    I rarely post reviews but feel this one a must.I recently completed closed-foam insulation of my extensive attic space at my home in Houma, LA. There was damage from Hurricane Ida. Ira’s crew competently, efficiently and cost-effectively completed the job and even identified/repaired other storm-related issues.His crew was polite and clean. As the business owner, Ira was not a distant entity through this process; in fact, he was there more than I was at the house! Kudos to a job well done.I cannot more strongly recommend Ira and Sunlight Contractors for your blown foam insulation needs.

    There should be more stars to give!We had our brick ranch on slab lifted ten feet off the ground. The floors sweated, were cold or hot depending on the season. Walking inside sounded hollow. Forward one year Sunlight Contractors came and applied closed foam insulation.They showed up en mass and very orderly and methodically prepared the area and got right down to business. Before the crew had finished cleaning and packing up we could already notice a difference. Walking around inside sounded more solid, the air conditioning units were running less. The crew picked up leaving no trace theyd been here.Its now been installed for a month. Our electric bill is down 15% compared to last May. Our house is much more comfortable, no sweating oak wood floors. And it stays much much cooler (Thank God).Cannot think of many times the wife and I felt such a good return of investment than getting this done.     Sunlight Contractors did an amazing job with the spray insulation installation at our home in Destrehan. Their team was knowledgeable and efficient and I really appreciated their attention to detail. Today is our first full day after the foam was applied and my upstairs is cool and comfortable. Money well spent.

    After Hurricane Ida, my husband and I experienced damage far more significant than we expected. With the impending tropical storm and continuous rains after our ceiling caved in, we were looking for someone who was able to do a thorough job quickly and who was able to answer our questions as we navigated putting in our first brand new roof. In two days, they were able to remove the old roof, place the new roof, and offer security to our family during a really difficult time. Ira is incredibly responsive to the phone calls, always answering or calling back quickly and answering our many questions, taking time to walk us through the process and ensure the job is done right. I feel safe and confident knowing I can weather the rest of this hurricane season and many more to come with our new, beautiful roof!

    We have been putting off getting spray foam insulation for a while now, but with this heatwave decided to just bite the bullet and do it. Sunlight just started on our house today, and I am already impressed. The contractors are very friendly and thorough and cover EVERYTHING, which I appreciate as a home owner. Ira made sure to call me this afternoon and give me a timeline of what to expect and really made me feel confident in the work that is in the process of being performed. Tomorrow is when the actual insulation goes in as today they had to tear out my old stuff and open part of the ceiling that is inaccessible via the attic, but based on what I have seen today, I have high hopes for the rest of the process. I plan to update this review once the job is complete and after my conversation with Ira today I am so excited to see how much cooler my house will be once this is completed. I will definitely be contacting them for other house improvement needs in the future as well.Update: the insulation is complete and now my house is so comfortable! If youre putting this off, definitely do it!

    Ira at Sunlight Contractors was great. We needed insulation blown into our attic because our house was not staying cool. Ira and his team were extremely professional, gave us a quote within our budget, and performed the work beautifully! They even threw in a few extra items that they didn’t charge us for as a thank you for the business. We’re so pleased with the work they did and our house is cooler than its ever been!I 100% would recommend sunlight for anything you may need!

    I called Sunlight Contractors for a price to spray foam the crawl space under my home. they had someone out to crawl under and inspect the crawl space the next day. They measured and took pictures and checkedmoisture content of the floors and beam before giving me a price.They next day an itemized contract was sent via email.When I decided to use Sunlight Contractors to do the project, they againsent someone to crawl under the house and make sure everything wascorrect, I signed the contract and gave a deposit. Within two hours (to my surprise) they were there to remove the old fiberglass insulation. They cleaned up all the mess and bagged and hauled it all away. The nextday they were back and finished spray foaming. It sure is great doingbusiness with with someone who does exacting what they promise for a very reasonable price. Everyone I met was very professional and very niceto deal with. Thank You for a great Job.

    Excellent company to work with. The crews are very hardworking despite how hot the attic was. They cleaned up after themselves and were in contact with my wife during the whole process. Ira is the boss and he was always in contact with my wife and answered any questions she had. We are very happy with the service we received and how much better our AC units are working now.     We were having issues with our house reaching temperatures between 82-84 degrees and staying there until sometimes 11 pm. It was exhausting, miserable and unbearable. Through word of mouth, we found Ira and Sunlight Contractors. From the first day, Ira was available, accessible, informative and he didnt stop until we were satisfied. He would text us am and pm everyday to check on us, and whatever needed to be done, he had a crew out the next day to attend to it. He even went so far to put us in touch with his A/C guy to fix issues outside of his work area. Ira stood by his promises and our house stays between 70-74 degrees consistently0depending on the outside temp and how our A/C is working). It is not even comparable to the way it was and Im so grateful and could not be more thankful. I would highly recommend this company to anyone.

    Our experience with Sunlight was excellent. I communicated directly with the company owner Ira on the evaluation of our homes needs, questions regarding the services outlined and anything that came up during the process. Everyone was professional on the crew, cleaned up daily and the work was performed as outlined. Ira communicated proactively regarding the status of our project including sending along pictures and videos of each stage which was important given that it was not easily visible (under the house) and he visited the site often. It was very important to Ira and his crew that we were 100% satisfied prior to the end of the job. We would highly recommend Sunlight.

    I contacted Sunlight Contractors to foam insulate an investment property that I am renovating. Ira & his crew are all very professional, courteous & polite. Their workmanship, service product & communication skills are all excellent. They showed up on time & cleaned up afterward. Renovating an entire home its a major project, and Sunlight made this part of my project worry-free. Their work was done properly & without delay so I could move on to the next phase of the project. My renovation is now moving forward due to Sunlights assistance. Its good to know that there are businesses out there that take pride in their work & are dependable & responsible like Sunlight.     Ira Bosh is a great person. Not only did they do the job at hand, but they helped me with a gutter spout that had come off in the wind. The guys repaired it and secured it. Ira had all of the equipment at the site and made sure his guys had lots of water and safety equipment was in place as well. The guys cleaned and repaired our roof in a very timely fashion.     I called on a Wednesday and Mr. Ira called me back immediately. He answered many of my questions over the phone. We set up an appointment for an estimate on the Friday of the same week. Corey, one of his employees, finished up a job early and was able to come out on that Thursday to take all his measurements and answered all the questions that had occurred to me since my conversation with Ira. We received and accepted the quote on the next day. There was a crew at my house the Saturday of the same week to remove the old insulation. The crew that came out was awesome; they were very friendly and cleaned up the house very well. The foam crew came in that following Monday and did great job. They were prompt courteous and also cleaned up well. Its been 2 weeks now of 90° + temperatures and the 20 year old AC unit in the house isnt struggling to keep up anymore. We had a wonderful experience with Mr. Ira and his crew of professional and hardworking individuals. This company delivers exceptional professional service fueled by deep expertise. If you are thinking about getting spray foam done, stop thinking and do it. I recommended Sunlight to a couple friends and family and theyre calling to have the work done.

    Sunlight Contractors was prompt in responding and very communicative throughout the quoting process. During the removal of the existing insulation, the crew found quite a bit of unexpected construction debris in the attic that they worked their tails off to remove. In the end, our house wasn’t the best candidate for spray foam. Ira came out to go over the options and we decided that if we were to move forward there would be too much risk of issues down the line. Ira refunded my deposit money and is coming back to replace the insulation that was taken out. Even though the end result was not what was expected, Ira made it right in the end and that is a sign of an upstanding company.

    The team at Sunlight Contractors is great.My A/C unit was running all day when it would get hot outside, and I couldnt get my indoor temperature below 75. But before upgrading the unit, I decided to try spray foam in my attic. I got a couple of quotes and read many reviews. Sunlights quote was a few hundred dollars cheaper than the only other contractor that was comparably reviewed and credentialed. Ira with Sunlight gave me a bunch of information and answered all of my questions.Everyone with Sunlight was punctual, courteous, and informative. They did everything they said they would do and all seemed happy to do it.This is the first really hot day since my spray foam was installed. My A/C isnt running nonstop, and my thermostat reads 70.Spray foam is relatively expensive but so far seems well worth it.

    I researched and interviewed various insulation companies in the NOLA area and ultimately felt most comfortable with Sunlight Contractors. On my request, Ira and Corey provided a lot of information to help me become more knowledgeable about why my house was losing conditioned air. Corey then met with me at my residence and answered all the remaining questions I had. I booked them immediately.Their crew arrived (and finished) exactly on schedule. I did a mix of spray foam and dense pack cellulose and I couldnt be happier with the installation and overall experience. These guys are highly recommended. I always shop around when it comes to contractors, but with these guys, theres no need to. Youre getting the best insulation installation based on your needs and at the best competitive price. By comparison, the other top-rated insulation companies offered me worse insulation installations at higher prices. You wont regret doing business with Sunlight Contractors.

    Ira and everyone at Sunlight Contractors were Fantastic. Needed insulation for my new built Home in Waveland MS. Contacted Sunlight Contractors along with 4 other spray foam contractors. After talking to Ira regarding my needs he convinced me I wanted Spray Foam throughout the house and the underside of the home (Elevated Home). I was running on a tight time schedule and he was able to get the work done on my schedule. The crew was on time and completed the interior of the home in one day. Cam back on Friday and did the underside of the home with in 3 hours. The Crew was very courteous and very knowledgeable of the process. Even ensured the bathroom vents were run to an area that would allow them to vent outside to keep the moisture out of the home. As far as how well the insulation will perform is yet to be seen due to the Mini Split A/C system is not completed yet but I expect it to be fantastic. I would highly recommend Sunlight Contractors for any of your needs.

    It isnt a coincidence they have a perfect five star reputation across the board. I, maybe like you, was skeptical but put in a call and got the owner Ira. There was no BS, he shot me straight and we got it done. My house (a raised house) was insulated with bat insulation which allowed moisture in. The closed cell spray is the only way to go in our climate. House has a more solid feel walking thru it as well! Thanks guys!

    Sunlight Contractors recently installed open-cell spray foam insulation in our attic. We immediately felt the difference in our home. The house is not as drafty and the heater comes on less frequently. The temperature in the attic is only a few degrees different than inside the house. It’s great to be able to store things in the attic again. The workmen were friendly and efficient for both the fiberglass removal and the foam installation. They came on time, worked quickly, and cleaned up after themselves. I would definitely recommend Sunlight Contractors to my friends.

    I reached out to Sunlight Contractors to have our attic spray foamed as a new home owner. At the time I was very cautious when approaching Sunlight contractors. They were straight forward and detailed with their explanations of the process, effectiveness and the cost. Weve been in our home for 3 years now and since adding the spray foam to our attic, the temperature in our home is able to hold between 73 - 75 even during the hottest days of the summer. Before the spray foam there were days where I couldnt get the temperature in our home below 85.If we ever decide to spray foam our exterior walls, I will most definitely contact Sunlight Contractors. :)

    Sunlight Contractors did a great job and were very professional. I first spoke with Ira who was very helpful through out the process. Then Corey came out and gave me an estimate for them to remove my existing insulation and to blow new cellulose insulation in my attic.Chris and Matt were the workers who came and did all the work on my house. They were informative, trustworthy, neat, and extremely hard workers.. I would recommend them to anyone.

    I had received multiple quotes and Sunlight was not only the best value, but also the most informative and responsive. Ira was in constant contact with me before the job and sent very detailed information about all of their products. He helped get the insulation installed sooner than originally quoted to conform to my schedule. On the day of installation there was an issue with their van so they were running late - but Ira called as soon as he knew and a sales rep showed up to inform me of the issues and wait for the van to arrive. I was very impressed with their quick response to this issue and dedication to inform me. Once they arrive setup went quickly and my AC went out randomly so they helped me troubleshoot it and found a loose connection in a junction box which they fixed! Both before and after installing the insulation they explained everything and took me into the attic to show me exactly what they were going to do. I appreciated this very much. Now that the insulation is installed my AC is running roughly half as often as it used to. I can finally cool down my new (old) house! A huge thanks to Sunlight and I would recommend to anyone looking to make their house more efficient. A rare experience these days to work with a contractor who is so invested in his clients satisfaction.

    Absolutely nothing bad to say at all with this company. Ira, Ashley, Allen and the entire team were great. Ira the owner is in constant contact with you at all times. Great work, cleaned up afterwards and trust worthy. They insulated my house and Installed a Dehumidifier. I can’t believe the difference it already made. My in laws noticed the immediate change and have already decided to call Sunlight for foam insulation.

    I heard about Sunlight Contractors from a friend who used them for closed cell spray foam in his metal building and highly recommended them and the lead tech on the job Corey Yates. Let me start by saying I didnt expect anyone to answer the phone at 4pm on a Saturday to give me a quote, but the owner, Mr. Ira did and was very transparent on pricing. We had a fantastic 30-minute conversation about almost every aspect of foam and fiberglass insulation you could think of. He ensured I understood the fundamentals of spray foam, air sealing, relative humidity (and the parameters that would warrant the need for a dehumidifier) and how ventilation is not needed when foaming the roof/attic of a home. We even talked ACs and getting an HVAC load testing done to right size my new construction home. This man is so knowledgeable, friendly and truly loves what he does. He even went as far to ensure that if I didnt go with him, to do my due diligence at sprayfoam.org and the LA State Board of Contractors. Who does that? Lol. He was great!     From Start to finish they followed through on everything they said that they would do, their communication was excellent. The same day that I received the quote I also received an email with their proof of insurance, and a very thorough explanation of the material that they use. I felt much more informed about what I was purchasing and who I was purchasing it from.We have saved about 30-40% on our electrical bill! Not to mention it is much quieter in the house. You cant hear the outside noise as much. That was an unexpected bonus!!!Sunlight Contractors has made a loyal customer out of me. If there is something that I need done at my home or my place of business I will always call Sunlight Contractors first before anyone else.     The owner, Ira, is a consummate professional. I had multiple holes in my roof during Hurricane Ida and needed someone to remove the blown in insulation, remove a ceiling, and spray for mold. He was the only contractor post Hurricane Ida that was straightforward, honest, and ensured the job was done to completion. When you hire Sunlight Contractors, you are hiring a team of hard workers. Ira is there in the throughout the project to make sure the project is completed to the customer’s satisfaction. Ira and his team also have decades of experience are able to ascertain what needs to happen to remedy the problem. I would definitely hire Sunlight Contractors again to do construction jobs at my house.

    I recently had my attic sprayed by Sunlight contractors and the decision and investment was the best I have made in my 37yrs of existence.Ira was more than informative he helped me and made me feel comfortable about my decision the entire time foam spraying can be scary but talking with a professional such as Ira he makes you feel confident.     Sunlight Contractors is a very professional company to work with. The crew was on time and cleaned up very well after they were finished. Ive had my spray foam for almost a year now. The difference I see in my energy bill is unbelievable. Last year during the summer months, prior to the install, my bill was right around $250 dollars. This year I did not pay over $140 in the hottest part of the summer. My air condition is running much less and my home is overall so much more comfortable. I would highly recommend this company!

    This was an amazing experience. As a first-time homebuyer, I was extremely nervous due to the cost of replacing a roof. Sunlight Contracting was not only super easy to work with and incredibly professional, but well-priced, especially for the job. They showed up on a Monday and finished that same day, replacing my crumbling shingles with architectural shingles on a 2,800 square foot roof. And they did it in just about 8 hours. Incredible. Ira kept me apprised of everything throughout the process and there were no surprises. His team even cleaned up almost every bit of scrap. They even cleaned up some messes I had left in the yard, and swept my back deck. I will definitely be calling Ira and his team at Sunlight Contracting for more work in the future!

    These guys came out on time and were very professional and friendly. They called ahead to let me know they were on the way and to confirm the appt time. They did an excellent job removing the old insulation from the attic. The owner actually came out to meet me and to make sure I was happy with his staff. It was much appreciated.     Highly recommend SunlightI contacted Sunlight because my A/C constantly ran and would never shut offduring the day. In fact it wouldnt catch up till around 2 or 3:00 in themorning. Ira sent me a lot of info and videos that were very helpful and Coreycame out and gave me an estimate that I was very pleased with. I decided to gowith the open foam insulation on the underside of my roof. On the morning ofthe job when Alan and his crew showed up he explained to me everything they were going to be doing. They even covered up all of my stuff in the attic for me so theywouldnt get any overspray on it. When they were finished they cleaned up so wellthat I couldnt even tell they were ever there. Needless to say I am very happywith the work that was performed. My A/C now runs a lot less. Cant wait to seehow much of a difference it makes on my electric bill.     I cant go on enough to rave on Sunlight! This was by far the best service Ive received since recently buying my house. They are so knowledgeable about their product. They work with you through the whole step of the way. Corey and his men were so professional at my home and I didnt have to worry leaving them there. They cleaned up after and explained and showed me the finished attic and not just leaving when I arrived, Ira what can I say his superb customer service is the best in the business no pressure at all.     I contacted Sunlight because of the strong mildew odor in the house we just purchased. I have a particularly small crawl space and was impressed they were able to get under the house to offer a quote and subsequently perform the job.     At first I was unsure which insulation company I would use for my project. I researched and interviewed several other companies for months and Sunlight Contractors stood out with their certifications and extensive knowledge.Throughout my 4 month project Sunlight Contractors answered every question I had and backed it up with intelligent answers and product paperwork which no one else did. Many companies give the wrong advise and you get mixed up but trust me Sunlight Contractors are pros.Because of their professionalism and constant quick replies to all my questions I chose Sunlight Contractors.They recently spray foamed open cell in the roof line and closed cell in the walls of my metal building. I can already feel the difference.What made me realize why everyone has trust and confidence in Sunlight Contractors is the following. The crew of 4 forgot to spray a small section in my building around 300 square feet in an enclosed room. I called them and they apologized immediately making an appointment convenient with my time schedule. They came back exactly when promised and took care of it perfectly. I couldn’t be happierTo me you can’t put a price tag on being straight forward and trust. Knowing that a company immediately takes care of any issue means everything to me. It’s no wonder why Sunlight Contractors have all those great reviews all over social media.

    Upon contacting Sunlight they returned my e-mail very quickly and came to my residence and provided a quote within a week. The employeee who arrived was very professional and knowledgeable and took his time to answer any and all the questions I asked. The removal and installation where done two weeks later in a two day period with everyone being professional and cleaning up after. A week after thr install I noticed a crack in my ceiling and contacted the owner Mr. Ira. Mr. Ira sent a crew to my residence to fix the damaged ceiling. The area of the ceiling was in my garage and very very old and at this point the crack had grown into almost 1/2 of my ceiling collapsing. The sunlight crew looked at the ceiling and knew the whole thing needed to be replaced. Mr. Ira was ccontacted andme and him came to an in my opinion very favorable decision in which he absorbed the majority of the costs and replaced my whole garage ceiling. I would definitely use this company again.

    I contacted Ira on Tuesday afternoon regarding some concerns with my attic spray foam. He provided information on what needed to be done and let me know that this was something that I could do or have a handyman do. I elected to have a professional inspection. On Wednesday morning, Ira and Clayton contacted me to let me know that the inspection could be done that morning. Clayton arrived on time. He was knowledgeable and professional. He completed the inspection and shared his findings with me. Clayton and Ira contacted me an hour or so later to further discuss the findings and the steps that were needed to address the problems. Clayton returned later during the day to do additional testing. I had contacted two other spray foam contractors with this concern, and they told me I needed to do nothing. This was not consistent with information I had from reputable sources. Very glad I made the decision to contact Sunlight.

    Applied Spray foam insulation to the bottom of my roof deck and gables, sealed the perimeter of my ceiling in the attic.Fantastic!!! They were on time and worked 5-6 hrs. Nonstop!     My husband and I are not the type to write reviews online, but we feel as though this company has exceeded our expectations and more. My husband, Adrian, is in the HVAC business and has seen a lot of spray foam jobs gone wrong and was very leery about who we hire to spray our house. We then called Mr. Ira and he spoke to my husband for about an hour on the phone answering any questions we had for him. They sent a representative for the company out the same day to give us a quote. These people are professionals!!! We knew right then and there that we wanted them to do the job! The crew was so polite and walked us through any questions we had during the process.     Recently retired, I now had time to rebuild the house I lost in hurricane Katrina. Ive been in construction for 47 years so I know a little about the trades. Ive had four different insulation contractors come out to my home to give me bids. All bids were in the same ballpark, but what I was going to get was in question, besides Sunlight Contractors! Sunlight Contractors spoke with confidence and clarity. After our initial visit, where they explained the products and how to make the job get done with the most efficiency. Corey Yates, one of the owners, was on site from start to finish during the foaming process. While talking with him he showed me a certification that proves he is a master spray foam insulation installer. On the job training is great but a little classroom time cant be beat!     I hired Sunlight Contractors after reading the reviews. My original intent was to insulate the attic at a house my daughter purchased in Mandeville.Due to other issues , the work scope grew. Ira and his crew rose to and met all challenges as the scope grew. In addition to insulating the attic, we added dehumidifiers, and corrected the upstairs noise and floor squeaking problem. The bays in the upstairs floor were insulated and sound proofed. New 3/4 decking was installed at my request. I had them replace my deathtrap wooden pull-down attic stairs with an upgraded version. They also replaced four doors and frames. Electrical work- no problem; They installed new heat / light / vent units in the bathrooms. They rewired new smoke detectors and corrected all lighting and AC outlet issues. The list goes on the more issues that were found. If you want a one stop shop... Sunlight Contractors is for you. Always on time. Very good crews. Ira (the owner) is on site every day. Everything you ever wanted in a contracting company. They go to the ends of the earth to do the project right.     I called Sunlight Contractors to help me resolve an issue with a home I just purchased. It was a very unique situation that required extensive knowledge on insulation and vapor barriers. I was very pleased to see that Sunlight Contractors had a very informed staffed that took the time to evaluate my problem during the quoting process. They gave me several recommendations along with some really great information on how to resolve the issue (all of this before signing a contract with them).In the end, I had Sunlight Contractors spay closed cell foam under my raised home. They sprayed the entire first floor, including the joists.     I recently moved into the home that I was raised in and, as expected with any older home, I had many issues to address. I had a new a/c unit installed; however, the temperature in the home always exceeded the temperature set on the thermostat. I eventually learned that the insulation in my attic was insufficient and partially to blame for my cooling issues. I found myself in need of an insulation company. I asked around and a friend located Sunlight Contractors, LLC on Angies List. I called other companies as well to ensure I received the best deal at the best price. The initial quote from Sunlight Contractors was above my budget; however, Ira advised me of a more affordable option.     Just had Sunlight Contractors blow Spray Foam Insulation in my up stairs attic. My up stairs has historically been either to hot in the summer or to cold in the winter. I have been in the attic several times since the install to check on the temperature. I am so impressed with how much cooler the attic is now that we have the Spray Foam Insulation. The upstairs air conditioner is not running all day long like it was in the past. They also had to remove all of the old fiberglass insulation before the install of the Spray Foam Insulation.. The crew that removed the old fiberglass insulation was friendly and did a quick and efficient job of removing all of the old unnecessary nasty fiberglass insulation. If you are considering Spray Foam Insulation for your home or business. I would highly recommend Sunlight Contractors.

    We added 2 bedrooms in what was the attic to accommodate our big family. To cool the rooms we added another AC unit, which was actually over sized, because we anticipated that the addition would be hard to cool. Once the walls were insulated, the sheetrock was hung & the finish work on the interior walls was complete, I turned on the AC & the addition wouldnt get below 75 degrees (at night). During the afternoon time the temperature would not get below 92/94 degrees. I then started to research how to cool off an attic. I read many of reviews from the worst to the best about this spray foam, closed cell and open cell, and they left me a little skeptical. I asked my wife to start searching for spray foam companies in the area & thats when we found Sunlight Contractors. Due to Iras professionalism & knowledge, my wife and I felt very comfortable. All of the horror stories I read about spray foam had 1 thing in common, the contractors didnt know what they were doing. Anyhow, we had the spray foam installed and now, in the morning, I turn the AC from 70 degrees to 75 degrees & it doesnt even come back on until around 11AM. It is AMAZING how cool the attic remains throughout the day & the whole house just seems to be more comfortable. I am waiting to see how much we save on our electric bill. I would definitely recommend Sunlight Contractors to anyone who has a heating and cooling issue or who would just like to seal up their house and make it a bit more comfortable. Like the other reviews say, these guys are extremely knowledgeable & professional. The only thing that I regret is that I didnt have it done sooner!

    We recently used sunlight contractors to remediate the moisture underneath our home’s subfloor (raised house), remove all old insulation, and spray foam the entire underneath of the residence. We hired them after the sale of our home fell through due to conditions underneath our home. The pre-inspection was thorough and I left confident that this was the path forward. Ira and Clayton answered all of my questions and gave me regular updates through the entire process. These updates included regular moisture readings, photographed results and photos of the Spray foam as being applied. The sunlight employees were out here two and three times a day underneath my house making sure everything was drying as planned (including weekends). The job site was clean at all times, all employees were professionally dressed and punctual. Even after completion Ira and Clayton have continued to check in and confirm that the humidity/moisture in our home has receded. Ira has even sent a third party underneath to check and confirm the workmanship of his job. After the job was complete Clayton came back to look at my attic and is fixing the work of my original contractor at no additional cost. Just some things he noticed that needed to be addressed. This particular employee of sunlight’s was one of the most professional and courteous I have ever encountered. Bottom line, these are the guys for any and all moisture remediation and spray foam needs. I would hire them in a heartbeat. I wish I could have hired them originally to do the extensive renovation and addition to our home.

    We bought a Katrina house and are fixing it up. It had no insulation in the walls and the air conditioners ran most of the time. The next day after Sunlight dense packed our walls the AC was only running half as much.     My story starts with my wife and I discussing spray foam insulation in our home. Our home was built in 1948 and was not very well insulated. We decided to seek some bids to determine if this was an option for us. Out of the 4 contractors who showed up to give me an estimate only one seemed to have their act together. Sunlight Contractors (Dr Energy Saver NOLA) came in with a computerized negative pressure system and a Heat Sensing Camera to show me where my problem areas were. No one else even came close to this presentation, and Sunlights estimate was comparable to the others with so much more attention to the job. So we decided to get the job done with Sunlight Contractors. Let me start by saying I was in construction for 15 years and therefore I am a picky customer. With saying that, all construction jobs have their ups and downs as to contractors and customers views on how things are going to work out. Sunlight Contractors (Dr Energy Saver NOLA) handled everything in stride. After the completion of the installation the Sunlight Contractors supervisor took care of everything with a thorough walk through of the project and He personally addressed all issues that were found. Now for the even better news... I came home one day and noticed the power bill on the counter. I decided to take a look at it and noticed a considerably lower use of energy. May of 2015 showed 957 kWh used and May of 2014 showed 1388 kWh used. Simple math shows that last year there was 45% more energy used. Wow! It was then that I had to say something.     Ira and his team are AMAZING. They are in the process of removing improperly installed insulation and remediating mold for us. They are professional, knowledgeable, safe and efficient.     My brother recently used sunlight contractors for a large new home project and I know how much research he does before using a product or company, so I knew before hand they had to be a good quality and reputable company. So when I decided to have the walls of an older home I was redoing for my son insulated I called them. We discussed options and I decided to have the walls filled with dense packed cellulose. The two men they sent out were very professional and friendly answering all of my questions and concerns. This is a messy job but they kept it to a minimum and cleaned up after themselves. I was very pleased with the end result and will have them back to do the attic as soon as I can get it emptied.     The process took several hours to complete, which was about the time estimated during the sales presentation (the installation was completed approximately 13 months ago). The crew arrived on time and immediately began to move any items out of my attic that were in the way. Upon completing the job, they cleaned up any debris which may have accumulated from the work and put everything back exactly where it had been moved from. As a result of the work, I have realized immediate savings in my electrical bill and my air conditioning unit is working much more efficiently. Prior to this, my a/c unit would come on at about 10am and not go off until 10pm, after the house finally cooled down. The unit never cycled on and off during the daytime hours and the temperature on the thermostat would often reach 85 or 86 degrees. The unit would run constantly until the temperature outside dropped, usually only after the sun went down or if it became overcast. Now the temperature on the thermostat never rises above 80 degrees (set at 78) and the a/c unit cycles on and off during the day like it’s supposed to. My most recent electrical bill was $179.35 where my bill for the same period last year was approximately $304.15. My home is much cooler and comfortable while helping me save money via lower electrical bills. My home now remains really cool, sometimes cold, to the point where Ill move the thermostat higherI live in New Orleans, Louisiana, and during the summer of 2015, there was a significant period where the temperatures reached or exceeded 95 degrees everyday; the heat index reached 115 degrees. Although the a/c unit remained on for longer periods, the house remained cool, with the temperature on the thermostat never getting higher than 80 degrees. I will admit my bill did rise during this period but that was possibly due to increased usage charges by the utility company. Despite the increased a/c usage due to the intense heat, my bill remained significantly lower than the levels I experienced prior to the installation of the spray-foam insulation.I am completely satisfied with this product and would highly recommend Sunlight Contractors, LLC to anyone who asks. I truly appreciate their customer service as the company owner has personally contacted me several times to inquire about my satisfaction with the product.

    It was an easy process to schedule them to come out to do an assessment in order for them to send me a quote. Once the tech came and got the details, they sent me a quote with details about what each fee was and why it was the amount it was. They scheduled a date and time and due to some circumstances, they had to push it by one day. When the day came for the insulation removal, they were prompt, polite, respectful and completed the removal in a timely manner. I had a few questions about the process and asked the manager about it. He said he would have to get back to me, and he called me back and answered my questions promptly.

    The attic was insulated with open cell spray foam and the floors were insulated with closed cell spray foam. Before the job was done we were having many temperature problems. The A/C would run non stop in the summer and the heater would run non stop in the winter. Our energy bills were steadily rising and our home was still uncomfortable.     My husband and I entered into a contract to have Sunlight Contractors LLC spray open cell foam in our attic during the week of August 10, 2015. During the period that we were talking with Sunlight Contractors about whether to have the work done, we were pleasantly surprised at the helpful attitude and professionalism of the team, while not feeling any pressure to have them do the work. They presented a comprehensive plan and package of what would take place and answered all of our questions fully. We did not feel rushed with them and they afforded us the time to make this big decision. Ira Bosh was extremely helpful when we were honest with him and told him that we would be getting other estimates from other companies. He offered suggestions to ensure that we would be comparing apples to apples when we did our evaluations, which we appreciated. When we finally signed with Sunlight, we did so because we felt the knowledge and experience that they demonstrated were extremely important to getting a sound, finished product; that the price was a good one; and the customer service was superb. Ira told us what would happen when the workers would come to the house to do the work so there were no surprises. They arrived bright and early as promised and the crew was extremely professional, hard-working, and kind. They worked non-stop for two days and cleaned up any residual foam that may have floated down out of our attic. Ira followed up with us that afternoon and when the crew came out a few days later to reevaluate the job and take temperature readings in the attic, he told us step-by-step what they would be doing to assess the success of the job. I can honestly say that I went in the attic the day before the job started and the heat in the attic was stifling; it was hard to breathe. When I went up in the attic the day after the crew finished the work, the attic was significantly cooler - it was definitely bearable to stay up there and look through some storage items, which I could not have even done days before. Since the attic has been insulated the warmest it has gotten in the attic was almost 90 degrees when our outside thermometer read that the temperature was 100. We have also noticed that our air-conditioning units are operating more efficiently thanks to the lower attic temperature, and the house is noticeably more comfortable. We have not gotten an electric bill since the work was done; however, looking at the KWH on our last months bill and comparing that usage to a current reading we did showed a drop in daily KWH usage.     Excellent staff & workers. As of right now, this is the 2nd day the sprayers are in my attic. My home is 110+yrs old. It has 2 levels of attic.     I dont ever do reviews unless I have a bad experience. The typical means to show my appreciation is to refer others and to be a return customer. For these guys I have to do all of the above. First off, I have a 100 year old house that I am living in while renovating (i.e. No insulation, Metal roof, Wood siding, & Window units). These guys understand the importance of this and the urgency associated with heat issues. A year ago I put in the central A/C. When the summer heated up I had major issues. Called Sunlight and they came quick. We did a Energy Survey and found the metal roof in the attic (where the air handler is) was over 160 degrees. They understood my urgency and took care of me as quick as could be hoped for. Came out great and we were much cooler.Last week I failed to use my brain... I started opening up walls and un-insulated ceilings before checking availability for another job. I had a birthday party the up coming weekend and really put myself in a bad spot after finding out there was no openings in their schedule before my party.     This is an update to my review: In the beginning of September I had the spray foam installed in my attic and just the energy charge (does not include the fuel charge and everything else) was $199.35 and Octobers energy charge was $88.73. That is a SAVINGS of $110.62!!!! I highly recommend Sunlight Contractors and I dont regret having it done. It is so worth it.They were there when they promised to give me an estimate. They answered all my questions that I had about the job and were very knowledgeable.     We used Sunlight Contractor this past June, 2015, to spray foam our attic.Like most, we shopped around for quotes and ultimately found similar prices. As an individual in the construction industry, my fiance was impressed that he was not just talk but truly knew the ins and outs of the roof heat transfer, construction codes, and building envelope design.     Called Sunlight on Monday and to my surprise had Clayton come out that afternoon to give me a quote. I was not quite ready to do the job, I was going to remove ceiling sheetrock myself, but Ashley did a fantastic job keeping up with me for when my renovations were complete (which was over a month). I called on a Friday and let her know I was done and the very next Monday the team with Corey was here. They said they would be here by 9 am, but they were beyond punctual and was already starting around 8:30.     I found sunlight contractors on line .they did a remakeable job on my job on my log cabin.the preaparation was second to none .the difference from before i had the cabin spray foamed and now is night and day.i cant belive im in my loft and im not sweating ! this is a miracle product and corey yates is a miracle craftsmen.

    4/3/15: Sunlight has been excellent to work with. The sales rep Ira provided me with the appropriate level of information about the services and the products they utilize, and let me decide about the final plan. What most impressed me was that Mr. Ira told me what to look for in ANY installer--whoever you wind up choosing, make sure they provide this kind of information about the product, these kind of certifications and contracting licenses, etc. He also talked me out of unnecessary expenses (that would have meant more profit for him) and helped me understand why I would or would not need to do various things to seal the house. This proved a very useful sales tactic--I sought other estimates, and felt better equipped to compare services, and eventually came back to Sunlight because, after all this, their prices and availability were the best.The only (and most important) factor I cannot yet comment upon is how much of a difference the insulation makes in the comfort of my home and its effect on my previously ridiculous AC bills in the summer and gas heating bills in the winter. I will amend the review when I have that information.6/5/15: Sunlight did my attic on 4/29/15. Again, they were on time, fast, neat, and respectful of the property. Spraying the attic took about four hours. The odor was detectable in the attic of course and in the laundry room where the attic steps fold down; both were gone in a few days.The service has been completed for about five weeks now. It is obvious that the house is cooler and quieter. My AC cycles less frequently and has to work less hard to keep the house comfortable. I have the thermostat set to 76-78 when home and thus far its been able to maintain this easily with shorter/fewer cycles. My electric/gas bill for May 2015 was $28. It was $85 a year ago. (I do have solar panels, and dont necessarily keep my house frigid, but my usage patterns are pretty steady from year to year, so some of that decrease is definitely due to the foam under the house and under the roof.Your termite guys dont like foam for obvious reasons--they can no longer directly see the subfloor and the underside of the rafters in the attic when the time comes for inspection. I had tented my home in 12/2014 for drywood termites (I saw frass in multiple rooms in the house, not because they saw something under the house or in the attic on inspection--not sure theyve ever been IN my attic) and I think you should consider timing something like this immediately after the next time you have to tent, if possible, so that the foam is hiding as termite-free wood as possible, because it is true that the termite guys cant see as well. And I recommend talking this over with your termite contractor beforehand; mine (J&J) said that the presence of foam does not nullify the contract.All in all, this is a GREAT service--Sunlight priced their product/installation competitively and the customer service is just outstanding. I think if I called Ira at 0300 with a burning question, hed probably take my call--his commitment to satisfaction is just very obvious. If you are looking at insulating your home, Sunlight is an excellent choice, based on my experience.9/12/15: it’s performing beautifully. my last four summer electric bills have been under $30, meaning that the combo of my solar panels and your insulation are doing just what i’d hoped they would—running ac at 76 or so is barely budging my bill!
