    Over all I am very happy with the results. They were very professional and supportive when we asked for a few changes to the original plan.They were also able to move up the schedule and completed the work quickly.however, I was not thrilled with the quality of the concrete work.Had to ask them to return and smooth all the rough areas and fill gaps that were left in the floor after the installation of the system.So far after 2 rain storms our basement is dryI would definitely recommend them

    We thought we had adequately protected our basement against flooding. Recent storms proved us wrong. We had several instances in the past couple of year that resulted in several inches of water, resulting in damage to property and hazardous mold. Sundahl Waterproofing and their team helped us immensely. They installed French drains and new sump pumps, and the results have been outstanding. The team was not only professional but also respectful throughout the process. Their prices were reasonable, and the communication was excellent.     Christian and Sundhal did an amazing job on my basement. We didn’t have a standing water issue but were getting moisture on the Sheetrock surrounding the exterior walls. He recommended a great company for the demo of the existing finished basement and his team waterproofed our basement and garage in less than a week. There was an initial issue of certain parts of the house being inaccessible but they were very responsive to feedback and came back out with specialized tools to get the job done.     Moving in to a new home only to find your basement is affected by minor flooding during heavy rain is never an ideal situation, but one that needed to be addressed right away. We immediately called in a handful of companies to assess the situation and propose a solution. We felt as though some of the big box companies were constantly trying to oversell by using scare tactics and shiny marketing material, and their pricing was on the moon. We also know of neighbors who opted to go with one of these other well known companies, and theyve unfortunately experienced continued trouble since the installation. Meeting with Greg from Sundahl was a breath of fresh air. Greg took the time to explain their solution in an easy to understand way, and we never felt pressured to pull the trigger. The owner, Christian, also took the time to come by for a second consultation after additional questions arose. The pricing was very competitive compared to other vendors as well. After accepting the bid, we were scheduled for work within a week (full basement perimeter drain + dual sump pumps). Jean and his crew (shoutout to Jose & Alan) showed up timely each day, were clean, efficient, and extremely respectful. Each time I went down to take a look at the progress, they were happy to take me through exactly what they were doing and what was coming next. Work just wrapped up last week & I couldnt be happier with the finished product. We just so happened to get a few days of rain afterwards and the new sump pumps are already discharging 800-1000 gallons of water per day flawlessly. I highly recommend Christian & the Sundahl team for any type of drainage/ waterproofing needs you may have. Dont hesitate- give them a call!

    I hired Sundahl Waterproofing to install a french drain system in my basement (including new sump pump) and encapsulate the adjacent crawl space. Throughout the process from bid to conclusion, Christian and his team were thorough and professional. They made sure I understood the proposed solution, and they kept me apprised of progress as it continued. Unbeknownst to both me as the homeowner and Christians team, my basement floor ended up being much thicker (18 of concrete!) than anticipated, but Sundahl Waterproofing still saw the job through and did what it took to deliver the right solution.Before picking Sundahl I went through the process of getting 2 other competitive bids as well, and I found Sundahl to be both price competitive and more thorough in their explanations and proposed solution. Were about a month post project and after several significant storms our basement remains dry. Id personally recommend their team to anyone looking for a basement system.

    Christian and his team set up a perimeter drain in my basement after having water incursion from gutter blockages. They came in and were able to quickly excavate and work around my schedule in a timely and efficient manner. Due to the rain this past weekend and an unexpected gutter blockage again I was able to actually see the system in use as well and it kept my basement dry. Would recommend if looking to waterproof your basement.

He was accessible by phone (actually returned my call the same day!).. and was over to diagnose and quote the problem in my basement within a few days - because it was not an emergency. He was able to schedule the work quickly and his team (Jean and two other men) were extremely professional, hard working and thorough. Christians follow-up through-out the process and after the job was done was excellent. Its only been a few weeks, but we have had a number of storms and no water to be seen anywhere -- even with the 6 day power outage!!Highly recommend for all your waterproofing needs!!

    USE SUNDAHL WATERPROOFING- here is why: We have lived in our house for 35 years. When we bought the house we were told that after 3 inches of rain, the basement would get wet. A mason installed a sump pump on one side of the basement and this solved the problem for some years. At the turn of the millennium we started getting water again, this time it was much more frequent and annoying. Even with a pump we were getting wet. When Hurricane Ida struck Westchester we got 21 inches of standing water in the basement. The pump had died mid way during the storm. I had enough, and called Christian the next day. I wanted a local guy, not someone from Jersey or Long Island. It was the smartest thing I could have done. Christian explained exactly what he was going to do and why. His crew was friendly and they were in and out of our house in 2 1/2 days. The basement is now bone dry and no longer smells. We could not be happier and wish we did this sooner. Use Sundahl Waterproofing!

    I called Christian in order to schedule a time for him to stop by my house to assess and provide an estimate for repairing a leak that we had in our basement. Instead of the three-minute call that I expected, Christian did a 90-min video call with me - for no charge! - guiding me step-by-step through opening my wall and assessing the source of the leak myself. Ultimately, we discovered the source of the leak, which required the services of a plumber instead of a foundation repair specialist. That call saved me hundreds of dollars in assessment fees, allowed me to connect with the right service provider from the get go while Christian insisted on receiving no compensation in return. Since Christian was not needed to repair our leak I cannot attest to the quality of his work. But I can certainly vouch for his professionalism, generosity, expertise, and kindness and have no doubt that his workmanship matches up. He will certainly be my first call if we are ever in a similar situation. In the meantime, I am so grateful to know that there are service providers like Christian out there.

    We were having persistent flooding in our basement with every storm, and it was clear we needed a drainage system. We talked to a number of different companies and have absolutely no regrets about choosing Sundahl. They were a pleasure to work with, upfront and straightforward. They didn’t try to scare us in to purchasing more than what we need, nor did they use marketing ploys like the other companies did (ie pressuring us with a specific time line or telling us they would give us a “ preferred customer discount” if we signed a contract the day of the assessment). I am a cautious person and had a lot of questions that I wanted answers before we signed a contract and the owner of the company took about an hour out of his day to speak on the phone and go through all of my concerns. When they came to do the work they were respectful of our space, aand very clean. We had no dust in our house at all. Onvusly the most important part is the results, and 3 months (and a number of heavy storms) later we haven’t had a drop of water in our basement. I am so happy we chose them and I would recommend them to anyone. I promise I don’t work for the company lol, but it shouldn’t be a question - go with Sundahl

He and his guys come in do their thing and now the floors are bone dry.Just to give you an idea of how much water would have been wrecking havoc, the 2 monitored pumps he installed each pumped out more than 2800 gallons in a single day.I can not stress enough how grateful we are for the work he and his team did.     I cannot recommend Sundahl Waterproofing highly enough. For the following reasons:1) They took me on as a client, even when they were overwhelmed with other customers.2) Their assessor was onsite for an hour and was thoroughly professional. He provided detailed descriptions of the problems, underlying causes and best solutions to fix the problem once and for all. It was by far the best assessment I received.3) I was able to get the job scheduled in a timely manner. Lead time was about three weeks. Which was before most other companies could do an ASSESSMENT, let alone schedule. Their lead times would have added an additional 6-8 weeks to the process.4) Pictures and contact info for Sundahl representatives were provided. They included the owner, sales rep and project manager.5) MOST IMPORTANTLY, THE JOB WAS COMPLETED EFFICIENTLY AND PROFESSIONALLY IN THE PROMISED TIME FRAME.6) I dealt primarily with Christian Sundahl, the owner. He kept me posted on all aspects of the job (including pictures) as we went along and did his best to be as competitive as possible in his quote.7) Sundahl provides a lifetime warranty for as long as I own the house. It even extends to new owners, should I sell.These factors, most notably Sundahls performance, helped me feel confident I made the right choice. You can rely on these guys too.
