    From starting to finishing the project, Tristar provided phenomenal service and communicated very well via email. They addressed all of my concerns before hand and arrived on time. Dustin responded very quickly to address my concerns even after technician left the job-site and sent technician over to address the issue. Technician ran the wire neatly in conduit without exposing, installed light fixture, and, change outlets.

    Ive tried many electricians in my new home. TriStar electricians are Professional and efficient. I used them to install an outdoor outlet for my EV. Great job on that. Today Debbie and Danielle were able to diagnose all my electrical issues and recommend solutions. If not for them, I would not have known my new refrigerator has issues. They also installed my under cabinet lights, halfway sconce, and dimmer in no time. Highly recommend.

    Debbie & Danielle were great. They explained what they were seeing with the wiring throughout the process. Debbie explained what is necessary for a long term fix and rewired the existing bathroom switch to hopefully prevent future trips. They were also very accommodating and considerate considering I had renters staying in the house.

Debbie Metz and assistants have done several electrical jobs at my house, including completely rewiring and installing lights & a heater when my kitchen was remodeled, installing a ceiling fan/light on my patio, installing several new light fixtures.Not only did they do a superb job, but Debbie had recommendations which I adopted (like putting in a pendant light in the kitchen where there never had been one before), and she also came up with an alternative to a ceiling medallion because I had forgotten to get one - and it looks perfect.Honestly, I will ONLY call TriStar when I have future electrical work to be done!

    Fantastic experience with this company. I had an EV charger installed as well as some other smaller projects that Ive been meaning to get done for a while. The installation crew was on time, and they did an excellent job on wiring and installing the charger. I really appreciate that they accommodated some of my special requirements during wiring.     I spent months calling electricians about re-wiring my 1800s house to add a generator. Most of them ghosted me. Some said on the phone that it could not be done. At TriStar they are authorized representatives of Generac generators. They were willing to look at my house and told me they could do it. Their estimate was not cheap but was reasonable for this type of work. Even more important, they stuck to the estimate and did not raise prices during the job. They are very good about sending alerts for appointments and arrival times. When they ran into complications, they put more people on the job so they could stay on schedule. I am definitely using them again for future electric projects.

    There were a few things we really wanted when we moved into our new home and lighting upgrades was one of them. I know nothing about electrical work but Dustin was helpful in explaining the effort it would take to carry out my vision within my budget. He and his team really modernized and brightened our home. In one day, they were able to install three ceiling fans in rooms where no overhead lighting existed, replace our outdated kitchen fixtures, replace “boob” lights with clean recessed lights, and added six recessed lights to our basement that previously only had one overhead bulb. We have a little touch up painting to do, which we expected, and are thrilled with the work they performed. Will definitely go back to Tri-Star with any future electrical needs.

    Due to these crazy storms we’ve been having and the surge damages they’ve caused, it was recommended that we have a Whole House Surge Protector. I wish someone recommended this product years ago. It would have saved us a lot of headache and money.Anyway, I contacted several electrical companies for quotes. TriStar Electric was very prompt, straightforward, and accurate with the quote. They price was similar to the other we called, but the reason I decided to hire TriStar was because they took the time to explain the process, look at the whole house surge protector we purchased, and check if it was compatible with our electric panel. All over the phone! The cost for installation was $195, which includes the breaker pole. Again, this is around the same price we received from other companies as well.Once the electrician arrived, he was quick and thorough! The work was done in 30 mins.So happy with the results! They gave us the peace of mind we’ve been needing!Highly recommend!!

    Significantly lower price than other electricians I spoke to about upgrading my electrical panel. Most stated that the panel needed to be moved at excessive cost to pass inspection. TriStar checked with the inspector ahead of time and confirmed that the panel could remain in the same place, saving me thousands of dollars. On top of that, quality and service have been excellent. Ive already scheduled more electrical work with them.Update: My panel passed inspection with flying colors, and Greg even called me after the inspection was done to check in! Dustin has also always been incredibly responsive and patient with my request for estimates for the electrical panel, as well as the second round of electrical work I just had done today.On top of that, I cannot emphasize enough what a great job and how professional Debbie and Danielle were today. They were incredibly respectful of my home while I worked remotely. Not only that, the new light fixture I bought was slightly slanted in a way that I thought I might have to return it, but Debbie told me to give her fifteen minutes, and next thing I knew, she had it fixed. Incredible. All of the work they did was top notch, and I cant recommend this team highly enough.

    I had an emergency today where my husband wanted to play “handyman” while I was getting new backsplash installed and blew out one of the electrical outlets and the kitchen went dark. I called Greg at Tri-Star and he had help on the way within an hour.Luis and his assistant arrived early and within minutes solved my problem.     Luis Duran and Victor were persistent and undaunted even though they encountered lighting designs that were unfamiliar —. e.g., instead of four recessed lights in a room on one switch, I have two rooms with four recessed lights, but two are on one switch and the other two are on the other switch. I also have two switches on each side of the bed in the main bedroom. One of the two operates the light on that same side of the bed, and the other of the two operates the light on the other side of the bed. Same arrangement in reverse on the other side of the bed. (I aimed for flexibility.)That arrangement slowed them down a bit because it was unfamiliar. If I were their supervisor, I would give them a tip to slow down just a little at the outset, just enough to listen more carefully to the owner (in this case, me) who may be trying to explain these unusual designs. I think that it would save them time in the long run.Thinking about the lighting design led them at first to assume that the reason the light fixtures were not working was more serious than just replacing bulbs. There may be, however, a problem of mismatch of dimmers that work with incandescent lights but not with LED lights — if I understood that correctly. I think that actually resolved itself, though.All that said, they were polite and accommodating in a challenging place, having to move around some things to get to some of the lights.They also told me what I need to get to replace the floodlights and motion sensors that aren’t working.

    I needed two wires run one for an 50amp EV charger and an induction stovetop. TriStar electric came out quickly gave an estimate and came out to work next week. The installation looks terrific armored cable for the charger that they managed to fit into a tight space for the basement bulkhead.Along with doing a great job everyone on the team was very friendly and a pleasure to talk with. They explained everything and competed the job even faster than I expected.I would highly recommend them to anyone I who needs an electrician.

    We recently had TriStar out to install two ceiling fans, a light fixture, and corresponding switches in our home. The process from scheduling a estimate, getting that estimate to scheduling the install & the actual installation was quite smooth and professional. Greg who handles all the scheduling was a pleasure to work with. He answered all my questions and was very responsive to my calls and emails. The day of the install, Debbie & Danielle arrived on the earlier side of the arrival window and completed the work at least an hour earlier than scheduled. They did great work installing everything and cleaned up after themselves once they were done. I also appreciated Debbies honesty regarding the cost of the work. As it turned out the work order stated we were having 3 ceiling fans installed, when actually we only had two installed plus a light fixture. She made the necessary adjustments to the invoice which brought down the cost of the job by about $160. I should mention that we got 3 estimates from electricians before deciding to go with TriStar. We went with TriStar because their estimate was right in the middle and they were the most responsive to my calls & emails. I would definitely recommend TriStar to anyone looking to have quality, professional electrical work done at a reasonable price and will be calling them again when we need an electrician.

A physically challenged person would have had to hire an additional repair person to restore ceiling.They did not adequately unpack all of units packaging. We had to go searching after the fact through trash to retrieve items such as owners manuals.They could have done a better job orienting us to operation of fan. We had to go hunting for blade reversal switch after they left which was in an awkward location.We were charged the agreed upon price based on 4 hours of expected work, but were led to believe that it might cost less if the job took less time (they were done in just under 3 hours). However, no reduction was made.Overall however, we were satisfied with their work (we gave each a nominal gratuity) and would consider using TriStar again.

    We were replacing the siding on our house when several of the breakers in our breaker box tripped. All but one were able to be reset without tripping immediately again. Originally thought that one of the siding nails had pernitrate a wire on the affected circuit. TriStar was able to send out a technician and we were able to quickly trace the issue to the breakers being partially unseated. Technician was polite and courteous, and went the extra mile by double checking the wiring for the affected outlets after power was restored to the circuit.

    The main office and the estimator were really great to work with. they were responsive, informative, and friendly. their rates were very reasonable compared to other estimates i got.the crew - debbie and danny (women in trades!) were *fantastic.* they asked all the right questions to understand the project, pointed out alternative ideas, worked quickly and efficiently, and kept me informed of their progress. they also double checked on things that would damage drywall or paint, before proceeding.ive worked with several contractors of various sorts recently, and these are the first for which i can honestly say that i have no complaints.

    Company kept me up-to-date with e-mails. I would recommend since they were willing to work with me. I was able to explain what part of the electrical work I was able to do and they clearly explained to me their costs. The 2-man crew that did the work were friendly and knowledgeable.

    They were great, despite pandemic and BGE issues. I had a electrical panel upgraded and AFIC/GFIC breakers installed for my aluminum wiring. They also coordinated with BG&E to install an outdoor switch and move the meter outdoors, per Howard County rules. Thanks to BG&E backlog, the whole process took nearly 6 months and I had to work with several TriStar groups. Every team was always very polite, thorough, and explained every step. They are the best electrical contractors I have ever dealt with.

    Super responsive and very thorough! Matt, with Tristar Electric came out same day to inspect a serious electrical concern and also repair work that a previous electrician did the day before.Customer service and management was also super nice and respectful and concerned about the issue.     The technician came on time and tried to fix the issue. Since the function can be evaluated only at night time. I realized in the evening that the issue still exist. I was told to buy a new light fixture and arrange a service call next week.

    They were able to come out quickly and help me out even though they had a full schedule. The electrician, Larry, was great. The problem wasn’t easily found but thanks to Larry’s persistence, the problem was found and fixed. I rarely write reviews but TriStar Electric and Larry absolutely deserve a shout out!     Dustin at Tri-Star was great. I had an unusual, complicated service request pertaining to the electrical system feeding my stereo listening room and he studied the matter on his own, contacted the manufacturer of my balanced power device, re-routed the circuits and installed new ground rods, among other services. He really went above and beyond expectations and I would heartily recommend him on any job. .

    The previous homeowner did some DIY electrical work that needed to be undone and repaired. Debbie and Danielle came out to my house and they were fantastic. They arrived a few minutes early, were friendly, worked quickly and professionally, took care to clean up as they worked, and were just generally delightful humans - I could hear them talking as they worked and the tone was always pleasant and upbeat.They were also happy to show me exactly what had gone wrong with the prior DIY work (all of the grounds snipped out of a switch box, lights and garage door all tied in to a switch, etc) so that we could all laugh in horror together. And they got it all fixed faster than I expected!I have rooms with new overhead lighting, outlets that are safe to use (no more open grounds!), switches that work as you expect them to, and a garage door opener that can no longer be turned off by mistake. Im so grateful to TriStar, and especially to Debbie and Danielle, for giving me a brighter, more convenient, safer home.

    TriStar installed a whole-house generator at our home, and we also have an annual service contract. The company does excellent work. I recently hired them to install a Tesla Wall Connector at my home also. This was a tricky job given the location of our fuse boxes relative to the garage. Our electrician, Larry, did an outstanding job, kept me informed of his progress, asked my permission when certain cosmetic tasks needed to be performed, and left the work areas very clean when finished. I am very satisfied with TriStars work. (Although I am still waiting for the car so I can actually use the Wall Connector.)

    TriStar Electric worked on our new screened porch. They were very professional and knowledgeable. Greg remained flexible throughout the process in terms of scheduling. Debbie, our electrician, answered all of our questions and suggested numerous options that would not only meet the coding requirements but also look sharp as part of our porch project. Debbie easily handled some necessary troubleshooting due to existing wiring issues. We are very pleased with the final product and plan to use this company for any future electrical work. Bottom line - outstanding service!
