    Joe and the team from J&K were fantastic to work with. We replaced our damaged aluminum siding with James Hardy Plank siding and it turned out better than we could have hoped for.     I am very happy and satisfied with the workmanship and professionalism of J & K Home Improvement and Restoration. The roof, siding, gutters, and downspouts on our house were damaged by a severe hail storm that hit my area on February 27, 2024. We also had water damage in one of our bedrooms as a result of the damage to the roof. J & Ks Project Manager (Joe) was great!! The roofers, siding specialists, gutter & downspout workers, and painters were great and did excellent work. J & K helped us file a claim with our insurance company. J & K worked with our insurance company to ensure we received an estimate that covered all of the repairs. J & K helped us select GAF shingles for the new roof, James Hardie siding, gutters, downspouts, and Benjamin Moore Aura interior paint. J & K went the second mile to help us and completely repair our house to our satisfaction. We are very happy with J & K and their teams. They were great!!

    Our home was damaged in a storm in May. We chose to go with J& K Home Improvement for all our needs over numerous other contractors: roof, siding, gutters, downspouts, and window wraps. We could not be happier that we did. From start to finish all the teams, led by Joe Kim, were professional and very skilled. All of them seemed to enjoy their work and working with each other. Once their work was complete they did an excellent job cleaning up the job site. The work was completed as promised-on time, and on budget. Joe Kim was excellent as the project manager. He provided insight on all the products and made beneficial suggestions that helped us with our final choices. He was always available for questions and was on-sight regularly to oversee the project. At the completion of each work phase Joe was there to inspect it and answer any questions. He did the same immediately after the last phase was completed.     An exceedingly efficient project was managed by Justin Garcia. He performed the inspection of our roof after a high wind storm hit our neighborhood a few weeks ago. The storm related damage was estimated from Justin’s pictures and report, and J & K submitted the estimate to the insurance company. It was not a surprise that the insurer would not cover the damage cost based on Justin’s honest advice during the inspection. Justin arranged a very timely repair service performed by an experienced J&K roofing contractor (Miner/Minor), and subsequently came back to inspect the completed work and document it through pictures. Without hesitation, I would recommend Justin and J&K for any exterior services needed. Justin is punctual and keeps his commitments.

    I cant say enough good things about J&K Home Improvement and Restoration! We recently needed a roof replacement, siding replacement and repair, and gutter and downspout replacement due to some storm damage. From the very beginning, J&K impressed us with their reputation, and backed it all up with their execution.Our sales representative, Joe, was fantastic. He was professional, courteous, and incredibly knowledgeable. Unlike some other contractors we spoke with, Joe wasnt pushy, questionable, or aggressive at all. He patiently explained everything and was very understanding that we were getting quotes from other companies. What truly set him apart was his expertise in dealing with unique insurance claim situations, his transparency, and even his advice! He was able to answer all our questions and made the entire process much smoother, and made us feel like he had our best interest in mind.Once we decided to go with J&K, the work itself went incredibly well. The workers were prompt, efficient, and completed the entire project – roof, siding, and gutters – within the span of a week! We were very impressed with their professionalism and the quality of their work.Joe didnt just disappear after the sale either.     Excellent Work! They helped replace siding, soffit and trim around a weathered dormer window on my 1948 home. Mr. Kim took the time to really understand what I wanted and made sure the work was done with care and quality. I felt confident the end result would be Excellent.     Working with Joe Kim of J&K Home Improvement & Restoration was a pleasure. This was my first time having a new roof, so I had trouble deciding on a color. He brought out larger samples, which greatly helped, and I love my chosen color. Joe’s communication, responsiveness, and caring about customer satisfaction went above and beyond my expectations.I’m very happy with the process, from filing the hail damage claim, color selection, and roof removal/replacement to fixing minor siding clean-up issues. The roofing crew was pleasant and very respectful of my property, covering all bushes and areas that could be in the line of flying debris. They worked all day and didn’t leave until they had everything cleaned up and had me walk around to inspect.     J&K recently replaced my roof and they did an EXCELLENT job. The entire process was seamless and James did a superb job explaining the process and all applicable details from start to finish. He even came out on his own time to do additional inspections and provide his subject matter expertise and what needed to be done and how.     From the day we were introduced to J&K by our home insurer, we were very impressed. John assisted us by promptly providing the necessary information to our insurer to get the claim successfully addressed. He guided us through the material selection process for the roof, siding, and gutters, and coordinated the ordering of materials and the scheduling of the necessary tear-off and replacement activities. Everything went according to the established schedule. The work was of high quality, and John promptly responded to and enthusiastically addressed every question and area of concern that we had. We were particularly impressed with J&Ks employees friendliness, courtesy, work ethic, and attention to detail. And, finally, given the extreme heat we have been experiencing this summer, I am very happy to note that John expressed concern for the welfare of the workers, and he accommodated their requests for breaks even though it was likely disruptive to the overall schedule.     Some of our vinyl siding appeared to be popping out so we requested a quote for repairing it. John happened to be in our area for another job so he swung by to take a look and fixed it for us at no charge since it was a quick fix. He even recommended some things we can do ourselves to maintain some other planks that are chipped without having to replace the full thing. That was very generous and we was very professional and knowledgeable. Will definitely go back to J & K if we ever need more work done on our siding or roof.

    This company was recommended by my insurance company to correct the errors and sloppy workmanship caused by the company I originally hired to handle renovations needed when water damaged the floors in my home. The previous company damaged doors and several pieces of trim and after installing a new floor, damaged a few areas of the new floor. There were several areas that were caulked sloppily and some pieces of trim had been reinstalled but were now too short. I believe the original company damaged the bottom of the trim and then cut off the damaged area and used caulk to fill in the gap.My insurance company asked John Lee from J & K for an estimate to correct the issues. John took pictures of all the items requiring repairs. He submitted a quote to the insurance company which was approved. John accompanied the crew and went over all the things that needed attention. His men took care to protect my floors while they replaced and painted trim. The crew did impeccable work and cleaned everything up nicely. I wish J & K had been hired to do the restoration in the first place. I highly recommend John and his crew. They were outstanding!

    John came out and performed an inspection after a recent windstorm. Later that day, John had his foreman come out and tarp the roof in case it rained. Once the insurance company estimated for the roof, J&K came out in an extremely timely manner and had my roof replaced in 1 day. the next day, they came out and replaced all of the gutters. John then followed up to inspect the job and sent in the revisions to the insurance company. Every one of their employees was professional, courteous, and hard working. I couldnt be happier!     Can’t say enough good things about J&K Home improvement. James Fisher was absolutely amazing from start to finish. Everything was explained thoroughly and clearly. James kept in touch and made sure any questions we had were answered promptly. We were even able to change our roof color choice fairly late in the process. Job completion was on exact promised day and was finished within hours and the results are outstanding. James even helped us to fix a side vent/trim that had been coming loose.     I was blown away by the professionalism and care from J&K Home Improvement. Mike made it a point to meet me in person and discuss the entire proposal understanding I knew next to nothing about roofs. The other three competitors did none of this. Mike went over each and every detail about the job. When it came to the actual installation, the crew showed up at 7:30AM and didnt leave the job site until every scrap in the yard was picked up ending at approximately 8:30PM. They hustled all day to ensure the job was done within a day and it was greatly appreciated. I also appreciated that this work wasnt subcontracted out like some other companies do. Mike came back the next day and got up on the roof to check everything out. Mike answered questions promptly, was present on site, and made sure I felt comfortable with every decision made. Mr. John Lee came to see me for the initial consultation, providing invaluable information about the quality of the various selections. He kept me abreast of expected timelines and scheduling, always checking via phone/email for any questions I had and answering every text/email/ phone call promptly.The crews for the roofing/siding/ gutters were all punctual, respectful of my property and wanted to make sure at every step of the process that I was pleased with their work. Mike contacted me and came to my house and did a thorough inspection and provided his recommendations. The price was very reasonable so I agreed to move forward.     The team at J&K did a great job handling the replacement of our windows. Mike did a fantastic job communicating with us and following up afterward to make sure all went well. We had one window that failed this winter (a manufacturing defect) and Mike made the process quick and easy to get the damaged pane swapped out.     I selected J&K due to extensive storm damage to my house. The Project Manager/Leader, Joe Kim, was responsive, detailed and communicated effectively during the ENTIRE process.     We first went to J&K for a new roof. They did a great job. After the job, we found trash in the yard from the roofer and called them about it. They came back right away and picked up all the trash. We went back to them this year to replace our old cedar siding with Hardie board. Again they did a great job. The pricing is fair and if you’re not happy with the work, they try their best to resolve it. The project manager was very on top of things too. I highly recommend using J&K.

    Latest Update 04/28/2019:J&K are by far the best contractor Ive worked with over the last couple of years. I purchased a 1930 home back in 2017, and it needed a lot of fixing up including a new roof. I requested four roofing bids. J&K wasnt the cheapest, but they were also not the most expensive. So why did I choose them? I was lucky enough to be connected with J&K employee, John Lee. He provides care, quality, thoroughness, honesty, responsiveness, expertise, and customer service above and beyond -- time and time again. November 2018, I had some large tree branches fall on my home and wreck my corner gutter. J&K quickly responded with a fair quote and took care of the job quickly. March 2019, as I began prepping my attic for insulation, I noticed a couple of leaks. I reached out to John Lee one Sunday evening, and he responded first thing Monday morning.     Cant say enough good things about these folks. Joe was our service writer and provided the estimate. He is very knowledgable and efficient we had a pretty simple roofing project so we had a quote next day. J&K came highly recommended through USAA and we are extremely satisfied with their work. Crew arrived early in the day and put covers over all of our flower beds and moved some items out of the way of debris.     Working with John was one of the best experiences we have had in our new home.From the start, John was our advocate. We moved into a home with roof damage and were not aware of the scope of the issues until John got involved. From our first meeting to the moment the job was completed John and his team made themselves available to us for any questions or issues we may have. This was our first experience with a large home repair and John made the process so incredible easy. He waited twice out front of our home for the insurance inspectors (which were late both times) to make sure he was present for any issues or questions. After the insurance started the process John had us scheduled within a week. He explained the process in such incredible detail that we didnt have to ask questions because he had answered them before we had them. His team worked with us to ensure we understood how the install would go day of. They checked in with us periodically to keep us up to date on the progress. Day of the install His team was professional and on time. They worked incredibly hard to complete the project correct and in a timely manner. This was a particularly windy day and him team walked houses down to make sure there was no trash or supplies that had been blown away. After the project was completed, they walked the yard 3times to ensure there were no nails or debris. The day after the install, the project manager came to our home and inspected the roof and grounds to once again make sure our yard was safe and debris free.     A garage roof leak led to some wet wood hidden within one wall (The garage is fully dry-walled.) which in turn led to a carpenter ant infestation that also stayed hidden until it was too late. Significant water and ant damage required repair to framing members, replacement of insulation and drywall, and replacement of a low-slope modified bitumen roof. (Including some of the sheathing and fascia boards.)I lined up an independent carpenter and a separate roofing company, and I know they could have done the job, but I’d have had to coordinate two contractors on a job where there could not be any delay between the carpentry work and the roof replacement, and I didn’t want that hassle. As a general contractor, J&K had all of the trades needed for the job, and since my son recommended them to me after having them do some work on his home, I let them handle everything.J&K was responsive to my request for quote. James immediately came over to look at the job and soon thereafter submitted a quote with enough detail to convince me that he understood all that would need to be done. That gave me confidence.I’m experienced enough to know the difference between very good work and merely adequate (or worse!) and they did very good work for a fair price. Yes, I recommend them.

With others I would get you dont want that, what you want is this (higher margin material) that they happen to have.J & K is Master Elite certified in installing the GAF roofing system and it showed.     As I prepared to write my review I read other ratings and reviews and saw 5 Star ratings from everyone who submitted one. A testament to the quality and excellent service provided. It started from my initial contact with JOE KIM. Through interactions with him I knew J & K Home Improvement was a winner. I would give him, and J & K Home Improvement 5 Stars for Quality of Service, Quality of Work, and Quality of Price, and given that the quality and integrity of any company is measured through its staff I am firmly committed to the 5 Star Rating given.

    We learned about J&K Home Improvement through our insurance company after a hail storm back in 2019. They came out, assessed the damage and got the work done quickly. They even went out of the way to help find and replace our aluminum shutters (which were no longer made) with custom made shutters. As for follow up, we had problems with a patio door about 1.5 years later that we thought might have been damaged due to the roof replacement. We reached out to J&K and they came out right away to have a look. They diagnosed the problem (not from the roof) and were able to quick fix it for us. Both times we used them Steve Kightlinger was our contact and he was fabulous. Easily accessible, very responsive, great with the kids and dog. You could tell he cares. We have been very happy with J&K both times we needed them and would recommend them if you need work done on your home.

    John Lee with J & K has excellent communication, listening and follow-up skills. The roof installation crew worked very hard and installed a replacement roof much better than the original. The gutter and downspout crews installation is also much better than the original. We highly recommend J & K

    Cant ask for more when hiring for any home improvement projects. They treat you like family and takes cxare of the smallest details and are very transparent in their pricing as well. They never rip you off for their own benefit because they genuinely care about you and your home. They appear to take pride in their work and it shows. I highly recommend J & K!
