    My fiancée and I recently bought an older home and are finding all the little fixes the previous owners did (or did not) opt for. We were aware that there were 4 pressurized support piers already installed on 2 corners of our house by ABC, and within the first year of living here, we were noticing a signification amount of cracking and a large hole had developed under one of the glass block basement windows. I decided to call ABC back out and see if there was anything they could recommend us to do- that was the best decision I’ve made!ABC has been nothing short of exceptional. Bill came out to take a look and explained what the piers do, how theyre installed, the appropriate amount of shifting allowed, etc. He was patient and fully answered every single one of my questions. He also let us know that they had recommended 3 additional be placed with the originals, but the previous owner did not go forward with it. He eased my mind that the house is not going to fall in the immediate future, but was clear this will be an important fix and detailed how they would do it, without pressuring me at all. He said a crew would come out at no charge to fill the cracks and patch the hole so we can continue monitoring. The very next day, Nick came to our house and completed the job within 45 minutes. I also got my free estimate within 24hrs for the additional piers.Both employees were personable and kind with years of experience with ABC, and you could tell they like the company they work for.We will definitely be moving forward with the additional piers for our house, and will recommend their other services to our friends and family!Thank you!!

    I purchased a home in early 2023, which came with a nicely finished basement. However, during the heavy rain season, I started noticing a swooshing sound under the vinyl plank flooring, indicating that water was seeping into my basement. Even a small amount of water can be problematic in a basement.After researching the potential costs of fixing this issue, I found estimates up to $10,000. I decided to get quotes from four local contractors specializing in basement waterproofing. The first company, A Better Choice, scheduled a visit promptly and provided a thorough inspection and reasonable estimate. They explained the cause of the water ingress and how foundations work, recommending a simple drainage system without unnecessary extras.The other three contractors, despite offering the same service, quoted significantly higher prices - $9,000, $7,000, and $6,000 - due to their larger size and advertising expenses, and attempted to upsell additional, unnecessary features.Ultimately, I chose A Better Choice, attracted by their reasonable approach and lifetime guarantee against basement water ingress. They respected my request to minimize damage to my drywall during the installation.Unfortunately, water seeped into my basement again two weeks later. Upon contacting A Better Choice, they promptly investigated and discovered moisture was coming from higher up the wall, a problem not apparent during the initial work due to my request to limit wall cutting. They honored their guarantee, returning to install a moisture barrier that effectively channeled any moisture into the drainage system, resolving the issue at no extra cost.I am now confident in the dryness of my basement and grateful for the integrity and professionalism of A Better Choice.     I had ABC install an interior French drain about 6 months ago. They were by far the best priced. Not pushy at all and did efficient quality work. I was in the middle of finishing my basement when we realized we had a water issue. ABC got the job done and the system has worked like a charm.

    I recently moved in to my first house and quickly came to discover that the basement wall was beginning to collapse. I was referred to ABC waterproofing, and scheduled to have Anthony come and take a look. He immediately recognized that a repair wasn’t going to do the job and told me it would need a full rebuild, which ABC wasn’t able to execute at this time. However, he was super friendly and helpful in offering to take a look around and give me an idea of what I could expect to hear from any masons I might end up dealing with. He even estimated what I could expect to pay. Before he left he told me to call him if I had any questions throughout the process. I took him for his word and called him after I had a few offers. He did not fail to live up to his promise and give me his honest, unbiased, and professional opinion while having nothing to gain from it. I’ve hired a mason based on Anthony’s help, and tomorrow they will have completely fixed my problem.I may not be able to speak for ABC waterproofing’s quality of work, but I can speak as to their quality of workers. These are the kind of people I want to deal with and give my money to. If I ever have a job that falls under the services that ABC waterproofing provides, I will not hesitate to call them!

    Our house has been sinking due to ground settlement over the years. We contracted with A Better Choice to investigate and recommend corrections for the problem. They recommended the placement of 6 piers in our basement to support the foundation. I agreed with them and contracted the work with them. They completed the task of installing these piers which extended over 20 feet into the ground in two days. The workers were among the hardest working team of individuals that I have seen. I was amazed that the job was completed in two days. Their work was excellent and I would recommend them to anyone.

    We had ABC recommended to us a few years ago when we had some waterproofing issues and they have never disappointed. Weve used them for a French drain / sump pump installation among other visits. Weve worked with Bill and his team (most recently, Josh), and the experience has consistently great.Theyre an enjoyable bunch that seem to genuinely enjoy what they do. Their work has always been good, the pricing has always been fair, and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone who has waterproofing needs.

    So I was looking to buy a house and found the perfect one.. except it had a leaky basement. So I asked around work and friends and everyone told me to call A Better Choice. When I did, the person I spoke with was so nice. They sent out an inspector so quickly and worked around my schedule. The inspector was awesome! He explained why the water was coming in and where it was coming from. He never pressured me to buy off of him (like the other companies did) So after I bought the house I had A Better Choice come in and do an internal French drain with 2 pumps. I’ve never seen a drop of water!! Because of them I have my man cave I’ve always wanted! I HIGHLY recommend them to everyone!

    I wish is could give 6 stars. Holy cow! A Better Choice was referred to me by a friend in my time of desperation. Anthony answered the phone at 7pm to take my call. He was so sweet and listened to every concern I had and spoke to me in a way I understood. He Came out the next morning and gave the estimate and everything from there was seamless. The guys were just here replacing our internal drain system and installed a sump pump. They were extremely professional and informed me every step of the way. They showed up on time and cleaned everything up as should be. They even helped me move my trash cans down to the street 😉 I would recommend A Better Choice to literally anyone! I am so happy to have found this wonderful, amazing company!

    This company did interior drains in my basement and garage and installed a sub pump last year. It was done in a timely professional manner and I haven’t had a drip of water anywhere! Last week, I called because of an exterior water issue. Within 2 days they came out to assess the problem and 3 days later sent out a knowledgeable hard working crew that remedied the issue in a matter of hours. It is apparent that this company cares about their customers and the quality of their work. I would recommend this waterproofing company 100%!

    Richard Pack, the owner, arrived on time and was very professional. We went to our basement to examine the leakage in one corner of our basement. Then we took a trip outside to let Richard inspect where the water was coming in.After the inspection, he promptly came up with his plan to deal with the leakage. We signed the contract and his crew of 3 arrived early next week as we were told.The crew was professional and answered all my questions each step of the project.It took 2 days to complete the project instead of 1 because more damage was discovered after the 2 leaking interior walls were removed. Even though Richard thought that 2 reinforcing beams would work (he didnt see the damage after the interior walls were removed ) his foreman thought it better to install 4 beams.The boss deferred to his foreman!. How refreshing. I was so impressed with the crew that I gave each of them a tip for their hard work.The work was completed as expected and several months later all is well and our basement is dry. I was surprised at how much water is being removed to the outside by the system they installed.This is a great company to work with, especially this size of a project and one where the home owner was dealing with quite a bit of stress over the situation.     A Better Choice was exactly what they claim to be. They were responsive and professional. They performed foundation peiring to correct a sinking corner of our house. The corner had an open crack that you could see outside through and it was causing our basement door to not open. After the peirs were installed the crack was gone and our door was back to normal. They were quicker than we could have ever imagined and cleaned up really well. Very non invasive and by far a way less stressful process than we imagined.

    So I had a wall that was bowing and A Better Choice was referred to me from a friend so I gave them a call and wow. The customer service experience that I endured when I called completely blew me away. They were so personable and professional I couldn’t believe it. So I told them what was going on and they sent someone out quickly and looked everything over then we scheduled the job. They came out and installed fortress carbon fiber Kevlar straps on the wall in a decent amount of time then the inspector came out quickly and showed up on time and everything was perfect. Never dealt with any company quite like this and I will 100% use them again and refer them to all my family and friends.

    A LIFESAVER!When getting ready to put my aunts house on the market the rain didnt stop and her basement leaked. I was desperate. Luckily my real estate agent Cheryl Cook rescued me by suggesting A Better Choice Inc. in Irwin. I made an appointment with Rick the owner, he even met me on a Sunday. We had a problem with piping in the floor so he suggested an above ground system and sump pump and quoted a reasonable price. Although the house sold quickly Rick managed to schedule the work before the closing to accommodate my schedule. The order even had to be changed to install the sump pump outside involving more work & time on their part. But this company still kept to their original price quote. Amazing!. And what a wonderful job including a warranty for the new buyer too. Definitely a 5 star company for any water problems.
