    Adam was the BEST service tech we have EVER had come to our home for service. He explained everything with detailed whys when asked. He also took the time to answer every question about the Advantage Plan we have. McElroy needs more of him as he has a level of professionalism not seen in todays society!!!!     I could not find any service on Sat. morning and 4 days before Christmas. I saw the add in the phone book for McElroy Service offering 24 hour service. I phoned and they were at my door in Hastings within 3 hours. I needed a new furnace. They brought me a portable heater to use and installed new furnace and air conditioner on the day after Christmas. I thought it so special they helped me when everyone else was celebrating the Holidays. Highly respected professionals was what I saw and what I needed.

    The Reiters are so appreciative of the help we received from Adam this past Wednesday. He arrived earlier than our scheduled appointment, which was really nice because we had not had AC and had children and animals in the home. Adam was very knowledgeable and explained everything a way I could understand. He was very kind and respectful while he was in our home. He gave us good tips on how to keep our AC running smoothly. We were very pleased with the fast service, and he cleaned up everything so I didnt have to worry about a mess. We will definitely be using them again when needed. Appreciate their quick response times and help to get our AC working again.

Most recently Braedon and Cody installed a new hot water heater and upgraded the system for the new code - all quickly, with no additional mess - while being super respectful of keeping my mud room door shit for the weather and managing around my 100 pound puppy!     UPDATE: They contacted me and made things better. I still need a new unit and am working towards that, but they came out again and Chad checked my unit to make sure there was absolutely anything else they could do to help my situation. That is top notch service.I told him about my experience, he shared what they did and could have done better, he did some more troubleshooting along with refunding the previous charge and found that I indeed do need a coil and the best thing is to replace the whole unit.He gave me some more options and told me the kind of financing they offer. He made me feel at ease with the fact that he came out to check if he could absolutely do the best to make me feel comfortable with the situation. Ill leave the original post up, but know that they do have the best customer care. Maybe their tech had an off day, and we all definitely have ours.Original post: I was told by a friend to trust this company with all my HVAC needs. It all went well, I got their monthly $10 plan, which is for them to come out and look at your system twice per year. I figured, if anything is about to go wrong or break, they would let me know… not really. I finally had a problem with my system a couple of weeks ago and called for them to come out; the tech was courteous and looked at the indoor and outdoor units and tells me I need a new capacitor and a refill of the refrigerant, which comes to a total of $435. I pay it because I have an autoimmune disorder that makes me unable to regulate my body temperature. While we’re making small talk, a huge BOOM, followed by others a few seconds later. He goes out and fixes whatever made that sound… ok, weird. He leaves.About 3 days go by and the unit is having a heck of a time keeping my house under 72, I change my thermostat batteries thinking maybe that’s the issue and nothing. Finally, a couple more days go by and I set another appointment. Same tech comes to look at my system only to tell me the refrigerant leaked out and I need a new evaporative coil for the inside unit, oh and by the way, it will be another $2500 for that plus the refrigerant… WHAT!? I can’t do that! I don’t have that kind of money laying around! Why didn’t he check the pressure before? Why did he say the capacitor would fix my issue?My husband and I discuss what we’re going to do to fix this problem and the only solution we see is to get a new unit installed by a different company. My husband suspects that whatever that boom was, even if it was on the outside unit, may have been what damaged the coil. I doubt they will do the right thing and fix what they broke, but I still call to cancel the monthly plan, and a manager tells me that she will speak with the tech about what happened because their notes only said that my inside unit was frozen… so the tech missed the little detail about making my entire house rattle when the outside unit did whatever after he installed the capacitor. She said she would cancel the plan at my request and call me back after speaking with the technician. We spoke yesterday and so far, today at the end of the business day, I have not heard back from her. I am not a difficult customer or tend to get angry at people, specially service people, but this has me fuming. It seems they do a good job for others, but this time for me and from my point of view, it seems the tech was here to make sales more than to provide a much needed service. Hope it goes much better for future customers.

    My compressor started to make a bad loud noise like a helicopter so I knew it was something with the fan. I couldn’t get it to stop. I called McElroy and they sent Nick out within the hour.     They have always been honest and their work excellent. I recommend them to anyone if they want to be treated right. The prices for their work and parts are very reasonable. I trust them to take care of my elderly mother and sister. Get on their service plans also will save you time and money. I have also had their furnace and central air unit all replaced by them a year ago and they worked around picking a warmer day so my mother wouldnt be without heat for very long.     Garret and Geo did an exceptional job servicing our gas furnaces and exploring our concerns as well as our hope to be more green for the environment while using less fossil fuels to heat and cool our house. Both were extremely friendly and knowledgeable and provided us with verbal as well as written information. Their Advantage program seems like a great option, (though in full disclosure, my wife and I havent had a chance to talk $$, yet, so I cant fully review that program unless we chose that route)!McElroy Service Experts puts professionalism into the backbone of what they do. In the past, we have found many in the heating/cooling service industry here in Hastings, NE to be rude, dismissive, and disrespectful to me and my wife, but McElroy was a breath of fresh air. They listened to our concerns didnt man-splain because we are females and were very respectful about making sure they wore shoe coverings and cleaned up any messes they made. I would highly recommend their services.

    Deb the receptionist was amazingly nice and helpful. She cared so much about my comfort she told me to call someone local to get my A/C fixed faster because of how busy they were, but i failed to find a non sleazy local option that could get to me sooner. They are very transparent on scheduling which I love. Ive also used these guys before and they were amazing and never made me feel dumb when asking questions. I made sure to choose these guys because of the advantage program because I never want to think about this stuff again and I know I can trust McElroy. Which is great cause Im ADHD as heck. Nick was a dope HVAC tech! Geo was our sales rep and was never pushy for higher sales and anything of the sort. He actually pointed out why higher end models wouldnt work in our current layout and it was really refreshing not to have a salesperson pushing more and more stuff at us.

    Finding a plumber you trust is hard. Getting someone to respond to your inquiry in a timely fashion happens less and less. Getting someone who respects your time, your home, makes it easy to schedule an appointment, keeps it and does what they say they will when they say they will is rare. These guys did it all.     They were willing to offer us a membership to help save us money every year and on parts if needed! We signed up for that and I called around 3:30pm and they were able to get to us that evening! When Chad arrived he informed us that the A/C unit was low on freon so he refilled then informed us we probably had a leak and would check that once he filled the freon. Chad unfortunately didnt have enough freon on the truck so he had to run back to GI to refill his tank and then return. When I told him I didnt want him to do that as it was already 6:30pm and he said It was not a problem and he didnt want to leave us without A/C all night as its too hot in here to sleep anyway. I tried to argue but he was more than willing to finish the job! Then when unit was filled he checked for a leak. Come to find out the leak was so large that if not fixed it would leak out all the freon again and wed be in the same problem we were now in a week or less. So Chad drained the system, fixed the leak, and refilled the system with freon!! He was here til 8pm!! Just so my family and I had a working A/C unit!! So thank you Jenne (sorry if I spelled that wrong cant read Chads writing :) ) for getting us a tech that day and a huge THANK YOU to Chad for working out in that heat, running back to town to complete the fill, fixing our leak, and getting us such a great deal on price!!! Very satisfied with McElroy and very glad we started our membership with them and will be using them and no one else in the future!! Oh and Ill be sure to tell everyone I know about this absolutely amazing company!!! Thanks McElroy!!

    Our entire experience with McElroy has been excellent, starting even with our phone call which resulted in a quick response from the receptionist/secretary. Bryan came over within an hour from that call, after we got home and found the house was stifling due to the AC suddenly breaking down (actually it was unrepairable). Michael came that evening as well and helped us pick out a new system (it was clear from the beginning that our AC/furnace needed replacement). The price was very reasonable and fair.     Love McElroys!! We had a new heating and air conditioning unit put in Monday September 26th !! They were very efficient !! I would recommend them to anyone!! They came to work at about 7:15a.m. !! Finished the job at about 2:00 or so! Love our new unit!Bryan and Phil did an excellent job !! Thank-you so much for the basket also!!
