    John & Co. did a fantastic job working with me to design and buildout a new office space for my work and gaming activities. I cant say enough of the level of craftsmanship and sincere desire to do what is best for the project. The attention to detail and dedication to doing it right the frist time was a sheer pleasure to experiece. I would highly recommend John and his attitude toward quality work for any home improvement / renovation projects.

We had the pleasure of working with them for our deck and the deck is amazing.     Duramen Builds has been an absolute privilege. Weve used them for several projects, including installing our tile backsplash. Not only did they do an amazing job on the tiles, but during the consultation, they led us to the right type of tile and looked for the backsplash when we needed help. From the initial consultation through installation and cleanup, the team was by our side. Professionalism and craftsmanship are two words that perfectly describe Duramen Builds.     John at Duramen Builds is working on remodeling my small condominium here in Kingston and is doing an amazing job. From a new fireplace, kitchen, a living room custom cabinet and mantel to new indoor window frames, the quality is beyond what I expected.He and his whole team are great to work with, and very professional. There were several local trades involved in the overall project. John made sure the work was coordinated so that there were no delays. Work has kept flowing so that each phase has been completed in the timeframe he stated in our discussions.     We recently had Duramen add a kitchen to our daylight basement. The basement apartment did not have an existing kitchen, so the project included installation of the electrical and plumbing required to support the kitchen. During the design process, John listened carefully to our needs and ideas, gave us quotes for several options to choose from, and helped us through the process of balancing our needs with our budget. He did a great job of recruiting skilled craftsmen to address each step of the process and coordinating their efforts so that there was very little downtime throughout the project. He kept us well informed daily of the progress being made and what to expect during the next step. His original estimate of the expense and time frame was reasonable, but the actual job was finished almost two weeks ahead of schedule and under budget! We are very pleased with the results! We appreciated Johns diligence, honesty, and attention to detail. We will definitely be using this company again on our future projects and highly recommend it to others.

    John replaced my exterior door and did an amazing job! It was a custom door and I had trouble finding a contractor who would take the project. John had no problem and tackled the challenge. My old door was falling apart and warped, he replaced it with a new fiberglass one. He took the old door that was rounded at the top and installed a rectangular door. He redid the frame and made sure it is insulated. He listened to all my concerns and I am very happy with the finished project. It’s a beautiful update. He is knowledgeable, friendly and clean. I would 💯 recommend him to everyone and also hire him again.

    John was awesome to work with on our deck/stair project. His response was timely and he worked with us to develop a clear plan as we are new homeowners and were unsure about alot of things. We were so happy with the excellent work that was done with our stairs. He also went out of his way to identify additional issues such as a termite damaged post that needed to be replaced.     3 years ago i hired John Heuerman to build a wood fence across the back of my property...nearly 300 feet. It was a difficult job, with huge tree roots, blackberries, an old barbed wire fence and other obstacles. He cleared as necessary ane very creatively built around permanent objects. A beautiful fence! This winter i had a lot of storm damage...a huge limb crushed a section of the fence, two holes punched through my deck, a facia board and metal roof section mangled on my garage. Even though i dont live in the area of Johns business, Duramen Builds, i called to see if he could help me. He takes a lot of pride in his work, which is always excellent, and agreed to come to repair his fence. He restored it good as new! While here he also replaced the broken deck boards, and replaced the facia board on the garage (and saved me a lot of $ by straightening the bent metal roof piece!). John asked if i needed help with anything else while he was here...then proceeded to repair rotting trim around a garage door, sanded and stained some window sills and a skylight for me. I was impressed by how quickly he could assess a problem and determine the best way to fix it. He worked fast and was very honest in all our dealings. He communicated throughout the jobs so i was never caught off guard with added expense. Besides doing excellent work i found his integrity and pride in doing a job well were exceptional...and rare. Any future major repairs or remodeling i need, my first call will be to Duramen Builds. I highly recommend John. Give him a call, youll be glad you did!

    John did an excellent job on the floors in our laundry room! He was so helpful and easy to work with. He viewed the project in-person and provided recommendations for flooring product to purchase. He leveled the concrete, cleaned the floor, installed our vinyl laminate planks beautifully (including many nooks and odd shapes to cut around), and trimmed out the space. We are so happy with our experience with John, and how well the project turned out! We highly recommend him, and will hire him again for any future projects!

    They were on time and did such a great job. They were considerate and respectful. The tiling looks so much better than we expected. The silver edging was so helpful. The dry wall finishing was so well done and efficiently done. Before the removed stuff they asked if we wanted it done since we wanted to paint it ourselves.

    We have worked with John owner of Duramen Builds over the past years on several residential remodel projects and he is a delight to work with. He is a hard worker and his projects are tidy and thoughtfully completed. We have worked with him on a variety of budgets and customer goals and he is always considerate of the home owners money and time.     I hired Duramen Builds to repair a rotten post on my front covered porch.I do not normally leave a review but I can truly say without hesitation that the entire experience with Duramen Builds was ALL POSITIVE and have exceeded my expectations.I do not have anything negative to say about the business.     We had some major excavation done around the base of the house in early fall 2023 (NOT done by Duraman Builds) where they had to tear out the front porch but they never intended on replacing it. I was unable to use my front door for nearly 4 months. We found Duramen builds and in a couple weeks had not only front door access but also a beautiful small deck. The quality and the craftsmanship is second to none. The care, pride and details that go into their jobs shows. The best part is he doesnt just start a job and then have some subcontractors show up to do it. John has been so amazing to work with that now we have him remodeling the entire lower leve of the house. Highly recommend Duramen Builds for your home remodeling needs.

    I consulted with John on a bathroom remodel for my home. He provided me a detailed estimate and discussed the process, timeline, and choice of materials. He was very communicative and helped me feel informed. While I wasnt able to afford the job at this time, I now have all the information to plan for this remodel in the future and will definitely be contacting Duramen Builds when Im ready. John charges a $500 consultation fee that goes towards your job costs once booking with him and I felt this was more than fair for his time and expertise put into planning my job and estimate with me.

    We hired Duramen to remodel our beach cabin after it was flooded during a king tide. In addition to remediating the water damage we ended up totally redoing the kitchen and bathroom and it all turned out better than I could have imagined. The house looks amazing and John was great to work with. He kept us informed throughout the process and had great suggestions for getting the outcome we wanted done in a cost-efficient way. We would use Duramen again in a heartbeat!

    We are so happy with the work John from Duramen did for us! He set in cabinets we got from Ikea to make them look like built ins and built us a custom storage bench to match. I was worried about the trim looking top notch but he did a really good job with attention to detail.John showed up right on time both days, worked consistently the whole time, and cleaned up afterwards. He was professional, friendly, and communicative. Other contractors we had reached out to had been booked out for months so feel super lucky that he was able to fit us in quickly.Were still waiting on the crown moulding to arrive, the last bits of caulking and paint, but I want to share our pictures! Isnt it pretty? Thanks John! Were definitely going to reach out to Duramen Builds in the future.

    John met with us to find out what we needed and provided an estimate bid. Then he installed new vinyl plank flooring in our kitchen, laundry room and 1 bathroom. He repaired areas where mold was found in the wall (taking out drywall and installing new). He also did a custom repair for the area above our refrigerator. John has very pleasant personality, easy to ask questions and receive answers. He left the areas clean and made sure our needs were met.
