    Had these guys install a 50 amp generator inlet and interlock on my breaker. They did a fantastic job. They also tested everything and walked me through the proper steps to run my house off my generator. These guys do great work, had a great price, and provide great service. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for an electrician.

    100% recommend.After suffering 7 days without power and running extensions from my generator to my appliances, I decided enough was enough.I contacted back up electric to have a generator outlet installed to my breaker box. Communication was key, the work was done expediently and are very knowledgeable. They even gave me a tutorial on how everything worked.

    Javier came out to install my interlock system. He was very professional and detailed. The process took just about an hour or less. He explained everything to me I detail, we also tested the system on generator power to ensure everything worked properly and it did. I highly recommend them.

    After seeing Backup Electric mentioned in NextDoor, I called to take care of a few projects from my home inspection and items I noticed after moving into my home.On the phone they answered all of my questions and quoted a reasonable price plus were able to set an appointment for the following week. (I called on Friday and they came on Monday.)Jose A and Angel P came today and were ready to solve my issues. This is a small detail, but I was thrilled that they first turned off the power at my meter before touching my electrical panel. This doesnt always happen and when it does, it shows good attention to safety.Angel and Jose replaced a breaker for my AC and figured out why my garage outlets were not working. The included picture explains the garage plugs and also shows that no one should ignore when a GFCI stops working. With a new one installed everything works perfectly.They also asked if there was anything else I needed and I asked them to check my shower can light since it was not very bright. I then had them replace the fixture with a bright (damp space approved) LED. (This did require a quick trip to the hardware store, but they were back promptly to finish the job.)Since I added the shower light fixture, the price did go up a bit (reasonably) from the original quote. Im very satisfied with the team at Backup Electric and I plan to call them for future electrical needs.

    After dealing with the winter storm of 2021 and in preparation for 2022 and all future hurricane season(s) It was past time to get my home ready!I contacted Backup electric after viewing their post and videos on social media about “installation of a generator receptacle and breaker switch” into your main panel for portable backup generators.I followed their instruction and sent them a pic of my electrical panel and asked for a quote. I got a response within minutes with options. I then asked a lot of questions and every question I asked was answered I was also provided a video answering the “most common questions”. I continued my research and checked all their reviews and business address. I was satisfied and booked an appointment. I had a new electrical panel installed along with a 50 AMP generator setup. After the install was done, which was fast with very little disruption to my family; I was given a quick class how to safely hookup a generator to my electrical panel and power my entire home for future emergencies. The two man crew were very professional and respectful. The price I found was very reasonable and was the same as the quoted price. I cannot say enough about my great experience. I will keep their phone number for my future electrical needs.

    These guys are great, had them install a generator plug. He was polite, professional and punctual, answered all my questions and the plug is very professional looking. Yesterday I came home to lights flickering and then total loss of power to half my house they came out this morning and got I fixed up and made sure everything else was good to go. Highly recommend them for any electrical need

    I reached out to BackUp Electric from their AD on Facebook. They were very responsive in identifying what I needed via pics and setting me up a quote and an installation appointment. They showed up for the service within the service window and completed the job in a short period of time. The technician, Arturo, was able to give me a walk through of how to use the new services installed (generator switch) and tested it out to be sure it worked properly. The two-man team was professional and courteous- I plan to use BackUp Electric again should the need arise.

    Albert is a wonderful electrician. I have used his services in both our properties. I very rarely give a 5 star review but he merits it. He is smart, polite, knowledgeable, and most of all he is honest. He prices are always more than fair and he is fast at repairing and detecting the issue. He is clean. He actually swept the floor after he installed a fan. He has something that is called integrity. The first time I used him (2 years ago), I asked him a lot of questions. He answered them all. He does not hide the cost or inflated a bill. Great human and skilled electrician.

    I contacted Backup Electric via Facebook messenger and received a response within a couple hours. I requested to have a 50 amp generator plug installed. They had me send a pic of our panel for a quote and we’re able to get us scheduled for the next day. Javier texted me to let me know that he would be arriving within the hour. He showed up and had it all done within an hour. He was so professional and courteous. Highly recommend and will be using them again for future projects.

    Backup Electric done a fantastic job installing our generator interlock switch. Quality install, quick and explained how to use the system. I was considering running extra conduit which would cost considerably more. Even though it would generate more money for Back Up Electric, they recommended that it was not needed.     Located this business on Facebook Marketplace. Main factors that prompted me to use their services were that they are licensed and insured. Very good value and prompt response. Installed an interlocking kit and a generator power inlet. Ive recommended them to my neighbors and will continue using them.

    Contacted them through a Facebook ad and sent them a picture of my beaker box to get a quote to install a interlock and plug for a backup generator. I received the quote promptly and it was a couple of hundred less then other quotes I received. I agreed on price and scheduled an appointment for install. They arrived early and did a quality install in about an hour. Very happy with the entire experience and would recommend.

    We had our old fire hazard breaker boxes changed to the safe ones. Albert and Back up Electric were wonderful and we are so pleased with their services. We will sleep better now knowing we are safe. We plan on using him in the future for other projects.

This was one of the easiest and best interactions with a home service technician ever!4/20/21 update-texted for additional services two weeks later and got same day service!
