    Stellar work by a skilled and caring crew. Field Supervisor was available for follow-up, as the to-do list keeps growing.Handyman team made quick (and exacting) work of original list and pivoted to additional things in my list, much to my delight. Project coordinator updated paperwork and we got it done. I was lucky to have their time that day.The Painting Team is really who blew me away. They repaired decades of prior bad paint jobs (some by my kids). It feels more like a restoration than a paint job.Can’t wait to see what else they can do for this old place!

    We had a number of varied items to add or fix in our home, such as changing out a chandelier, replacing a bathroom fan, and adding stair railings in multiple places. Some of the projects turned out to be more difficult than anticipated. All the work was done professionally and carefully and the workers cleaned up after themselves each day and at the end of our projects. We recommend JW Home Improvement for home repairs. They did a great job!

    JW Home Improvement did a great job on a problem that I had for a long time and was unsure how to fix. Not only did they handle that issue but other unrelated problems around the house. Additionally, very good advice was provided by Marcos. I wont hesitate to use JW again. They dont do only large projects. They can help with the smaller to-dos as well. And the price was more than fair.

    We had a punch list of items that needed attention for our office ranging from adding an electrical outlet, adding weather stripping to a door, and patching drywall. Everyone we encountered at JWHI from Bryannah in scheduling, Josh for the estimate, Janice at the office, and most of all Cesar who did all the work, were professional and courteous. Compliments to Cesar for quietly and quickly going through the punch list during our offices working hours and getting everything done spotlessly. Cesar displayed a great sense of understanding of each task and how to efficiently and economically tackle them. For example, he noticed we had left over wiring in our storage area and used it instead of buying more. We have decided that we will keep a list of items that need attention and call in JWHI when it is enough to meet the daily minimum. The pricing is not the lowest, but the responsiveness and quality of work are well worth it.

    My experience with JW was pleasant. The whole staff I worked with were very professional. James & Josh Metz from the initial process of getting scheduled and providing the estimate. Alejandro Lopez and Antonio Vasquez were great, efficient and work was done well. In closing, Janice Chuck was very helpful and timely with any questions and additional assistance I needed. They are a little pricey compared to many others but rest assured, things will flow seamlessly working with JW.

    We bought our first new dishwasher since buying the house and Home Depot wouldnt install it because the electrical wiring wasnt up to code and they wanted everything moved. JW Improvements knew exactly what they needed and did a clean job. Home Depot had no problem installing the dishwasher the next time!

    We had our shutters replaced, the exterior of our deck painted, and some general repairs done. The work was completed in a timely manner despite the challenges with rain. Communiation was excellent about arrival times. The team I worked with was efficient. Josh, the estimator, is easy to work with, offers suggestions, but is not pushy about doing things and even suggested I not do a few things, which I greatly appreciated and builds trust. Joe did an excellent job and creatively covered a doggy door by creating a lap of wood, which looked better than I expected. He was hard working and cared about doing a great job. The other team members were also pleasant to work with including Vern, Weldon, and Janice. I would highly recommend them and look forward to working with them again on future projects.

    A few weeks ago during a heavy rain I noticed some leaking from a 30-year-old roof we had put an one story addition.The technician, Fernando Aguilar, showed up on time, found some exposed nails where the leaking had occurred and filled them over, all in the space of about four hours. JW Home Improvement has been my. go-to handyman service for the past five years.

    Denis was wonderful. He was pleasant and hardworking. He did a beautiful job and left the work area spotless when he was done. Every time I go out and down the rebuilt porch steps into the yard I have to smile. The steps and the railings look marvelous. I am delighted with his work.     Mr. Fernando Aguilar arrived on time. Discussed with me first about the drywall repair project. He did a great job. The edges were aligned nicely and the connections were seamless. The fixed drywall was smooth and uniformly painted. It was hard to tell where it was fixed. He also painted the other two side walls, so the whole area looked new..It is also worthy of mentioning that Your reception representative was a gracious person and Josh Metz quickly accommodated my request for estimation during the severe snow storm. I could not believe that the project was not delayed due to the snow and completed as planned.thank you JW Home improvement!

    Couldnt be more please with the work done by the Team for JW Home Improvement. Have used them every year for the last four years for routine maintenance projects in the Spring, but this year they really hit it out of the park. Vern and David couldnt have been better, and consulted my wife and I every step of the way, making suggestions they thought might make their work pleasing to us, add value and appeal to our home, or, conversely, wouldnt add anything to the project. And every time we had a discussion, they made it very clear what the proposed changes would to in terms of cost and timeline to the work. And the end result far exceeded our expectations! The little details they includes, and the simplifying of access to things spigot, outlets and transformers has made a world of difference to our outdoor space.Have used JW before, will use JW again, and will absolutely recommend them to anyone who asks!

    I always panic when I see water damage. In this case it had come through the exterior wall and had started damaging the walls and the molding. Albalto and Tomas knew how to fix it and they were done in half a day! They even hung a big picture and fixed my curtain rack! They are awesome!

    I was very impressed with the attention to detail and the commitment to delivering exemplary service. As an example, I was having a bathroom tub re-caulked. After they did it, the technician (Ben) said he didnt think the color of the standard caulk looked good, he checked in with me about it, and redid it the next day. One aspect of the project also ended up taking longer than expected and they couldnt get it done in the projected timeframe, but Ben and Marcos made sure that they were there first thing the following day to make sure it got done and I didnt have to wait weeks to get back on the schedule. They also said at the beginning that theyll leave everything as clean a they found it. Ive heard that from contractors before, but this was the first time it was actually true! I couldnt have been happier with the quality of the work.

    These guys are the best, as good a service experience as Ive had, in any field. I met Josh, the estimator, who came first to assess our problem--water damage to a front window that matches another window that wasnt damaged. He immediately saw the problem, explained how it happened, and described what needed to be done. He gave a fair estimate with a wide range, explaining that until they took things apart, they wouldnt know exactly what the cost would be. The work was done by Denis and Pedro, who were just as knowledgeable and skilled as Josh. Although they were on an hourly rate, they were hustling, hustling the whole time they were working. They came in at the low end of the estimate I was given, avoided having to remove our whole window, and leaving it still matching the other undamaged window. That was surprising to all, it didnt seem like that would be possible. By the way, we got a few estimates for this work, some were not interested because it was too difficult and uncertain, and another gave us a ridiculous estimate WAY higher than JWs high end estimate (and again, JW woundup at the low end of their estimate). Talk to these guys whenever you need some work done, they are great!!

    JW Home Improvement finished working on our basement. They repaired, prepped the drywall, and painted two rooms, with all the trim, and fixed one of our French doors. They were very careful in their work and did not cut any corners. Kent Morrison and Pedro Yac were the crew members who did all the work. They arrived promptly, working through the day with very little, if any, downtime. Kent and Pedro are very skilled at their work. They were very polite and professional. Their customer service is exceptional. As we plan on finishing our basement, JW Home Improvement will be our first stop in getting the work done again. I highly recommend contacting JW Home Improvement for any work that needs to be done. They are a 5 star company.

    My project coordinator Darrick and the estimator Fernando were excellent communicators and addressed my needs and budget. The technician, Denis, did an outstanding job soft power-washing my painted brick Cape Cod, stone walkways, steps, stairwell, concrete driveway, two landscape walls and deck. I had forgotten that my flagstone stair treads and lead walk were blue. Denis restored them to their original color. My Trex deck had been full of moss due to the shady backyard. All that is gone and it looks great. Im very happy!

    Ive used JW for 3 different projects. The first was to install an indoor banister. Excellent work, cleaned up after completing job. 2nd repair a hole in drywall behind stove. very limited space. Job was done in record time which allowed for project #3 create acess door to water heater. Installed not a door but a removeable panel for a fraction of the cost. Gave me a much needed financial break! Beginning of the year, repaired drywall following a large plumbing project. secured to indoor banisters, replaced and readjusted folding door over washer/ dryer in basement. Lus Tomas is the team member/worker youve always sent. Im always amazed at his quiet efficiency and spreed. I could not rate him more highlyIve used JWHI yet again. April thriugh May. replacement of gutters and other high priority work. plus 21/2 years ago m I scheduled a prokjet. My sister died and given tight finances I was able to not only reshedule the project for a leter date... but with amazing consideration my deposit was refunded. I think thanks to their collector Janice Chuck who has also been extremely helpful in answering my questions and helping me out with specifics of the billable part of my last project April-May 2024.

    We have used JW Home Improvements several times. The most recent time, was a pesky leak in the master bathroom.After getting an estimate from Josh Metz, I was felt that I was ready for anything. The crew from JW, Cesar and Jimmy came to the house, assessed the situation and got to work. The crew determined that they could make all the repairs in half the time. That had a really benefit to the budget. The whole time Darrick, the project coordinator, stayed on top of the progress and ensured that I was in the loop. By the time the JW was finished, there was no evidence that there had ever been leak! Everything looked great!!!Whenever we have home repair, cleaning or remodeling, JW is our first call.

I’ve used them many times over the years for indoor minor handyman work to improving the short steps on the patio for our safety.     Although I thought the initial estimate for my job was overly complicated and expensive, every thing worked out well in the end. Technician Cesar Miranda was outstanding! He was able to find an easier (and thus less expensive) way to install an exhaust fan in my bathroom where there had not ever been one. My house is older, has a window and building code did not require a fan at the time it was built. Its on the main level of my house with a bedroom above it. I had been told more than once that a fan could not be installed because of the BR above and an enclosed porch addition connected to it so I was happy that JWHI said yes, we can do that. Originally, the plan was to build a drop-ceiling bulkhead in the bathroom and adjoining bedroom to route the duct for the fan thru to the back of the house and outside. Cesar recognized that the bathroom ceiling was a foot or more higher than the ceiling of the side sun porch which allowed short direct access to the outside to vent the fan. What had been expected to be a 3.5 to 4.5 day job was reduced to 2 days! The ceiling repair and repainting of the bathroom were also expertly done by Cesar.

    After a electrician/and another contractor failed to show, JW Home Improvement was recommended to me. I called and they showed up same day i called to give estimate. Once we agreed to scope of work, we set a date. Due to a snow storm, they called and rescheduled for 2 days later. They were prompt, courteous and did a fantastic job and finished in the time promised! We are thrilled with their work and very much expect to hire them again for our next project!     We had a small bathroom that needed paint and tile and a bedroom which also needed painting so I asked a good friend who just had their kitchen retiled who did the work. They said that JW had and that their customer service and workmanship was amazing. So I took their advice and called JW. From the initial phone call to the final bill JW communicated clearly and professionally. They sent an estimator (Josh) who estimated the job at about 4-5 days. Josh called the office while at my house and was able to get me on the schedule for the following week. JW sent 2 guys (Alberto and Oscar) to do the work and they worked very diligently and were friendly and punctual. The paint and floor look amazing and they were even able to tackle some other tasks which were not estimated. (Hang a mirror, replace the deadbolt and some caulking) Even with the extra tasks they managed to finish in just 4 days. I love the work done JW and would suggest them to anyone in need of home repairs.

    JW has done a lot of work around our home. The office is generally good at scheduling and being responsive to phone calls and emails. Any scheduling snags or confusion was always professional and promptly dealt with. For our cabinet install, Cesar and Luis are courteous, communicative and paid attention to detail. For floorboard repair, Justin was very thoughtful and cautious about complications or other issues. JW might not be the cheapest, but they are reliable, do great work and you can trust them to make things right.

We own a 100 year old DC row home and asked JW Home Improvement to help us repair and freshen up our main staircase. Further, he was on-time or early every day, communicated the jobs positives and negatives very well, and was actually a joy to be around. He was awesome completing each task, built everything on site, communicated clearly, worked with us to navigate loud parts of the project with our WFH needs, always on time, worked clean, and was kind to our curious kids and dog.The 4 stars are for some of the communication issues we had working with JW to get everything ordered and scheduled.     In late August 2020, JWHI technicians Cesar M and Luis T worked at my house for part of a week to repair a variety of outdoor wood trim rot, stucco cracking, water leaking, and concrete issues. The work was performed outstandingly, was cost effective -- came in under JWHIs up-front time and cost estimate -- and all is now well with the exterior of my home in preparation for winter. All JWHI work was performed on time, expertly and safely, and the technicians removed every bit of rubbish and garbage from my yard before they told me they were done. In specific, Cesar and Luis repaired and painted the repaired wood trim around my Tudor-style house that had suffered woodpecker and carpenter bee damage, patched a big, deep hole in the concrete by a stone wall on the patio, patched and painted cracked stucco above the garage door, built and painted a neat access door under my back porch, and .. perhaps most importantly .. successfully addressed the issue of water leaking behind stucco over the houses front door! For three years a number of technicians have tried to find and fix the leak over the front door. All failed. Not only did Cesar very quickly find the leak and fix it: Cesars leak fix has been solid, and we have no more leaking in that area. I most highly recommend JWHI for any home repair work of this and similar nature!

    I am a repeat customer of J&W. I have been pleased with the help I received on questions - Janice Chuck was the person who helped a lot. I am not living in the property and she was good about sending photos and tracking down answers to questions I had. She would always get back to me in a timely manner.One of the big reasons I came back to J&W is that they clean up after themselves - this is really important when you are at a distance and not there each day to oversee operations. It also speaks well of the technicians and job supervisors. The company was always willing to review procedures and invoices which is important when several jobs are being done by multiple crews.     I have a 100+ year-old house and have used JW on a variety of projects over the years. They have done mundane work such recaulking the bathtub and more creative projects such as installing a metal bar on a bedframe to keep the mattress in place. They primarily have replaced wood rot on porch flooring and footings, column bases, and windows and have carefully painted the new installations.I have always been satisfied with their work.     Finding a good handyman (individual or business) has been a challenge over the years, so I have been delighted by my experiences with JW Home Improvement. We hired them to deal with a number of problems about a year ago when we moved into a new dwelling. More recently we brought them in for another two days worth of work. The company obviously selects employees carefully, so we dont need to worry about competence or honesty. Their employees know what they are doing and work hard - they dont waste time. I intend to continue hiring JW whenever I need a handyman in the future. The only potential limitation is that they normally have a minimum of 4 hours of work, though I understand they are willing to waive that occasion. That hasnt been a problem for us, because weve been able to let minor problems accumulate until the total needed time exceeded 4 hours. This is actually more convenient, because we only need to meet them once. They always arrive on time.

    JWHI is a fabulous home improvement contractor. You could not ask for more from a professional/construction services contractor. They start by providing an on-site estimate (though there is a modest fee, it is well worth it). There is great value in a contractor having eyes on your job before they quote it. They then provide a comprehensive estimate and review your scope of work in great detail. Scheduling the work was easy, and the two technicians that worked my kitchen project were polite, professional, and gifted craftsmen. JWHI was so easy to work with, and the result of my kitchen renovation was everything that I asked for. JWHIs pricing is fair and reasonable, and I would absolutely work with them again and trust my home remodeling needs to them.

    We needed to rebuild the vent work behind our microwave so the fan would send air outside. But the job required cutting open the wall, moving and rebuilding the ductwork, and relocating an outlet. JW sent us a guy who could handle all those things, and he was done in less time than even he estimated. He even had to do the entire job wearing a mask. Highly recommended work.
