    MetzlerWe were initially drawn to Metzler Home Builders because they were a Lancaster-based business that was family run for four generations. Very impressive. We interviewed a couple other builders, but we knew we had the right builder when we met with Jordan. The fact that we could truly customize our home within a reasonable budget and not have to settle for just making changes to an already existingdesign, was a big draw for us.Building a house from scratch was both scary and exciting at the sametime, but Jordan, Janet, and Barry were extremely helpful, flexible, and patient throughout the process.That is saying a lot because there were plenty of changes along the way. And as to be expected, we ran into some setbacks, mostly dealing with township requirements. But with each issue/setback, the team worked with us to come up with solutions. Even after the home was built, if we ran into a snag here or there, Metzler was there to help us and stand by their work.We absolutely love our house and are truly grateful for all the excellent craftsman that Metzler provided. Our home is located outside their typical service area, so some of the workers came a good distance to work on our house and we really appreciated it. The foundation is solid. The woodwork is excellent. Every day, I smile at some point because I love my house. Thank you!

    We recently built a fully custom home with Metzler Home Builders and had an incredible experience. Kent and Jordan heard our vision and brought our dream design to life. Janet and Megan provided thoughtful and insightful advice as we made our color and style selections.     Tim was amazing in assisting my husband and I with knowing what we wanted to change in our house and what was the best for the house.Mike was very professional, he kept my husband and I up to date with the progress of the total house remodel. He was very receptive to questions.All outside contractors were prompt, and respectful to ourselves and our home.Metzler Home Builders started when they said they would and completed the work when they said they would. Very pleased with the workmanship and the courtesy they extended to myself and my husband.We remained in the house whilst the total house remodel was completed and were very respectful that we remained in the home.I could not have made a better choice in choosing Metzler Home Builders as the company that did the amazing transformation of our home.     When we were ready to build our forever home, Metzler’s was recommended to us by several people as the best custom home builder in the area and we’re so happy we followed their advice! Our experience with everyone on the Metzler team was great. From initial planning and design with Jordan, Janet, Megan, and Kent, to the actual build with Barry, Mike, and Skip and all of their subcontractors, we were impressed and pleased with their responsiveness, attention to detail, and clear desire to build a quality custom home that we would be happy with. Jordan’s expert guidance and supervision of navigating township and stormwater management requirements was phenomenal. Barry’s management of the schedule from start to finish was remarkable. Communication (and there was a lot of it!) was terrific and changes we requested along the way were handled with ease. We’re thrilled with the end result and whenever we’re asked who we used as a builder, we’re proud to say that our beautiful home was built by Metzler’s!

    In 1983 my parents built our family home. I grew up in the house, and it was a cornerstone of family, friends and fun. Fast forward nearly 40 years and my wife and I bought the house from my mom, bringing our children to my childhood home. In doing so, we needed to make the home our own. To make this happen, we made the very wise decision to enlist Metzler Home Builders. Working with Metzler’s was amazing. All the staff are professional, personable, and genuine people. They listened to my wife and I’s ideas, and turned those ideas into reality. Their project management and communication made us feel at ease taking on such an important and significant home renovation and addition project. Their staff and subcontractors are all pro, and expertly navigated all phases of our project, competing a beautiful and fully functional finished product. Metzler’s was a great local family business to work with, and my family couldn’t be happier with our newly renovated home.

    We are very excited to be breaking ground on our new home, to be built by Metzler Home Builders starting in February 2018. The months leading up to this point have been nothing short of exceptional. After meeting with several builders, my wife and I were referred to Metzler from both a neighbor and another family. After our first meeting with them, we knew we had found our builder. Jordan Metzler has been our main point of contact to this point, and has been terrific. Taking a sketch that we drew, Jordan transformed it into our dream home. They have managed to customize a home to our desire, while staying within a budget that works for us. Metzler Home Builders has provided a clear and concise explanation of the process, communicates extremely well, and provided fair and reasonable pricing.     When my wife and I decided to build, it was an easy choice to proceed with Metzler Home Builders based on their reputation. We dealt with Jordan from day one and he guided us in every direction necessary to achieve what we wanted in our home. His input and experience really helped us design and build a house we could never imagine. He was quick to respond whenever we had questions or uncertainties till the end. When it came time to tying interior selections together, Janet was beyond helpful. Her experience and attention to detail made coordinating everything we wanted a less stressful experience. As construction progressed, we became very involved with Barry who addressed every need of ours. Any last minute changes he was on top of, and kept us informed every step of the way.     I highly recommend Metzler Home Builders for any type of home remodel. We recently completed a kitchen renovation which included turning our garage into living space, removing the wall between our house and the garage, and adding a powder room. Tim spent a great deal of time with us designing and planning every detail, he was patient, knowledgeable and very thorough. I really appreciated his communication and timely responses. Skip, Jake and Barry were very pleasant to work with and I felt very comfortable opening up my home to them. My husband and I are extremely happy with result and I have no regrets choosing Metzler. When it comes to your home, taking on such a large project and financial investment can be very stressful....but I can honestly say that I developed a trust in them and I always felt that their number one priority was to be sure we were completely satisfied, and we are!

    Metzler Home Builders recently finished building a detached garage on our property. We cannot be happier with the end result. Tim and Mike were so good to work with and we trusted their opinions because they have so much experience. The subcontractors also did a great job. They were very professional and always left the sight clean after their job was done. Our home was built by Metzlers back in the 80s so we have long term and short term experience with this business. Based on our personal experience and that of friends of ours, I highly recommend using Metzler Home Builders.

    We recently completed a custom home build with Metzler as our GC. This was a unique project in that our home is a modern one in an area where traditional homes are the norm. Throughout the process, Metzlers team worked with us during each step to be a yes to our requests, even if they were new/different/not the norm in their scope of work. We used some new/different materials and methods and it was never met with frustration or resistance; instead, these tasks were viewed as fun challenges that we could accomplish together. We were treated with kindness, respect, and as part of their team instead of just sitting on the sidelines. Our views were always accounted for and thoroughly considered. This was important to me as a female who was the main contact/manager for our family in this project. Each member of their team, down to their subcontractors, is professional, responsive, detail-oriented, and up to any challenge. As with any construction project, there are always bumps in the road, but this was never due to personnel or quality issues, but rather timing/supply issues mostly due to the state of the construction industry at the moment. Any item that needed to be addressed after we moved in was handled promptly and as if it was important to Metzler, as well as to us. Our finished home is beautiful, different, and totally customized to what we requested, and we didnt have to break the bank to accomplish this. Metzler builds truly custom homes for clients instead of offering a cookie-cutter approach and expecting the client to fit that mold. We thoroughly enjoyed the process of working with this team and are proud of what we created together with them at the helm. I would highly recommend Metzler for any custom remodeling or new construction project in which a true partner focused on quality is important. We had interviewed several builders over several years as we attempted this project, and Metzler was the only one we connected with who made us feel as if our project was wanted, valuable and totally doable.

    We recently purchased a vacant lot in Bird in Hand, PA. After seeing what many builders were offering, we chose Metzler Home Builders. Building a home in PA wasn’t going to be easy for us since we were still living in Massachusetts (MA). However, we were constantly updated on the progress of the home by Janet and Dan Metzler. Questions were answered immediately by either a phone call or email. We made a few trips from MA to choose all the interior and exterior colors and options. Choosing all the flooring, appliances and lighting options could have been overwhelming but even this was made easy with the help of Janet Metzler.We were also allowed to alter the basic design of the home to better meet our preferences with no arguments.We can’t say enough about the quality of our new home and the wonderful people of Metzler Home Builders.

    Living in a different state, we were lost when it came time to build a new home on our lot in Lancaster County, PA. A local realtor highly recommended Metzler Home Builders, noting their outstanding reputation. We elected to meet with Dan Metzler first, and then check out some other builders. After meeting with Dan, we had a very positive feeling, and felt no need to meet with other builders. He worked with us to design the house, and we were able to make some changes even while the house was being built. All subcontractors we happened to meet were conscientious and clearly cared about their work. The quality of all the work is nothing less than top-notch. Our neighbors, who were able to observe the home being built on a daily basis, told us how impressed they were with what they saw. There were no breaks in the building process, and questions were answered promptly. Now in the home a year and a half, any minor concerns since moving in have been addressed by one of their staff without delay. Metzler Home Builders has earned my admiration. I would give them a five star rating!

    This review is overdue, but benefits from us having lived in our home built by Metzler Home Builders for six months now. We initially had some difficulty finding a custom builder who would take on an ~2,000 sq ft home (ended up at 2,100), but Metzler was very willing to work with us.Every step of the process was actually enjoyable! They were receptive to design/desires and provided constructive feedback. Every third-party vendor we worked with, such as bath fixtures, flooring, lighting, etc., were also professional and easy to work with. All of the products through these vendors have proven to be of quality, as we haven’t had any problems. Metzler uses the same sub-contractors for each of their builds and it shows in the craftsmanship that they chose professionals.We love our home and it turned out more beautiful than we imagined. You would not be disappointed in choosing Metzler for your custom home build.

    Weve never used a builder before.Ive always done everything myself but our remodel plans were beyond my capabilities so we met with six different builders. Jordan was the only one that asked the questions that made sense to us to give us a quote.They gave us a schedule of what and when things would be happening AND STUCK TO IT !Mike Trout was our project manger.He is INCREDIBLE and spot on with everything he said and did.His communication etc cant be beat!At the end of everyday everything was swept and cleaned up.As for the punch list at the end, there was none. Everything was perfect!Well miss seeing Mike everyday!If you are looking for a builder Metzgers is the one!     I cannot say enough about Metzler Home Builders Inc. They truly work with you from start to finish and every way in between, and they back their work with a 1 year full warranty. You also know they will be around well after you take ownership as they are a forth generation family owned company. Jordan, leads you in the begin to help with all of the planning of design and land requirements. He works hard and connects well with all of the surround township planning and inspection people to ensure he has capture everything he and you will need to build you a dream home. His mom Janet, takes over once in contract and helps guide you through all of the selection of everything from doors and windows, Siding and stone selection, color choices and all of the so called little things that add up to a lot to think about like door knobs, front door style, stamp concert walkways, and so much more. She really know her stuff and is extremely helpful. Then once the site work starts Barry, your Forman for managing all the trades will keep you posted and on schedule He will raise any questions he needs to or answer any questions you have. He keeps the teams moving to stay on schedule. Skip, who is their finish carpenter is a pure craftsman at what he does. He builds custom built-ins, fireplace mantles, and crown molding work that is just stunning. I cannot say enough about having Metzler Home Builders build our custom dream home. They are more to us now then just our builder, they are family as that is how they treated us through the five month 5+ month process and beyond. You will not regret using Metzler Home Builders to build your home or just a addition or remodel.

    During the June 2016 Parade of Homes, we had the fortune of meeting Dan, Janet, and Jordan Metzler from Metzler Home Builders. At that time we were not looking to build a home, in fact we initially thought the process of building a home would be cost prohibitive and complicated. But after talking with the Metzler team we quickly discovered what an amazing experience building a home could be! And it was the Metzler Team that made it possible!!Our journey started with Dan during the Parade of Homes providing us an overview of the process, including the necessary information about what is involved with building a new home. This was followed by Jordan creating the plans for our home. We were amazed at the level of attention we were provided as customers and the level of detail that went into planning. From a standard duplex plan, Jordan created a home unique to our needs. We expanded the size of the home. Also we added a number of unique details such as an open railing to the basement, rounded corners on the drywall, and unique styling that maximizes angles so that our home does not look like a “box”. After sharing our story with friends who worked with other builders, they were envious of the level of customization we were able to do!Next Janet worked with us regarding the selection of carpeting, flooring, paint, light fixtures, cabinets, countertops, faucets, etc. Very quickly this could have become an overwhelming process – but Janet was right there with us as a guide. In the end all of the pieces came together to form a home unique to our style!!When it came to the actual construction of the home, Barry Yoder served as our project manager. As this was the first time we built a home, I am sure we had a number of those “dumb” questions – but Barry always had a smile in answering our questions. In fact there were a few items that we did not think of during the planning process and Barry helped in working with the team of contractors in making slight adjustments. The result is a home that is well built – utilizing the best materials and contractors!Overall if we had one word to summarize our experience – it is “family.” Metzler Home Builders is a family business and this philosophy carries through to how they treat their customers! We cannot say enough about how thrilled we are with our home and the entire experience!!!! Even our realtor, who has been in the business for 30+ years, was so impressed with Metzler Home Builders! So if you are considering having Metzler build your home – do it!!! It will be one of the best decisions you could make!
