    My new windows are such a wonderful upgrade! They glide easily and keep my house so quiet from outside noises. They are beautiful and added the perfect finishing touch to my house overhaul.     I feel like we got a custom job on our siding that looks great, it changed the look so much of our house, we had other bids that were more money and less quality.     Our house has 19 windows and all of them were 25 years old. Many of them had lost their seals and provided little in the way of insulating capacity. In shopping around for replacement windows we found it hard to beat Mountain States for value.Working with their salesman (Dave) was an engaging process- he was able to give us a competitive bid on energy efficient Triple-pane windows at a price that came in lower than the other vendors we engaged. He was quick to understand our questions and worked to make the purchasing process go as smoothly as possible. He remained responsive from beginning to end, even after we had signed the contract.Installation of the windows went well- we are HIGHLY satisfied with the workmanship of Willey and his team. They worked quickly to remove and replace the old windows and make sure the new ones were aligned and sealed properly. Because of the care placed into this work Im confident the windows will last a long time.Now that we have our new triple pane windows installed we have noticed a reduction in noise from the outside and a noticeable improvement in temperature consistency in the house. They also look GREAT and you can clearly tell the difference between our house and others in the neighborhood that still retain the original windows.Overall I am pleased with the responsiveness of everyone involved in the window purchasing and installation process.     Had Ian with Mountain States come out and give me a bid on new windows for my home. When Willie came and installed the windows it was very quick...it only took him 5 1/2 hours for him and his assistant to put in 14 windows in my home. Other than new, beautiful, shiny windows you never would of known anything changed...absolutely no damage to any interior or exterior. I was shocked new windows was so seamless....and then to see the upgrades that were made, at no extra cost to me. They really go above and beyond to make you happy.

    I had Mountain States replace 16 Windows in our home last summer and everything about the experience from start to finish was great! The salesman was very friendly and honest. The installers were awesome, they laid tarps and blankets to protect our flooring and always cleaned up their mess. We received multiple bids, compared all specs of the windows and are 100% satisfied with our windows! Weve noticed a huge difference in our utility bills and the overall efficiency of our home!

    Ian is the best salesman, made sure we had the right siding material for our project. Ian has even offer to come over and show me techniques on how to properly install the siding. He has been great to work with from day one, when he came to give us a free estimate for our project. I would recommend them for your projects.     I had a great experience with Mountain States Windows and Siding from start to finish. We had several (3+) consultations where Ian personally met with us to discuss what we wanted our new siding to look like. Then Don carefully executed the job. It turned out just beautiful and we couldnt be happier. We also appreciated that Don always picked up after himself and never left a mess that our toddler could get into. Even when a small piece of fascia blew off in a windstorm recently Don came out and fixed it for us!

    We called Ian after two of our windows started leaking. I was expecting to have a hard time finding someone who could come out quickly since it was such a small job; however, I was surprised when I got a returned phone call a few hours later, and he showed up at my doorstep a few hours after that. I was worried the windows would need replaced, but after examining them, he told me they just needed repaired. He had every reason in the world to try to sell me new windows, but he didnt. We scheduled the needed repair, which was completed a few days later. I was so impressed with his willingness to help me, his honesty, and the pricing of his window repair man. I wish everyone I dealt with for a home repair was as good as Mountain States.

    We had new siding put on our house and it it amazing.Ian made the initial contact with us and we discussed design and colors.Don was the installer and he does spectacular work. He is truly a craftsman, all the wrapping around doors and windows is unbelievable.He was able to work thru problems with our house framing and make it look great. Don was always on time and very professional. l would highly recommend this company.

    Dave Candland was great and communication was wonderful! My new windows look great and I couldnt be happier with them. I had bids from 2 other businesses and Mountain States was able to beat them both for price and quality. Overall very positive experience and would highly recommend.

    I had my windows installed about 18 months ago. The first winter that happened I started to get water coming through just a little. Later, I started getting full on leaking. I can never get anyone to call me back to address the issue. I dont feel at all that I got a good value.Update: I was contacted by the company, and they came out and resealed a lot of the windows. They were nice and attentive. Im still not sure how great these windows are as Im not a window person, but the company itself is very good.

    In March 2016, I went to the Salt Lake Tribune Home Show, I mainly went to go look at windows. I have been in my house for 24 years and it seems my HVAC is on all the time and my house is freezing in the winter and hot in the summer. My original windows were a double paint glass in an aluminum frame that came with the house. I updated the insulation in my attic a few years ago and I think this helped a bit with the temperature in my home. Still when it is freezing cold in the winter and I stand in my bay window in my bedroom, it is so cold in there I think I am only 1 or 2 degrees away from seeing the steam from my breath.At the Home Show I went to several booths selling windows and was left a little cool by most of them, several didn’t want to show my much of their product, they just wanted to schedule an in home demo. I like to look at products first to see if I want to invite the company into my home, so I just moved on.I stopped in and visited with Mountain States Windows. Dave was actually pretty chatty and was happy to show me the windows he was selling. He spent the time showing me his product and why triple pane windows in a vinyl frame are much more efficient than my original windows. He said that he knows that his windows would definitely help keep my house more comfortable year around.I invited him out to the house for a demo and to provide a bid. I also selected two other venders to come out and do the same. I had all 3 vendors come out, about a week apart and I had each of them just measure and bid the 9 front windows of my house.The first bid was outrageously overpriced for just the 9 windows, and they were selling a double pane window. Mountain States came out second and they came in at 1/3 of the price of the first company with a triple pane window. They came in at a price I can work with. The third company also was selling a triple pane window and came in just a couple hundred more than Mountain States.After visiting with the 3 dealers I ended up choosing Mountain States, I liked the product and Dave was a pretty nice guy. The quote ended up being less then I expected it would be for all 23 windows. I wend to the bank, got the funds and ordered with Dave about a week later.When the windows came in, Willy (the installer) called to schedule the installation date. The installation is a bit intrusive and messy but Willy and his assistant did a great job with the install. Willy came with a tarp, a vacuum and made very little mess during installation. He didn’t need anything from me except to move my furniture that was near the window.It took Willy two days to install all the windows. He didn’t hide any issues that came up while installing. I have two windows with rounded tops, he explained that sometimes the sheetrock around these windows can crack or break depending on how it was installed. He installed these windows on his first day and they did break a little but he patched them up before he left that first day. On day two he sanded what he had patched and they were as good as new. He also found a crack in one of the windows he brought. He showed me the problem and told me he had already ordered the replacement glass.The reason it took me about 8 months to write this review is because I wanted to see how these windows would change the airflow, heating costs and the feel of my house, especially in a cold winter. It is now January and it is freezing outside. It is truly amazing how comfortable my whole house is now. My heating bill is probably about 35 to 40% cheaper then in the past. They look great and it was nice to see how little outside noise I could hear once the new windows were installed. I am definitely happy that I replaced the windows and happy that I went with the folks at Mountain States Windows.

    I recently worked with Aaron from Mountain States Windows & Siding to have the siding on my garage and the gables of my home replaced. After getting several bids, with one of those companies trying to pressure me into a decision while they were in my home, I knew Mountain States would be the best option. They were so helpful and professional! There was no pressure and they answered all of my questions. Aaron even had large color samples of the siding, which made it so much easier to visualize which color would work best. I ended up changing my mind on my color choice because of this and I am so glad! The new siding looks amazing! I definitely recommend Mountain States Windows & Siding.

    We bought our house this year and did not love the windows or sliding back door.. They were old aluminum windows that were drafty and as we live right next to a road with moderate traffic, they were very loud and we could hear every car go by. Our master bedroom is on the 2nd floor and was still cold all the time. We were even using a portable heater. We knew about mountain states from a relative and decided to use them. They came an measured and explained the process. They gave us bid (and stuck by it). They ordered the windows and door and told us it would take about 5 weeks to get them. They came and installed them and the difference is night and day. Now we no longer hear every car go by and the house is nice and warm. Also nice that every window has a screen. Also the lock on our sliding door was broken and now the new one is nice and easy to close and also has a nice screen door with it. Thank you so much for the great job! We love our new Windows and sliding door.We would definitely recommend mountain states windows and siding.

    Mountain States Windows put 8 new windows in a 4-plex I own. I couldnt be happier with the value, the workmanship and the look of the new windows.     Last March I went to the Salt Lake Tribune Home show, I wanted to look at windows. I have been in my house for 24 years and it’s freezing all winter. My current windows are double pane aluminum.I did stop in and visit with Mountain States. Dave was chatty and happy to show me his product. He spent a half hour showing me his windows, why a triple pane window is a good way to go. He said that he knows that his windows would definitely help keep my house warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer.I have a total of 23 windows. I had 3 dealers come out, The first bid was outrageously overpriced and they were double pane windows. Mountain States came in at 1/3 of the cost for their triple pane windows, the other vendor was higher than Mountain States with a triple pane window. Triple pane IS better than double pane. The Questar and Rocky Mtn. Power rebates are bigger! I would have received about $120 from the double pane but got about $1100.00 for triple panes I had installed. I figured if they were giving a higher rebate they are probably better windows.I chose Mountain States, I liked the product and I liked Dave. I invited him out to give me a quote. It ended up being less than I thought for all 23 windows. I ordered with Dave about a week later.The windows were delivered and installed about a month after I placed the order. Willy (the installer) called and scheduled an installation date and time. Now the installation is a little intrusive and a bit messy but Willy and his assistant did a great job with the install. Willy came with a tarp that he put down before he started working on the window, a vacuum to clean up any debris, loads of caulking for the new windows and all the tools needed.It took him two days to install all the windows, they looked great and it was nice how little outside noise I could hear compared to the old windows. Another nice thing about Willy is that he doesnt try to hide any issues that came about. I had two windows with rounded tops. He explained that sometimes the sheetrock around these type of windows easily break because there isnt wood behind the whole length of the rounded sheetrock. He installed these windows on the first day as they were more challenging and they did break a little but he patched them up. On day two he sanded what he had patched and they were good as new. He also found a crack in one of the windows. He came to me and showed me the problem, he let me know that he was going to install it anyway but that a new window had been ordered and he should be able to deliver and install it in about 2 weeks. He did indeed call two weeks later and setup a time to fix this one window.I wanted to wait and see how these windows would change the airflow, heating costs etc., especially my freezing bedroom. They are just as efficient now as they were when installed in June. it is truly amazing how comfortable my house is now. I cant tell you how big of a difference the feel is, I can sit in my chair next to our bay window it and not be chilled. My heating bill is about 35 to 40% cheaper than in the past years. I am definitely happy that I replaced the windows and happy that I went with the folks at Mountain States Windows.

    Less expensive, good quality windows (Cascade Windows). Set your expectations appropriately as the windows can take 30-45 days to manufacture. Double check that theyve ordered all windows and that they meet the agreed upon specs.Cant beat the value they offer. Wont be top of the line but theyre solid windows. The owner, Ian, has a personal approach to resolving any issues.

    Ian was great to work with! He kept his word and was on time. There were a few things that needed to be redone and Ian was wonderful. He didnt forget or try to ignore it. 4 stars because there were things about the siding that I dont like but cant be fixed, due to lack of resources.

    Our house was in bad shape, and we needed new everything. When it came time to get siding, most companies didnt answer, and didnt call back. One company said they couldnt send someone to give me an estimate for a month. Ian with Mountain States answered and came that day.Once we got the type of siding and colors picked out and ordered, the installation went smoothly and more quickly than expected. We also got soffit and fascia, which had never been installed on this house before.😍 My house is beautiful now, and I love seeing it when I come home! I dont have to wear a sweater in the house this winter, and my heating costs have gone down this winter.     I am completely impressed with Mountain States Windows and Siding. We needed to replace a very small section of vinyl siding on our house. Most companies werent willing to help me find a match or sell me such a small amount. But Mountain States was so helpful! They were responsive, knowledgable, and generous. They really bent over backwards to help me get the couple pieces I needed (and quickly, too!). There really is no job too small for these guys!     It has been 6 years this May since I had Mountain States Windows install my new windows in my 24 year old house. I bumped into Dave, my Mountain States sales rep, the other day and was telling him how much I have enjoyed them. I had forgotten how long ago I had purchased them and so I looked up my Yelp review to jog my memory.Wow! These 6 years have kind of flown by. I decided I should give an update as to how these windows have changed my house. Before I had these windows, I had a double pane window with aluminum frames. My house had always been cold near these windows in December through March and hot during July and August. The reason we chose to upgrade was mainly because I knew these windows with the aluminum frame were radiating the outside heat and cold into my house.Our utility bills were ridiculously high. During the summer months, our A/C would pretty much run non stop. It ran so much that the coils in our A/C unit froze up. To fix this we would have to shut the A/C unit down for 2 days to thaw out. We had HVAC people come and look at it. They would say that it just isn’t big enough for our current structure. One guy told us that it was our windows and lack of insulation that were to blame. On many occasions our electrical bill was over $400 during the summer and gas was in the mid $300’s in the winter.My husband and I grabbed our gas and electricity bills for the last few years and I was pretty amazed at what we have been saving year after year. We have been saving about 60% on both our electric and gas bills. That is huge in my book. I would have to say that these windows have literally paid for themselves over the last 6 years and they are still saving me money today. Not only are we saving money, but with this last year of having to stay home due to the virus, my husband and I have been very comfortable all year long. These windows have also knocked the volume of noisy cars, trucks, kids, animals and tools down considerably.In the end, I am very happy with the windows we bought from Mountain States Windows. I think next we are going to have Mountain States Cabinets work on our kitchen. It is due for a facelift.I hope this helps anyone looking for windows. I was really skeptical at first, but it has made a mountain of difference to the looks and the comfort of my home.

    Having served as a carrier pilot in the Navy where ‘attention to detail’ was paramount, it became evident that incorporating that thought process would serve one well in daily life and in future professional endeavors.That credo seems to be sadly lacking in many of today’s trade and construction businesses. That was certainly NOT the issue with Mountain States Windows which was researched and singled out to re-side my home. Upon close inspection of prior completed projects it became clear that this company would be able to retain the look and feel of the house that I personally built 35 years ago. The 2½ story Victorian style house with its intricate characteristics would certainly pose a challenge to any siding and window company but Mountain States was confident in their expertise and guaranteed my complete satisfaction and at a price that was exceptionally reasonable compared to other competitive bids. And the quoted price was exactly the final price paid with no ‘add-on surprise’ expenses for oversights or unforseen problems. Truly a professional operation with the precise outcome I wanted. I would highly recommend this business to anyone who needs siding, windows, or doors.
