    Austin and Isaac came out to do our 50 point electrical maintenance. They did a very thorough inspection. They were very courteous and professional. They were very informative and gave us options for the upgrades we want to have done. Isaac also does our whole house generator maintenance service twice a year. He does an excellent job maintaining the generator for us. We would recommend them to anybody needing electrical or generator work.

    Dmitri Delcambre was excellent, very pleasant, hard-working, A+++. Adam Richards was OK. Just kidding, Adam was terrific, knowledgeable and on top of his game. They put in a Tesla charging unit in a detached garage, including a long trench, a new breaker panel and a new generator load-shedding module. It was a big job, well done. Three days of hard work and super easygoing guys. Highly recommend! They were even praised by the county inspector who signed off on the job.

    Asbury Electric was very patent and accommodating with a problemI have a swim spa that needed power, Alan Meeter and his assistant Ryan ran the power and all was well until the spa went to rest mode, the breaker would trip. I got Alan to come back, he checked everything and it was fine he didnt understand why it was happening.I called the spa people, they came out and couldnt find a problems and said they have never had this problem before. I told them it has to be something with the spa. They called Asbury and said they did something wrong. They sent William Calapodas out and again there was no problem on their end.Called the spa people again and told them its the spa and I will not call Asbury again. They sent another person out and guess what, he called the company. They asked what kind of breaker did I have, they said we have had many complaints about that kind of breaker, we dont know why but that brand doesnt work.He left me with a breaker that will work. Alan and Ryan came back and installed the new one and everything works great.To add some kindness, that last day my recycle bin was empty on the street, Alan and Ryan brought it to my house, I have a long driveway.I would like to give them extra stars. I also hope one day they can work on the type of generator I have. I will use them again for any future work.

I was very satisfied.This is the second time an Asbury electrician has come to my home The technician this time was Alan Meeter.Alan came to my home to address an electrical problem I was having with some of my appliances. He quickly diagnosed the problem and then fixed it. This is the second time I have used this company and all my interactions with them have been positive.When I asked Alan about the chance that the same problem may reoccur, he suggested that a panel upgrade would be advised. Without any pressure whatsoever he outlined the advantages of a newer electric panel and everything he said made sense. Especially since my current panel is 50 years old. On completing the repair, he made sue all previously dead circuits were working well. We anticipate upgrades to electrical service in the not-distant future, and we would be happy to have Alan and Asbury bid on these.

    Terra was very kind and professional in scheduling and confirming my appointment. Adam was incredible, he did an inspection, diagnosis, and the problem was solved the same day. I also signed up for the yearly contract which will save me a lot of money down the road. Adam and I also discussed and planned a project that we will execute Spring of 25. Adam was very knowledgable answered all of my questions and cleaned up a mess left by the (previous) electrician.     Asbury Electric did a solid job from beginning to end. I needed an electrician to repair/replace a ceiling fan prior to sale of my house. Mr. Don Henry arrived with his team and gave me some options and expert advice in replacing my fan. They did the job professionally, quickly and did a evaluation of my whole house to make sure all of the electrical are good to go for the new homeowner. 10/10, highly recommend for any electrical issues for your home locally in Newport News!

    I called Asbury Electric with an emergency electrical problem. The lady who answered the phone in the middle of the night was pleasant and prompt, and swiftly scheduled someone to come out to fix the problem. I had called other electrical companies that had advertised ā€œemergency hoursā€ and received no response or when I did reach an operate they couldnā€™t reach a technician on duty. I should have saved myself the time and called Asbury first. William was super knowledgeable, took the time to explain everything, respectful, and overall pleasant to have in our home. He turned what was a very stressful situation for me into manageable, quick solution. 10/10 would use them again. Save yourself the headache and call Asbury first.

He also showed me how to do the manual transfer in case the generator doesnt complete the automatic transfer on its own. Ecstatic with the results. I had burned out and aged fluorescent lights. They replaced the lights with LEDs. The quality of light is different and very cheerful. The generator was checked out. Job types may vary and faces and voices on the phone may change. But one thing is consistent - superior performance by superior people. Got an electrical problem or want to upgrade? Call them; let them show you how it should be done.Things break. Nobody likes it when they do. But when electrical problems pop up, I know exactly who to call. Asbury Electric. Recently I with a problem occurred in the power shedding component of our home generator. The problem stopped our clothes dryer with fresh load. I called Asbury. In short order, Anthony called asking some questions to ensure he brought the correct repair supplies. He showed up at the projected time. He quickly confirmed the problem and fixed it while working in a difficult location. I was impressed by his insight into the home generator system and his foresight to ask the right questions before showing up here. He was professional, focused, and extremely thorough in his final checkout. He was committed to fixing the problem but also to ensuring I was happy with the end result.     Between the quote and the job, high quality work was done and they come highly recommended.Kevin did the install and arrived on time, with all the tools and parts necessary. Quick orientation talk ahead of time and everything was installed efficiently and exactly as I pictured it. He even went above expectations by running the wire in the attic in a way that I could still easily store stuff up there. He did a great job.They worked with me to get the job scheduled when it was convenient for me.I did have to take time off work to get a quote, then again to get the install done; would have preferred if they could have been combined. The scheduling was a little clunky too; first a quote, then call to pay the deposit, then wait for a third person to call to schedule it (which seemed to take a while), then install.) Overall there are some minor process improvements but the transparency of pricing, job quality, and friendless of staff means Id recommend them to anyone!

    I have been using Asbury Electric since my wife and I bought our house in 2021. We have been fortunate enough to have William personally handle almost all of our work. His familiarity with the propertys quirks and the upgrades he and his team have provided continue to make our house feel like a home.     After Austin and Sage arrived we discussed the issue I was having. It involved my garage door opening and closing automatically. Sometimes it would open and sometimes it wouldnt because the circuit would randomly trip. Austin gave me a couple options that would resolve my problem and worked up the costs for both options. I picked one and they went to work. I thought it was going to take a few hours but working together they were done in no time. They communicated well and were a pleasure to work with. I feel confident my garage door is back to working as it should.

    Right before dying, our oven flashed a great blue spark. A couple of days prior, our toaster happened to die, and weeks before, we had noticed that our coffee machine was producing less hot coffees for us. When the Best Buy people came to take away our deceased oven and install our new oven, thatā€™s when we found out that we had an electrical problem.     On Friday, Anthony the electrical technician came out to figure out which breaker controlled the power to outside shed scheduled for demolition on Monday. He arrived two hours earlier than service window. For the $89 fee which is charged ā€˜just to show upā€™ he identified the breaker (with my assistance) and marked the breaker o the panel and cut the conduit in the shed so the workers on Monday can proceed. I will remove the outlets, wires and light myself now that they are de-energized to lessen the cost impact. Strangely the breaker that controls the shed controls outlets in the kitchen. Working alone I was unable to identify which breaker controlled the shed and switching off the main (by me) didnā€™t turn the light off. It did so for him today. Oddā€¦. Anyway I am content because the shed demo and install may proceed. I obtained quotes for installation of outlets and light in new shed and replacement of photoelectric sensor for house. Prices seemed high so I opted to get other quotes for comparison, especially since they charge a fee upfront. Anthony emphasized that they are a professional firm and for me to ensure that my other quotes were from comparable organizations. I submitted request BBB and only Asbury responded. I appreciate that they made sure to send someone out before my Monday deadline.

    UPDATE: Robert and an assistant (Anthony?) came back a week after the estimate and completed the work. I needed a 110v outlet installed inside our fireplace box for a gas fireplace insert. The final job was done correctly and professionally. They did have some trouble drilling through to the outside of the chimney to connect to an outside outlet. But eventually with persistence were able to bridge the distance. Very pleased. About ten days after calling, I had a reasonable estimate and the work was completed. Seems to be difficult finding electricians in the Williamsburg VA area. Happy to have found Asbury Electric. Recommended them to our fireplace company who has had difficulty finding reliable electricians in the area. Everyone I had contact with were polite and professional. Robert showed up in new very professional van that was well stocked with the supplies and tools an electrician should have access to. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!Robert did a fine job preparing the estimate. Took a little while to write up but it was emailed before end of day. Company does charge $89 to prepare an estimated cost of work. Most professional service companies provide free estimates. Would be nice if the estimate cost was waived if you employed their services. But they scheduled both the estimate and the scheduled work in less than a week. A competitor still has not scheduled any visit for 4 weeks now. I keep getting well call you next week to schedule. So kudos to Asbury Electric for being so responsive. Telephone contact lady was always incredibly friendly, polite and efficient. Provides a great first impression of the company. Very professionally run company so far. Hopefully work will match.     Asbury Electric did a fantastic job changing out our meter box, which Dominion required. Our power was out, and they liased with Dominion and the County inspector to get outr power turned back on as soon as possible. They were professional, reliable, and thorough all through the job.     The technicians at Asbury Electric have been great to work with. Their work ethic, consideration, timeliness, and explanations of the process have been outstanding. Over a period of 3 days, Adam, Jim, and Wayne have not only done the work in our contract but provided assistance beyond what was expected. Several weeks later, the city scheduled their inspection and Wayne patiently waited here for nearly 3 hours for the inspector. During that time, he kindly helped me moved my new stove into place. I highly recommend this company and will definitely use them in the future.

    It was great! Don Henry went over the entire house and checked all the electric and kept me appraised of what he was doing and why. Whenever he found something wrong he told me and how he would fix it. He made a couple of repairs and left a recommendation with all changes I needed to make to improve my home.It was a very good visit and I am very happy Don Henry helped me.     Josh came to do a Safety Inspection today. He was on time, thorough, personable and took the time to go over everything and answer any questions we had. Thank you! Needed an electrician 2 years ago to repair a ceiling fan and tried 2 different electricians first. One never returned my call. The other one set up a time to come & didnt show up. I tried to reschedule. Again didnt show up & quit taking my calls. Asbury Electric returned my call, showed up when they said they would and made the repair. Thank you!

    I had several things inside the house plus a 220 sub panel outside I needed done. From the initial estimate to job completion their communication and professionalism was excellent! Stephen took the time to listen to my needs and offered solutions to meet them without trying to up sell or give me things I didnā€™t require. During the day of install/work they arrived on time, kept their work space clean and took the time to clean up after themselves. Once done they walked me through everything and explained the work they performed. I highly recommend Asbury Electric.     Fantastic service! Extremely knowledgeable and explained everything to me in laymans terms, broke down the costs and showed me multiple options for services.     I was called the day before to confirm the appointment which I really appreciate. Then 2 hours before the appointment, William called to let me know that my Generac, which is attached to a solar system is not covered by their license so he canā€™t work on it. He saved me the service call fee and advised me to contact Generac for licensed dealers.

    Adam, as well as his office administration assistant, did an incredible job for on our house.
