    We recently purchased an older mountain home near Nevada City, CA, and were thrilled that it came with a Generac generator—an essential feature for our area’s potential power outages. Unfortunately, within the first couple of months, the generator displayed a critical error code, and we feared it might need a full replacement.Enter Precision Electric. Their technician promptly came out and got our generator back up and running with some much-needed maintenance.     I had a house main panel that needed to be replaced. Yancy came and quoted a reasonable rate. He was professional, friendly, and thorough.     We have always been satisfied with the work performed by Precision Electric. However, they don’t have enough techs to service the many whole-house generators they’ve installed in the area over the past 6-7 years. This creates a big problem during power outages for people with reliance on medical equipment. Minimum two-week delay getting service on a non-working backup generator is a huge issue. Hopefully they are close to resolving that problem.

    This was my first experience with precision electric. Two weeks to schedule an appointment but they moved me up a week which was great! Josh is very knowledgeable and does wonderful work. Glad to see they use the appropriate connectors rather than the wire nuts you see others using. Josh hooked up a wall oven and with the great work he did I decided to have him rewire my cooktop too. I’m fortunate to find an electrical company/technician I can rely on to do quality work!

    It was a difficult Generac whole house generator installation. They did an excellent job getting the generator into the chosen location, down steps and over rocks. It is heavy and it took 5 strong people. They added and wired a new panel and 4 Smart management modules for 240 v circuits. It was all done well.A suggestion I had was to better explain at first why they could not use the existing distribution panel (later cleared up). They handled the permit and the generator is operational. It was well done.

    On one of the hottest days in July, My A/C quit working. It was 98 degrees inside my house. After having my A/C company come out, it was discovered there was nothing wrong with the A/C unit. But, there was a burnt smell coming from a panel going to the generator. I live in Oroville. I called Precision Electric around 3:30pm, for they do all my yearly maintenance. They sent Larry after hours and he arrived around 6pm. He replaced the panel and I had cool air again. Thank you so much. I am so grateful.

    Unbeknownst to us, we had a bad GFI plug which was causing our electrical cords to heat up and one got so hot, it created a fire.     Precision Electric performs yearly maintenance on our Generac whole-house generator as I dont have time nor the expertise to learn how to do it myself. Their technicians behave professionally, show within the allotted time window, and answer any questions I have during service.     After failing to get a return call from several other area electricians I called Precsion Electric. I was immediately greeted by pleasantly kind receptionist who listened patienly to my problem and assisted me in scheduling an appointment. A week before my appointment date I received a call from the service person that they had an afternoon appointment cancelation and would be at my residence that afternoon. The electrician arrived exactly on time, was extremely courteous and qucikly determined my issue was faulty breakers related to my standby generator. He had the parts on his truck and replaced all four within a short period of time. The best part, the breakers were all under warrantly from Generac as a recall item and there was absolutley no charge to me at all, no parts, no labor, no service call charge. The professionalism and competency of Precision Electric is unmatched. I will never use anyone else for my electrical needs and highly recommend their services.
