    We chose MasterDecks for our deck project and couldnt be happier with the decision! The final deck turned out fantastic, showcasing top-notch quality. Impressively, the build was completed ahead of schedule. Kyle and his team, Erik and Spencer, were a pleasure to work with—friendly and professional. If the other project teams are even half as good, it would still be a 5-star experience. Everyone we interacted with was professional and communicated effectively. From design and planning to scheduling, Jet and Tony made the process smooth and enjoyable. We would definitely choose MasterDecks again for any future home projects.

    There are only two companies in the western Washington area that we felt comfortable building a deck for our house. We wanted a beautiful deck that would not compromise the ability of our house to resist the weather (it’s western Washington). I am glad we choose MasterDecks. They really came through with their lineup of integrated products (deck, railing, rain proofing system). This is not a one person company, it is a legitimate organization of coordinated activity. Ryan was our project manager and he ensured all financial and logistical aspects were effortless for us, we just sat back and watched it be built. Mario was our foreman. He was amazing to work with and my kids liked calling him Super Mario. He seamlessly coordinated the details of the deck build, was very accessible and never dismissed my concerns, rather he used his extensive experience building decks to present solutions to any adjustments we asked for. MasterDecks’ master carpenter named Kyle and his assistant (Heath) built most of the structure and they were very precise and professional. They too answered any questions I had along the way with a smile. I highly recommend MasterDecks for the high quality craftsmanship, peace of mind and value this added to our home.

    We hired MasterDecks LLC to design and build a custom deck for our house and pool / swim spa. The team did a fantastic job of project management, keeping on top of things, communication and transparency during the whole project.Everyone we worked with was 120% professional, empathetic and worked until that part of the job was done. We were additionally impressed about how they implemented BuilderTrend and had daily log entries with photos and design changes put in place there.There were several people we worked with really closely who made the experience over the top such: Scott, Jordan, Tony, Jesse and a lot of others - a sincere thank you to everyone. They really listened to how we wanted the deck and kitchen designed and accommodated all the changes we wanted.Its safe to say we found the best company we could have to make our deck a reality.

    Very satisfied with design, quality, and look of deck with stairs and railing. Installation crew didnt rush or take any short cuts and did precision work. Deck flooring is Trex. I got to talk with a few of the crew but Josh and Edwin I believe were very helpful and did fantastic work. The Pavers under the deck also looks amazing! Highly recommend Master Decks. A little pricey but you are paying for quality! Very helpful staff and put me at ease whenever I had any questions or concerns. Hopefully won’t ever need a new deck but if I do, I’d gladly go with them again.

    We had a deck designed and built by Master Decks. The entire process was extremely smooth and easy from start to finish. The team was great to work with, communication was transparent and always up to date. They whole team was extremely professional the entire time. It turned out amazing and beautiful. We love our new deck and have been sitting outside most evenings just enjoying it.     Would wholeheartedly recommend MasterDecks for 3 reasons:1) Professional and responsive from start to finish. From the bidding process through the entire project, MasterDecks were total pros. They instilled trust through straightforward communication plus always responsive whenever I reached out2) High quality. The materials they used, the crew who did the work, and the project manager were all great and the result is a beautiful deck. They checked and re-checked their work and made adjustments and corrections to ensure our deck was perfect.3) Timely and on budget.     The team at Masterdecks LLC including Heath Curten, Christian Rosas, Tyson Mayr, Chris, Hunter, Ryan, Jessie Sims and Kyle Bannister did a fantastic job building our new deck. The deck was completed in 2-3 weeks (from permit approval) which was much quicker than we expected. We received daily progress reports including pictures. Masterdecks called or FaceTimed us from the jobsite the couple of times when immediate decisions were required. We would not hesitate to use this company again.

    We had the front porch rebuilt and a new deck installed in the backyard. Rod Walls was the project lead he did a great job. He was very informative about what was going on. He ask about how i wanted things designedHe built the privacy screen in the backyard after showing him a picture i found. It came out looking great. When i noticed a small gap in the front porch decking he happily fixed it. Very happy with the job Masterdecks did.

    We needed our old wood front deck replaced. We chose Masterdeck and it was a great experience. Quality build completed on schedule. The deck and railing are really absolutely AWESOME!!! The colors and material are great!Ryan was our over-all coordinator and great at keeping us informed on our project, including scheduling, invoices and required changes. He was always our first point of contact for questions and very quick to respond. He was a really helpful person to work with.Mario was our field manager. He handled pre- and post-construction walk-throughs, including working with us on installation details and where all the materials would be staged. He was very clear on directions for us and for the deck builder. He was fabulous!Brett constructed our deck and stair railing. Because this was a small project, Masterdeck used a trusted partner, who was Brett for our project. We were so lucky! He’s truly a master craftsman. His attention to detail and construction was fabulous! So many finishing touches that really make this deck perfect (example: finished corners so there no deck ends showing). Never any chaos, no rework and he answered all our questions. We really appreciated him and his skills so much. Having Brett do the work gave us confidence that we now have a high quality and beautiful deck that we can enjoy for years. He made this whole experience for us far less stressful. It was such a great experience watching this deck be created. He was truly a gem!!!

    I used masterdecks to replace a rotten second floor balcony on my Seattle townhouse. Masterdecks used a high quality TimberTech composite decking material and an aluminum railing that look great and will stand up to the PNW elements.The first phase of my project involved consulting with Danny on a variety of options, considering things like the size of my balcony, types of materials, aesthetics, and cost. Danny called out details that I wouldnt have otherwise considered, including how I would plan to use the balcony and the space around it.Once we landed on a design, the permitting process was surprisingly fast and painless. Once permitting was done, Kyle prepared us for the construction process right away, again pointing out small details we wouldnt have considered, like how to work around existing elements of our house such as electrical and drainage.Peter completed the bulk of our project and was by far the best contractor I have ever worked with. This is the first time I can truly say a contractor treated my home with the care and precision as if it were his own.As with any construction project, once we got started, we needed to make a few changes and masterdecks was very accommodating, even replacing a couple pieces of nearby siding and trim that were also rotten.Best of all, masterdecks uses an online portal for all communication and daily progress updates. Everything is transparent and in writing. Communication can be a frustrating part of construction projects, but with masterdecks this was never a concern.Masterdecks was not the cheapest option, but you get what you pay for. And in this case, I would hire them again in a heartbeat.

    We are so pleased to have hired MasterDecks to rebuild our 30 year old second story deck over the kitchen. Kyle Bannister and his team did a fantastic job from demolition, rebuilding and waterproofing deck, rail and gutters. And Kyles recommendations were right on: installing facial railing mounts/gutter instead of surface mounts; special flashing for transition from roof to deck; providing flexibility in allowing no cost scheduling adjustments to meet our work/family activities.Special mention goes out to: Erick Spicer and Spencer Puckett hard work in remediating the complex wood rot areas; Cristian Rosas, mighty fine work on installing the railing with the special triangular magnetic gate for access to the adjacent roof; and we thank goodness for Jet Garcia scheduling, payments, and responding to our many questions.Bottom line: MasterDecks craftsmanship” built us a beautiful deck that exceed our expectations!

    How many times is it possible to use words like meticulous and craftsmanship when you describe building a deck? Our experience was outstanding in every regard. From the planning and choice of materials to the actual construction, these folks took excellent care of us.We were particularly impressed with their daily contact and communication. There was even a daily written report with pictures, even though we could just look out our window to view the progress.The build crew did not hesitate to ask us questions and offer suggestions.     I recently completed a deck replacement and hot tub installation with MasterDecks. I am very pleased with the final product, and the staff and crew could not have been better to work with. Camden kicked off the project well and helped me pick out the proper products. Kyle and Jet communicated with me very well throughout the project, and the quality and craftsmanship of the guys working on site was impressive.     I called PCF CONSTRUCTION/MASTERDECKS the summer 2023, with the intention of removing 7 steps from my sunroom that were deteriorating and building back new steps, and hoping this company would take on this small job.The company setup a consultation with Clayton Brumbaugh, who was a Project Consultant at that time, to come to my home and see what I wanted done. After talking and discussing my project, I knew this was the right company for the job.However, my project could not start right away, due to their active summer schedule and my upcoming knee replacement surgery. Also my recovery and rehabilitation took months before I was able to walk.I was given two Project Managers; Ryan Quinn and Mario Poposki; with Ryan as my primary person. After finally settling on a start date, the work began. I was introduced to Kyle, who would be demolishing my old steps and building the new steps.Every morning Kyle came and put in a full days work and every evening he cleaned up the area. The steps turned out beautiful, and I complimented him on his work. However, he had built 6 steps instead of the 7, which at that time, didn’t matter.It wasn’t until a few days later, when I realized there was a bit of a problem. After Kyle had removed the tarp which was protecting my bluestone pavers; I saw my original aggregate stone flooring that my old steps covered when they were built. So I really needed the 7 steps built to hide the patch of exposed aggregate. After discussing this with Ryan and sending him photos of the aggregate flooring, he suggested I could have the steps totally made over. And even though the new steps looked lovely, I was so grateful he offered to have them redone with the 7 steps. It was also important to have the 7th step, as I was having lights put into 3 of the steps risers. And without that additional step, it threw-off the design of the lights.The demolition of the new steps and the building of the second set of steps were done by Tyson. And they too, came out exceptional. Also, Tyson kept everything cleaned up and worked long hours and got the job done a little quicker than Kyle. But both guys have great craftsmanship and it showed.I also want to mention about the lights in the steps risers. The original lights were incandescent, which one bulb was already burned out. I asked if they could be replaced with LED lights, which Ryan researched, and made that happen. In addition to the new steps with lights, I also wanted to add lights on the steps risers leading up to my garage rooftop deck. I needed 2 sets of lights on 2 steps, which Kyle added. However, the company that supplied PCF with the lights, gave them 2 bright white bulbs and 2 soft light bulbs. Both Ryan and Mario were able to bring about the exchange of bright white to soft white bulbs.Also, one of my end caps I had on a post of my garage roof deck was broken, and as a courtesy, Kyle researched the cap’s design and got it for me. And when Mario came to reinstall the soft light bulbs, he also glued on the end cap.In the end, my experience with PCF has been completely positive, from the initial phone contact through to the completion. They exceeded all my expectations with fine craftsmanship, easy communication thru their personal email or by phone, quick response time with clear understanding of details and follow-ups, and very pleasant employees. I highly recommend PCF (PEOPLE COME FIRST). They truly live up to their catchphrase.

    I am SO happy with my new deck from Masterdecks! I had a very large wooden deck that became impossible to maintain, so I went with TimberTech this time. Its absolutely beautiful. The entire process went so smoothly and I really appreciate their financing options. Huge shout out to Seth, who pretty much did the entire job single handedly. Amazing! He is professional, very friendly, a super hard worker, and has impeccable craftsmanship and carpentry skills. The jobsite was neat and clean every evening before he left.     We’re so happy with our deck! The Masterdecks team was transparent, personable, and accessible throughout the process. Ryan, Mario, and Peter (who was onsight throughout and made friends with our dogs), were great to work with. Their quote was on the more expensive side of the companies we worked with (though not out of range of what we expected), but frankly you get a lot of peace of mind for the cost. We ran into some unexpected issues with our project, and MasterDecks were really helpful and clear about our options without pressuring us. The dogs approve too.

    MasterDecks two most experienced people, Kyle Bannister and Zolen Boogaerts, replaced our 12-foot by 17-foot deck with one of TimberTech AZEKs best decks in accordance with TimberTechs printed instructions. They took two days: Friday June 23, 2023, and the following Monday. Their work was excellent, and I am very glad to have had them and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

    From start to finish, we appreciated every step of the project with MasterDecks. We received a very quick response to our online inquiry, and it was an actual phone call from a person! I, for one, really appreciated this and were were scheduled for an in-person consultation appointment without having to wait months and months. At our meeting, our design was discussed, measurements were taken quickly, and all our questions were answered. Then we had a zoom meeting to go over the scope of work and the process and timeline were explained clearly for us. MasterDecks continued to communicate with us at every step of the project and were even able to move us up on their calendar so that they were done before the winter messy weather arrived! The construction team was phenomenal! They were so respectful of us and our property and their workmanship was impeccable, plus they were incredibly fast.     My deck had gotten to the point where I was putting construction cones out so people wouldnt step through holes or step on nails, so it was time for a full replacement. Out of the all the bids I got, Masterdecks was priced right about center. But in terms of professionalism and responsiveness, they were above and beyond all the others. They walked me through the design step by step and took care of everything. When the build began, it went very smooth, and the build quality is absolutely beyond reproach. If an earthquake knocks down my house, Im sure the deck will still be standing.The lead on the job was a guy named Boris, and he had a couple other guys on the job with him, Brandon and Colin. They were all excellent and communicative.Boris would often consult with me as the build was proceding to ensure that things were going 100% perfect. His expertise in the building process was readily apparent, and his need to make sure I was a happy client really stood out.Brandon was also super friendly. Every morning when I came out to walk my dog hed say good morning to my dog and would have a little conversation with him. It was pretty adorable to watch my little 12 pound nervous rescue dog begin recognizing him and warming up to a stranger. After chatting with the dog, Brandon would then look up at me and chat with me about the plans for the day. I found myself shooting the breeze with him a little bit everyday.Colin came on towards the end of the build to help speed up the process. I didnt get a chance to talk with him too much, but he was always polite and respectful, and his work really spoke for itself. He had a big hand in the front entry build and did a phenomenal job.Overall, I would have to recommend Masterdecks because their process is just amazing. I had this team of people assisting me and could reach out to all of them any time with questions or concerns. When we had to make changes on the fly, they have a really good change order system and work through this really cool app where you can see daily comments, pictures and notes about the work in process.Long story short, make sure you get a bid from these guys while youre shopping around. Youll feel the difference immediately.

    We are very pleased with our new deck! It looks great! Ryan was easy to work with and responsive during the consultation and gave us the information we needed to shape the project. Andrew was also very communicative and accommodated my minor changes as he was doing the construction. They left the worksite clean and did a great job. They also did a great job resolving a material color issue that was not their fault so that in the end we had the color that we wanted.

    From the first meeting on our deck project until completion Masterdecks met or exceeded our expectations in all regards. They are a premier company providing an excellent experience and a high-quality build/result. Each associate was highly professional, courteous, and always put our interests and satisfaction first and foremost. Their use of the Buildertrend online project management tool is outstanding. In it all aspects of the project are tracked and updated daily. The schedule, finances, daily updates, messaging to/from everyone, and other things are easily accessed. Communication is continuous so we knew exactly what was happening at all times. Once they started the project, Masterdecks worked on it every day until it was done. In our initial meetings with Dave, he listened to what we had in mind and this resulted in detailed drawings for our approval and modification to make sure everyone knew exactly what was desired and expected. Every question was asked and answered for and by us. Masterdecks handled all the permitting and inspection tasks. Ryan then took the handoff and came out to meet with us and review everything again and initiate the actual construction process. Throughout this time as well as during the entire project Jessie kept us fully up to date via Buildertrend on the timing of all the different aspects of the building process. Tyson and his apprentice, Heath, did the actual construction. Tyson’s attention to detail and craftsmanship was stellar and he maintained a clean, organized, low impact worksite. He built us a beautiful deck that was exactly what we envisioned. When day to day decisions had to be made, he explained the choices clearly and provided not only pros and cons, but also his recommendations based on his knowledge and experience. Tyson was awesome and very enjoyable to work with. We were fortunate to have him as our lead builder. During any project issues invariably come up, including some things that did not exactly meet our expectations. Tyson’s response was always the same to any request, of course, I can make that happen. And, best of all, he did in all regards. Initially we talked with several builders and got bids, however, it was clear from the outset that Masterdecks was the most professional and instilled the most confidence and belief that the overall process would be smooth and painless for us. It was! Masterdecks is competitively priced when you factor in all the things that they actually do, but they are not the cheapest in an absolute sense. Having said that, you always get what you pay for and any premium they get is well worth it in our estimation. As you might expect, particularly in todays environment, they are very busy and there is a queue. We waited months from the time we signed the contract until our project came up on their schedule and could actually begin. Moral of that story is that you must adjust your plans and expectations accordingly if you want to engage them. We are now enjoying a wonderful deck without any regrets on any aspect of the entire project. We wholeheartedly recommend Masterdecks without any reservations. Thank you all so much!

    Overall good experience with Master Decks. I think they could improve customer communication a bit in terms of the time lag between paying a deposit and when the job is supposed to start. We weren’t a permit required job and had to call a few times to figure out what was going on. The work was quality and I recommend them for their craftsmanship.     Let me start at the top, the sales folks were very friendly and responsive, the project manager was professional, engaging and understanding. Whenever there was a decision that had to be made, he explained the options in detail, with consideration for both function and aesthetics.We had a couple tricky areas where we gave Ryan free reign to solve.     We had MaterDecks construct a large complex deck and cedar patio cover. On the whole working with MasterDecks has been an excellent experience. They are particularly good at continuous communication. We never had to wonder what was happening or when things would get done. Here are some thoughts on their service:- Design: They are capable and willing to do most anything, but you the buyer have to drive interesting design. We had hoped for a creative designer to come up with beautiful ideas. In the end we had to generate the design ourselves.- Estimation and contract: They were efficient, responsive, and comprehensive in generating a cost estimate and contract. As we went through the build there were things we wanted to add at our discretion, but never any surprises. They had covered all the bases. We paid what was expected and we got what we agreed to.- Cost: We did get bids from other contractors, but they did not bid what we asked for. We chose MasterDecks for their responsiveness and professionalism rather than a low bid. I suspect MasterDecks may be a good bit more expensive but having seen the amount of work, I think we got more than our moneys worth.- Permitting: Permitting was an almost yearlong nightmare. MasterDecks was very good at communicating what was happening and prodding the city permitting office. I cannot fault them at all.- Deck construction: The main reason I am bothering to write this review is to praise the lead of our deck construction work Boris Koslev. Boris is the guy you want for several reasons* Knowledge: Boris knows exactly how it all gets done, and that is terribly important both for efficiency and quality. His deep understanding of the whole process means he knows exactly what needs to be done next. Its a complicated dance, and knowing the steps means you can do them perfectly in rhythm.* Efficiency: I was astonished how much gets done when Boris is in charge. Everyone on site is busy accomplishing different steps simultaneously and it all comes together in a shocking hurry.* Communication: Boris is unique in his communication. He doesnt hesitate to knock on the door. He wants you to know whats happening now, whats coming next, and when it will be done. If there are options, he wants you to have a say. If there is a problem to be addressed, he pulls you in and gets the problem resolved immediately.* Problem solving: In any build you run into snags. Boris uses his own experience and contacts to make things happen and solve problems quickly* Dedication: Boris needs to work less. He feels to compelled to finish yesterday, and he doesnt care how much personal time it takes to get there.- Deck quality: I think MasterDecks may be a little expensive, but they produce execellent quality. The number of footings, the size of the support beams, the size of the floor joists were all more than required by code as was the waterproof tape on every floor joist. I cant tell you the man-hours that went into the construction, but I feel pretty confident I got more than my moneys worth.- Patio cover construction: Our patio cover is a 15 x 20 roof with stars of open cedar beams at the end gables. The lower half of the support posts are wrapped in stone and the upper half in cedar. The primary supports along the sides are massive laminate beams. The underside is finished in polished wood planking. We have lighting, bromic heaters, and electrical outlets in various places. (we also have low voltage lighting on the steps and the deck railing, BTW) The patio cover construction was a bit less efficient than the deck construction (Boris is a tough act to follow). There were a few compromises that werent perfect. Nevertheless we are very happy with the result. It is high quality and beautiful.- Subcontractor selection and management: MasterDecks uses very competent electricians and stone masons. They managed the scheduling and support of the subcontractors well and the work proceeded without a lot of work from us to keep it moving.

    The accessor came and quoted me 55k for 65 feet or so of railing and less than 100 sq ft of existing deck and stairs. He told me it would be 5k alone for drawings and permitting and that the permitting process would take about 6 to 8 months before they could start.He was a really nice personable man but I used to work in permitting. You dont need permits for anything less than 100sq ft that is an existing structure. Im sure their work is amazing but I couldnt justify 55k, more than half my yearly salary on so little work. This project would have taken 3 to 5 days max.I wasnt going to review but after not taking the survey they repeatedly emailed me, the survey company kept calling me repeatedly while at work to survey the assessment. Wow. I met their guy for 20 minutes, got a really expensive quote and then was harassed for weeks to complete a survey. Just ew.I got an assessment two days later. I got my entire yard refenced and the deck done with composit for 32k. 55k is a full semester at Harvard; its a brand new 2024 Ford Bronco... all i needed was some railing, a gate, a few new stairs, and new deck boards....After seeing this review, the sales manager called to talk me down from this review. He insisted i was wrong because he has been doing this for XX years. I told him I was working and this kind of mounting disturbances was more than half the reason I reviewed. He kept arguing no matter how many times I said it was not a good time. He insisted it was after hours, which is the exact reason I work late in my profession.He insisted I in fact needed a permit. So I took time out of my day and went to the faqs. Per mybuildingpermit.com construction tip sheet 00, if the structure is existing and you are not adding or changing any structural elements, you do not need a permit. The foundation was good. We agreed on that. Additionally, it states a deck 30 inches off grade or below inside of 36 inches from the edge of the deck needs a permit. My deck (which is actually a 4 ft wide walkway) is 30 inches over grade in the last small stretch where it meets the front door where there is drainage piping that rise above that 30 inches. The rest is less than that 30 inches. So maybe this small area next to the door would meet the criteria for needing a permit but its still an existing structure that was not being altered. The railing was temporarily removed, so sure maybe. The area under the deck is an isolated area between the house and the concrete deck. Im not even certain it counts as grade as it is surrounded on all sides by house, retainment, and concrete patio.This guy was pumped up and ready to argue when he called. I had to agree to take my review down so I could end the call. He could have just asked when it would be a good time to talk. I didnt give my information to the survey company so you responsible for how they reached out in excess of 5 times.Edit: 2 stars to 5.At the risk of frustrating me further, the owner Rob reached out to me to try to discuss my review. I really wanted to be left alone but his approach was empathetic, gental, and overall respectful. While I still feel like the fees to design and permit are crazy. He explained that I could have opted out of all that and that I was misquoted.He went a step further and did a cursory inspection of the work I did have done and helped me address things that could have come back to haunt me.At the end of the day, if we had come to a more reasonable estimate sooner, it would have saved me so much heartache to go with masterdecks rather than the cheap company whos work looks like it was completed by a couple of drunk frat boys.Lesson learned. You do get what you pay for and if you put on your big girl pants and try to negotiate a bit, you might end up with your money well invested, rather than throwing it away. I think Rob invested in making this right and youd be in good hands with masterdecks. I wish I had.

    After a frustrating few months of attempting to replace my deck myself, I reached out to Master Decks. Jeff showed up promptly for our consultation, answered all of my questions, showed examples of previous work, and gave us a lot of good ideas for our own deck. The new glass railings looked superb and both of them were careful not to make a mess as these were installed.The undercover crew wasMartin, Joshua, Nick: all done in two days, and I was really impressed with their attention to detail and willingness to get it done correctly, even going so far as to adjust one drain line twice, to my satisfaction. Guys, Im sorry my driveway was so long and was such a pain!The managersRyan, Mario, Quinn: every one provided up-to-date and timely reminders. The buildertrend software that Masterdecks uses really gives the customer a good insight into whats happening and when. It is a more professional overlay to the project than the usual system provided by many contractors in the home market (ie make it up as you go)Masterdecks did a great job. I have only two areas in which to suggest improvement:1. They should offer some sort of covering for the top of their decks that lets water through but holds pine needles (very common here!) back. Many of the needles will fall through the decking into the water drains, potentially blocking them. Although you can let down their panels beneath to clean them, realistically, I dont think many owners will until its too late2. I was surprised that they had difficulty in sourcing the panels quickly. They worked it out for me in the end, but the glass railings - which come from Canada, necessitating customs, etc. - came faster than MasterDecks proprietary undercover panels. As I say - they DID work it out for me in the end, and I got the whole project done in three months, and within 15% of the original estimate.Thanks to the professionals at Masterdecks for a job well done.

    Ryan and his team (Nikita) built a large back deck for us and we couldn’t be happier with the end result. Ryan kept us informed of his progress every day and was quick to ask for our input on design decisions while also guiding us with his expertise. His craftsmanship was impeccable, with many complicated corners and designs within the deck itself that multiple people have commented on. Ryan was always respectful of our property (even cleaned up before leaving each day!), showed up to work on time and worked into the evening right before Christmas. We were also very impressed that Ryan and Nikita took all Covid precautions, took their temperature multiple times a day and wore masks while working. When the project was complete, Ryan walked us through the build and left us with extra supplies and his phone number in case we needed anything in the future.     Absolutely could not recommend them higher.There was one hiccup on the sales end regarding my expectations vs. what ended up being on the quote but I honestly didn’t read the contract close enough so that’s on me as much as anyone else.Now to the plus side. The lead on the project, Ryan Bower (request him), was amazing. Brought a ton of stuff to my attention, asked the right questions to make sure I had thought through where I wanted everything to be and most importantly is potentially the best carpenter I’ve come across. He built a beautiful deck. I’ve worked in the industry and all I have to say is take care of him, he’s as good as they come.     We are very pleased with our new deck by Masterdeck with the undercover system. While there were glitches in knowledge of City of Seattle permitting requirements and project management, once they started the project, they were great. The team that worked on our deck, particularly Ryan B., Justin K. and Evan were reliable, knowledgeable, exacting, and took great pride in their work. They are also very customer service oriented. It’s a bit stressful to have your house and yard torn apart and rebuilt, but they made it easy, and were always there to answer any and all questions that we had. They even made it fun because they were so friendly.

    We are almost done with phase 1 of our deck project and we are so pleased with the work thus far. Ryan Bowker the lead carpenter and his partner Kirby have done an excellent job! We were among the first jobs after the full quarantine ended so there were lots of new rules. Ryan Quinn, the job foreman did a great job communicating and getting the job off to a good start. Ryan B. and Kirby took great care and pride their work and kept us in the loop with any design details along the way. One thing we especially appreciate is the daily logs with photos to show what they did each day and what the plan is for the following day(s). They were very respectful of our home and neighborhood even with the early mornings. I would highly recommend MasterDecks if you are looking for quality work! We are currently waiting for materials to come in to complete the deck and are on the schedule to start the underdeck waterproofing and electrical work in a couple of weeks.
