    We used Coastal Outdoor Construction for the design and construction of a pavered pool deck and wood deck connecting to our house after having another contractor install a pool. While the experience with our pool contractor was fraught with questions and frustration, the whole process with Coastal Outdoor Construction, from consult, to design, to coordination with our pool contractor, to construction of the finished product was entirely painless and exceeded our expectations.Karl was involved at each step to ensure we received our dream backyard, working together with his excellent designer, Ivy, our concept was completely captured with some excellent suggestions for improvement. Karl was involved throughout the project to oversee on a regular basis that the backyard was coming together as designed and providing solutions and potential improvements as the construction progressed, all to ensure our satisfaction was met.We are delighted with the transformation of our backyard and Coastal Outdoor Construction was completely integral to that. We have received so many compliments on how well our backyard has improved, and we definitely agree! Best of all our project was delivered on time and under budget! We now have a whole host of future projects that we are excited to get Karl started on! I enthusiastically recommend Coastal Outdoor Construction for any outdoor project.

    One of the things missing in our back yard was a space to entertain and relax. All we had was a steep step down and grass, and an uneven concrete pad that extended from an old driveway.We decided to upgrade our driveway with pavers, all the way to the back yard to our detached garage, along with a big back deck.The team worked with us on a back deck and the driveway design that maximized the potential we had.The pavers replaced the clunky and uneven concrete. Coupled with the new deck, we doubled the size of our outdoor space without sacrificing the grass in our back yard.The deck is flush with our back door, eliminating the steep steps we had before.The finished product has added an invaluable space that we use daily. I cant imagine life without it. Construction was quick, and the finished product exceeded our expectations.

    Coastal Outdoor Construction did a fantastic job installing the 400 SQFT. paver patio in my backyard. I am so happy we decided to add the pergola as well. It really ads a nice spot to sit on the summer days. I highly recommend this company!

    These guys are awesome!! Highly recommend. We spent over a year contacting different contractors for our deck replacement, decided to go with Coastal, and are so happy we did!     We have done business with this company on two occasions. We have been extremely pleased with the results of both jobs. We had new fencing constructed and a new driveway installed. The workmanship is superior and the materials used are first rate. These folks show up when scheduled and complete the job without delay. They are friendly, professional and display an excellent work ethic. If you are in need of any of the services they provide then give serious consideration to using them.     I hired Karl and Coastal Outdoor Construction to build my pergola. I explained what I was looking for and marked the location were I wanted it built.     I was very pleased with how our wood fence turned out. They replaced a 400+ foot fence along the side of our property. The fence is much straighter, more level, and nicer looking than the original fence it replaced.Karl also had a great idea to install a rot board on the bottom of the fence, which should give it greater longevity, as our old fence was rotting from the ground up due to moisture from the ground.The guys on his crew were respectful of our property and cleaned up everything nicely when they were done. I would definitely call them again for any fence issues. I am currently planning on having them do other projects for us.I would use them again and will recommend to friends.

    From start to finish our experience with Coastal Outdoor Construction was exceptional. We received estimates from many other companies for our new composite deck and chose Coastal for not only their price, but for their helpfulness in explaining products to us and their responsiveness. Ivy was a pleasure to work with and her assistance with designing our deck was outstanding. Karl, Dave and crew worked as a well oiled machine and built our deck on time and with attention to detail. We loved their suggestion of adding deck lighting. We are beyond thrilled with our new deck!

    Coastal Outdoor Construction transformed and overhauled my backyard and I couldnt be happier. They installed a new fence around my property, including an amazing double gate for access. Karl designed the concrete patio which fully encompassed the length of the house, leveling it so the yard, and also giving me a backyard driveway to park my boat, as well as a pad for a future backyard shed. (the mess in the picture is from the interior contractors, not COC) My backyard patio has so much more usable space and my wife and kids love it. I happily recommend Coastal Outdoor Construction to all of my friends because they do fantastic work.

    Brandon, Shawn and Eric were amazing. These boys jumped into a difficult situation with a positive attitude and were a delight to get to know. Knew exactly what they were doing and were professional and personable. Love love love this company and we would hire them in a second for any further work. Shawn also repaired a fence panel for my mother and she adores his work and honesty. . We would highly recommend them for any of your fencing need.

    Highly recommend Coastal for your outdoor carpentry project. I needed to have an outdoor wooden staircase replaced due to wood rot. Coastal was suggested to me by a friend and Im sure glad they did. Karl, the owner, came out for a quote as scheduled. He helped with the design and suggested a composite decking and stainless wire railing system. He thoroughly explained the job and provided a quote within a couple days. His price was much better than the previous two companies I had provide a quote. I was put on the schedule for about 2 months out. They showed up when they were supposed to. Crew was very courteous and professional. Cleaned up every day. They completed in the allotted time. Karl did a walk through of the completed job to show off his teams work. We had a few minor punch list items that completed in the following weeks after. He kept his word, performed the work as stated, and charged me what he quoted. Cant beat that service now in days. I have received many compliments on the completed stairs and plan to use Coastal in the future.

    Coastal LLC just left after installing a custom deck for us. The quote we received was honored and the work was done in the time frame they quoted. They beat the competition price and was one of the few that actually showed up to do the quote. The work and quality of materials is great. The staff was helpful and detailed in what they were going to do and I could not be happier.     UPDATE: Today the second team arrived to do the pavers.Like the first team, these are the highest caliber professionals. Its one thing to have a great finished product, but its even nicer knowing the kind of quality workmanship that goes into that final product. When it comes to doing it right, Coastal Outdoor Construction nails it - whether its a pergola or pavers. ORIGINAL: Watching this team put up our pergola is a true pleasure. Its immediately evident why this company gets so many five star reviews; they absolutely earn them. The quality of their work is top notch, and so is the way they do the work. Four guys working together like a well-oiled machine. Were really pleased with the pergola they built us, and sincerely appreciate the hard work they put into it.

    Coastal did a great job with taking down my chainlink fence and replacing it with a wood fence. They answered the phone every time I called. They gave me a quote on the spot (I didnt have to chase them down for the estimate). They came on time and completed the job quickly. They gave me their professional opinion with some of the more custom parts of my gate. They matched part of my gate to my existing deck perfectly. A few months later part of my gate started to drag and they immediately came out to adjust it. Very nice people. A great experience overall!

    Brandon and Karl are fantastic to work with. We had some...unique issues with our project requiring a whole lot of interaction with the city before being permitted to build our pergola. Brandon and Karl hung with us (for literally a year of dealing with the city!) and were there to work with us all the way through to get what we needed and do what was right for us. Additionally they were the only contractor who didn’t just want to roll out a generic pergola and were working with us to get exactly what we wanted, and it definitely stands out! Once we finally got under way, they showed up on the dot when they said they would and jumped right to work.We had a couple other issues because of course we would. Karl helped us find quick and easy corrections to make sure everything worked out. We’re more than happy and are excited for them to come back and do a few more things. Don’t hesitate!
