    We had a pretty significant job that needed to be taken care of in our older 60s home: updating the service panel, replacing the line mast, and running new circuits in the kitchen and living room. Karsten came in with a bid significantly lower than the other companies and the electrician who came to do the initial inspection seemed friendly and honest so we went with them.The guys that came out to perform the work, Ethan and Tim, did a fantastic job with no complications and were pleasant and professional.Cant recommend Karsten more!

    Our breaker broke, shutting off our fridge. Shawn was out within 15 minutes. Not only fixed it, but helped walk through the steps of what he was doing so we could try it ourselves next time. He also offered a ton of free advice on details completely separate from the call out. We will definitely use Karsten again.

    Wow! Incredible service. Smoke detector on 13 foot ceiling battery went out and beeping on Saturday. Shawn was there within half an hour to fix. Highly recommend and will definitely use again.

    We have used Karsten Electrical Services for all of our residential electrical needs for years. They are professional, friendly, and a great value for high quality and thorough electrical work. We have contracted Karsten Electrical for small and large residential services. Their latest job involved installing a new electrical line, subpanel and EV charger in our garage.     Karsten has don a lot of work for me and I have always been pleased. Their prices are reasonable and their work is excellent. They stand behind their work. After they interconnected my smoke alarm system I had a mysterious chirping at night. They came out 5 times to troubleshoot. As it turns out, it was a separate carbon monoxide detector hidden behind a blanket. Jake was good-humored, kind, and professional.

    Karsten Electrical, and Shawn specifically, came as a strong recommendation and we asked them out for a complete home electrical remodel project. Shawn came out for a site visit, explained everything professionally and demonstrated a clear wealth of expertise about everything we needed to consider about a project of our size. What I appreciate most was Shawn broke down the reality of the cost of the project versus the age of the home, and challenged us to honestly consider whether we wanted to invest this much into the house (is this our forever home?). I appreciate that his candor came at the risk of not closing a deal, and that he clearly cared that the job would be in our best interests, not Karstens. Ultimately, we decided to sell the house and move, and not ask Karsten to do the electrical upgrade, but Shawns honesty and integrity definitely earns my recommendation, and will earn my future business where ever my family ends up next.

    Ive used Karsten previously at my home but recently needed someone to install a 20amp dedicated circuit at a neighbors where Ive been helping with a project.Cody came out and did the job expertly and quickly.     I am writing this 5 star review before even receiving a final quote based on the professional and kind service we received from our estimator, Shawn Mc Auley. I led Shawn around our property and house to point out all of the potential needs for service. During this time, one of our cats escaped (my fault) through the front door. Immediately and without question, Shawn jumped in to help. Capo was acting ornery, ran across the street and into a drainage pipe. I mentioned to Shawn that this could take a while, and he was free to go. Shawn insisted on staying until the cat was safely back indoors, and it did indeed take some time and patience. Today is the next day and we are looking forward to receiving our quote and hopefully moving forward. But I had to start here with a 5-star review no matter what happens, based on the memorable service of our first interaction. Thank you Shawn and Karsten Electrical Services!

    Had them come and install 4 fan boxes in each of our bedrooms and wire them to the swag lamp switches so that I could install ceiling fans. I was able to complete the quote and schedule entirely through email, which is convenient for me. Their quote was the most competitive I received and the tech who came out was prompt and courteous. Id have no problem recommending them based on my experience.

    We hired Karsten Electrical as a subcontractor to complete the electrical work in our basement remodel. Their proposal was the most complete and detailed quote we received; it was clear they had done this many time before. They asked us a lot of questions and recommended features that we hadnt considered and changes to what we had initially described to ensure that the finished basement was perfect. Their staff (Larry primarily worked on the project) was always prompt and professional. All change orders were handled with written requests so there were no surprises. They have continued to provide prompt and courteous service after the project was completed.In summary, Karsten Electrical knows what they are doing. They werent the low bid on the project, but they were the best value if you care about quality workmanship and project management.

    Shawn and his team are excellent. We get many power outages throughout the winter and gusty fall, some for extended periods of time (1-2 days). I dont have a generator that can handle the entire house yet but Shawn and his team put together a solution which keeps power outages civilized.They put in a whole-house surge protector at my request to help protect my home from the bouncing power. They installed a plug which allows me to connect my generator to the entire home at a moments notice. They installed an interlock system that doesnt allow the generator and utility power to hit the home at the same time and cause damage to the home.Once the install was completed, they helped me determine what could be run at the same time. We can run all of our normal electrical needs such as TV, internet, the well pump (we have water during power outages now!) and induction cook top or microwave. If we need hot water, we need to turn off all non-essentials and let the water heater run until everybody takes a shower and then we can go back to entertainment mode.Shawn and his team are extremely knowledgeable and helpful, even in unusual situations like mine.

    I used Karsten to provide electrical services for a mobile injection control trailer we custom fabricated. They installed several hundred feet of conduit, wired two control panels, two power panels, a 3 phase to single phase transformer, and dozens of flow meters, solenoids, outlets, heating circuits, etc., all in a 34 ft. trailer.They were terrific to work with. Karsten was responsive, listened (refreshing that was), and provided a high quality service on time and within my budget.I would recommend Karsten for any residential or industrial job like I had!
