My wife and I are so very pleased with the work and care that we received from the Nolan team. The color specialist came by to provide us input and advice on updating the paint colors to our downstairs. The painters did an amazing job! The work was efficient and clean. They were a pleasure to have at our house. Additional work on repairs to the plaster and drywall were done so beautifully that you cannot see the repairs done. They also fixed a door that settled crooked. I cannot recommend Nolan any higher. We are looking forward to more work from them in the future!

Last year I had Nolan paint my bathrooms, kitchen, and all hallways. They did an impeccable job, so this year I had them paint a guest room, storage room, and play room. I wasnt quite sure what colors I wanted to pick so one of their color consultants, Christy, came over for a free consultation. She was really helpful. I also had them paint 8 dining room chairs, 2 childrens chairs, and a desk. They also do some carpentry work so I asked them to build a built-in bookshelf in the guest room. Their work was even better than I expected. My house was built in 1885... nothing is square or straight! But the built-in is perfect and absolutely gorgeous. They matched the curve of the ceiling and added a cut-out to accommodate the original gas lamp fixture. Everyone at Nolan is reliable, kind, and good at what they do. I highly recommend them! We had the best experience recently with Nolan painting. We are selling our home and needed to improve the appearance a bit. I’m usually a DIY painting type of guy, but holy smokes I won’t try that again. The crew was clean, efficient, affordable, and did excellent work. Did an amazing job with a few drywall repairs, primer, and a fresh coat on mostly ceilings and a few walls. 100% going to use them in our new home once we’re on track to move! Nolan painted the exterior of our home. They were great. The job was done expertly and on time. We have a stucco home and they carefully repaired damaged sections and cracks. They replaced frames around many windows. The painting crews and the carpentry crews were all professional. They even came back a few months later when I identified an additional stucco issue. I appreciated that a color expert helps with the color selections-that is always agonizing but they made it easy. I love the final product and would use them again without hesitation. My only advice is to get an accurate estimate for the construction part of your project.

I have been a Nolan customer for many years. They have from the start been a professional, honest and hard working group. Ive had many rooms and exterior painted and they have offered excellent suggestions and additional support when a carpenter has been needed for repairs before painting. Working with Nolan was a pleasure. Every person who came into our home was on-time, friendly, professional, and respectful. Their free color consultation service was such a huge help. I would have been trying to figure out colors for months without Frans help.Mike did a great job of painting the cabinet boxes while the doors and drawer fronts were away to be sprayed. He also brought back the finished doors and drawers and installed the hardware. Hes just a great guy who believes in doing to job correctly the first time. After the doors were reinstalled, he had me take a look to be sure that everything was ok. It wasnt. Most of the doors had gaps where the inner panel meets the frame. Mike gave me an explanation as to the cause, but the fact is that we were paying a lot of money for a paint job that looked like it was years old. Mike thought that the gaps might close with the humidity in summer, but that would still leave paint that would be cracked at the gap. I wish that they would have explained that this might happen, before they painted. I might have decided to go with new doors and drawers. I called Beth at Nolan, and explained that the gaps werent acceptable. Kevin Nolan called and said that they would caulk the gaps and re-paint. They couldnt guarantee that the gaps wouldnt open up over time. The doors came back today, and they look good. Only time will tell if they hold up. There is a 2-year warranty on their work.We also had the kitchen walls painted. The walls look good, but there wasnt a lot of attention to detail on the doors and windows, so I had to call and have Guido come out to touch up things that werent done correctly the first time.Overall, Nolan is a good company with good employees, but check carefully and be sure that the job is done to your liking before they leave. You can trust them to be alone in your home, and to be careful with your floors and furnishings, and that meant a lot to us.

Nolan Painting completed an extensive job of exterior painting for my 1880 victorian house. The entire house (windows, trim, shutters and stucco) needed much attention and prepping. Under the guidance of Saddi and his team, it received so much more! They were able to unearth beautiful detail that was covered by years and years of paint and make this house shine once again. . . they even resurrected the defunct flag pole with paint and a new pully! They far exceeded my expectations in a timely and very professional manner. I would highly recommend them for any project (big or small) and will definitely use them for all future projects.

I received a very competetive bid from Nolan to paint my house in Mt Airy, theirs was the lowest of three. They did an outstanding job painting as well as repairing some of the window sills and framing.Their personnel were professional and nice. A week or so afterwards I had another job which they completed with the same professional attitude as the first one. Painting the metal hardware black on my beautiful bifold garage doors added some real spark to the appearence of the house.

Ive worked with Nolan previously, and was pleased that they take efforts to keep return customers with their estimators. Rob, my estimator, was prompt, accommodating and easy to work with.I needed both carpentry and painting done on my dining room, and all 3 team members arrived promptly, were courteous, and did an outstanding job to prep the room & complete the painting. I opted for a deep color (Azurite from Benjamin Moore) with no contrast between wall and trim, and I couldnt be happier with the finished results.Im already lining up my next painting project with Nolan for the spring!

Dealing with Nolan was a great experience, start to finish!Their estimator was friendly and explained their process in detail, and their office folks were also kind and answered any questions that we had. The painters themselves were neat, thorough, friendly and did a fantastic job on our house! They were careful with the paint and tarps, even going so far as to cover neighbors cars so they didnt get hit with any spray. Not a single stray drop! They also provided new shutters, and did a better job with the installation than the ones that had been up there for years.But specific to our job, we felt that Nolan genuinely cared about our project. It had to have been one of the smaller jobs on their schedule (exterior of a small rowhouse), but at no point did anyone at Nolan act like it was anything less than a priority. I really appreciated their professionalism throughout the process and sincerely look forward to using them on future projects.

I had multiple rooms in my house painted in February 2024, specifically my living room, first floor hallway and stairway wall and second floor hallway. I live in a home built in the 1920s. I have mostly plaster wall, and some had paint over wallpaper. The Nolan estimator recommended that they do a skim coat of spackle over one wall (wall with exterior door) because the humidity on that wall caused paint to alligator/flake in some areas. He told me they would also do minor repairs of cracks, nail holes, etc. The estimated number of days to complete the job was three. In preparation for the painting, I moved as much furniture to the center of the room, or out of the room as I could. I removed switch covers and did as much as I could to prepare the room, expecting that the painters would arrive with their own protective supplies such as tarps. When the painters arrived on Monday morning, I asked if anything else needed to be moved and they assured I had done enough and they would protect my furniture and adjoining spaces. To be clear, they did make some minor effort to use protection, however, they used the cheapest dollar store quality tarps on my furniture, which consistently blew off just from their movements and did not fully cover. Then IT began. Instead of the skim coat on one wall, the painters proceeded to skim coat every wall and ceiling to cover every wallpaper seam. Now, for those reading this who say, Wow, that is a good job! Let me tell you, that when you live and work from home and you were not prepared to have drywall dust all over every surface of the house, in every room, days after day after, then that really isnt a good job. If that would have been part of my plan, then I would have been able to plan accordingly, but it was not. So, as a result, the job took longer than expected, and the painters were being rushed in the final days because they were way behind and the consequences were: Massive drywall dust mess in every room of the house, in every closet, in rugs, drapes, bedding, mattresses; every light fixture, dishes, glass, cutlery, microwave, inside the oven burners...need I say more? If youve lived somewhere where some a patch wall was being sanded, you know that a huge a mess is created. It looked like children went wild in my house with hundreds of open bottles of baby powder. On top of that, there was spackle on my leather chairs, on my upholstered sofa, on my coffee table, on my hardwood floors and on random walls and surfaces. To make matters worse, they also damaged a light fixture, scuffed other walls that had previously been painted, and as they were running out of time, they began to cut corners on the other work. They painted over nail holes in the wall without filling them. They did not fill in the holes on the newly installed shoe molding which was part of the contract, they just painted, and it is obvious that they just ran a brush quickly over a lot of the trim. It is streaked and not fully painted. By they time they left on Friday, my house was a complete mess. I had to hire a professional post-construction crew of six people which cost me over $589.00 to clean, and as anyone who has been through drywall messes know, the first round of cleaning never does the job. More continues to settle and shift. I have been cleaning drywall dust for months now. If all of that doesnt sound bad enough, I have also been touching up their paint job constantly. As I walk from room to room, Ill see another part of the wall that shows roller marks, of thin streak of paint near the trim, the thermostat, light fixtures, etc. I want to give credit to the painters, who showed initiative to want to cover the wallpaper seams, even though it was not part of the project. It was not what I wanted, but at least they were thinking about doing something correctly. I respect that work ethic.5/8/2024: UPDATE: an error was made in quoting the cleaning service fee and corrected. A representative from Nolan reached out to rectify my concerns. Updating stars based on the follow up.

We can’t say enough good things about Nolan Painting. While our job was a fairly small one in the spectrum of painting jobs, and thus maybe wouldn’t receive the attention of the clients with big jobs, every aspect of this was done and executed so very professionally.In April we contacted Nolan Painting about some outdoor trim painting and met with Chris Nolan to go over the work. He met us right on time, we walked around the house to assess the job, and he quickly provided an estimate. With all of the work homeowners have been doing this year (being stuck at home in a pandemic will do that), our scheduled work week was in August. While pretty far out, time wise, we understood why and were willing to wait.In June we received a call from Nolan asking if we were available for an opening in their schedule. Of course we were! The crew arrived first thing the scheduled date and immediately began setting up. They scraped old paint way, cleaned up the surfaces, primed, and painted. We were told repeatedly by friends in many local school districts that Nolan Painting was the absolute best. We hired them and they absolutely lived up to the reputation that they have worked so hard to achieve. From the beginning through the end, Nolan painting was always friendly, helpful, prompt in response and both exceptional and professional in their work. We appreciated the specific feedback from the estimator - he clearly showed how knowledgeable he was, which made us immediately comfortable and trust Nolan. The color design coordinator was amazing. She helped us pick exterior colors for the house, trim and door that we love and would not have thought of without her guidance. The painters were all friendly, clean and respectful of our family and property (unlike experiences we have had with other contractors). They set up a time in a week, which was good, but i asked if they would be able to move up once i found out about the other things being installed. I cannot speak highly enough of the quality of work performed by everyone from Nolan Painting who worked on our job. This includes the carpenters who installed ceiling drywall in a room with extensive water damage. It would have have taken us solid work every weekend for two months, sore muscles and a big mess to accomplish what this expert crew did in 6 days. They arrived on time each morning, worked a specific area quietly so I could be productive working at home, and cleaned up (even mopped!) at the end of each day leaving our living areas mostly intact so we could enjoy our evenings. Several times during the project, the area manager stopped by to check progress - a nice touch! They were respectful of me and our home while working. We had spots on our walls that needed patching, and we cannot even tell where they were now - its that perfect! Also, a big added perk for me is that they have a color consultant who will come out to your home to help you select colors. Im no good at this, and her help was invaluable - this was included in the cost of the estimate. Overally, this company runs like a well-oiled machine, and the results show it! Hire Nolan for your painting job, and you wont regret it.

This is my second review for Nolan and well earned. My first experience was about 2 years ago with my Master Bed/Bath. The crew was incredible with detail. Had cathedral ceiling that had cracks in the seams. These were repaired, but one resurfaced in a small area. As part of their warranty they came back to fix as advertised. This time I had my dining room, living room and foyer areas painted. Several things to note about Nolan and quality…. The prep on walls is superior. They found nail pops and imperfections I didn’t know I had. This really makes a difference with the finished look. They were very clean. Yes, there was sanding and dust at times, but they contain with sealing areas with plastic. At the end of each day they vacuumed and no dust was present. For me and my wife this is a key factor to hiring someone. We felt comfortable in our home even though it was a construction zone. Communication from every member of the crew was great. They explained what they would do each day and made sure if we had questions or concerns that they were addressed. Work ethic: they arrived at 7:00am every morning. A lot of times earlier, but waited until 7:00 before knocking on the door. They absolutely have pride in their work ethic and quality of the painting craft. I want shout out to Seth, MJ, David and Guido for a superior job!

I received five quotes for painting the exterior of our home and interior family room. Not only was Nolan the least expensive by a few hundred dollars, but they did impeccable work. Chris came out to give us a quote and they were able to fit us in very quickly due to some rainy weather. Nolan removed our 1970s wood paneling, put up dry wall, spackled and painted the whole room. The workers were always on time, extremely polite, and cleaned up after themselves better than I could have. The job took a bit longer than expected but I was pleased to see no additional costs added to the quote/bill. Nolan Painting stuck by their quote, did excellent work, and had wonderful communication. That was mostly the case this last time with the exception of Ted, the job leader assigned to my project. Ted left my job before it’s completion and didn’t do the final walkthrough of the job with me, which is a standard feature of Nolan’s services. I even texted him to notify me of when he was complete so that we could do the walkthrough but he never responded. The actual painters who did much of the work were extremely professional and did their best to fill in for what Ted did not do. Therefore, were it not for Ted’s lack of follow through, Nolan would have earned 5 stars in this rating.I am amending my review to a full 5 stars. Nolan followed up with me immediately, assessed my concerns, explained the situation, and agreed to make things right. This is true service and demonstrates their commitment to customer satisfaction. Since writing my earlier review below, I had the misfortune of having to use another painting company. I had a last minute painting job that needed to be done, and Nolan was booked. Using another painting company reinforced just how good Nolan is. The price was about the same, but the oversight, workmanship, and care shown by the other company was nothing near what I have come to expect. A few months after this, we moved; and I was happy to be using Nolan to paint the interior of our new home. They did a wonderful job using their typical high standards.Be sure to use Nolans color consultation services. We used Christy for our color consultation. She really knows her colors, and she was so incredibly helpful. The colors we decided on with her help are perfect!From the time I initially called Nolan until the work was complete, it was clear that Nolan values its customers. The Nolan rep, Chris, came prepared to go over in detail what work we wanted done, and he sent us a proposal within 24 hours. We learned by interviewing other companies for this project how unusual that is.Nolan replaced most of our exterior window sills and painted all exterior window frames. The work crews arrived early, made as little noise as possible, were very courteous, and did exceptional work. When the painters were here, they asked us if we were expecting them to paint a set of windows that were not in the contract. This was an omission on our part, and we were thrilled they asked. They called the office immediately and had a work order and price (very reasonable) for us in minutes.We were very pleased with Nolan, not just because of the excellent quality of the work; but because from our first call to the completion of the project, Nolan communicated with us each step of the way. It is extremely rare for me to give a five-star rating, but Nolan definitely earned it.

My experience with Nolan Painted consisted of their painting the entire interior 3rd floor (3 rooms + hall) of my 115 yr old Philadelphia twin townhouse. The space had been neglected for many decades, needed a ton of preparation, some carpentry, and coating with a variety of colors.I was a general contractor for many years prior to retirement and know all too intimately how arduous it is to perform work in a clients home while theyre in residence with a highly positive outcome. Everyone at Nolan from the back office, estimator, job foreman, and incredibly well skilled workers never loose site of client perception, needs, approval, and overall contentment during work in process. This is rare and can only be achieved via ongoing training of happy, skilled and low turnover employees. I felt it was important to be on site throughout my project, but when I have Nolan Painting back for future work Ill have no hesitation to just let them have at it.

We needed all of our walls skim coated before they were painted. He addressed all of our questions and concerns. He was very detail-oriented and ensured that he left with a complete understanding of the overall project.Christy met with us to help finalize color selection. I knew the look and mood I was going for, but struggled to find the right color. She had the color narrowed down to a few options within one hour of meeting with us. She has a great eye when looking at a room with all of the different lighting. She overnighted us a few samples and came back the next day and made a final decision. She nailed the color and we couldnt be happier with how the room turned out!!Angel and his team did an exceptional job!! They were always on time, meticulous with their work and very respectful. It was a pleasure to have them in our home. We highly recommend them to anyone and we look forward to working with them again.

Weve worked with Nolan Painting for over 10 years and our home never looked so fabulous! Nolans professionalism, attention to detail, and quality control are unmatched. At this point, they have painted every room inside and the entire outside of our home several times over... we cant imagine using anyone else! And whats even more interesting, is that no matter what contractor comes to the door, the hvac, landscaper, windows, roofing, etc. they all recommend Nolan back to us for painting and woodwork. Youre only as good as your referrals, right? So, if other contractors and professionals strongly refer us to Nolan... they must also respect other contractors as well. This was our third time using Nolan Painting. We were not disappointed. Our crew arrived on time each day and cleaned up at the end of each day. They were working in the kitchen area of our home ,and made it possible for us to eat dinner at home and breakfast at home in the morning. Very considerate and extra work for them but appreciated.

Best painters around. They first came and gave me an estimate. They stuck to the estimate when the painters came. The guys were friendly, professional, neat, and responded to all my questions. You pay what you get for. I paid For a great job and got it. Nolan’s was with me all the way. They even sent out someone to help me choose the color. When the time comes, I will use Nolan’s to paint my house. This job was my porch. I highly recommend Nolan’s for any paint job.

Nolan Painintg and carpentry were awesome to work with and do great work. They are committed and dedicated to a job well-done. We had the entire interior of our house painted, lots of plaster work and replaced a sunnroom ceiling. Everything turned out fantastic and we couldnt be happier with the results. They completed the project in the week before the Coronvirus shutdown all operations and we had concerns, but they took every precaution to esure our safety and the safety of thier workers. Nolan was very communicative, flexible and generally just great to wotk with in that crazy week. We would high recommemd them for any painting, plaster or carpentry job!
