    Prompt response & excellent service! We needed to replace our water heater over a weekend. I called on a Saturday night, they came out quickly the next morning, and we had a new water heater installed by noon! Very professional service. Landis and Nick were wonderful! They also provided a very reasonable estimate for a water softener, which we’ll probably do in early Spring. We’ll be using them again for sure!

    Our heat broke on Saturday night of Thanksgiving weekend and we needed help in a pinch. Landis answered the phone and got to us right away.     Recently had the joy of ending a holiday weekend with our air conditioning system dying. Tuesday morning I gave Hertler Plumbing and HVAC a call. I called after 10AM and Gabe arrived before 11AM. He inspected the entire system and then discussed with us the situation. We needed to replace the whole system unfortunately. We asked for a time frame for getting the work done because a heat wave was coming and due to a medical condition we needed this fixed ASAP. He told us that he would forward his findings to Landis and he would send us quotes. Ten minutes later we had three quotes to pick from and told that they could start today if we were ready to move forward and that they would finish tomorrow afternoon.We accepted a quote and work started that day. Landis and Gabe were both very professional, respectful, and very patient especially with the endless questions that we asked them. The condenser unit of our new system was the largest piece and for us this was in the attic with barely standing room and a corner that you had to navigate to get to the staircase. There was no damage to any wall, railing, or floor of our house. That includes when they removed the old equipment.They were true to their word and finished on time.One last thing that I found refreshing was the fact with every time that I called it was answered. No playing phone tag and enable us to go about our day, because we werent waiting foe a call back.

    What a great experience!! Hertler showed up on Saturday to give a quote on my broken air conditioner. Quote was much more reasonable than others, and Landis was thorough & patient when describing the issue and options. As soon as I gave the go ahead they ordered what they needed. They showed up Monday and did the job quickly & neatly. I highly recommend this company and I will use them from now on. Don’t think you can go wrong using Hertler.

    Highly recommend considering Hertler for any HVAC needs. We called them out of desperation after our mini splits weren’t functioning and Gabe and Landis came to the rescue. They were very knowledgeable and took the time needed to make sure everything was resolved. I honestly can’t believe how attentive they were - it was truly above and beyond. They worked early mornings and late nights over two weeks to fix our systems. I’m so grateful for their willingness to help us during a very stressful time! Landis should teach a class about customer service. His communication throughout the process was the best we’ve ever had with any professional we’ve hired - and after the last year renovating a new home, we’ve hired A LOT. Thank you Gabe and Landis!!

    I am so happy we chose Landis Hertler’s company! Called him SATURDAY EVENING. He came and performed professional diagnostics, not even 24 hours later- on a SUNDAY, no less. Removal of old system and Installation of new system on WEDNESDAY. Great communication in between with all of my questions answered patiently with recommendations given. The HVAC tech, Gabe, was smart, kind and funny and A MASTER at his job. Landis, the business owner, came and worked with Gabe almost all day.     We had a swimming pool in our basement and called a number of the so called emergency plumber services and Landis at Hertler picked up straight away, was onsite within the hour and had our problem fixed within 3 hours on a Saturday evening at a reasonable price. As this is a rental property, Landis kept in consistent contact and when he noticed the pilot light had been extinguished also, came back the next morning to fix it, so our tenant would have hot water again 🥰 Excellent service would highly recommend

    Landis and his team were an absolute pleasure to work with! I was having some issues with my gas fired radiator heater and called Hertler. They came out the next day, diagnosed my issue, and were able to give me a variety of options for fixing the system.     Hertler plumbing is the BEST, 12/10 recommend. My water heater stopped working, i reached out to two plumbers. Hertler plumbing responded immediately, while the other guys took over 24 hours for a call back. Kelly got in touch with me immediately and Landis called and sent me a quote. The quote was extremely reasonable and Landis offered to come out that night to repair my water heater-after a long day on another job. The replacement was FAST and efficient, he did an excellent job. And he was able to do it all while keeping the place super clean which I truly appreciate.     Highly recommend this company! My heater broke in the evening right at a time when freezing temps and snow was coming the next day. Landis arrived around midnight for an after hours call. He was very thorough, friendly, knowledgeable and was happy to answer any question. Also, he returned the next day to make sure everything was still working okay.     Today we had Landis and Gabriel from Hertler Plumbing perform a medium sized repair to our plumbing. This had been a toilet which had been leaky and giving us problems for 3 years. It was reset 2 previous times and eventually always leaked. Landis came out last week and removed the toilet and discovered the pipe connected to the flange was cracked and a previous plumber had performed a temporary fix using silicone. Needless to say, this did not work leading to our frustration over the past 3 years. Landis and Gabriel did a great job replacing the section of plumbing that was damaged and resetting our toilet. This required extensive work as they needed to access the pipe from the 1st through the ceiling. This took nearly 6 hrs but was well worth it to have the work completed correctly. They did the work neatly and cleaned up throughly afterwards. Thanks again Landis and Gabriel for taking your time to fix our issue!!!

    Landis responded immediately to my call and was able to come to my house within 1.5hours from the time I called! He was professional, polite and very efficient and knowledgeable. Landis explained the issue and why it happened. He then fixed the problem quickly and was super organized.     Story of a failed DIYer, i figure a simple install of PRV onto main water supply would be easy as seen on YouTube, turns out that anything that could go wrong, will go wrong at 11:00pm. Main shutoff valve from street was compromised and started leaking profusely, panic knowing that its almost midnight, no plumber will be available, but to my amazement with a ginormous sigh of RELIEF!!! Landis picked up immediately, the words that came out of my phone speaker: Ill be there in 1 hour, helped calm my tense nerves. Landis arrived exactly within 1hr, he emerges from his work van, calm and courteous, spoke with a tone that made you feel comfortable like one of your buddies from high school. He made a professional assessment, provided a work estimate and proceeded to work on the leaky old pipes, and within an hour all was done, he installed a new shut/off line and install PRV regulator, saving my internal pipes from city 150psi pressure feed, now its at an optimal 60psi, water heater is saved. This wouldve been a nightmare with lost sleep sitting in the dark of night alone....scooping up water in the garage but Landis save the day! If i could give him ten million stars i would, but 5 star will suffice but doesnt do justice to what Landis has provided as a professional Plumbing & HVAC business. I now have a permanent contact for this need going forward and will refer to everyone.

    **Cannot recommend Hertler highly enough!!** When the heat stopped working at my house, a competitor tried to sell me an insanely marked up part replacement, and even recommended entire unit replacement! I wanted a second opinion and called Landis, who came over to take a look. He took the time to explain what was going on, and how the problem wasnt what I was originally told at all. It was a simple fix with a much cheaper part. If you, or anyone you know, have any HVAC maintenance or repair to get done (they also do plumbing!) call Hertler - support a local business and get honest service. Highly, highly recommended.

    Our sump pump failed during a heavy rain and our basement started to fill up with water. I called at 9:24 pm and Landis answered the phone and said he would be here in 1 hour.     We used Hertler after thoroughly researching the internet and exploring all local HVAC options. We unfortunately experienced a very serious furnace issue on a late Sunday evening. Called Hertler at 7:45AM Monday morning. Landis picked up and was able to get out right away. Diagnosed the problem in an hour and presented multiple options for a solution. We ended up selecting an option that involved replacing our nearly 30 year old unit. He was able to secure the new oil-burning unit and deliver it the same day. The installation took place the next day. After a morning start, the old furnace was out and the new unit was in - and fired up around dinner time. Chris was out early the next day to finish the thermostat installation - he was speedy, friendly and helpful. Overall, I cannot say enough about Hertler HVAC LLC! They were prompt, courteous, up front, honest, discussed options and negotiated reasonable price options. Installation was quick and went according to the timeline originally proposed. All along the anxiety I had re this major purchase and the well-being of my family was kept to minimum by Landis and his team - especially as we headed into the wicked cold spell of the 2022 holiday season! One week later we are thoroughly enjoying our new efficient and much quieter unit. My faith has been restored in high quality local contractors!!!     I had a weekend project emergency while doing a DIY project when I found that I had old brass pipes that were too thick to fit normal half inch copper fittings. The guys at Hertler Plumbing were super helpful walking me through some troubleshooting over the phone Saturday evening and quick to come out first thing Sunday morning to replace the brass pipes.

    I highly recommend Hertler for servicing and repairing your HVAC system. I called Hertler on Monday after the first 90+ degree weekend this year because the central AC in the house into which we just moved was not cooling at all. I had called another company, but they brusquely informed me that they were so busy they could not come out for weeks.Hertler, on the other hand, responded quickly, and set up an appointment for the next day. The tech, Mario, was very friendly and efficient. He examined.the system, clearly explained what he found was wrong, and quickly corrected the problem. In addition, the bill for the service call and repair was quite reasonable.If you are looking for a responsive, reasonably priced HVAC repair service, definitely call Hertler first. You may even be lucky and have Mario as your technician!

    Moved into our house in Ambler about two years ago and have struggled finding a reliable outlet for HVAC and plumbing issues. Called Hertler after hearing positive reviews from a friend when our downstairs AC stopped working. Landis had someone come out within the hour to diagnose and fix the problem. They were extremely efficient and knowledgeable and explained exactly what the issue was and what they were going to do to fix it. The price for the visit and the repair was extremely fair. Landis also came back the next week to fix a plumbing issue when i called him the same day. He was also able to diagnose that our AC unit on the second floor needed to be replaced and got us a very fair quote and a date to come replace the unit within 2 weeks.     I called Landis at 10AM Monday and his guys were at my house by mid-afternoon that same day, even though I made it clear it was not an emergency. His guys Mario and Chris were friendly, professional, neat and prompt. After diagnosing the problem and determining I needed a new mini-split unit, Landis gave me a fair quote and they were back the next day, 8am, as promised, to install it. The installation was done without issue. I was surprised by a call later than night from Landis saying he had been mis-quoted a price for the unit, and hence I had been misquoted as well, and the cost of the job was reduced by the full $1400 over-estimate. His first quote was already $2000 lower than one I got from another HVAC place, so the additional savings was a nice surprise. Landis followed up with one more call today to make sure the unit was working without issue and that I was happy with the job and his guys. My 5-star rating answers that question.

    Landis and his team have gone above and beyond to repair two major cast iron pipe failures in our house over the last year. Ryan, Chris, Joe, and Landis most recently came to the rescue when cracked plumbing was discovered during our kitchen renovation.     Truly wonderful that our emergency plumbing situation was resolved so quickly on the Sabbath during Hanukkah so we wouldnt be without access to any indoor plumbing during our home festivities.     I never post reviews on Google but felt the need to recognize this business for their service. We had an issue with our basement and our service person told us it was simple enough to do it ourselves and even walked us through how to do it. I dont trust myself with handyman work - definitely not one of my strong suits so I had Hertler do it for us. While, unlike some places, they dont waive the visitation fee if theres work done, I felt like their honesty was worth the additional cost and something I wont hesitate to come back to.Its kind of a long story but we had another plumbing company come a month before this and do some work that cost us almost $500. We thought we had a water leak somewhere (water bill $300) and they said the savings probably wouldnt show up on the next bill but the one following. We got our water bill just four days later and the bill was about $40, which is normal. I have a suspicion it was just a running toilet in the guest bathroom that we turned the water off to. Suffice to say, the $500 bill is not something we needed, obviously, but the other company pretty much scammed us into spending $500. Definitely not ideal.So Id happily pay for an honest company like Hertler. We called them back a few months later to then do our HVAC. They are now our go to plumbing and HVAC company.
