    I had a major problem with my entry service and electric meter box that cause me to remove my residential electric meter until it was replaced. This caused me to be completely without power in the middle of a Monday. I contacted Edgar Electric and Monty contacted me with-in minutes. He and his staff were at my home with-in 45 minutes and had the entire job complete in 5 hours. The job was completed professionally, friendly and timely. I would contact Edgar Electric in the future for any electrical needs I have. Job well done.

    The Edgar Electric team did a phenomenal job rewiring/updating electric inside and out of a 3 story home we were remodeling. It is a family run business and the two sons/brothers that did our work were absolutely amazing. They were very friendly, respectful of us and our home, completely knowledgeable about what they were doing and performed their work very efficiently and cleaned up after themselves when they were done. Their attention to detail was something we really appreciated as they made very helpful/useful suggestions about things we would have never thought of. They worked deligently to get the job done in the time frame we needed it accomplished. They always showed up when they said they would and didnt leave until the job was complete. Monty was very good at explaining things and keeping us informed throughout the entire process. We would definitely use them again for any electrical needs and recommend them to our family and friends!

    Edgar Electric was the electrical contractor on our new home. The work was impeccable, neat, highly professional. He was extremely cooperative and helpful throughout the process.     Edgar Eletric was amazing and we will be using them for future instances! Monty came to our house at 11:30pm when we needed him for an emergency! He fixed it so we could have our heat for the night and came back in the morning to fix our electrical issues!! He was so polite, helpful, friendly, and professional. He and Caleb went above and beyond for us, even after working hard all day on another emergency! I would HIGHLY recommend Edgar Electric.

    I used Edgar Electric to replace the electrical service in my house which included a new service line, box and breakers that was installed in a clean and organized fashion; far superior to what I originally had. I also had an out building which needed a new underground line to a new 125amp sub-panel which was also installed in a clean and organized manner. I highly recommend Monty and his crew, you won’t find any better!

    Awesome service. I had what seemed like a brown out. I had called the electric company (west penn) they said nothing was wrong outside and I had to call an electrician. I called Edgar electric and they diagnosed the issue in minutes. Visible rust on the wire outside. My power company missed this but took Edgar minutes to figure out. Replacement was flawless! couldnt be happier.Thanks so much!

    Wow!! Mr. Edgar was a lifesaver for us. It was 4th of July weekend, and our power went out. It was 98 degrees outside, and much hotter inside, without the AC. My husband and I were both working from home due to the pandemic, and we couldn’t work (obviously) without electricity. This was also the 2nd time we had lost power, over a period of a few weeks, and we didn’t really know why. The last time, it came back on eventually, but that wasn’t the case this time. We tried everything that we could think to try on our own; checked all the fuses, reset the breaker multiple times. But none of that brought back the power. We had been fearing that our electric panel was in need of being upgraded for some time.. Our home was built in 1901, and still has a lot of very old wiring, and the electric panel had not been updated since the 80s/90s.We realized we had no other choice but to call an electrician. After asking friends for suggestions, and trying a few family friends, and coming up empty, my husband called Edgar Electric. Mr. Edgar called me later that day to state he would be coming out. He arrived promptly, and was able to perform a quick fix to get our power back immediately. He said he could replace a switch on the panel, and that would give it the upgrade it would need to prevent this from being an issue in the future. He came back out the next day, which was the 4th of July and replaced the part, just as he promised. Our power has run perfectly since. I feel that many other electricians in this situation would have charged a considerable amount, as it was a holiday weekend, and two trips were involved. Mr. Edgar charged a very fair minimal amount to fix our issue. We are so grateful, and highly recommend this company!

    I hired Monty to remove and replace a damaged breaker. His company arrived on short notice, explained everything involved from how it broke to how the new breaker needs to be installed. The price was generous, and the workmanship outstanding. Would hire again.

    Integrity and character are attributes that we are NOT born with! We grow into them by who we become as we go through life from infant to grave. Events happen both around us and to us as we add growth rings to our age, and those ‘events’ are what affect who we become and the path that we take through-out adulthood, be it good or bad! We are influenced by the people around us in our youth and we decide who WE WANT to be like or who WE DON’T WANT to be like as we take that journey. And if we read, and enjoy the lessons shared with us by others who we observe (both negative and positive actions), we shape the character, and the integrity that we decide to carry with us into the future. We are who we are because of decisions we have made, and the same for who we become by the actions that we take as a result of those decisions.Learning the lessons of life through observation of others, reading books and reading The Good Book provides history and imparts principles that often help us to set our own boundaries by which we shape our decisions and our actions, good or bad! These decisions and actions shape our character and help mold our integrity. The old familiar cliche comes to mind here... “Life is a journey, not a destination!” And ‘how’ you handle what happens to you along that journey is more important than ‘what’ it is that happens to you!I have known Monty Edgar now for nearly 20 years and have often wished that I had met and grown through life with him many years prior to our actual meeting! We both have made our mistakes, we both have enjoyed a good life, and we have had some good moments together and hope to have many more. In short, we have been good for, and to, each other! Neither of us grew up with a silver spoon in our mouth and both of us value the characteristics of truth and honesty, both of which go into the mix when building integrity. And we have helped each other at different times through the small level of expertise that we might have in our respective strengths. I know that he enjoys learning from the lessons shared by many others through the many books that he reads, the hobbies that he enjoys and the scriptures that I know he has read in The Good Book.While there are certainly other attributes that go into building character, ‘truth & honesty’ are key to building the one aspect of character that can be torn down in one short moment if one is not true to the good principles upon which he/she has built it! And that is INTEGRITY. If a person doesn’t have integrity, he/she has nothing at all as far as I’m concerned. And besides being a perfectionist when it comes to building something, especially with electricity, Monty has a VERY HIGH LEVEL OF INTEGRITY. And for that, I commend him and I’m very glad that he has shared his friendship and his professional knowledge with me during all these years!God bless you Monty, and may the Lord water our souls with His Word through the scriptures so that we might grow in His likeness!Wayne

    After a wind storm tore the electric service line from my home, and not knowing who to call, I fortunately found Edgar Electric. The Edgar team quickly and efficiently re-established my service. I was so impressed I asked them to update my old service panel. Again, I was very impressed with the meticulous, and courteous, service.     I called a much closer electrician at 9:00 on a Sunday that claimed 24/7 service when they didnt call back. I called edgar at noon he showedup in a reasonable time. turned out the problem was the power company. He took the time to call a couple of the linemen to tell them the problem so they would have what was needed to repair the line. He even called me later to make sure everything was fixed and working properly.

    This would be 6 stars if I could. In my darkest hour with the minions of hades rising up from the depths of the underworld and a succubus whispering in my ear You cant do this, we shouldve called an electrician like I told you. Youre not good at this stuff. Monty came shooting in like a god of old to vanquish beast and poor diy wiring alike. He swiftly set to sorting out the chaos armed with both the eyes of man born to live on the edge and a volt meter. In short order my nightmare had ended almost as fast as it began. Thus does the myth of Monty live forever. Thanks buddy, my wife will never let me live this down.
