    First off I want to point out today is Sunday of all days and of course our Old Hot Water Heater had to take a crap on the weekend of all days! I called several places before finding Dave at Chalmers Plumbing. I explained to him our situation, sent him some pictures amd within minutes he quoted me a price over the phone! Which some of the other places were not willing to do. His price beat the local competitors from the ones that did give a price, by $800! He was here within two hours and we now have an efficient Brand New Hot Water Heater and he saved us from having to call off work tomorrow to do it! Thank you Dave for saving the day! We will definitely be utilizing you for any future plumbing needs!! We highly recommend Dave for your plumbing needs!

    They did a great job. My sewer was backing up. I called them late in the evening, and they returned my call the following morning, and were out later that afternoon. They were quick, professional, and they cleaned up their workspace. I have had other companies come out for the same thing & they charge a fortune where these guys were reasonable. Again, great job!

    Dave and team were excellent, efficient and gave a very fair price for the work done. Had a new disposal install and an exterior hose bibb that they cut and repaired. Highly recommend and will definitely be my 1st call for any needed service!

    My parents are in Indiana, and I currently live in Utah. It was easy working with their team to get a quote and the installation work done. The pricing was fair with other companies I received bids from.He gave me a number over the phone, but did not write down a formal estimate. Even 7 weeks after the verbal estimate was given, he honored his word. No games, which was much appreciated!Though I did not work with him directly, my parents said the job was done efficiently and the people that showed up were nice/professional. I would recommend them and intend to work with them in the future.

    10/10 when they say they are 24/7 emergencies they are and they get back to you immediately. We had an emergency Sunday morning 6am they were out before 9am. Was able to provide services and help us with our issues. Haven’t had to use a plumber before but this will be our go to for now on!!!! Fair price and very knowledgeable!!

    I highly recommend this company when I tell you they are life savers I mean it. This past week we had a tornado/storm pass through most of NWI. My mother and I were without power from 10:30pm until 10:30am the following day. I was recommended this company by someone off the ring neighborhood app and I saw on here they were 24 hours I had my mom call while we kept trying to not let the basement flood all night from 10:30pm until about some time after 5am. David came out and was our life saver. My mom isn’t as young as she used to be and I have currently a lot of health issues going on. Long story short he was able to help us and installed a new and much better sub pump and a back up battery generator for us at a reasonable price. We thank you guys so much for helping us out from the bottom of our hearts. You guys made me feel like there really are still kind hearted people out there that are still like how “community” use to be.

    Finally found my go to plumber. Called about a leaking pipe on my hot water heater. Chalmers responded right away. Rectified the problem in no time at all, diagnosed a problem with the toilet and repaired that as well. Very nice, knowledgeable gentleman and pricing was unbelievably low compared to others.

    Called Dave about installing a hot water heater. We had been stood up by another company the day before which was a no show and no call. Dave was upfront about his pricing and was very reasonable. He was able to be at our home on the same afternoon. Very polite. My elderly Dad was shadowing him and asking all kinds of questions. Dave was very patient with him. Good prices. Great service. Would definitely use him again and recommend him to anyone looking for plumbing work!

    Dave came out the same day we called, he was accommodating with our schedule, arrived on time, polite, and was able to clear out our clog in the sewer line pretty quick. Cost was reasonable, and he also provided a warranty on their work. He was just out yesterday, and so far (after a big load of laundry and a couple showers) no water overflowing out of the basement drain like it was - so were hoping the problem was fixed. We would call them again and recommend their service!

    Dave returned my call on a Saturday morning within minutes and was out within the hour for a pipe leak problem we discovered. He was friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and was in and out.     I HIGHLY recommend! I called Dave about a clogged line that I previously hired another plumbing company out of Valpo to clear 2 months ago. They tried telling me that the cleanout line was too narrow and their 4 auger wouldnt fit. Dave had no problem clearing the many roots that were blocking the line inside the home and to the city main with a 4! He also guarantees his work for 6 months. He was polite, clean, and most importantly HONEST.. He quoted a rate before he came that was reasonable and that is what he charged. The last company I hired 2 months ago did not fix the issue. They were deceptive in their pricing and even charged to drive to and from the home without stating that up front when specifically asked if there would be any additional fees. I will definitely be using Dave Chalmers for all my future plumbing service needs. I will be recommending him to others I know as well!

    Quite happy with Chalmers! I used the messaging service through google and left a message stating that I needed my sewer line cleared of roots that clog my line every approximately 5 years. They promptly messaged back within minutes, gave me a good quote and replied when they could get to it, which for me was only a couple hours after messaging them! If that wasn’t enough, I was at work and they were able to contact me and handle the job without me being there. (I had clean out accessible and someone at house to run water for them.)In all, great experience, would definitely recommend and use in the future!

    This is long overdue , better late than never ! Christmas Eve we had a disaster with our disposal drain getting clogged to the point of backing up the pipe into our laundry room . Have known David since elementary school , so I prefer Giving business to friends, called him and explained the situation and even though it was Christmas Eve he still came out in an extremely important family holiday , just to make sure my family was issue free !     Last April I wrote a review on the site where I found this business (dont recall), but my daughter was explaining about writing a Google review, so I decided to do so in the expectation that more people would see it.I cannot give more kudos for the service, price, and just everything! He did the job of clearing a drain, and it seemed fine. Ran lots of water to make sure and all seemed good. A couple of days later it stopped up again. He came back (and it was on a Sunday afternoon!), fixed it (yes, been fine now ever since) and would not take anything additional, even though I offered! He said that he considered it part of the original for which I had paid. Integrity. Dont see often enough nowadays, but Matt certainly has it. Great job!

    We called Dave on Sunday morning for a clogged drain line causing our kitchen and bathroom sinks to back up. Dave promised to be at our house within an hour and was here exactly on time.He quickly diagnosed the problem and got to work. 30 mins later (or less), our drains were clog free and running smoothly.We were quoted a very reasonable flat fee, especially for an early Sunday morning call. NO EMERGENCY FEE CHARGED. Dave was polite, cleaned up after himself, and was in and out of our house before we even finished our morning coffee.We’ll definitely be calling Chalmers next time a plumbing issue comes up.     Water service line to my house was leaking and Dave had an idea what it was before he looked at it and he was right. Dave masterfully excavated between the house and a shed and kept a Comcast line intact even though it was in the way. Dave responded quickly and professionally. After this experience, Chalmers will always be my fist call for any plumbing issue.

    First, I called somewhere else but wasnt able to get an appointment until a week away. As a small business owner I need a working toilet ASAP for the public. So I googled plumbers near me and read all the amazing reviews about Chalmers Plumbing. Dave gave me an estimates quote over the phone and came to my business within 30-45mins. I was sold already with how quickly he was able to arrive. From what I thought was just a clogged toilet it turned into a bit bigger job than expected. He was able to fix the problem and I was never so happy to hear the noise of a toilet flushing. Dave was great! I will definitely be recommending Dave to others in need of some plumbing at a reasonable cost!

    David’s quick response time and professionalism make him a fantastic plumber to have on your side ! We had a problem occur late at night the other day with a water heater tank failing. After calling several other companies and leaving messages, he was the first to respond the next morning.     Chalmers Plumbing did an amazing job. Everyone listed above his name on the internet were booked until Wednesday & Thursday. The owner of the company came out on a SUNDAY & didn’t charge any extra for a Sunday! He was quick, professional, and knowledgeable about what exactly the problem was. Also, I have a 6 month warranty (sewer/tree roots) if anything else happens he will come out for free to rectify the issue. Let’s just say I’m saving them in my contacts. ❤️

    Called at 1:00 a.m. when my sump pump check valve failed. All the snow was melting filling the sump well. He returned the call quickly and was at my house in 20 minutes. Had the parts he needed on his truck. Replaced the sump check valve with a no knock valve. Its fixed and completely silent. And yes, this all took place at 1:00 a.m. on a Monday. We all know this stuff doesnt happen in the middle of the afternoon, so its good to know theres a plumber I can call in the middle of the night!

    He came when he said he would. He stayed until the kitchen sink drain was unclogged, which was no small task! He finally had to insert about 24 feet of his power snake before the clog was gone! His price was very reasonable too! The only thing is that he only took cash or check (no credit/debit cards), which luckily my daughter had her checkbook and could write a check. I had no idea where my checkbook was!!

    Dave was able to come out the next morning, and pricing beat everyone else. He was able to give us a quote for something we were wondering about, and that was also cheaper than other companies.Bonus: we have a very involved 5 year old, and Dave was wonderful with him. Most people get annoyed easily, but he was very polite and spoke to our 5 year old about everything he was doing.*** He was also the first person to actually be polite on the phone when I first spoke with him. We were only looking for a camera for a pipe issue and the other companies seemed to think it would take several hours equalling up to over hundreds of dollars.
