I moved to the area from out of state and Char-Ron was recommended to me by my realtor’s concierge service. I started a basement update that was unique in that it wasn’t fully planned prior to starting. It evolved quite a bit as we had to come up with design elements to work around a lot of existing features. Char-Ron was able to work with me by providing incremental estimates as the remodel took shape making it easier to decide how to move forward. My daily crew (Charlie and RJ) were great. Charlie was a huge help whenever I had questions/ideas/and budget options to consider. Val was always on top of any questions I had on materials and cost. Every Char-Ron team member or subcontractor was a pleasure to work with. The entire team was able to keep my project on track and completed within my timeline. I am so happy to have an awesome basement to share with my family as we gather for the holidays!!I will definitely be calling on Char-Ron again for future projects and I would certainly recommend their services to anyone who asks!

I called Char-Ron since I was having a.pest issue and thought i needed someone to go behind the cabinets and resigned myself to it being an expensive project. Instead Val assessed the issue and didnt want to book me into a project that may not be needed and insead put me in contact with pest company he recommended highly. I called with no real expectations, turns out they were thorough, i felt confident they found the issues and took care of it the very next day. Thank you Char-Ron!!

This company is AMAZING! So very professional and on point. The quality of work cant be beat. Our old deck was just falling apart and Charlie and his awesome crew did a new deck plus a retaining wall for my fathers home and it came out absolutely stunning. They were always keeping my family in the loop of the entire process and any questions were fully answered. Wonderful recommendations for products, great pricing and no stone was left unturned! We appreciate this company and the value! Please give this company a try, you will NOT regret it!

Charles and his team built our home in Highlands from the ground up. He was contracted by the former property owner who worked with Char-Ron on design and construction. We purchased the home in 2022 after it was completed, but have been in touch with and worked with them since. We engaged Char-Ron after taking ownership to do a few projects to add our own touches and had a positive experience. We’ve also worked successfully with them to address a couple of the inevitable issues that happen with new construction and again, Charles and his team we on top of it all handling warranty claims, minor adjustments and repairs. He has solid relationships with his subcontractors and he doesn’t do business with subs whose work ethic or quality standards aren’t as least as good as his. They take a lot of pride in their work and you are not dealing with an employee from a huge faceless company. You are dealing with a family-owned business run by people who care about the communities they live and work in. Charles believes in building relationships, not just “doing a job.” All of that makes a big difference.

Char-Ron was initially hired to repair a leak in a wall in one of the bathrooms in our townhouse. It turned into a huge job that required repair on the entire front of the townhouse including removing all of the siding and masonry and then replacing it. What a group of professional hardworking guys keeping us fully informed through the entire project. Highly recommend!!

Very hard to find a waterproofing company that works above basement level. Char-Ron does. They repaired the leak from the siding into the kitchen. They came promptly and did the job in one day. We had some extenuating circumstances and they went above and beyond to get our issues fixed. Charlie and Val were just the nicest people to work with. I recommend Char-Ron completely and without hesitation!

I can’t say enough about char Ron construction in Highlands NJ . Not only are they fairly priced ,the work is impeccable. From smallProjects to whole house construction ,They are heads above anyone else in design , workmanship and materials . The other part is they are responsive , honest and trust worthy. While other contractors give you numbers you want to hear but are always absurdly over the estimate . Char Rom on the other hand gives you a real cost estimate . The worse thing is to pick someone based on price and then they come way way over anyway and the workmanship stinks . With char Ron you get the real numbers and professionals .Not to mention Char Ron comes when they say they will and they stick to their word, Which in today’s world is not a common practice anymore . Want it done right call them Or have regrets . We learned after a lot of bad experiences with others After we met Char Ron everything has been smooth since . Hello, I have recently move to highlands and had some serious concerns with the home I purchased. When I inquired via email to this local company I quickly received a response and someone who was asking about my problem and when was a good time to arrive for inspection. I immediately thought OH NO I talked called one of those companies who will hound you and when delivering a price will be through the roof. I think we all have experiences like this and want to avoid.Since my concern was high priority and I needed to make some decision fast I accepted an onsite inspection. I was totally surprised by the visit and to learn much more about the company and how they operate. It has that big company feel without the unpleasantries usually the come with that.Charlie was very professional but also completely transparent from start to finish and he won me over in such a short period or time even though I did not expect it.I will admit I did not have Char-Ron do the work as just moving took a hit on my cash flow. Going forward, I will always consider Charlie and the company to be a 1st contact with new projects.The big company feel, being delivered with a personal touch and expertise ready to do the job. I would highly recommend Char-Ron Construction for any new build or home improvement project. First and foremost, Charlie spends the time to fully understand the customer, as a result the finished project is the customers vision and within budget. This quality is rare and you can see it any of Char-Rons finished projects. The are often filled with unique finishings and aesthetic details that are non- standard grade construction. Most other contractors that I have hired push back on these types of details as they are not efficient or economical for their business. Char- Ron does not, they enthusiastically embrace the challenge and take pride in the build.Char-Ron applies this same standard to the non-visible parts of the Project. I have been surprised at how often Char-Ron will take that extra step to ensure a good build even when the plans do not call the upgrade and the customer will not see it. Here is list of examples:- Extra effort in enclosing and heating the area where pipes enter the building above flood to ensure non freeze in the winter;- Additional/ better insulation where weather will have a larger impact on the building;-Steele where wood could be used;- Proper access to pipes for certain fixtures;-Higher quality gutters, thicker aluminum;- Correcting Architects errors in design on site;-Placing mechanicals in sections of the building that maximize the interior space. Even when it requires significantly more work;-Making adjustments on site to make sure home is efficient for homeowner use.-Ensuring heat is in the foyer area at ground level, Many builders overlook this.As a homeowner that has done many projects, I know that construction can become an unpleasant experience at times (Ive had mine!). I have found that hiring the right contractor is the key and is the reason I took this time to write this.Good luck on your project.
