    My house is over 125 years old. My sink was gurgling and toilets running slow. I called late on a Friday and got an appointment first thing on Monday. I was given some helpful advice on how to manage the situation over the weekend. The main line was blocked with tree roots and some baby wipes. Mark and his son were prompt, polite and courteous and did a great job unclogging the main in less than an hour at an incredibly reasonable fee. Mark was great at answering questions I asked about possible problems in the future, and maintaining an open line, and he suggested calling back in 6 months or sooner if a problem arises. I highly recommend this plumber. I like to support local businesses. There is a trust and confidence there that you dont get with the Big companies.

    I worked with this company to get a new hot water tank through a home warranty. The company is beyond excellent and supportive and they work hard for my business. I can’t say the same about the home warranty company however. I spoke with one of their managers, Bobby Who is a straight shooter and gives me all the necessary information to make the appropriate decisions for my home and my family. He sent out Alex and Johny, who are very respectful and worked diligently to solve my issue. Highly recommend the company I will definitely bring them back , if I ever have more work.

    We had Greg come out to unclog our kitchen sink drains. He was personable and professional (he needs a raise! :D) He fixed our issue within 20 minutes even though he had to go back to his truck to get a bigger snake and the price we were quoted, which was far more reasonable than every other plumber we tried in the area, was still the same by the end of the visit! Couldnt be happier with his work and highly recommend them! This has been an issue for months so now I can finally use my kitchen and cook in it again, which saves me even more money in the long run!     We have water & sewer line insurance through Dominion. When we called Dominion because our sewer line was broken, they sent out these guys. They came out and did an assessment, then a week later a crew was out repairing the line which was broken in the middle of the street.Im really picky about repair work done to my house, and usually do all the work myself. If I did, I couldnt have done a better job than this crew. Extremely polite, didnt mind me occasionally looking in the hole to see how things were going. And I really enjoyed the hair bands from the 80s music they were playing. :) The entire crew, but Randy in particular (one seriously hard-working dude) was awesome!Couldnt have asked for a better experience.

    I had a warranty issue with a Rheem hot water tank. From my first phone call to the office to the technicians that came to my house to make the repair I had nothing but a great experience with Mayes and Sons. The scheduling of the repair was done at my convenience and the technicians kept in touch with me to tell me exactly when they would be at my house. Jacob and his assistant were very professional and explained the repair that was needed to the hot water tank. The repair was done quickly and cleanly. They cleaned everything up and thanked me for my business even though this was a warranty repair that was of no cost to me. I would highly recommend Mayes and Sons.

    They went above and beyond for my blown water tank. They drove an hour and 45 minutes away to help me, next day service.They even called into my warranty to check coverage before they replaced a few extra things that I did not know was going to also be an issue in the long run.     Very happy with the experience we recently had in dealing with a plumbing issue. The technician, Landon, called in the morning to let me know what time he would be arriving and he arrived in the said time frame. He was professional, listened to the issue we were having and once he diagnosed the problem he had it repaired in a timely manner. Since we were going through our home warranty, Landon handled all the paperwork and processing afterwards. I was very impressed with the relationship between Mayes and Sons and our warranty company.....made the entire experience less stressful. Great job too for the people back at the office answer phones, answering questions and making appointments. If I should ever be in need of having a plumbing issue resolved again.....home warranty or no home warranty.....I would feel very confident and at ease giving Mayes and Sons a call. He arrived in a timely fashion and repair was made through the tiny access hatch. the plumber was able to get it done withoutwithout having to take apart the surround on the shower wall.     If I could leave 10 stars I would. I rarely am blown away by service these days and Mays and Sons blew me away.They were prompt and responsive while setting up the appointment to replace my main water line.I ended up being out of the house for meetings all day and wasnt able to be there, so my wife and kids were there all day which always makes me a bit nervous. The team that came out was more than courteous of both my family and my property. They were extremely clean and tidy. Left absolutely no sign that they were even there inside my house and fixed my yard and landscape where they had to dig to replace the line.I received quotes 5 times the price of Mays and they all required trenching, my entire front elevation to be dug up and my front porch to be removed. Mays used some special equipment and only had to dig two small holes in my front yard. No damage to my concrete walk ways and minimal damage to my yard (They planted grass and leveled off the ground so once grass grows in there will be no sign they were there.)I literally cannot say enough good things about not only the crew that came out to my house but even their office personnel and support team that handled my appointment scheduling were on their A game.Such a refreshing experience. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

    Justin checked the main line and found it open and clearly flowing . That eases my mind. I just wish we could have resolved the odor Im getting. Im very glad there was no blockage..Additionally: Left my home for about 2 hours to run errands and when I returned and opened the door, the odor was overwhelming. I am not going to have any choice but to call another company to assess this. I have a 1 year old here and can not tolerate this odor. Justin was here less than 30 minutes. Im glad there is no blockage in my line, but my home should not smell like a sewer. There has to be an answer and a solution.

    Mark and Casey were amazing. They came out to snake my sewer line when I had a critical backup in my basement that other plumbers couldn’t fix.     The service I received from Mayes and Sons was wonderful! I called on a Saturday and they had someone out that day. They had to replace a pipe for my shower that my husband broke trying to fix himself. The price was very reasonable, which I thought would be high for a weekend call. The service guy David came and checked everything and explained that it was my pilot light which I never even thought of.     I reported that our water heater was leaking to Home Serve at 7:40 on a Saturday morning. I got a call back from Mayes and Sons within an hour. Someone was at my house by 10 to confirm that we needed a new one, and by 3 the new one was in. What really impressed me, though, was that they did a quality job. It was installed with soldered copper pipes, not flex lines, and they put in a commercial-grade water heater, not a Home Cheapo one. I dont know what their prices are (it was covered by my service plan), but I would guess with their efficiency its pretty competitive. And their responsiveness is unmatched.

    They were professional. Clean. And upfront. Did what they were supposed to do. They were sent by the warranty company. So that was my experience with them through the warranty company. But they were way better than the other guys the warranty company sent my way. They wore their masks without being asked. They were polite and respectful and clean. My technicians name was Jacob and his helper was Mason. This was just today on December 4th 2020. They came all the way out to Lakewood. I spoke with Landon, I believe his name was, the day before. Cause I had to reschedule go to an already set doctors appointment. Which I would’ve been charged a fee for for canceling in that short amount of notice to the doctors office. Landon was very understanding and respectful. And they kindly rescheduled me. For the next day. I didn’t get bumped to the following week or something like like most other companies might have done. Very professional and they don’t waste your time or theirs. But like I said I didn’t hire them directly it was through the warranty company for the water heater issue. So there you have it. So thanks guys, Mayes & Son, Landon, Jacob and Mason and scheduling office/administrators behind the scenes. Take care. Hope this helps someone with making a decision about Mayes & Son.They came again on 12/10/20. Again I didn’t have to wait. They came right away. Very professional and respectful and nice. The technician’s name this time was David. Again they didn’t waste my time. They were sent by the warranty company again. But they were able to find the issue and repair it. And get it all done that day. Not go back and forth over a few days. I suffer with chronic pain. So I could not be in the basement with them this time. But via phone they kept me informed. When they left. They called from the basement explaining what they had done. Then they left out the basement door. And when I would call them to get updated on what was going on down there. And even when I had questions when they left. They didn’t seem annoyed or bothered that I was calling. They answered the phone and addressed my issues and answered all my questions. Again the warranty company sent them I did hire them myself. So I couldn’t comment on pricing. But from what I saw they’re upfront. And worth calling to get the job done right the first time. I thought they were going to have to replace the whole water heater tank. But they took the time and found the problem. Rather than just replacing it like the warranty company sent them to do. They found the real issue instead. So I was good to go in no time. Hope this helps people trying to decide on Mayes & Son. Thanks.

    The quality of service provided from Mayes & sons Plumbing was exceptional. Communication from David (the owner) was in a timely manner as well as complete and concise. I was never left in the dark as to what the plan was. This includes when Bobby from Mayes Plumbing was sent to my house, and came (without delay) to initially evaluate the job, and then inform me as to what the prospective plan was. On the day of scheduled repair, Brett (the foreman) was ahead of schedule, introduced himself and recapped the plan with me. He and his team were professional, and polite. They did not waste any time, and completed the work in a timely manner. After the job was complete, and the crew had left, the job site externally was so clean, that other than raked soil with seed and straw, there was no indication of any work done.     I can not say enough good about this company. I had a back up on Super Bowl Sunday, I called my insurance company and they directed me to this company. Lynn called me right away and was so good at just calming me down and figuring out what was going on. This happened at 8:30 PM (I had another company out on Jan 21st and they wouldnt snake my lines, said no back up) She took down all my concerns went thru my records and talked about what can be done. (I had just had my basement redone because of a back up in Oct) Frist thing with morning I get a call that they are on their way. Mark an Casey showed up and went right to work. The cleaned out the line and gave me some good advise. I will be removing a tree issue. If you want great customer service from the phone call with Lynn to talking to the guys who came out. I highly recommend this company. Wish there was a higher rating the 5 star.

    They did a great job on repairing my sewer line. They were very friendly, efficient, Willing to explain the process And did not seem bothered by all of my questions. I would definitely recommend them. What I was not happy about was the lawn restoration. I think they must have used FILL dirt. My lawn is full of rocks. I am not happy about that at all. They did spread grass seeds and cover it with straw, But there are rocks everywhere. When I think about long restoration I would have thought they would at least covered the lawn with top soil and not leave it for full of rocks. Thats spot stay dug up are patchy and rocky. If it were not for the problems Im having with the lawn they would definitely receive 5 stars from me .

    Had a disaster turn into a very pleasant event. Our hot water tank began to leak very badly and we could not get hot water. Called the distress number for the gas company that my plan called for and was turned over to Mayes Plumbing. They called promptly early the next morning to get necessary information about the tank, said they would be out between the hours of such & such and they showed up. This gentleman got out of the truck introduced himself to me and away he went in a swift precision fashion to installing my new hot water heater. We chatted about many different subjects as he continued to work and not be distracted in any way. He finished his work in an amazing short time by doing many things at the same time.     Last Friday after returning from vacation, we discovered our 15 year old water heater bit the dust. We have a Dominion Plan through HomeServe & they contacted Mayes & Sons Plumbing.     Dave and Patrick did work at the place where I live and these guys were AWESOME! They got here first thing in the morning and immediately got to work replacing the water main from inside all the way out to the street. But when Mayes arrived she had listed only the 1 repair not the 3 I requested.     My water heater died Saturday night at 11 pm. It was under warranty so had to wait till Monday to have it replaced. Landon and Josh communicated well before arriving, performed the task with professionalism in a timely manor and made sure everything was working as should before they left. All was fixed before noon on Monday!!

    The representatives they sent were so ready to get out of my home that they didnt wait to make sure everything was operating correctly. When i called the office the manager came out and tried to void my warranty so he could charge me an enormous amount of money...NEVER would recommend them...NEVER..although i felt like this.i now MUST revise some of things I said ..i forgot to mention that two people stood out and made me feel that they do care about the customer..the managet Bobby took the time out to apologize to me about what happened and told me he felt that i had misunderstood what happened..in rhis day and time i want to say thank you..i was just stressed out and i like to say thank you to Joey...who made me feel that he cared abou what i was going through...i appreciate this companys concern for their customers and everything isnt on the repairman..these warranty..are somewhat confusing and deceptive..smh..i should have read all that was covered..thank you again Bobby for the call

We had another plumber working in the house and said it would cost another $10k to dig up the front of the yard. When we came to find out there was nothing wrong there.
