    We recently had a power issue to our home. Dustin and his crew came and replaced our meter box, installed a whole house disconnect, grounding rods….even used stainless steel clamps and didn’t leave any scrap material behind. Very, very knowledgable and easy to talk to. I will use Selectric for all my electrical needs!

    Selectric Services did an amazing job on my house project. During my home inspection we discovered a grounding issue and incorrect cable run to my detached dueling unit. Dustin and his team got the work done in a day! Cleaned up everything as if they were never even there. I highly recommend Selectric Services.

    As a plumbing manager I always run into situations where we need an electrician to handle the things that cross over into their expertise that my plumbers couldnt and shouldnt do. Thankfully we have Selectric to help us out.Ive used Dustin and Selectric for the past 10 years to handle anything electrical. Hes always been fair with the price, and always done top quality licensed work. Hes earned my trust and respect and Ill readily recommend anybody to use Selectric.

    Dustin installed a Generac generator at our house. I appreciate the way he kept in contact with me about the process and actually ended up installing it earlier than anticipated. Highly recommend!

    Its hard to find service providers in Galveston who are wonderful AND show up on time, every time. Dustin and his team show up when they say they will (or keep you updated if theyre running late), AND do a great job EVERY time! I originally called Selectric Services to install some exterior lights from Nautical Antiques early last year. Since then, theyve installed everything from a programmable light switch and an exterior plug, to a whole home surge protector and (most recently) a manual transfer switch to get our generator up and running after the hurricane. He was able to squeeze us in to make sure we didnt go without power longer than we needed to. I highly recommend Selectric Services, and we wont be going back to another electrician now that we found Dustin and his team!

    My electric bill was very high recently, so I called Selectric with my issues. I spoke with Dustin, the owner, and he was able to come out and address my issues within an hour of my phone call. I really appreciated that along with the work they completed. Dustin takes the time to explain everything, which was nice for someone like me, who knows next to nothing about electrical problems within a home.     They have done several jobs for us, including a surge protector, outdoor flood lights, and indoor can lights. We are very pleased with their work. They are professional, friendly, and show up when scheduled. We would not use anyone else. We would highly recommend them. They do great work.

    I had partial lights out. Called Centerpoint, they said one of my legs was out, needed new breaker box. I found Dustin. Called him and he was here within 1 hr. Explained everything and that he would return that afternoon. Lights fixed, inspected and all!! Highly recommended for electrical needs!!

    Lights were flickering in the house. Wanted to make sure any issues were addressed. Reached out to Dustin who said to contact Centerpoint as 9 times out of 10 it is a loose connection. Centerpoint was out there by 1pm that day only to tell me the wiring to the meter needed to be replaced. Dustin immediately took over. He went to the city to pull the permit and got to work on the issue. He stayed until almost 9pm that night to make the repairs and had the city inspector out first thing in the morning. If you want someone who is going to treat you right and do a professional job all around, Selectric Services (Dustin) is who you call.

    Selective serve (briljant name) was so helpful.We have a beach house that we air b&b and of course when something happens we need people asap. The showed up right away and where so professional and helpful it looked like one little thing but than we find out that the builder had used indoor wire for outdoor lights ( huge fire hazard) the fixed it and the left than we found out that one switch was still not working we called they turned around and came back to fix that as week. Great nice people ! Very happy customer

    I’ve used Dustin and his crew at Selectric on four different occasions since purchasing my 1901 home two years ago here on the Island. They joys of owning these old homes, right?! He and his crew always do amazing work. They are punctual, courteous, professional, knowledgable and thorough. I especially appreciate the time Dustin takes to not only explain the issues, but show them to you, and walk you through why it’s important to have them addressed and finally showing you the finished work. I never have to worry about the quality of work, and that’s something that tends to be a rarity in today’s world.Something that may not seem important to others, but is to me... Dustin takes the time to try to connect with people on a personal level as well, which adds to my overall comfort level when dealing with his company.

    I called Dustin in order to have our electric configured for the new tankless water heater. He answered any questions that we had, and fully explained how things are going to go ahead of time so there are no surprises. Very upfront about the price with no hidden costs.     Highly recommend. We provide critical rehab services to animals and Dustin was quick to get us back online by working us in right away.     Woke up with power out to half of my house. Called Selectric, spoke with Dustin and explained the situation. Dustin said it sounded like a CenterPoint issue and suggested I contact them first before he comes out and charges me for an inspection. Followed his advice, he was right, repair done and power restored at no cost to me. Dustin will be my first call for any future electric issues.

    Dustin and his crew at Selectric were great to work with. Highly recommend! They helped install and hardwire some Ring Doorbell and Ring Floodlight devices at my property. They were able to walk me through my options, give me an accurate estimate, and do a quality job. Even when we ran into a potential snag due to my house being 113 years old, they had a clever solution ready! They were on time and kept great communication up throughout the process. (That seems harder and harder to find in contractors these days). Thanks again Dustin and Selectric!

    Dustin and Walker are an efficient team that we highly recommend. On the occasion of this review, they came to the rescue after my own failed attempt to install a Nest Doorbell in our new home. Of course, they had it up and running quickly and helped me understand what I was doing wrong. Over the years they have done lots of work for us from repairing broken outlets to installing a charging station for our electric car. They even installed a surge protector for the whole house. These guys love their work and it shows!

    An electrician recommended by a neighbor did not show up for the appointment. Due to the great reviews, I called Selectric Services and Dustin came to my house within couple of hours and fix the issue within couple of hours. He is an outstanding electrician and a gentleman.     Dustin made a very unnerving situation easy. I lost stable power on a Saturday evening. He came out on a Sunday morning within an hour of my call and fixed my problem. They talked me through my options and never tried to “upsell” me. The work they did was flawless and met my expectations completely.     First Class Service. I volunteer for TMMSN dolphin rehab on the island, Dustin was able to come out on short notice and fit us in (twice in one week) to fix several electrical issues we were having. The timely repairs kept critical equipment needed to continue to care for our patient running. Dustin was very thorough and was able to discover an issue that several other electricians missed. He explained everything in easy to understand terms and gave us a fair price.

    I had a whole house surge protector installed recently. I had the work performed on a Saturday and Dustin had no problem scheduling me for the first Saturday that worked for me. He called 20 minutes prior the appointment time to let me know he is on his way and came in right on time. Installation was done in no time and he left the area cleaner than he found it. Would hire him again for all electric services.

    Absolutely amazing service. I contacted this company today ay 3:30pm and inquired about service for my home. Dustin was very professional and stated he could be at my home at 4:15pm. Even after discovering he didnt service my area, he still continued with his original agreement and arrived at my residence. The problem was remedied in less than 15 minutes.     Dustin and his team came in and rewired all the knob and tube on the first floor in our Galveston home in 4 days. This space is about 1000 sf and he also repaired the poor electrical work a previous contractor did. We are very impressed with his pricing and professionalism.     WHAT A PROFESSIONAL COMPANY!!!We moved to Bayou Vista, TX not quite 3 years ago and we have had four different electric companies come out to diagnose why various circuits kept tripping the GFCI’s or the actual breaker. No one resolved the problem, all they did was test a few circuits and say it was a bad outlet and charged us an arm/leg; and, when they noticed incorrect installs or old outdated equipment, they just bypassed the problem and....just made it work. Well, THANK GOD!!! we found Dustin Shoemaker, LLC (Selectric Services) in Galveston. OMG, he was AMAZING. He immediately diagnosed the problem (as well as noticed/advised us of the poor/incorrect wiring and equipment previously used) and without hesitation – he fixed it; all within ½ the time the other companies took us for; and his price was very fair. His equipment (outlet, covers, wires, etc.) was nothing but high quality. Dustin went beyond his call of service; he explained how things worked, exactly what he was doing and why--all while working (how rare is that). He also provided an actual itemized receipt, on letterhead (which others did not--even when asked). This receipt provided a complete detail of what he did and specifics to locations to the house/boat dock. Being in top management for over 25 years, I can truly say Dustin Shoemaker, LLC / Selectric Services is an organized and structured company, with Dustin being highly professional and knowledgeable, with the skills and capabilities to perform any/all electrical needs; all which are encompassed by an outstanding personality to provide a superior customer service.     Im working on a remodel and Walker did a phenomenal job installing under cabinet dimmable lighting, dimmers, moving a dryer outlet, and installing new wiring for lighting, switches, and outlets throughout an unfinished basement. My GC was really impressed with his attention to detail when his electrical work required drywall damage; he was blown away with how careful he was to keep the drywall cuts neat and tidy making it very easy to patch!

    I will always use Selectric Services for all of our electrical work needs. Dustin is extremely professional, helpful, patient and responsive. He did several jobs for us including adding fixtures, putting in a 220 for our hot tub as well as hooking it up after he had already installed the 220. He and his crew were exceptional. We are real estate investors and have a number of properties. We have used many electricians and none have come close to Selectric Services and/or Dustin.     I hired Selectric Services to replace an old breaker panel, upgrade my service panel, install some outdoor outlets and trouble shoot some electrical wiring issues. Dustin and his team pulled all the correct permits, provided me all the documentation I had requested, showed up on time, properly setup the job to protect my flooring and furniture, discussed all the findings and any changes that needed to be made. We discussed and agreed on price before anything was done or added to the job. Selectric completed the installed in the agreed timeline and cleaned up after themselves. I would strongly recommended using them for any electrical projects.

    I am new to Galveston and finding the right company/people to work with can be very daunting. However, I am so glad that I chose Selectric Services and would gladly use them again. Dustin is quick to respond and very easy to talk to. I had a convenient appointment set up in a timely manner and someone arrived at the exact time we agreed upon. Walker was sent out to do the actual job and he is just as pleasant to work with as Dustin. These guys are just genuine people and you can tell that they really enjoy their line of work.
