I chose this company( even though they were not the lowest bid) because they presented an outline of the job step-by-step with photos. Jon, the estimator, stayed in contact with me and showed how my choices for the stain would look before my final decision. Customer service has been great…I thoroughly recommend them without hesitation.

    We chose Klappenberger because their estimator, Jon Anderson, was exceptionally thorough in evaluating the carpentry and preparation before painting. We knew that this would be extensive and that getting it done right was the key to making our investment in painting the exterior of our home a lasting improvement.Klappenbergers foreman and chief carpenter, Westley, made Jons promises real by following my instructions exactly: dont save me money by doing it cheap, do it right.Westley told me, as he and one other fellow were taking care of minor punch list items, that he likes working for Klappenberger because they want to do the best job possible and support him in doing so.That kind of says it all.

    Klappenberger & Son Painting did an excellent job painting the exterior trim of our home and replacing some rotten wood. From meeting Jon Anderson, the Senior Estimator/Production Manager, and Westley, the project manager and his crew, all went smoothly. They were able to coordinate the painting with the roofing/gutter replacement company, doing the work first where the new gutters would be located, then returning when the roof was replaced.Our home improvement project was a success and we will hire them again when we need some interior work done!

    My experience with Kalppenberger and son was beyond exceptional, but there are only five stars. It started with their office staff, easy to reach, informative and accommodating. Then Alex shows up, literally on time to the minute. He is dressed professionally and is not pushing his agenda. He listens to what I want and provides his expertise when I ask. The project is flexible, I was allowed to provide the paint and chose those windows I wanted painted; the more accessible ones I left for me to save money. The crew was friendly, efficient and did a professional job in only 6 hours! Alex contacted me immediately after the project was finished an offered to come over and look anywhere I might have a concern. I had none.     Klappenberger & Son did a great job restoring our ceilings and painting our interior, as well as removing some built ins and patching some walls. We had textured ceilings in many rooms that they completely smoothed and look brand new now. The team worked quickly and were here every day until the job was complete, and they were professional and kind to work with. Jon Anderson was in constant contact to help walk us through the status of the project and did a number of walkthroughs with us along the way (Thank you Jon!).     We used Klappenberger & Son in the past for our deck and were very happy, so when we were looking for inside and outside painting we looked for them again. This time we worked with Montgomery County group of Klappenberger & Son. When we had them in for an estimate we found they performed other services. We hired them and they did excellent work. We found they also power wash. We would hire them again if we lived in Montgomery County. I would recommend them to those looking for quality work at a good price. Alex and John were the best to work with.Note: We do not list companies as five star as nobody walks on water, so from us a four star is the same as other peoples five star rating.

    Updated Review (October 2023): The Klappenberger team (Wilson Ramos and crew, Jon Anderson) returned to make some warranty repairs. The paint job had some issues with premature peeling and discoloration in spots, probably due to weather conditions at the time of the original work. This happens and not the fault of the crew!Many thanks to Wilson and team for honoring the warranty and coming back to make repairs. I so appreciate their follow up and care. The entire experience was excellent, from scoping an estimate to the work itself to the follow up to ensure satisfaction. Given the age of the house, there were some unexpected challenges to the project. The team proved flexible to change work on the fly and remain within budget.I want to give a specific shout-out to Jon Anderson, the project manager and estimator. He not only provided great service but also took the time to make a precise, careful estimate. For example, he asked detailed questions about the existing, older paint, and was the only one of several contractors who correctly identified it as oil-based and provided a cost-effective upgrade. This companys estimate process is hands down the most professional operation I have seen in over 20 years of hiring folks to to work on my homes. Jon Anderson arrived at our place exactly on time, took detailed measurements, patiently talked through the job and got back to us when he said he would with an extremely professional, fair and detailed quote.We decided to use a different contractor on this job--but only so as not to break the work up between two companies (which they were fine to do)--but we absolutely will be hiring Klappenberger & Son for our next project and we will be asking for Jon by name.

    It was first rate. Throughout the process the guys kept everything neat and clean. They had to fill holes in the doors of the cabinets since the new pulls were a different size and you cant tell where the originals were at all. They showed up every day at the time they said they would. Were super responsive to me throughout and either the foreman or the project manager came by daily to check on the work. And they played with my dog! What could be better? I will definitely use them again. The best painters I have ever used.

    Klappenberger & Son painted the outside of our town house. This included replacing rotted boards, and painting the gables window shutters and front door. All work was professional and completed on time. We only had 1 item on the final walk through which they completed the next day. I liked that the final payment for 2/3 of the work was not invoiced until we were completely satisfied. I would definitely hire for my next painting job.

    Half the price of other quotes. Called back immediately, showed up in a day to give me a quote. They were able to schedule within two weeks after a later scheduling conflict arose! Looks incredible and they cleaned up great. Finished a day earlier than estimated. Not a bad thing to say, wouldnt use another.
