    Donny and his team went above and beyond, dedicating hours and hours over two days to upgrade multiple aspects of the electrical system for my home. They upgraded from 100 to 200 amp electrical delivery, established an outdoor electrical panel in compliance with current building codes, raised the height of the electrical line to the house to establish legal clearance above the back deck, isolated the unsafe knob and tube wiring on the front porch, and ran new wiring to power the porch fan and light. They were extremely professional and informative throughout the process, talking me through the issues and solutions, as well as the progress and anticipated time to complete the job. Once establishing new electrical supply to the porch, they installed the fan with light that I had purchased. Lastly, they honored the initial quote for the job following the initial inspection, even though they encountered complications that extended the work.

    Plugz electric work is top notch! Cam really knows his stuff. Very professional, explained everything that needed to be done and then did quality work in replacing my unsafe breaker panel and installing a new one both inside and outside the house. They did everything they said they would in the timeframe they said they would. I whole heartedly recommend Plugz and especially Cam and Damon highly!

    I had a significant amount of work done on my one and a half story 1951 South Minneapolis home. As a single woman I was nervous about comparing bids from other contractors. When Eric from Plugz gave me my estimate he explained everything thoroughly and made me feel very comfortable with the process. I had estimates from other contractors, but was not as confident in their ability to answer my questions, and they were not as respectful or patient as Eric was.Ive just had my work completed. Mike and his team were great at communicating everything that was done and how everything worked. I had additional questions about my estimate at the end of my service and the team was very proactive about that as well. I was able to finance the work that I could not afford immediately for 0% APR. Overall Im very happy with my service and will definitely be using Plugz in the future. Highly recommend.

    Had Cameron and Damon from Plugz over to do some projects around the house. They installed bathroom fans, a ceiling fan and some cabinet lights. Everything turned out great! Very professional quality work.

    I had Plugz Electric at my house yesterday, putting the wiring in for my car charger and they put a whole surge protector in my house. I was very happy with the work. They did two very nice young man won the master electrician with Cameron and the second young man was Cameron. He was very nice too. They did nice work, clean and courteous when Cameron came to my house to give me a bit of the wiring in the garage I was very happy the way he presented himself. I felt comfortable with him so when I asked him to do a surge protector in my house, I felt very confident in him. Iā€™m very happy with the work they did. I wouldnā€™t hesitate to call them back again thank you Cameron and Damien for the great job you did yesterday very happy

    I had an excellent experience and I WOULD HIRE Plugz Electric again, if I need an electrician in the future.Nicole was very helpful getting me on the schedule. The appointment was within 2 days of the call. I tried 3 other electrical companies, before reaching Plugz. One of the companies was about 2.5 weeks out, another a month out, and the final company I tried was nearly 3 months out (just a one man operation).Back to Plugz, on the day of the appointment I received a text message letting me know that Rob (Journeyman Electrician) was on his way. He arrived within 30 minutes of that text, and within the window of time that Nicole estimated when making the appointment.Rob was friendly, direct, and thorough. He evaluated the job and provided a quote within 5 minutes of arrival. Rob provided suggestions and feedback on the job itself to address what I needed without breaking the bank. The quote was for installation of 2 ceiling fans that had existing light fixtures in their respective bedroom. The quote was cheaper than 2 of the other companies I spoke to on the phone. Rob informed me of their ā€˜50% down and 50% upon completion of the jobā€™ policy. I chose to pay 100% when I received the quote due to my schedule when the work was to be completed.Rob was able to come back the next day (to allow me to buy the fans for the install) and complete the job then.     Cameron was awesome! I was unsure if I needed to rewire for my new light fixture so asked him to take a look. He let me know that my current wiring was safe and installed my new fixture. Heā€™s friendly and professional. Cameron was here exactly on time and went the extra mile cleaning up the styrofoam debris from the packaging for my new fixture. Excellent service!

    We had Rob come out yesterday to get a diagnostic done. Found some interesting things. For one, wire was completely burnt to a crisp. As well all of the fuses were mislabeled and was completely hard to read. So, we determined to have a whole new fuse box installed. Secondly, were receiving 115 volts to the house. Where we need to be receive 120 volts. Thats why weve been noticing every so often the lights in the house dimming here and there. Go to the meter outside and detect xcel energy is at fault with why were receiving such a low voltage. So now we wait for xcel to show up and take care of that. Lastly, spare bedroom needed the ceiling fan replaced. So we added that to the job.Now today 7/31/24. Rob came back right around noon and started working on the new projects. About a 4 hour job to complete everything. Photos of the before and after are listed below. Rob was very helpful, very kind, explained everything that was going on and what was needing done or repaired. 5 stars truly isnt enough for a rating. Wasnt cheap, but rather it be done right and correct then what I previously had in my home, while luckily nothing bad ever happened.Thank you Rob and Plugz Electric for the great job.

    We called Plugz to inquire about adding an outlet in our bathroom.. we are not electrically savvy.Our technician, Mike Klande, provided both the estimate and install. Mike communicated well, arrived on time, and helped me understand the estimate and options.We actually ended up installing the outlet as well as a bathroom exhaust fan. Work was completed same day, in just a few hours. No mess was left behind, and all looks great.This is the first time weve done work like this so Im not sure about pricing comparisons, but I was happy with the entire process and they already had so many good reviews, I decided to proceed without an additional quote.

    Cameron and Damon did an awesome job with my much-needed lighting renovations for my newly-purchased, very outdated property. I moved to MN from another state but accepted this companys bid immediately after meeting with David M, whose professionalism, knowledge and customer orientation were extraordinary. Davids noteworthy passion for excellence was mirrored by Cameron and Damon, the two electricians who executed the work in my multi-day project. Efficient, personable and tidy, they knew their stuff and went out of their way to minimize disruption, including minimizing the need for drywall repair. In my experience, electricians dont concern themselves with that. I give them my highest commendation, will definitely use them again. They are, in addition to technical excellence, all very nice people.

    We were so impressed by Cameron and Donny! They were always prompt on arrival, communicative, and SO kind. They made an effort to clean the fan after installation, laid down tarp to protect the floor, and cared greatly about their work. I will be using them for future projects!

    Cameron and Damon did a wonderful job doing my grandmas outdated fire hazard electrical boxes inside and out. It will be great for passing a home inspection and not worrying about fire or not being able to reset the breaker after too many appliances are plugged in. Cameron was very friendly, outgoing, and knowledgeable. Damon was very polite as well and they took their shoes off as well inside the house.

    Cameron has done work for me a month ago- changing to new entry-way light and an updated ceiling fan. I asked about suggestion for kitchen lights. WOW! WOW! WOW! WHAT DIFFERENCE with my new recessed lights in the kitchen. A world of difference from hanging light fixtures to lights in the ceiling. I would recommend Plugz for your electrical jobs.     My power went out on Saturday morning. Eric came by and got my electricity back on the SAME DAY. Then Kerry and Cameron came the following Monday to replace fuse box.All 3 dudes were very helpful and explained what they were doing. I had no clue and they were very friendly.     Eric prahl and Morgan podany were great! Super respectful, punctual, and fair priced. We had some issues that were hard to figure out, but they did it!     So there we were, 9 hours away on vacation, when we get the call that a large branch came down and took out our power completely! I sat there on the phone in a completely different state, trying to get ahold of insurance, trying to find an electrician that could come out that day (a Saturday) but anyone I had called before couldnt make it until Monday! Then I found Plugz, and my goodness were they the real ones! Jason, Eric and David were able to make an emergency call, same day, and even wound up working in the dark just to make sure we had power the night of! I was really thinking wed be without power for 2-3 days, but thanks to the guys at Plugz, that wasnt an issue!Im really greatful for these guys, they really came through and made an incredibly stressful situation, less stressful.     Eric Prohl came out today to follow up on the microwave circuit installation and install a new dimmer. He was a great communicator, very professional, and efficient. Plugzā€™ technicians have been outstanding. I highly recommend them.Mike and Terry were out today adding another breaker exclusively for the microwave as well as checking all other items on the same circuits. They worked steadily and efficiently on what was a challenging project getting the microwave on a separate wire. They also were very patient in answering many questions and it was easy to get an appointment. I highly recommend Plugz.

    Eric was amazing and very helpful and responsive. anytime I called he either picked up or called me directly back! Cameron was understanding and a good listener. He was very helpful in getting all my electrical done. They both went above and beyond anytime there was a question or something that needed to be addressed they took care of it and in a very timely fashion. I didnā€™t have to adjust my schedule they worked with mine which is extremely helpful so I didnā€™t have to take time off work. They worked well with my insurance. Jason and Mike also got involved when an issue arose with a voltage drop/ flicker/ pulsing of certain lights and they came back out with a company to test the arch and found out daughter lab top charger from school was part of the culprit along with an older incandescent dimmer. They recommended a new charger that was from the manufacturing with a Tripp lite isobar outlet to plug in and so far has fixed the problem! I will be recommending them! Thank you for all your hard work and help getting my electrical issues/ panel fixed / replaced. You all are amazing and trustworthy and that is something that can never be replaced.

    I was connected with Plugz Electric through Loweā€™s for installation of a porch light we ordered. The journeyman/technician, Cameron Foesch, did an absolutely excellent job. First and foremost, we had been given a timeframe of 8 AM and 11 AM. While most businesses generally leave the impression that you should expect service on the later end of the frame, Cam was here right at 8. He was very friendly, professional, knowledgeable to answer any and all questions, and well skilled to get the job done in a remarkably short amount of time.     We had an outlet that needed replacement quickly. To our surprise Plugz sent Eric out the same day. Eric diagnosed the situation and found we had faulty wiring that could have been a fire hazard.     Cam & Damon did a fantastic job with an emergency re-build of my electrical mast during a house siding project. The siding crew accidentally lost control of my 2.5 story PVC mast which came crashing down to completely shatter across my rear addition and backyard while still connected to the power pole! Cam with Plugz Electric was on-site lightning fast and parleyed with Xcel Energy to keep my house connected to the grid in sub-freezing weather with as little downtime as possible while building a new mast. My only disappointment is they have not yet replaced nine of the temporary outlets they installed with outlets that match the style of my other existing receptacles and cover plates, as we discussed. Initially, they experienced a delay receiving the parts but now it has been almost two months since the installation. Still nothing.

    Mark and Josh installed a new bathroom fan in our old house for $1500. They upgraded our light switch as part of this so thereā€™s a switch for fan and both lights. They were fast and friendly. The fan has a light so is perfect to illuminate the bathroom. They were able to do this in the winter and will come back and finish on the roof in March. We found Plugz on Angieā€™s. They were the only company who responded to our request. We had a fan but they said they only installed this one. It looks yellow to me and still looks yellow even after we painted the bathroom green. They said they got the white one so not sure.

    Soren was my electrician, and he did a superb job. He was kind, professional, explained everything very well so a layman could understand, and he was always upfront. We had gotten another estimate from another company before contacting PlugZ and they were very expensive and offered me more than I asked for. My need was a level 2 EV charger in my garage. He was upfront about that cost and without upselling me, he gave me an honest bid on that as well as a new electrical panel as mine was original to the house and aging. The only real issue we encountered was with Xcel. They have to unhook and re-hook up power from the outside. They showed per our appointment to unhook but were very lackadaisical about coming back at the end of the day. Soren kept on them and even noticed a truck in our area - he pleaded with the linesman to come down the block when he finished his work. Soren saved the day getting us back online and saved me from the doghouse that night with my wife. If you use PlugZ, please request Soren, hes a top-notch guy, and electrician. Hell go out of his way to make the customer happy.

    The challenge with electric work is that it is hard to know what problems exist until the outlets are opened up, especially in an 125 year old house like mine.     Plugz electric saved us after a storm took out our electrical mast, we were without power for 46 hours. Once I realized we needed an emergency electrician and not xcel, I called plugz. Soren and Cameron were at our house in south mpls within 30- 45 mins! They were both kind, professional, thorough, and very informative.     Cant say enough about this company and the guys that came and did the work. Doing a kitchen remodeling and needed a dedicated circuit for a over the range microwave and a full panel. I called a couple of firms and left msgs that have yet to have returned my call. Not having used Plugz before, they answered my initial call, had someone come out that afternoon for an estimate and scheduled when to do the work. Cameron and Mike showed up as expected and where I thought it would take most of the day was completed in less than a few hours.     Juan was very knowledgeable, professional, and efficient. A handyman recently installed a ceiling fan but after fiddling with it for over 6 hours, he could not figure out why the light did not go on. I ended up having to hire a real electrician at the end. Juan figured it out immediately and fixed it in 10 minutes. Lesson learned: call an electrician and not a handyman for electric jobs. It cost a bit more but I ended up paying twice (an handyman for 6 hours of nothing) and an electrician.Update: Because Juan was so efficient, I asked him about an outlet inside that is connected to one outside and a light switch on the porch, all of which stopped working a couple of years ago. It was a tricky wiring situation that a couple of other electricians had not been able to fix in the past. The house is 150 years old and the wires are in a crawl space. One electrician in the past had suggested tearing the entire wall (something I did not want to do), so I had decided not to fix the issue. But Juan explained the alternative solution and said it would be $550 to fix the issue. He scheduled another visit and came along with his colleague Mike today. Juan and Mike fixed the issue (rodent had chewed the wire in an inaccessible crawl space) and installed a new box and changed the wires. It took them a couple of hours and it cost $600. It was more than the estimate because they installed a new box and outlet outside. But to be fair, Juan gave me a 5% discount since he had come for the fan the previous week. To be honest, it is not cheap and more than I wanted to spend, but considering that other electricians had failed fixing it before and had charged me a couple of hundred bucks here and there just for fiddling with it, I would say it was worth it. Now I have a safe working outlet outside and the light on the porch and the outlet in the living room all work.Hopefully this old house wonā€™t need more electrical issues because electricians are expensive, but if it does, I will be calling Juan because he is a decent guy and knows what he is doing. And Mike was also very helpful.
