    This past Sunday Mr Boyd B. with Mr Handyman came over and did a fabulous job of power washing the exterior of our house. It’s literally been years since we’ve seen the honey-gold shades of the cedar siding. He is professional, very knowledgeable, hard-working and dedicated to doing a job completely and well done.He was also very gracious and helpful with a few miscellaneous extra tasks, like moving a desk and putting the chain back on my chainsaw.I would very highly recommend this man and Mr Handyman for any work you need done.

    I had an excellent experience with this business from start to finish. I had called after hours, left a voicemail and was called first thing the next day. She scheduled my service and gave me an estimate over the phone. They worked with my available time and I was able to schedule the service on my first choice! The handyman Karl came exactly on time, to the minute! I was worried one person couldn’t get everything done in the time I had but he got it done in one hour less! He cleaned up the “mess”, was kind and courteous with asking about my pet, keeping the door closed and locked after going in and out. Definitely worth it to have someone who knew exactly what he was doing! Would hire again in a heartbeat.Service done: Hang mirrors and swap fan to simple light fixture.

    The Handyman technician arrived within the scheduled time; was courteous; professional, and was skilled in performing the needed task of opening the drywall where the leak was. He was able to assess where the leak was coming from. The technician covered the area with plastic so as to not dirty-up the work area. He also did a thorough clean-up at the end of the work done. I was very pleased with the service!

    Boyd was very efficient and did a good job with all the things I needed done. He was a former home remodeler so knows all about the inside workings of a house. He changed all the parts out of my grill and it should last another 5 years plus. He did some work on my window flashing and changed two water flushers inside the toilet. I would recommend Boyd and Mr. Handyman. They do everything you need done around your house. 3rd time I have used them.

    The person who did the work spent the whole day at my house and did a great job. He even got the paint for me at the store! He was very friendly and picked up all the trash afterwards! He painted several inside doors and replaced two light fixtures. It looks amazing! 🌿🌻

    Mr. Handyman technicians did a super job refurbishing or buildings back stairway. Much of the structure was aged and failing. They were able to replace a significant amount of the wood structure without tearing down the whole thing.

From the first phone call to the contractor showing up to my door, the staff was polite and friendly, and respectful of my questions and my time.     Boyd with Mr. Handyman achieved all the miscellaneous jobs I needed done, i.e., wall mounting T.V.s, hanging pictures, patching walls and touch-up painting, etc. in less than a day with meticulous attention to detail. Ill definitely be using again and highly recommend!

    I contacted Mr Handyman initially just to install drywall in my 672sqft detached garage. Who know they would basically remodel my whole garage for me! They framed and installed 2 doors, did a bunch of electrical work including installation of can recess lights as well as switches and movement of multiple outlets. They installed my flooring and wall paneling upstairs which is way better than I imagined with beautiful trim around the floors, windows and doors. The mancave is now complete thanks to Jake and Jarrod the installers and the client concierge. Yes I recommend them for any minor or like I had done, major home project. The pictures I included are of the media room above the garage, my place of zen. Thanks again guys

    I contacted Mr. Handyman of Richmond, after having laminate flooring installation in the upstairs hallway come to a halt, by the company doing the flooring installation tell me that the floor was not balance, and they could not continue until the floor was fixed. Wes, from Mr. Handyman was sent over to look at the floor and Yogi was sent to fix the problem. I appreciate the work that was done and will have Mr. Handyman of Richmond do more jobs for me.

    This company was very professional from the very first phone call and they called to let me know that the repairman was on the way. They did a very good professional job on removing rotted wood and replacing with new wood on my front porch canopy as well as replacing a board on my shed. The repairmans name was Yogi, hope I am spelling correctly, and he kept me informed all along repair and I am a very satisfied customer.

    Boyd did an excellent job on all projects. Installed laundry room doors, replaced door thresholds, replaced trim and painted shed door, removed satellite mount and diagnosed gate door issue.     Yes I would recommend Mr. Handyman of Richmond and I would use them again without hesitation. Maurice did a great job. He was professional, polite, and respectful. He put up closet racks for me and I was very please. His work was neat and efficient and I was surprised that he did not leave a mess behind.Even though there was a little misunderstanding with the original time that Maurice was supposed to arrive, Amy at the office kept in touch with me and she made it convenient to work with my time.     The techs did a good job completing several projects at my home NOV and DEC 2023. The techs were professional and friendly and completed their work in an outstanding manner. I ordered several items from Home Depot and the techs picked up the items from Home Depot before coming to my home. I have several additional projects that I will use them to complete based on the outstanding performance they showed on these initial projects. The support staff was also helpful in coordinating the projects. I appreciated having someone I could speak with about the projects. I highly recommend this company if you have projects around your home you need completed.

    I had a mantle custom built and installed as well as some drywall repair in ceilings. Chandler was my Handyman. His craftsmanship and consultative approach, creative design and flexibility was tremendous. His standard of care can best be described as “extremely high”. Overall, I recommend Mr Handyman without reservation.

    Update. Even though I dont agree with how the pricing is done, I changed my rating because Mr. Handyman had the person come back out and correct the hole in the wall and provided credit. I appreciate the effort of making it right.I gave 3 stars because the person was very nice and professional. I didnt give 5 stars because I dont like how the pricing is done. You cant give people a price range and start the clock with the handyman arrive if they are not ready to work. If you have to talk with me first and then go back out to your truck to get all your tools and ladder, that is time not working that I am paying for. I asked multiple times when making the appt does the person need to come out to see what needs to be done first and was told no, so unlike other companies who dont charge to come out ahead of time to see what needs to be done and dont charge you Mr Handyman service does charge you. They charge you the day of. When the handyman arrived, he didnt have any tools or ladder. I showed him the windows, and then he went to his truck to retrieve his tools and ladder. The time should start when you are ready to work, but instead, I found out the time started when he rang my doorbell, so in actuality, I paid to show the windows. Then, the nails were drilled in the wrong area and had to be removed. He filled the area once. But to properly correct that more time would have been added to the clock, I didnt know that I would have been charged for someone correcting their mistake. My opinion you stop the clock to correct your errors. Any professional knows you cant fill a hole once that it settles and you have to come back refill and then sand. It was only done once, so now either I have to correct it or get someone to come out. I am very particular about my home and how things look. No, I cant honestly recommend a company that says no one needs to review what needs to be done ahead of time but charges you for it when the tech arrives. I like transparency. Either you have set prices, or the clock doesnt start until the tech is ready to start.

From start to finish, the level of service Mr. Handyman, has provided as a company, has far exceeded my expectations!From the service concierge (Tiffany) at the office, who processed my quote and got me scheduled right away, to the service technician (Stephen) who handled the (outstanding) work, the communication was impeccable, considerate, timely, and effective, overall! Stephen, and the team, were attentive to my vision and requests for the work to be done through both projects I hired them to complete. The work was completed to my detailed request, and I did not experience any unforseen expenses I was afraid might show up at any moment.The only surprise I experienced, was how impressed I was with the level of quality of the finished product and service Mr. Handyman delivered.

    From Tiffany greeting me , listening to my needs and getting me an immediate appointment with just a few pictures I sent of my kitchen cabinet issue, I was impressed with the ease of the whole process. Jake showed up on time. He was super nice and explained what the plan was and the time frame. I work from home and the gentlemen were diligently working on my repair not disturbing me at all.     I have used this service for several jobs, including installing ceiling fans, installing a glass/chrome bathroom shelf, caulking bathrooms, and repairing ceiling cracks. In the most recent service, Kenneth identified how my drywall had not been screwed into the ceiling and that was why my ceiling cracks had been occurring so frequently. I last had them repaired them less than 9 months ago. Kenneth was able to screw into the drywall to make sure it was firmly in place and caulk and seal the cracks. I now feel assured that my problem has been fixed. I would definitely recommend this company for a variety of projects. I felt that I received excellent service for the money paid during each visit.

    Mr. Handyman repaired a damaged door jamb attached to sidelights within 30 minutes at a very inexpensive price which other businesses quoted me over $3k stating the entry door and sidelights must be replaced. I thank Mr. Handyman for their willingness take on this job during a time when all Americans to include me a disabled veteran need to stretch every dollar. Highly recommended for all Handyman jobs anyone needs completed by knowledgeable professionals.

    I contacted Mr. Handyman to get a quote and set up replacing siding on my home with hardieplank. We agreed on a price and set a date.2 gentlemen, Kenneth and Jarod got to our home at exactly the time that they were expected. These 2 gentlemen worked so hard all day and were able to finish the job in 1 day. The work that they did was excellent. They were so helpful and pleasant. When we need more work on our home we will definitely call Mr. Handyman and request our job be done by Kenneth and Jarrod.The entire experience from beginning to end was wonderful.

    I will definitely use this company again! I called about getting my siding and sheathing repaired as well as filling a gap between roofs. The receptionist was super friendly and helpful. The day of the estimate/repair, Jake B. showed up right on time. He was really nice and explained everything well. It turned out that my sheathing was actually okay and he explained how it was a microfiber cardboard material used a lot in the 90s and that was why you could press your finger into it. It wasnt rotted! His estimate for the job was much lower than I anticipated which was a huge relief. He worked in the drizzling rain and still got the job done. It took about 4 and a half hours but he only charged me for 4 since that is what he quoted me before. I thought that was very generous. Jake was very friendly and helpful in his explanations. I highly recommend this company and especially Jake B.

    Mr. Handyman of Richmond got me out of a jam, and they did it fast! I basically got a complete inner rebuild of my 3 bedroom, 2 bath ranch style rental property. Mr. Handyman of Richmond even saw that the backsplash didnt quite turn out right so they took it upon themselves and fixed it without me having to ask. These guys are awesome, a bit pricey on the labor, but you really do get what you pay for. I would recommend these guys.

    Amazing service! Truly kind and wonderful people in every department helped me with something most handyman places wouldn’t want to take on because it’s not a huge expensive job. Just installing a custom handrail might not mean a lot to others but for someone who needs that in order to get up the stairs it’s the whole world. And they went above and beyond from beginning to end. Reasonable prices, excellent service, checking on what works for me, and it was less than the estimate!! I mean wow that never happens!! My Handy woman Maraiah was an incredibly talented carpenter and Patrice who set it all up was kind and delightful! I’ll be using them again

    My introduction to Mr. Handyman was the conversations I had with Amy, Patrice and Tiffany for quotes on various projects we have on the house we bought Christmas Eve. All three were patient, kind and never pressured me to spend more than we can afford. These women were the reason I kept coming back to Mr. Handyman to schedule work when we could afford it.Stephen was our handyman. He was polite and super personable. He tried very hard to handle our installation issues. He was careful not to damage our 70-year-old brick, which we appreciated.When problems arose on our installations, Amy went out of her way to try to resolve them. She makes you feel more like family than customer. I was surprised when Any told me the owner of the company wants to come take a look at our problem. Who goes out of their way like this these days?We’ve put a ton of work into our 1950s house in the last 90 days. Homes like ours need a lot of work. I’m so impressed with the owner, Amy and their staff that I’ll keep calling on Mr. Handyman for repairs we can’t handle.     We go out vinyl floor fixed for a spot that was damaged, I’ve had other handyman say it would be to hard to fix, but he was able to find a very close match.     We had a wonderful experience with Mr. Handyman. They initially set up an appointment for your work but put you on a list in case there is a cancellation or their workers have some extra time. This way, we got our work done ten days before our actual appointment. They sent two men, John and Carl which was fantastic as they completed the project twice as fast. When you are paying by the hour this is great. Both were incredibly professional! They explained what they were doing every step of the way and pointed out things about our house that we were not even aware of.     I dont suppose everyone would find this organization as perfect for them as it has proved to be for me.But listen up!First, in the long run, it is less expensive than arranging contracted work with the bigger companies. Mr. Handyman fellows I have met, do not complain, gossip about co-workers, pass the buck if a project is not completed satisfactorily. I have been able to communicate clearly and without the constraintsof cost detailing before the work has begun. The hourly wage struck me as high at first but if you prepare for the projects, all you have to do is point and command! I often work along side and have a favorite, Mr. Bill,with whom I do have a friendship now. They repaired and stained our backyard deck, painted the exterior of the house, which was built in 1890, and so involved dealing with old windows, and old brick and a very old exterior overhang outside our front door, which involved dealing with some delicate woodwork and some tight spots. They were able to paint the flashing at the top of the house, around our gutters, and also repaired and painted the old wood exterior windowsills, one of which was badly corroded. We were very pleased with their work. And the final cost was below their original estimate.

    Thank goodness for Mr. Handyman!! I loved the promptness, smartness of the technician (Chris). He worked fast and did not try to add anything in order to charge me more.     Wesley M from Mr. Handyman completed a variety of services for me from hanging a gate, to reattaching a falling fence, to replacing a rotted board on my back deck to caulking a leaking door plate to power washing a large 25 year old backyard fence. Everything was perfectly executed and Wesley was a joy to have around. Communication with both Mr. Handyman and Wesley was professional and timely as well. Overall, a great experience!

    I called this morning for service and Paul was out here by 12:15 pm. Repair completed within one hour - he had all the necessary tools and supplies (sheet rock, insulation) with him. He was very personable, explained the problem and the solution and the likely cause of the problem, left everything clean when he was finished. Could not ask for a better experience. This is my second time using Mr. Handyman (the other was to fix a gutter and some trim that broke off in a hurricane) and both have been excellent.

    Weve used Mr. Handyman a couple of times - for woodwork and plumbing. Theyre always on time, very polite, and did a really good job.     Mr. Handyman came out to fix my fascia boards behind my gutters because they were rotted out. My initial reaction was that this was going to be a big job. The first tech that came out was very knowledgeable and said the job maybe bigger once he got into it and higher up off the ground. So he needed another tech to help him. They coordinated with their other jobs, and pulled another tech the next day, which was very convenient. They quoted an 8 hour job but only took about 6 hours saving me time and money. I was very happy with their service and integrity!

    We have contracted with Mr. Handyman three (3) times over the last few months. The work we have requested has included such diverse items as installing lights in the attic, installing doors, repairing/replacing screening for a large enclosed porch and storm door, reinforcing stairway hand holds, replacing parts in a dishwasher, and replacing electrical plug. In particular, their employee John (a major jack-of-all-trades) has been of great help.They are there when they say they will be there, they pace themselves so that they get the maximum amount of work done during the session, and are always courteous and polite.No hesitation to recommend them!!

The fellow came when they said he would; I had a picture of him so I knew who to expect.
