    Of all the contractors we reviewed when choosing someone to finish our basement, Millgate Homes was the most professional and competent company and gave us a very cost-efficient bid. They were also able to start the work within a few weeks of me signing the contract. They completed our basement apartment on schedule (maybe even slightly ahead) and within budget, and they did a beautiful job! The subcontractors were polite and easy to work with, and Eric or his son were always quick to respond to any questions or concerns I had, usually within hours. After dealing with other contractors now, I am even more impressed with them. They do what they say they will do, and they are honest and professional, and that is hard to find these days! I would highly recommend them.

    I had a great experience with Eric of Millgate homes. I love my basement. His whole team was professional, kind and did great work. Eric pays attention to the details which is rare in the world of contracting these days. You wont be disappointed.

    Millgate Homes finished our basement and they were wonderful to work with. Eric came out and took measurements and knew more information about how we should do our layout then the original builder of the home. It was then that we decided to go with Millgate. They were reasonably priced and their finish work is really good. They were good with communicating with us through the process and fixed anything that we asked. I have already recommended them to many of my neighbors.

    Working with Millgate Homes has been a pleasure! The communication was ongoing and I always knew where we were in the process. The expectations and contract was clear and the subcontractors were very professional. Prices were reasonable and I received much help in making decisions and selections. And I love the final result! Very happy with our new basement and highly recommend Millgate homes for your basement finishing project.

    Millgate did a fantastic job on our basement. On budget, on time, and Eric & Mitch were very easy to work with. They executed a custom built-in entertainment center to our exact specs and it looks beautiful. Another huge plus - Eric’s craftsmen were all seasoned and professional. Would recommend to anyone!!

    I rarely write reviews but I think I need to in this case. This company was excellent to work with. Initially I didnt know exactly what I wanted to do with the basement, but I had ideas. When Eric came over I discussed it with him and he clarified a few things for me and I felt we ended up with a really nice design. He put me in the queue and once I was in, it was like clockwork. Everything was on time, professional, and high quality. I had plenty of help picking out colors and making decisions. After a couple of years and after working with a different contractor for a different project, I look back on the experience with a lot of appreciation. I highly recommend this company

    We received bids from a number of different contractors and not only did Millgate provide the most comprehensive, but it was also very competitive. Our neighbors chose another contractor and started a month before us on their basement finish and Millgate finished a month before them! We would definitely recommend them.

    Millgate Homes finished our basement. They were very professional, worked with our budget, had great insight and information for our space. The thing I loved the most though, is they showed up when they said they would, and finished on time. Very friendly and easy to work with.

    Millgate Homes remodeled my kitchen a few years ago, and Im still in love with it. We have an older home, and the kitchen was completely outdated and cramped. They helped us with ideas to make it feel more open, and even add some storage space. Great quality on everything, its been about 3 years and we havent had any issues.

    When we decided to finish our basement, we received many bids from various contractors. Eric from Millgate Homes stood out because he was very professional and he gave us a very competitive and detailed bid. Eric is very knowledgeable and he guided us on different options through out the project. Eric has a wonderful team of subcontractors who are very professional and did a great job. Eric and Mitch were very responsive to all the questions we had. Also, Mitch gave us periodic updates on the cost and kept us informed. Towards the end some the subcontractors fell sick, but Eric made sure the work got completed on time. We are glad we chose to work with Millgate Homes and would highly recommend them!!

    We visited a neighbor who had Millgate Homes complete their basement. We were amazed that the colors, carpets and style matched their upstairs area. It looked like it was done at the same time as the building of their home. We met with Eric and explained what we wanted. He came back in a few days with the plan, calendar and cost estimate. We were sold. His estimate was what we anticipated. We were given a schedule and time frame. Everything on the schedule was completed when they said it would be done. With the budget given, we were able to pick out granite, cabinets, microwave, and flooring. Eric listened to our desires and worked with it. He didnt say, No. You cant have that. You really want this. Eric was very personable and very easy to communicate with. He would check up to see the progress and was very hands on as a contractor. If we had a question or concern, Eric would walk us through the process. People who have seen our basement have commented on the quality and craftsmanship of the work completed.

    Two years ago, we received a bid from Eric Millgate Homes that would allow us to turn our basement into an apartment rental. The proposal included a highly detailed schedule of when sub contractors would be in our home. It was amazing. The schedule was followed exactly and we never had any delays. When we asked his subcontractors what they liked best about Eric, they said he was honest, precise in his bids, paid them all on time and it was a pleasure to work with him. He stayed right in budget and was always available for phone calls. Again, we couldnt have been happier. It is beautiful and of the highest quality.

    Eric & Millgate Homes helped us complete our basement in 2017. We cannot recommend them highly enough. Three things stood out:1. The bid was detailed, accurate and included firm commitments in terms of completion that were lived up to.2. We did not have to upgrade any of the bid items to fit our semi-custom home. The finishes, hardware and electricals included in the bid were not builder grade and were uniformly high quality.3. Third and most important, each and every one of the sub-contractors were classy, respectful and were real gentlemen. The work could be executed with my wife and children at home with no concerns whatsover.Eric himself is a real pleasure to work with. A true professional who also treats his clients like friends.

    I contacted a few contractors when looking for someone to finish my basement. My neighbors had just finished theirs with Millgate Homes so I gave Eric a call. He stood out right away. After asking a few questions about the size of the space and general plans, he was able to give a rough estimate and timeline on the first phone call! His was not the lowest bid, but he knows where to put the money for the best quality result. Everything was clearly detailed in the contract before work began, including costs for possible upgrades. I wanted some customizations to the theater room and Eric made it happen. He was closely involved with the subcontractors to make sure the project stayed on schedule. Any issues or questions that arose were handled professionally and fairly. Eric is a man of his word and I was always certain when he said something he would stand behind it and get it done.Heres one example of Millgate Homes going above and beyond. I ended up with two doors on the same wall only a foot apart. One is an exterior door for the mechanical room, the other a standard interior door. I didnt know at the time that exterior doors are not the same height as interior doors, which meant the trim didnt line up. I pointed it out to Eric. He explained the difference between the door types, and could have left it at that, but said he would talk to the carpenter. A few days later the trim had been cut so the doors look even! He didnt charge extra for it. Erics attention to detail and drive for quality and customer satisfaction shined through several times like this throughout the project.I would recommend Eric and Millgate Homes without reservation. They are honest, hard working, and customer focused. It was a pleasure working with them!
