Prior to working with Patty and Diane, I had worked with 4-5 contractors on various remodel jobs in Key West and Vero Beach. We hired Patty and Diane last year for the remodel of our ancestral, conch home. The house needed major structural assistance and a redesign on the upper floors. We also took the opportunity to add bathrooms and air conditioning, something the house had been lacking since the early 1900s. Patty and Diane were fantastic. Patty is by far the best contractor I have ever worked with. She was so organized and thoughtful throughout the entire process. Most importantly, Patty and her crew treated the house as if it was their own family home. Anyone involved in the remodel of an old house knows that not everything goes as planned, Patty, however, anticipated every move so that if there were any surprises, they were readily met.She was so patient and understanding of the many questions and requests we made. We added an upper deck and replaced windows and doors with hurricane rated. Working with Check Construction was the only Good experience I have ever had working with a General Contractor! Patty was on the job site every day verifying the work was being done properly and to my satisfaction. Patty was professional and always available for questions or concerns. I was very happy with the quality of work and will not hesitate to hire her again.

We have worked with Patricia and Diane on several projects now, and they are a great GC to work with. They follow the design documents, are meticulous in their service, and are really good at keeping to their project schedules. Because of our experience with them so far, we would recommend them for both commercial and residential projects.

Patty and Diane built our custom home during the COVID pandemic. They took on and dealt with the vast majority of the stressful effects involving material, labor shortages and other related challenges without even involving us. We are very happy with the high quality construction and the minimization of delays, etc. that we rightfully should have experienced during this time is a testament to their work ethic and attention to detail.

My wife, Sharyn & I are pleased to announce the Grand Reopening of our Haagen-Dazs Shoppe at 625 Duval St., Key West.We were closed for an amazingly short 6 weeks and we owe that quick turn-around to our General Contractor, Patty Neyra of Check Construction, & her great group of Subs! Our renovation consisted of demoing down to the cinder block & to have our project completed within that time frame is unheard of in Key West.We’re so excited to have the look of our Shoppe complement the rest of our city block and add to the esthetic atmosphere of Key West!Thank you Patty!
