09/15/24, 09/16/24In the last two days I have had several A#1 employees at my house. Kenneth Mills was first on the scene. He diagnosed our problem with our A/C unit which ended up being a bad compresser. It was late Sunday evening so he documented everything and assured me someone would be out the next day to explain my options. That someone was Norbert Lopez right on time Monday morning. He was very thorough explaining my options and cost. Once he explained the details and small print then we decided on the plan of to replace my unit. Norbert coordinated the installation that same day. The install was completed by John Solis. John was very professional and did a outstanding job with the installation of an A/C unit that was bigger then he was. He worked by himself doing the job of two men. He completed the work on time and to my satisfaction. A#1 AIR is expensive but you get what you pay for. I always found that great employees make for a great company. A#1AIR has some excellent people...08/24Cody and Carl from A#1Air were out today as scheduled to make repairs to my A/C unit. They had to go into the attic to replace a cooling coil. These guys were all business and very professional. They completed the job and had our unit back on line in a couple of hours. I would recommend these guys and this company to anyone.

He was just amazing! He kept us posted on his arrival time. He greeted us with a friendly warm smile! He was really patient in explaining the thermostat and how to set things up. He even put me to the test putting what he had just explained. Now so many questions I had were answered and my tech savvy son was there as my backup. Then he kindly replaced a new filter we had bought yesterday up into the attic. Just concluded a service call with Taylor Anderson. He checked everything and was able quickly diagnose and fix the problem along with providing me with some helpful insight about my unit. In addition he re-adhered a drain hose he noticed was loose during his repair (small issue that was easy to fix but also easy to go unnoticed. It was awesome he took the time to do that for us). Service was covered under warranty and very pleased with the customer service all the way from my initial call thru the service and repair.

He took care of our routine maintenance, cleaned off a sensor that was dirty and got up into the attic to give me an estimate that I had asked for. He was very professional. I’ve had good results with this company every time I’ve used them.

The tech named Sam Andrei did my service call for a quote on a full replacement. I’m just a tenant so I don’t know what plans my landlord has for replacing our problematic unit or who they’re going to end up going with. But I just wanted to write a review that Sam was so nice and respectful of our property. He arrived in a timely manner and was very knowledgeable and friendly. He discovered some other safety issues that we weren’t even aware of and we appreciate his attention to detail. Highly recommend 🙂

Peter was very personable and helpful. I shared with him that I don’t like the new online system as there’s no ability to take notes from the tech and it takes forever to receive it. I have had to call to get the forms released a month later. The notes and pictures provided don’t display or thoroughly outline what the tech has shared. If you’re making improvements and it takes 24-72 hrs on avg to receive it needs to have better summaries included.It would be nice to receive a recap of items discussed prior on the same log. It’ll make things more efficient

Mark was fantastic. I had a clogged shower drain and had Berkeleys come out yesterday. They wanted to charge $380 to snake a drain. I called A#1 and mark came out. For their $100 special, he had it unclogged in less than 30 minutes. Mark was kind, courteous, and efficient. Is was a perfect service. I will absolutely use them again.

Update: Thursday, Dec 19,2024Taylor Anderson came by to do our Heating Checkup on our HVAC System. He did an awesome job and also shared the advantages and disadvantages of different AC Filters and MERC ratings. He also recommended two types after looking at the filter I had that. Totally recommend A#1 Air and have Taylor checked your unit.——————————————————————-We had three service technicians show up on Friday and they were all professional; Ronaldis, Ethan and Xavier.They wore the booties on their shoes, they moved bookcases, cabinets, appliances, etc to get to the outlets and switches. They moved everything back and they also went around and cleaned up and used a vacuum.We have been using A#1 Air for years (since 2009). We used some local electricians and HVAC Companies from 1995 to 2009, but A#1 were always upfront on the costs of the repairs, the pros and cons, warranty and service issues, fixing a problem instead of selling a whole new unit not needed. I have seen workers here at my home until 10pm trying to resolve an issue.We had a situation a week ago that after a large thunderstorm, the next morning half of the bedroom electrical outlets and lights were not working. They came and found out that our 1977 home had a different type of electrical wiring to the outlets and there was a loose wire which could have started an electrical fire. They fixed it and the other outlets worked.They recommended replacing all of my outlets and light switches (we had some that would stick or we would have to flip up and down). It turns out that out of about 40 outlets and switches in the house, about 40% of them had loose wiring or the insulation showed signs of heating up.They also found an issue in my fairly recent circuit panel that one of the switches was not tripping properly.They did an electrical inspection and found that our home did not have enough GFI plugs (it was built in 1977). They were the first electrical company to come through and tell us this.We feel better about seeing the improvement and knowing we can sleep a little better at night.About 10 years ago that was a home down our alley that did catch on fire and burned to the ground.Around 2009 we had A#1 replace our original and faulty (in the news) of an electrical panel was widely used but should be replaced (Western Pacific).You could find someone cheaper? Probably. I tried that years ago and I had mismatched condensers and HVAC units in the house. A#1 years ago upgraded ours so it was more efficient for our square footage.They also have painless and affordable financing. We went with a reputable finance company that had a low 6% that we could afford in our budget.We had them also install attic insulation years ago too.A#1 also has plumbing services too.I like how they will send an email of who is arriving, give you a courtesy call the day before and the day of.It is nice to work with a company like A#1 that has a detailed record of what work has been done in my home (that they will honor) compared to trying to work with a variety of different trades.They have my Five Star Review!

Not sure how I feel about the first technician that came to my house, even though he was very thorough, he did recommend things that I didn’t feel I needed.However, I did go with duct cleaning service. Several days later, Andy and Ian came to my house, For a thorough duct cleaning. That is the only item on the quote that I went through with, as I knew I needed it. In about three hours they thoroughly cleaned my system. They were on time and made sure to cover up everything so that there was no mess. They were extremely professional, And they answered all of questions. I feel that they did an A+ job, and they were pleasant people to have around. I did not feel inconvenienced at all, and they were even really wonderful with making sure my pets were safe and comfortable. I would recommend these two technicians for any other job in my home

Prior to the cold weather arriving in DFW I had A#1 Air come out and do the early maintenance and inspection on our two furnaces. DeUndrey Harris was the tech that arrived promptly and did a thorough inspection of our two systems. Everything checked out ok and he was done in about an hour. He was polite and did a thorough inspection and provided a few options that were preventative in nature. We are on their program and there was no charge for this service.

The gentleman you all sent out was great but what was not great is getting charged almost 900 dollars for labor. I get it you have to run a business but when I was sold this unit a little over 6 years ago and paid alot of money for it I hate to have to now pay alot of money to get it fixed when it breaks. Clint was very helpful regarding our concerns with a gas leak in our water heater. He explained the process on how he could determine if that was the issue. The water heater was ok but because of the age he recommended a new one and provided us options. My AC just went out last night. Currently, it is 84 degrees inside my house. Ive used A#1 before for insulation and they were great, so I had to call them again. Matt Summers was my technician, and he was outstanding. He called to let me know he was on the way and arrived right on time. He checked everything about my AC system. Matt talked me through my options and explained what each one meant in terms of labor, warranty and cost. Ultimately, I decided to replace my condenser, which is not cheap at all. I know nothing about AC units so I asked a lot of questions, all of which he answered patiently! They have 0% financing that I qualified for; otherwise, this was going to be a big chunk of cash. The BEST news of all: theyre installing the new condenser TODAY. I was definitely not expecting that. I dont know if A#1 Air is the cheapest in town, but honestly, nothing about AC repairs is ever cheap. And Matts service was above and beyond and I couldnt be happier.

Prices are very fair and their techs have always been consistently good. I highly recommend this group. But for plumbing needs, I’d ask them to send out Clint. You’ll be happy with his workmanship.

Have to post this rave review because the service I got from A1 was just that - A1. Each A1 employee was thorough, transparent, professional, polite, and did an exceptional job in replacing my outside and inside AC units as well as completing an overhaul of my air duct system. This level of expertise was not cheap however for my forever home it felt like a good investment. Manny the seasoned technician gave me all options and allowed me to make an educated decision on how to fix my AC issues. Leo Salazar and his partner were efficient yet detailed during the removal and install of the new units. Left my attic 1000% better than when they arrived. Juan was professional as he installed the free surge protector for my electrical box. All and all for a single mom overwhelmed with the high cost of replacing my whole AC unit, the employees made me feel a little about the cost reward of my investment.

I appreciate their insight on maintenance care and upkeep to ensure we get the most out of our AC. I appreciate the fact that when they ran into an issue with one of the parts, they were able to get on the phone with their manager, Rob, and come up with an efficient solution. The parts department was closed that day, but they came back early the next morning with the updated part and finished the job without delay.On the day of service we received a call from the call center to confirm our appointment, and then another call when the technicians were on the way. The technicians were on time and when they left, made sure everything was cleaned. My wife and I were very frustrated that our AC went out. However, the services, and education of our system from the technicians, helped to ease our anxieties. The issue was discovered quickly and fixed soon after. While Lucas was here, he even checked the entire A/C system to ensure all was OK. It was. A#1 Air installed our two HVAC units just three years ago, so it was all covered under the warranty. I think Im going to have A#1 take care of the warranty and replacement. I cant wait on the other company to fool around, like they usually do. Anderson did a fine job. He worked hard, was patient. It was very hot too. He solved every problem with ease. Nick helped get the ball rolling sooner than was originally scheduled. Give Anderson and Nick a big raise each. All A/C guys work in the blazing heat all day and many of those days are long and into the night.

Learned a lot today like all the previous visits from this company and the other that came out either seriously overlooked stuff or didn’t report it to me because that wasn’t what the service call was for. At least that’s what I’m thinking. Because of the age of the units and government mandate no work could really be done so that was money waisted for visit.But the worker ( Sam ) and the guy he was training were professional and done a through job. That much can be appreciated.

I can’t say enough about Robert and Kevin, just call them the Dynamic Duo. Rookie move on my part on Thanksgiving, causing lots of laughter ( to everyone but my husband), dishes to be cleaned in the bathtub and a phone call to A1 Air. All jokes aside, they came in, cleared my drain pipe, and even cleaned up the area. The joke now is, it was in inexpensive repair, but REALLY expensive mashed potatoes lol. Thanks guys for the assist, the Thanksgiving story is now truly funny with a happy ending :)Polite and professional all the way.

Nothing is more disturbing than to have your A/C fail at 2 a.m. on a Friday morning. But A1 was able to get us a technician within a couple of hours from our call. He was helpful in options for replacing our 23 year old unit and they were able to deliver and install it before the day was out. They few issues we had following the installation were taken care of immediately. Great company and a pleasure to do business with them.
