    Project included repair of damaged porch railing and installation of new step railings. Matt identified issues with the builder installation and outlined corrective action. The ordered material matched the existing design and the technician who fixed the damaged railing and installed the new step railing did such a fine job, that I doubt anyone could tell the railings were not part of the original porch design. Such high-quality workmanship is getting hard to find these days. I will absolutely return to Coastland Construction for future projects.

    We had been trying to get our front deck/entryway rebuilt for quite some time. It was hard to get contractors to call back let alone come out and quote the job. Matthew and his team at Coastland Construction were working on some decking a few doors down from us, so we stopped in and asked if he would be interested. He stopped that afternoon and we discussed what we needed. Matthew made some excellent suggestions on how to tweak the original design a bit to make it more functional and aesthetically more pleasing. Within a couple days, we had CAD drawings showing the design, which was real nice. In addition, he would also be able to fit the project in with in about 2 months. This is both a vacation and rental property for us, so it was important to get it done before the rental season. We were not around for the job and only saw pictures, but you could see the quality and attention to detail that Matthew and the team afforded our property. We got to see the final job about a month after they completed the job. It came out absolutely beautiful, on time and on budget .. what else could you ask for. We highly recommend Coastland Construction.

    We spoke with a number of shutter groups prior to choosing Atlantic Breeze for our rolling hurricane shutters. One of the primary reasons we chose Atlantic Breeze is because they were the only group we spoke with that did not intend on using an inferior grade (generally 304) of stainless-steel screws/bolts in the installation. If you’ve lived in an oceanside environment you probably know that the only grade of stainless steel that will not begin to corrode after a few years is the 316 grade. We definitely didn’t want to risk using a lower grade hardware which would be more likely to degrade over time on our hurricane shutters.We were relieved when we spoke to Matthew with Coastland Construction who installs for Atlantic Breeze in the Surf City area. When asked about installation methodology and materials, Matthew immediately indicated that they used the 316 grade stainless-steel. He noted that the 316 grade has proven to be the best grade of stainless-steel over time in an oceanside environment and is far superior to the very basic specs allowed for a Miami-Dade hurricane rating.We contracted with Atlantic Breeze for our shutters and for Coastland (Matthew) as their related installer and Matthew did a truly outstanding job. To say that my husband is “’particular” about the quality and precision of the work being performed is a gross understatement. He watched and listened as Matthew instructed his workers as to exactly how things were to be done and the quality of installation that he demanded. He then watched as the team actually performed to those very high standards in installing our shutters, maintaining constant cleanliness of our property and ensuring that our home was treated with care and respect.Matthew and his team at Coastland Construction were very professional, courteous, respectful and skilled. They actually cared about their work, performance and their customer’s satisfaction. They made sure each shutter worked properly and that we thoroughly understood how they operated and locked and took the time necessary to make sure that we were comfortable. When I had trouble closing one shutter the next day while re-testing them all, Matthew came out in a matter of hours and made sure that it was functioning properly (my error – just didn’t pull it down far enough).The rolling shutters look great on our house, are extremely easy to operate, and are a very high quality product. Atlantic Breeze and Coastland Construction, LLC (Matthew) did an outstanding job and we appreciate it so very much.     Matt and his crew at Coastland do some of the finest work one could ever expect. A couple of years ago, Coastland installed roll down storm shutters (10 of them!) on our house. The work performed was superb, including some custom cutting into the soffit to allow the shutters to fit (and give them a sleeker look as well). Beautiful work...Just yesterday Matt completed a large combination window, one large picture window and a half round window above. Again, the work is immaculate. The crew is super clean and tidy, as well as being totally respectful to the customer and their home. With Matts consult, we will be installing a combination roll shutter and kevlar protection screen on this new window combo as well. Listen folks, Matthew is one of the most professional and knowledgable guys you will ever meet. He has a deep well of knowledge and expertise in all matters relation to the construction business.     A thumbs up to Matthew and his crew for the fine work they did replacing our decking materials. The job included renovating some of the underlying framework.     Had the team from Coastland Construction build a deck at my residence, and my wife and I could not be happier. The entire process was extremely simple. Matthew and his team were very helpful and very knowledgeable. From start to finish they made everything simple, even when it came to adjusting the sizing and materials for the deck to fit our budget. Everyone we dealt with was pleasant and eager to assist, all questions and concerns we addressed promptly and throughly. Highly recommended Coastland Construction.

    Our deck was damaged and unsafe. Called up Coastland Construction and these guys came out and walked me through all the issues the deck on my beach house actually had and was causing to my home. They educated me on the importance of flashing, different grades of wood and the existing code and safety violations. I had no idea what 316 stainless steel was and now its all we’ll ever use on this beach. The level of professionalism I witnessed was something I never would have expected from a construction company. The same guy who quoted my build was the same guy who showed up to do the work. The entire Coastland team exceeded every expectation I had. Crews consisted of veterans across various branches of our military and you could visibly tell this company was no nonsense, professional, courteous and knew their job. I cannot say enough positive things about this organization but I can say, I’ll never call anyone other than Coastland Construction again.

    Love the Bahama shutters and rolldowns that were installed. However one of the shutters is misaligned which caused buckling of the siding and a lopsided appearance of the shutter. Couldnt get the installer to fix the issue. Am working with Atlantic Breeze to get corrected.

    We initially contacted Coastland Construction to determine the source of some leaks in our house. They ended up rebuilding our whole north wall due to poor installation of previous shutters which caused leaks and rotting wood. Working with Matthew was such an overall positive experience that we then hired him to install all new storm shutters for us and are very pleased with the installation-----no more leaks!We feel very lucky to have found Matthew and greatly appreciate the outstanding job he did for us! Its very evident he has a passion for doing construction, and it shows in the high quality of the work he does. He knows what materials work well in the coastal area, and he went above and beyond to locate materials and workers we needed when they were in short supply. He just does what it takes and sticks with the job until its done. Matthew was also great about communicating with us and sending photos, which meant a lot to us as much of the work was done when we were out of town. He takes a lot of pride in his work, is very thorough, and wants it done right-------which is exactly what we were looking for! We couldnt be more pleased with the outcome and look forward to working with him in the future.
