I never met the owner, Tom, of Radin Electric. But I placed a call to his business on a Saturday in desperate need of an electrician. A breaker or fuse blew and no matter what switches I turned off and back on, my stove, microwave and kitchen lights were not coming back on. Tom, being the honest and kind human that he is, told me he didn’t want to charge me to come to my house just to flip a switch. I sent him photos and that’s when he solved my easy problem. There was a third breaker box on the third floor and sure enough, one switch was tripped off. After resetting it, all appliances and lights came back on! I was so happy that I chose this kind and knowledgeable man to assist! I mean who can be without a stove before Thanksgiving! Happy holidays all. And thank you, Tom for taking the time to listen to the problem and solve it! 😃 You’re a gem! Call Tom for all your electrical needs! He’s a good man.

I reached out to Radin to install a new ceiling fan based on the reviews. Tom and Sam were great! Tom called me to schedule within the hour of submitting the contact form online. I was able to set up a time within the week for the fan to be installed. Sam came to install the fan and was quick and efficient. This is the second time Ive used Radin for electrical work on my home. Both times Ive gotten excellent service.They were able to come out the same day I called them to give me an estimate on the job and got me on the schedule quickly. When they started the job, they encountered several challenges with doing the things I needed done but never gave up looking for - and finding - a solution to the challenges.The actual invoice came in higher than the estimate but it was completely understandable - and fair - given the amount of extra work they had to do to complete the job. I would absolutely recommend Radin to my friends when they need electrical work done.

I had sold some equipment to Tom and when he stopped by he noticed my service line was in bad shape. I told him I needed to find an electrician and he handed me his card so he came back looked at my power service and gave me a quote and I took him up on the offer. He was professional and polite and cleaned up after he was finished. Took him about a day and a half to finish when the other two companies said it would be three days. We have had no problems with the service panel since the upgrade.

Tom was incredibly thorough and before I even hired him, tried to talk me through several things. When he came to re-wire a few things to get key items off of a circuit with GFCI and outdoor receptacles, he found several things that werent done properly at build or when a generator was added. He went through, corrected all, explaining along the way and was fair with the price. If you want it done right, Toms your man.

We called Radin electric to check a breaker in the basement that would trip periodically. Tom and Sam were able to replace the breaker and also replaced some outlets that were outdated. We also had them replace 22 year old smoke detectors and add one in our workshop. Both Tom and Sam were very professional and explained everything they were doing, and made sure everything was clean and back in place when they finished. The price for all the work they did was very reasonable. We would definitely recommend them and use them for any other electric work that we may need. Even our dog like them! Thanks Tom and Sam!

Called Radin Electric (Tom) to have a couple outdoor lights replaced based on the Google Reviews. I was very happy that all the positive reviews are true. Tom called back and set up an appointment for the next day. On the day of my appointment, he texted me when he was on his way and arrived promptly. Tom and Sam did a great job putting up the lights and were both professional and personable. They made sure I was happy with the installation and cleaned up when they were finished. I want to add a ceiling fan in my kitchen in the Spring and will definitely be calling Tom at Radin Electric.

At every step of the way, he continued to check in with us to ensure he was meeting our needs. As his assistant was unable to help him on the job, his wife even joined him to assist to ensure he was able to get the work done as quickly and efficiently as possible! And on top of it all, they were very professional and respectful, helping both my wife and me feel comfortable with having them in our home and the work they were doing. Tom Radin from Radin Electric did a fantastic job with my kitchen light problem ! The lighting itself was horrible until Tom suggested 3 LED CAM FIXTURES which lit up the WHOLE kitchen area PERFECTLY !!! Contacted Tom via email in the evening about some issues we were having with GFI outlets in our house. He responded within a couple of hours and was at our house at the time he said he would be which was great as I had taken off work a bit early. We went through checking everything and he was explaining everything he was doing as we were going to each outlet. He not only took the time to fix our issues but he fixed them properly rather than quick and as easy as possible. We did have to cut some drywall as some outlets werent installed properly by the previous owner/builder but he made sure it was OK beforehand which I was more than OK with as I wanted it done properly and I was going to be touching up some other spots with paint anyway. I would recommend Tom any day for any kind of electrical needs and Im sure Ill be giving him a call in the future as I move down the to do list my wife has for me. He is a super friendly guy and very easy to talk to which in my book makes me a repeat customer for him when the time comes.

After an inexplicable loss of power to just a few outlets on two floors, and troubleshooting everything we could think of, we finally decided to call in a pro. Tom and Sam were very knowledgeable and friendly. They discovered that our house had been wired in an inexplicable way that only became exacerbated by whomever did the basement remodel before we bought the house and ultimately pinpointed it to a faulty outlet that I had changed a couple of years ago that just couldn’t handle the load of all that was being run through it (something like ten other switches and outlets). There was actually some melted plastic on it. They also offered other tips for a safer house and were very careful to clean up everything. Great team. Great technology. Reasonable prices.

After dealing with another electrician (appointed by our home warranty) for months and being unhappy with the service provided, I did some research and decided to reach out to Radin Electric and I’m so happy that I did! The two gentlemen that came to my home were professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly easy to talk to. They were able to explain everything they were doing in a way that was easy to understand and made me feel confident that I could count on them. Very good work. I had them install a ceiling fan. The installation required removing existing hardware and installing new fixtures to support the fan. Tom and Joe took the time to install the fan the right way. Even after installing the fan, they adjusted the balancing of the fan blades to minimize the motion of the fan. The work was fairly priced (on par with the average with the cost of an electrician per hour), but the quality of the work was top notch. They left the wiring above the room much better than they found it, and even repaired a damaged panel used for attic access.

After taking his measurements and getting pricing for new fixtures he gave me a quote which included installing my range hood. While he was there that day he went ahead and installed the range hood. He came back the next day and worked on my kitchen. I have a rather unusual lighting feature in my home and despite the surprises it kept giving him he did an outstanding job. Goodbye fluorescent lights and hello LED. He is a professional in every way and cleaned up and removed all debris. I highly recommend Tom.

This is the third time I have used Radin Electric. I just moved into a new house and discovered that two electrical outlets were not working. I called Tom and he came out the next morning. One of the issues was a fairly simple one and the other was a little tricky. He had to be creative and think outside the box to determine why the other one was not working. He did figure out and corrected the problem. In addition, I asked him if he had time to replace a couple of other outlets. He agreed to stay (unplanned) and install the additional outlets. I am so pleased that we arranged for him to return in a few weeks to replace all of the remaining plugs and switches since the existing ones are beginning to discolor. His charges are always fair

He took his time, he looked for alternatives and he checked and double-checked. In the end, he found that the problem was in the AC unit. Now, thats enough right there, but he went beyond that. He WAITED until the HVAC people came back (on a Friday after 5pm) and told them what he thought the problem was - and he was right. Radin should be on your call list. I dont say that lightly. He is a pros pro and I will call him for any electric work I need from now forward. Also, the pricing is so reasonable. I’m usually a DIY guy but I know nothing about electricity, except that Ben Franklin discovered it the hard way. Radin Electric showed up on time and was very professional. They spent more time measuring and preparing for the job than actually doing it. For us, that resulted in a perfectly centered ceiling fan, minimal drywall work, very little clean up. We didn’t have any wiring to our living room ceiling and spent many years in the dark and without a breeze. They covered our furniture with plastic wrap and even cleaned up afterwards with a vacuum. They kept me informed of my options throughout the entire process and I trust in their work. Hell they even offered me some Jack Links teriyaki beef jerky because I skipped breakfast lol!

I contacted Tom about replacing two exterior receptacles with GFI outlets. Tom took the time to explain circuitry to me and advised there was likely a GFI device already in the circuit to the exterior receptacle. With research, I was able to confirm the exterior receptacles were already protected by a GFI device in my basement. I installed weather protected covers on the exterior receptacles and the problem was solved at minimal cost. I appreciated Tom taking the time to solve the problem over the telephone to avoid a service call. I will certainly use him in the future.

Very happy to have found Radin Electric. Before even coming out they spent a good 15-20 minutes on the phone trouble shooting and explaining things to see if a visit would be needed or preventable. Turns out we did need repair. During the repair job we also had them quote to add 2 20V outlets (unrelated) which they were able to schedule and complete the very next day. They were clean, professional, and personable. Highly recommend them.
