    Wow. Garrett is AWESOME. We first met him when he came out to help us with a drain pipe that kept backing up. He re-engineered it so itd be less likely to clog and put in a cleanout. We had him come back to provide a roof vent for the drain, too -- solving a problem introduced by our original plumber. When we heard that he also did NG work, we were thrilled. He just finished plumbing our new NG grill and an outdoor fire bowl. Hes professional, communicative, timely, and affable. You wont find a better person to work on your plumbing or heating!

    Nobody likes to have to call a plumber, but I am happy to recommend Blue Jay Plumbing & Heating. Garrett and his team have done several recent plumbing jobs for me, including replacing my hot water heater when it failed. In each instance, Garrett and his team were prompt and professional, showed up when scheduled, did great work, left the place tidy, and came in at or a bit below their estimate. In addition, Garrett is an excellent communicator, returning calls and texts and discussing in detail the work that needs to be done and how it will be accomplished. I trust Blue Jay Plumbing & Heating, I am very satisfied with the work they have done for me, and I recommend them highly.

    Garrett Jay is a top notch plumber. Hes done extensive re-plumbing work on our 200+ year old house, off and on for the past 2.5 yrs. Hes been an excellent communicator throughout the multiphase process. He and crew consistently show up on schedule, perform the work quickly, using best practices, and for a fair price. Garrett is also a good human being and nice to have around. Which matters. As a carpenter whos been working in the trades for over 25 years, having worked in 3 states and multiple foreign countries, Ive witnessed quite a spectrum of talent and lack thereof.     Garrett is great, he was able to repair rather than replace parts of our very old fuel oil furnace. When we kept hearing pipe knocks, he came back and bled the lines very well. Its great to work with one person rather than a big corporate group.

    Garrett and his staff did more work for me last November 2023 and this month. They always do an excellent job. They are skilled, professional, knowledgeable and really nice people! I highly recommend this business!!Garrett is amazing. He provided services in my home a few years ago when he worked for someone else. I didnt even realize he was back in town until another business referred him to me. He responded right away and set up a time to evaluate the problem I was having with my air conditioning system. He addressed the issue and saved me tons of money. He is honest, thorough, skilled, explains everything step by step, has reasonable prices, and always tries to do whats best for the customer.     Garrett Jay is hands down the most reliable, courteous, professional and prompt gentleman you could possibly hope for. My late father utilized his services, and he has done work on my home both before I acquired it and since I moved in. He has saved the day, every time, with AC issues, furnace problems and plumbing dysfunctions. Most recently, my MIL needed a secondary heat source installed in her wood stove heated farm house, with time being of the essence. Thanks to Garretts extensive knowledge of all things heating and his passion for serving his community as promptly as possible, he beautifully installed propane heating in her home right before Christmas. Thanks to Garrett, my MIL was able to travel to NC in time to be by her sisters side before she passed on. He has always gone above and beyond for his community, and I cannot speak enough of his professionalism, prompt service, and ability to relay to his customers exactly what the problem is and how he is going to repair/install it. You would be hard pressed to find another owner operated company that loves his community and always brings his A game to everyone I know who uses his services (and there are many!) This man is the one you want to call if you ever have any heating/cooling/plumbing issues. Hell get the job done, often times even stopping by after the job is done just to make sure everything is running smoothly like he did for my MIL. His prices are fair, and hes also just a really nice guy. Youre a gem Garrett, thank you for serving our community with dedication and love!

    Our old house needed a bunch of plumbing/heating work after we moved in -- a new hose bib, a toilet repair, and boiler repair/maintenance. I had a hard time finding anyone to fix these in a reasonable time frame before I called Blue Jay. Garrett and his crew have been fantastic. They explain their work, order specialty parts quickly, show up when they say they will, and remain in contact. They also are kind and personable!

    Garrett is outstanding! He installed a pump system and two utility sinks for our business and they work perfectly.He came to do a walkthrough and estimate, explaining what would need to be done and answered all our questions. He is professional, honest and diligent. The work was done in a timely manor for a reasonable price and the site cleaned. It is obvious he takes great pride in his work. I cannot recommend him highly enough. He is our go-to plumber for all future plumbing projects.

    Garrett is a skilled plumber and a really nice guy. He built all the piping for my municipal water hook up and helped with both kitchen and bathroom plumbing.     Garrett was referred to me by a friend when our furnace stopped working yesterday afternoon. He was amazing! He returned my call promptly AND went that evening to fix my furnace- on a Saturday night! Not only did he fix several problems with the furnace, he also gave us a detailed account of each issue, including ones we’ll need to take care of before next winter.     Garrett responded quickly to our request for assistance and did a very professional and neat job of reconfiguring some old farmhouse plumbing under a sink. We appreciate his knowledge and work ethic of not doing a job unless it is done correctly and as perfectly as possible. On top of that we enjoyed his company.     Professionalism. Excellence. Timeliness is the claim on Garretts useful website: all very true, plus thoughtfulness, clarity and very fair pricing! Our well pump shorted out as we were shocking it with chlorine for bacteria, and we were without water. We called Garrett and he came the next morning, clearly explained all the options and estimated costs, and pulled the 100 deep pump. That afternoon he was back with the new pump and had it up and running. This was all an unexpected part of a project being done by another company to replace a failed filtration system, which later led to Garrett replacing kitchen and bathroom faucets. He has been a delight to work with, and we have absolute confidence in his skill and integrity.

    I would highly recommend Garrett at Blue Jay Plumbing and Heating to anyone. My husband and I have a fuel oil boiler which we have had issues with for a couple of years now. We have had a very difficult time finding someone who knew enough about them to correct the problems. He did a very thorough job servicing/repairing multiple issues. He spent over 6 hours (not including travel time) on our boiler. It was a total mess. He was very flexible with our work schedules as well which helped a lot. We called him late on a Thursday and he was able to come help us out the very next day. Thanks again, Garrett!

    EXCELLENTCalled Garrett he came over that day. Our hot water heater had not worked in over 2 weeks. We Are a gym and need the hot water for the showers.     Garrett is extremely helpful, responsive, and skilled. We first called him about a leak near our hot water heater. He was willing to advise us before scheduling a time with him so that we could see if we could fix it ourselves. We could not, in fact we were totally wrong about what the problem was. It was easy to schedule an appointment with him and he even showed up early! He walked in and immediately knew what was wrong and how to fix it. He ordered the parts and fixed it the next day. Issue totally resolved! Two weeks later we were filling the kids bath and orange sludge started filling the tub and the toilet started bubbling. Needless to say we were very concerned and called him. It was after 8pm on a weeknight so unfortunately we were interrupting his dinner. He still told us hed be right over. He showed up and saved the day! He even stopped by the next day to follow up. Great service, we feel so happy to have found him! Definitely recommend.

    Great plumber, incredibly professional and willing to come over at any time to help fix a problem or troubleshoot an issue. Big or small, he does anything from fix leaks to install subsurface drainage and run water lines. Really knows his stuff around tankless hot water heaters as well. Garrett is a great guy and a great plumber!

    I called them for a problem of no water in an occupied rental home. They were extremely busy so couldnt come immediately but were kind enough to spend quite a bit of time on the phone walking me through troubleshooting until the problem was fixed.     I called this place at 7pm, two days before Xmas, expecting to leave a voicemail. Not only did they answer, but I described the issue I was having, they asked a few questions, and then told me a couple simple things to try myself. I did, and it fixed the problem I’d had for several months. I told my sister, who’d been having the same issue, and it fixed her toilet as well! I will definitely call this biz if I ever have any plumbing or heating issues I can’t handle myself. I don’t generally leave reviews, but since I didn’t actually hire this business yet they helped me immensely, I felt it was the least I could do! Thanks!

    Garrett and his crew are top notch. After a recommendation from a friend, I gave them a call. Not many people were willing to work during a Christmas eve plumbing emergency.     I have been 100% pleased with the work I’ve had done by Garrett Jay, of Blue Jay plumbing & heating. He does not do anything that does not need to be done, like those less scrupulous. What he does do, he takes pride in. I’m not sure how to say his work is beautiful, but his attention to detail, and his product use are quality materials that will give years of service. His workmanship is actually beautiful. I tend to be analytical & I’ve analyzed his work and found it to be excellent. It is quality in every way, right up there with Garrett’s warm personality and willingness to explain anything I ask. I will use Garrett Jay for my work for as long as he will have me.
