    We hired S.D. Painting to repaint most of the rooms and several of the radiators in our home as we were preparing it for sale. To say that we had a superlative experience with Spiros would be a gross understatement. He was flawlessly professional, thorough and engaging. He treated our home as carefully and respectfully as if it were his own and the work he did for us absolutely transformed the rooms in which he worked. His prep work was extensive and comprehensive, from repairing small cracks in the wall before painting, to re-caulking an entire bathroom where the moulding at the top of bead board on the walls’ lower half met the painted surface on the walls’ upper half to repairing, taping and sanding a hole in the wall of our dining room. Once his prep work was complete, his painting made the rooms shine like new. Our home has a number of rooms with rather intricate woodwork that we’ve painted a slightly different color from the rooms’ plaster walls. The connection between the two colors is now seamless and the rooms look better than they ever have. And the price for all of the work that Spiros did for us was beyond reasonable. I would hire S.D. Painting again in a flash for any painting work I need done. In fact, I would not bother even putting the work out for bid to anyone else. I would only work with Spiros. If you need painting done in your home? Stop reading and pick up the phone. You’ve found your company.

    This is the second time I used S.D. Painting, and Spiros did a great job painting my house. He takes care of whatever he notices that needs attention - loose shingles, boards that requires repair, etc. It was a job well done, and it shows! He also comes when he says he will, and completes the job in a timely manner.

    S.D. Painting was fantastic to work with painting our entire house exterior. Spiros and his small crew are best-in-class painters who are a joy to work with. Spiros came out and gave a reasonable quote and managed to stay on budget even as little things popped up. He was incredibly thorough, making repairs where needed and communicating different options the entire time.     Spiros is an absolute and consummate master of house painting, inside and out. If this sounds overblown it really isnt. We engaged his services a few months ago as we prepared to put our house on the market. His work in our 110 year old house made the difference! He repaired old ceilings. He built two closets and transformed our large walk-in closet in the master bedroom. His paint was perfectly applied, top to bottom. Our house was transformed. And he did a great thing for our large painted deck and stairway, as well. Posted here, a coat closet he built.

    Spiros is an excellent painter with fair prices. Several neighbors liked his work so much that they have hired him too. He painted the exterior of our shingle house using brushes to get in between each shingle, and replaces wood as needed. He also power washes and stains our wood deck. Highly recommend

    Spiros completed three painting jobs for me including an interior room, the exterior of my house and the exterior of my shed. The interior work included wallpaper removal, plastering and painting. The exterior work included replacing shingles, rotted wood, a gutter, fixing my back door and rebuilding the side structure of stairs. Spiros work is exemplary and he pays careful attention to detail, fixing carpentry issues before painting. He and his team arrived on time (actually, early!) on each day they worked, ready to go. For the outside work, Spiros provided advice on paint colors and my house looks better than I could have imagined! He even painted decks, stairs and my bulkhead doors. The prices are clear and Spiros discusses additional costs as needed. Spiros and his team are also fastidious about cleaning up each night; this was appreciated for both the inside and outside work. I would definitely hire Spiros again. I highly recommend him for all your painting needs.

    Spiros and his team did a fabulous job cleaning, prepping and painting my fence and painting an interior hallway. They also fixed the ceiling in the hallway – everything looks brand new! From the first time I contacted S.D. Painting for a quote, Spiros was responsive and helpful. They were professional and punctual and were very careful around my gardens when working on the fence. And they did a great job cleaning up at the end of every day. Just a wonderful experience all the way around. I would absolutely recommend S.D. Painting, and plan on using them again for all future painting needs.

    Update. July, 2023 Spiros just completed a full exterior job on our Victorian with cedar shakes. An outstanding job. It’s all in the preparation and there was incredible attention to detail. Just what you need in a house painter. Careful repairs to trim and shingles as needed and reasonably priced. I’ve had the house painted 3 times previously and never had such a thorough job. Highly recommend for both interior and exterior work.Professional job and very well done. We had extensive areas of lathe and plaster that needed to be repaired and the final results were incredible. We had a big job—3 rooms plus bath on 3rd floor and entire staircase/hallway from 3rd to first floor with wall paper removal and drywall repair as well. . This took 22 person-days of effort for a total cost of $11,500.

    We have used S.D Painting for 12 years and always with great confidence and satisfaction. Spiros does meticulous, excellent work, including plaster repairs to the ceilings in our nearly 140 year-old home.     S. D. Painting Co. was a great choice to paint our house. Spiros and his crew did a great job. They were respectful, accurate, diligent and efficient. Spiros was always on the job and having the boss present makes all the difference. They were very diligent in terms of following directions and were very willing to make changes along the way as requested - no complaints, no excuses, etc. They worked a full day each day and came on schedule. Having predictable work hours made things very predictable for us. The price for the job was reasonable and fair. The best thing was that all carpentry issues that needed attention were all addressed including glazing windows, repairs to porch and other trim before painting, etc. It was rare and refreshing to find a company that exceeds expectations rather than disappointing. Of course, this likely outcome becomes very predictable as soon as you meet Spiros. Great work and a beautiful result. Thank You.

    Spiros did an excellent job repairing the water damage and painting the ceiling in my house. He was very punctual, neat and professional.     SD Painting did an outstanding job painting our house and making needed repairs to windowsills, porch deck and replacing shingles. Spiros was clear about costs, schedules, possible solutions to problems and responsive to our questions and concerns. He was personally on the site for the entire job. The preparation, clean up and quality of the work were all excellent. We plan to use SD again for interior work.

    We hired Spiro to paint our whole interior house and we also needed the tile replaced for our bath and kitchen. Spiro and his crew did an excellent job.     Spiros was a joy to work with from initial contact to completion of project (painting 3 rooms, including ceiling repair). He replied promptly to my initial request; came to look at the job within a day or 2; sent a reasonable and complete estimate shortly thereafter; scheduled a date for the work; and began on that date. The job was completed within 3 days. The work was excellent… especially the repaired ceiling, which was barely noticeable when he was finished. Spiros clearly has pride in his work – he insisted on redoing a few areas where he was not satisfied. Spiros arrived when he said he would each day, and tidied up at the end of each day, so there was very little inconvenience to me. He was very professional throughout, and respectful of my property. I would definitely use him again, and would recommend him without hesitation.

    I hired Spiros for a deck and outdoor painting (single home). Highly recommended. Highly skilled painter (and handyman), works alone with a helper. Days start at 8:00am and end at 4:30pm. Stays on site all day long. No days off (except Sundays) until the job is complete. No other job in parallel. Willing to accommodate unexpected additions to the original job description that pop up while working. A very pleasant personality. I will definitely hire him for our indoor painting.

    Spiros painted several rooms in our house in the winter of 2020 and the outside of our house in the summer of 2021 and we are happy with the results of both projects. Spiros is very thorough in his prep work and we are certain that the paint will last for many years. He made sure the work environment is kept clean at the end of each day, and, of course, at the end of the project.Spiros is pleasant to work with and explains the process well. He cares about the final look of the job and during final touch-up painted our house numbers that we had not noticed needed painting - a small detail that made a difference and is a testament to his attention to detail. He also gave useful advice about how to care for the surfaces he painted.

    Wow, what a tremendous job....SD Painting is the real deal.Spiros, the owner is very professional, you need to hire him if you want a job done right!! We had him paint the extertior of our home, his prices are very reasonable, very tidy, great workers, and excellent communication.He and his team take so much care about the prep work, they also did a great job replacing some wood rot, overall job was fantastic..So much so, that some of our neighbors were wowed by their workmanship and attention to detail, and also hired them!!!!
