    We came home after being away for several days, in the middle of a heat wave to find our house at 90°. A quick call and Jake came right out and helped us out. He was quick, efficient and most important extremely personable. He even took time to talk to us about our gas fireplace that we had questions about. 100% recommend!!!     I wanted to share with you the experience I had with Shoemaker Heating and Cooling.Jacob (the business owner) came to my house on time and was very thorough. He explained everything to me as I had several issues with my unit. He was here 4.5 hours!! Like I said, he was very thorough.My house when built was framed with roof on for months. The hurricane hit and we ended up with 8 ft of water in the basement. The unit was already there. Obviously, the builder had to replace the unit. But they never cleaned up and just put a new unit in the tray with an inch of mud. Jacob did his best to clean this up.Jacob also smelled gas when he walked in the room. I have smelled gas before and would investigate and then the smell would not be there. I thought I was going insane. It appears my gas value had a crack or something and was leaking. Thankfully, this part should be covered under warranty. But until it arrives and is installed. I have no heat. We are happy for these mild days.Jacob also found that the builder’s installer did not properly cut out the side of the furnace’s return air inlet. Pictures below. Jacob explained that my system was working as if a person had to breath out of a straw. It was greatly restricting the airflow through the furnace big time. Jacob fixed this but it was not easy. It was hard to get to everything after it was already installed.I was very happy with the service provided and signed up for the maintenance program. Just wanted to throw this out for any of you looking for a HVAC company and the issues we had.

    Jacob and his team replaced our water heater and ran a natural gas line to our new outdoor BBQ grill. They did an inspection for the work to be done and provided an estimate on the same day. The work order was very detailed. They came on time as scheduled to do the work a few days later. They were extremely efficient, professional and meticulous with their work. Everything was operating within a few hours and I was BBQing that night. Thanks a lot Shoemaker Heating and Cooling for your help. I would recommend them to everyone.

    My AC stopped working a couple days ago. The house got up to 86 degrees. I called after hours to leave a message, and a representative called me back right away to schedule. I was told someone would be out first thing in the morning between 8-10. I received confirmation of the appointment via text that night and a text in the morning that Hunter Erb was on his way. They arrived around 7:45. The two technicians put shoe covers on before they even came inside. They were professional and got the AC working again within the hour. It was a bad capacitor. I will definitely use them again. Everything was seamless and professional. I appreciated that they came out so quickly with the hot weather.

    I needed to find a business to service my mothers non functioning oil furnace system. As of today, Jacob has needed to come out 3 times since February 16th. He is fixing and adjusting everything still trying to make it function properly. Jacob is knowledgeable, thorough, and incredibly patient with us and our many questions. I am looking forward to not only having this issue resolved, but also having my own home switched from electric baseboard heat and no central air to a split system. When my mothers heater is working properly, I will update with the reason if I understand it. Regardless, I would definitely recommend Jacob and the Shoemaker team.UPDATE: At the risk of jinxing anything, I gladly and gratefully update to say everything is running beautifully with my moms heater. I signed up for the service plan, so hopefully, all that will be needed is preventative maintenance 😀 Very pleased with the service.

    The AC broke on the hottest day of the year. I called our regular service company, but their first available date was in 6 days. I know Jake from when he was a pro flat track racer and gave him a call. He was here that same evening and fixed the problem, straightened out some setup issues that I didnt know about, and gave the whole unit a general service and cleaning. Hes now our regular service company. Hell earn your highest rating as well!

Jacob was able to give me a higher quality, more efficient unit for my home and beat his competitors pricing. Jacob was patient with all of my questions. Unlike other companies, Jacob, the owner of the company, took a look at my situation and personally provided a quote. He brought a few things to my attention that other companies missed or overlooked. His bid was very competitive. It was clear that he is knowledgeable and passionate about his work. The installation went smoothly. Jacob and his team exceeded my expectations. They even were particular mindful about working around our 11 month old baby the best they could at the time of installation.     I shopped several HVAC installers prior to choosing Shoemaker. I was super thrilled with the choice after the Bosch 2 heat pump and handler were installed. The install was neat and clean with excellent workmanship on time and on schedule. Many installers were not as experienced with this cutting edge efficient unit, but this installer does. The pricing for the install was fair and right to industry standards. We have been cold for several years in the house with the old heat pump so when I feel the warm air come out of the vents. WOW!!. And looking forward to cutting the bills in half. Already saw it on my first one. Thanks guys!!

    I recently had a new Bosch heat pump system installed by Jacob and could not be happier with the experience. Jacob answered my initial phone call immediately and spent several minutes on the phone patiently answering all my pre-sales questions. I arranged for him to come out and see my existing setup and provide a quote which he did the very next day. The price was extremely competitive and included several options that I could pick and choose from to customize things like air filters and humidifiers. The pricing was very straight forward... Just add the options you want to the base price, no special package discount games some contractors will play. Again I had some additional follow-up questions that were answered promptly. The entire install took about a day and a half and the workmanship and attention to detail was excellent. The pictures on his Facebook and Instagram pages REALLY are representative of the quality of work you will get. He and his assistant completed the work when they said they would and left the work area cleaner than they found it. I look forward to many years of great service from my new system.

I was almost without heat due to a big commercial oil company not being able to fix my boiler or supply the part needed to fix the boiler he came at 11 at night on a Friday and stayed until 1 making sure everything was running properly.     Jacob was hired to swap out a new toilet/sink and valves for a bathroom. This project grew very quickly after determining the pipes to the toilet were full of holes, other plumbing and subfloor issues. He was FANTASTIC that he accommodated and adapted to the situation immediately! In a week, he was able to replace everything from subfloor to the entire room, reframe a wall, add additional plumbing, install a new tub/shower combo and even move the radiator for a better fit!     Shoemaker Heating & Cooling was able to diagnose a bad fan bearing in our AC unit while all other HVAC service companies wanted to replace the complete unit ($10k+). Jacob and his team looked out for my families best interest and didnt charge us for unnecessary parts and service that wasnt needed.     Jake has worked on our geothermal units for years now, we wouldnt call anyone else. The pricing is always fair, and he has been there when we needed him for an after business-hours problem.     I contacted Jake just as a snow storm was coming and my heat wasn’t kicking in it turns out our thermostat wasn’t connecting with my geothermal system, he came out and figured out the issue in a few minutes and everything was working before I knew it. We also had him out to do maintenance and update our system in the fall and he was very knowledgeable about the system. Our previous hvac company came out and just replaced the filters, Jake understood the system and why it operates like it does and what is required for the system to operate correctly. If you have a hvac issue, particularly geothermal, and live in Chester County or the surrounding area I would absolutely recommend Jake as the person you should contact for service and routine maintenance

    Couldn’t have asked for better service from Jacob! We recently had to have an entire new hvac system installed after having issues with our old AC unit. Jacob came out to see what was going on, was professional, knowledgeable, and took the time to go over everything with us despite being late in the day. Two days later we were back in business with a brand new system. We will definitely be using Shoemaker heating and cooling for any future needs we may have and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to our family and friends!

    Very professional in doing this installation. Installed new Bosch 20 SEER heat pump with Ecobee thermostat. The work couldn’t have been any cleaner and the system is awesome! We could not be any happier, highly recommend.

    My furnace stopped working on a Saturday during one of the coldest days to date and I called a few different companies for emergency service. They all stated they would either call me back with a time or gave me a time and did not show up. I call Jacob on a Sunday morning and he answered and was out to service my furnace within two hours of my call. His service was professional, clean and fairly priced.     Thank you Jake! Our brand new oil tank had a faulty gauge and while it read we had have a tank, we ran out at 10pm New Years eve! The first thing on the 1st, Jake called me back to help walk me through adding more fuel and trying to get it going. When that did not work, he came out and serviced it to get it up and running again. Amazing service!
