    If youre thinking about going solar, definitely get a quote from Reficiency. Working with Tyler and his team was a awesome, and I couldnt recommend them more. Unlike the big name companies that I had received quotes from previously, Tyler was able to provide me quotes and comparisons from multiple panel and inverter manufacturers and technologies to find the optimal solution for my roof. Other companies I got quotes from seemed like they were trying to force one brand, or one type of panel or inverter, even if it didnt seem like the best for my home/budget. Tyler paid attention to our budget and project goals, and worked with me to coordinate exactly where the equipment would be installed on my house, how conduit would be run, and how the the system would look. As a local installer, he was way more familiar with the local incentives and permitting process. Many of the big name installers gave me mixed information about the Naperville utility incentives, and it seemed like they were guessing sometimes.His team just finished installing a 12.4kw system on my roof, and we could not be happier with the result. Their team worked fast and got the system running and passed inspection with no issues. The installation is sleek with the low-profile racking they used. Where conduit needed to be exposed, they planned the runs so that theyd blend into the lines on my siding and even painted them to match. Most of the big name installers told me they couldnt make any guarantees up front where conduit would go, and several told me theyd charge more if I asked for anything that was not the most direct path or in the attic.

    I would highly recommend Reficiency Solar! Tyler did an excellent job explaining how everything works together and how the installation would go. His no nonsense approach was highly appreciated after dealing with other solar companies. Additionally, they did outstanding work at our home and we are extremely stratified with there efforts. Tyler and Matt were very friendly and diligent, we are very happy with the look and function of our system! Thanks again guys!!

    So I never had a project done by Tyler on my home… but I did work with him for a long time when he started this company. Tyler thought me a lot about discipline and getting things done the right way. Tyler always made sure his customers were satisfied and every job I did with him he made sure the job was as close to flawless as possible. Being a smaller company, he is able to pay more attention to detail. When I get my first home I will definitely be calling Tyler and going Solar! He does great work and more importantly he’s a great dude.

    Had a great experience working with Tyler and his crew. He did an excellent job explaining the advantages of several different system configurations and took the mystery out of net metering and the Illinois Shines program. Installation was flawless and they took extra care to make sure the system looks as good as it performs. Am already looking to work with Tyler on another project on my house. Highly recommended.

    Tyler and Matt at Reficiency Solar were truly great every step of the way. Their entire setup is designed to save you money...there is no separate sales staff or other general overhead expenses that they need to pass along to you. Tyler and Matt were the ones that came out to my house to talk about the process, put together a very well priced proposal, and did the actual install of the solar panels. Tyler even made sure to talk with me before installing the electrical conduit and talk through the best place to locate it. He also took care of the paperwork for the rebates which took away all of the stress for me in having to deal with this process. In the end, the installation of the panels went very smoothly and they look great!All in all, the guys at Reficiency really did great work and take pride in what they do. It’s not just another job to them...they truly care and work to make sure you’re informed and happy with the final result. It definitely feels good to be able to do what I can to reduce my family’s carbon footprint and I would definitely recommend Reficiency Solar to anyone else that’s interested in reducing theirs.

    I wanted to work with a small, local company that did all the work themselves, so I chose Reficiency for my solar installation and I am so happy I did!I dealt directly with Tyler, the young owner/president of the company himself - he was very easy to reach and responsive, by email or text. He came out himself to check out the site and discuss their proposal with me, and he provided me with a list of houses they had worked on in the area for us to check out (which was very helpful, as my wife was particularly concerned about how the solar panels would look).The whole process went smoothly, I first emailed Reficiency in March 2022, signed the contract in April, installation went without a hitch in mid-July (it took less than a day), and we got the go-ahead from ComEd to turn on the array in late August.I couldnt have been happier with the whole process - we are now generating power on our roof, the quality of the equipment and the installation was top-notch, the cost was very competitive, and the all-black SunPower panels look great, they are sleek and unobtrusive.I highly recommend Reficiency for your home solar installation!

    I am very happy I made the decision to use Reficiency to install my solar panels. I have an 18 panel 6.48 KW array that will offset 100% of my electrical consumption. Every step of the process was well communicated and professionally managed. Working in construction myself, Tyler provided the level of service I had hoped for. The installation looks great. The installers were clean and conscientious of my home and neighbors. Tyler followed through on all my requests and kept me informed throughout. I would definitely recommend talking to Tyler if you’re interested in installing solar panels!

    Highly RecommendedIn mid-August we contracted with Reficiency Solar (Tyler and his team) to install a +6kw solar system for our home. If you are like me you’ll do plenty of research prior to signing a contract to learn what’s possible both within your expectations and budget. From our initial meeting to commissioning the finished product with the power company Reficiency Solar exceeded our expectations and delivered well within our budget!Here are some of the ways they did that…Managing the Process - Every detail was handled efficiently and professionally from obtaining city permits and inspections, getting materials shipped and installed to finally getting the system linked and authorized by ComEd. If there were bumps in the road we didn’t feel them. The original inverter was damaged in shipping but Tyler worked magic to get a new unit shipped within two days despite the current supply chains issues.Quality of Materials - While other contractors bids included materials with lower ratings at higher prices Reficiency came in with top rated REC panels and an SMA Inverter. That original inverter that was damaged Tyler upgraded to a better unit, at no additional cost, to keep the project on track and now provides the opportunity to expand in the future.Quality of Workmanship - With many house projects there is what you can see and what you can’t. When our city inspector came out to check both the seen and unseen (what’s inside the meter box and inverter) he specifically called out the excellent work in those unseen elements. I take it as great sign when the inspector is offering compliments.Look of the Project - You feel good when the people working on your home treat it like their own. That was the case with Reficiency. They worked with the specific intent that the finished product looked good; from how the panels were symmetrically placed to the color of the conduit matching the siding. Even taking the time to ensure everything was clean and tidy spoke to the level of professionalism this company represents.Reficiency Solar delivered outstanding service, products and value for our solar project and is highly recommended to our family and friends!

    Tyler at Refiency was fantastic to work with. We leveraged his expertise while building our new home in Lisle. He was able to work seamlessly with our general contractor and architect. He helped design a 7.3kW array with some of the best equipment on the market.Refiency coordinated all permitting requirements with the village and is handling all paperwork with ComEd as well as the Illinois SREC program. He has made the process so simple and straightforward.They have gone above and beyond answering all my questions.We couldn’t be happier and give him the highest recommendation possible. With all the current incentives for solar and Tyler’s expertise you can’t go wrong!

    I got four different estimates for a small 3.15 KW Solar system. Tyler gave me the most reasonable estimate. He worked with me on the design and integrated my wishes. The installation was completed in the timeline he proposed. He took care of the village permit, Comed net metering application and helped me with the SREC rebate program. The result was an out-of-pocket cost of 40% of the estimated price = (full price upfront payment) minus (30% Federal Tax credit which declines to 26% in 2020 and ~ 30% SREC rebate) The breakeven point of the investment is only 4 years. Now is the best time to install Solar and I would recommend Tyler and his team to anybody who is interested in it.

    Tyler, Matt, and the other folks at Reficiency Solar provided an excellent experience at a great rate. They did as big of a job as you can for our house (27 panels) and everything check out with the inspectors without any problem.During the process, Tyler was incredibly helpful, kind, and informative when going over the proposed project and different approaches that were available. Based on his calls and input, I was able to make a better informed decision than just based on my own independent research I had done up to that point.Everything from installation times to responses were very timely (Tyler even answered a question while on his honeymoon despite me saying to wait until he returned, just by way of example). Reficiency Solar was never the bottleneck for anything -- that mostly came from processing paperwork and the like. Applications for rebates were all filed quickly and effectively (and Tyler knows these thoroughly and can explain some of the nuances that are hide to find despite being public information).Overall, a terrific experience and I am glad I was able to work with the team. Highly recommended!
