks well about a company who cares for their employees. The entire job from start to end took only a day and a half and once the job was done, Rick came over to inspect and soon after, emailed the GAF warranty to us.

While there he noticed some damage that another roofing company had done to the roof when they had pulled up the shingles and left it exposed. I had heard about what a great job Homer Roofing did on a friends roof last year.I called them, along with some others in the valley to get several bids. BUT Homer Roofing came in at the lowest price, but with the highest recommendations.At 9:00 my roof was being worked on. By 12:40 they had removed the old plywood and shingles, and gotten all of the new plywood, and liner laid down. They cleaned up my yard from the loose shingles, swept my driveway, and were headed to the dump with my roof.ABC Supply Co. delivered the roof shingles while they were gone, loading them on my roof-- making sure they were ready for the roofing crews return. The ABC guys were fast and efficient as well!As soon as both HR trucks came back, the roofing crew of 5 were up and at it again right away. My roof shingles were completely done, the antenna put back where it belonged, and the yard cleaned up again by 4:30 P.M.They had a great crew of very capable, and knowledgeable men. They work well together, and it shows! I was very, very impressed today!!Id recommend Homer Roofing to anyone that needs to have a roof job done!!
