    Gentry electric installed a whole house surge protector and 2 furnace surge protectors. I have had to replace my Carrier smart thermostats multiple times and I am hopeful that the surge protectors will prevent them from frying every time there is a power outage at my house.The technicians, Joe and Jared, arrived on time and did the work in an extremely efficient and competent manner. They explained to me the operation of the surge protectors and what the lights and alarms mean. I cannot say enough positive things about my experience with Gentry Electric. I recommend them highly for all things electrical.

    I have used the Gentry team for a kitchen remodel, bedroom and bath remodel, and outlet upgrades to the exterior/ backyard/ patio area of my house. They are professional, courteous, expeditious, efficient, responsive, on time, and above all- provide excellent quality work at a fair price.     We have used Gentry Electric a few times over the years. Most recently, Jerid replaced all of our outdoor lighting and we are VERY PLEASED!Jerid was prompt for the appointment, he worked steadily throughout the project and used checkpoints with us throughout to ensure that the lights were just where we wanted them positioned and were to our liking. He tested everything thoroughly with us so that we could ensure we could control the light timers with our existing outdoor pool/lighting timer, and he cleaned everything up before leaving.Jerid had previously completed a project for us when our garage area breaker would not stay reset. He quickly identified the problem as an outdoor outlet that needed to replaced. After replacing the outlet (with one that has a more encasing protective cover), he tested everything with us to ensure all was well.In addition to being a skilled electrician, Jerid is polite, professional and just pleasant to work with. He will be our go to electrician for any future needs. HIGHLY Recommend!

    Jerid was professional and so helpful. He was thorough in walking around our attic looking for rat/mice chew marks on the electric insulation to ensure our safety and saved a ton of money! We are repeat customers and will continue to do business with them. Anyone looking, look no further! He even went out of his way to recommend an extender for our Ring doorbell camera so it provides a better visual. Couldn’t ask for a better crew! Thankful for Gentry Electric :)

    We are having our back deck redone and a new grill installed. We needed two new outlets installed. My wife also requested a new switch inside. Very happy with the work - everything went well. Experienced crew that did everything in a timely manner. Everything explained and agreed on prior to work. Everything cleaned up and both my wife and I are very happy!

    My neighbor recommended Gentry Electric to me. I called and discussed the work I needed done which was to install 8 LED recess lights and put in new ceiling fans. I got a quick response on the cost of the work and set up the appointment. They were here on time and were very professional, courteous, friendly and explained to me exactly what they were going to do. They could not complete the job because the ceiling fans I bought were not the right ones. They told me to re-order, let them know when I got them and they would come out right away to install them. Guess what? They did. Oh, one other thing. The electrician left with some paperwork I needed an drove back the very next day to make sure I got them. I have other electrical projects coming up and they have my business. By the way, my neighbor asked me if I was pleased with them because she had another friend in need of electrical work and wanted to make sure I was satisfied before she recommend them to her friend. Very pleased.

    Referred to Gentry via another company about a year ago. Since that time, we have had to have lots of electrical work done on an older home. Gentry does impeccable work, are patience, professional and excellent at what they do. They are also great at communicating through out every visit. Best of all, it feels good to know we have an A+ reliable company in our corner where electrical needs are concerned. Highly recommend!

    I just had some work done at the house we recently purchased. They got right to work and installed ceiling fans, smoke alarms, new outside panel and more. Everything was done to my satisfaction. Mr. James Gentry was my original contact for the estimate and follow up. He was knowledgable and thorough. The two associates who came out to do the installation were really good at what they do. They inspired confidence. I would definitely use them again.

    Today Gentry Electric Company installed a new ceiling fan, Blink Flood Lights and Camera, a dedicated outlet in my kitchen for my electric countertop grill, and replaced five outlets. I highly recommend using them for your electrical repairs.

    I experienced an anomaly in my electrical system and lost power to one bedroom and my integrated smoke alarms, (causing the smoke alarms to go off every five minutes). I exhausted all ideas I had to fix the problem, which was resetting the breaker, which didn’t work. I called Gentry Electric and they responded within thirty minutes. Gentry Electricians immediately began troubleshooting the problem and had it resolved in about ten minutes. They were knowledgeable, professional and courteous. This is my second time using Gentry Electric and it is the only electrical company I will ever use. Great customer service!

    Where do I begin? I would rate them more than 5 stars if I could. We had an odd one. Older home with quirky old units still hanging around. We came home to a weird very loud squealing noise last night and after some time figured out it was not the hot water heater but an old sprinkler unit in the same closet. We were able to find the electric breaker and shut it off. We were then 2 work-from-homers with no Wifi, TV, hot water, a garage door that did not open and dark areas in the house (no lights). I texted Jarod in the early am and he communicated to us all day in between other pre-scheduled jobs and promised to come by at some point before end of day. And true to his word, he came by early evening and knew exactly what to do and in a jiffy had us up and running again. He took extra care in making sure the unit was totally disconnected and safe. We are currently basking in the electricity and modern conveniences we take advantage of daily. Jarod was so kind, professional and speedy. We would never call anyone else. Gentry has all our business.

    Ronny and his team arrived and quickly went to work. They did exactly what I wanted (wired up a new roof exhaust fan) and even wired it directly into the breaker box as requested. They did the job quickly and were here less than an hour and charged a fair price.I would definitely recommend Gentry Electric for any residential electrical needs.

    Excellent people and excellent work. Both men worked together quickly with expertise to accomplish a difficult job quickly and efficiently. Price was very reasonable and less than I had expected since I had the same work done on another house with a different company. I will recommend Gentry to anyone.

    I was referred to Gentry Electric by our real estate agent. I was very impressed with the responsiveness. I love that they offer an option to text. I was able to text the number and within a few hours I received a call and was able to schedule an appointment to have a grounding rod installed. On the day of the appointment, I received a call to let me know he was on his way and then within 30 mins he was done. It was quick and easy. This is my new go-to electric company moving forward and I would highly recommend Gentry Electric.

    I cant say enough about the service I received from James Gentry and Gentry Electric. My wife and I recently moved into an older home and we couldnt get our dryer to heat up. We were told it was due to the dryer not getting enough power. We first contacted another company, Arrow Electric, and they came out and told us they couldnt even look at the issue due to our older breaker box. They wanted $4800 to install a new breaker box . Our home inspector then recommended Gentry Electric. Mr. Gentry took a look at our breaker box, noticed a wire wasnt connected, reconnected the wire to the breaker box and got my dryer working. He also took the time to explain the issues with the older breaker box and quoted a price of $3600 to replace it. Gentry Electric saved me thousands of dollars! Id recommend them to anyone.

    Gentry electric ran an underground wire to provide electricity to a shed. While gardening I nicked the wire and the electricity to the shed cut off. They came by and fixed it for me with no charge. They gained a loyal customer today! Highly recommend!

    A few weeks ago, I had a strange electrical problem with an outdoor light and the owner had it fixed in a very short time, found a loose wire. Now the light works perfectly. A few weeks after we had Gentry Electric Company replace our 40+ year old breaker panel. The three guys were very professional and polite. They cleaned up all their mess (which most companies lack this trait) and left no signs they were here except the beautiful up to date panel they installed. They labeled the panel so we would know what rooms went to which breaker. I would recommend them to everyone. A++++

    Gentry Electric recommended by local realtor. Master Electrician James Gentry and Apprentice Ronnie fit me in between service calls to fix some GCFI and loose downstream indoor and outdoor stablock outlets. They Identified all issues in a few minutes and made necessary fixes quickly. Mr. Gentry inspected old circuit breaker panel and found in good shape-saved me big $$$ instead of pressing for panel replacement, as others might do. Invoice reasonable for two-man job. We will only use Gentry Electric in future.

    I have been using James Gentry for my electrical work for years. I called him yesterday with a problem with a GFCI plug and even though he was very busy, he took the time on the phone to try and help me fix the issue on my own.We were not able to correct the issue, but he came by the next morning and checked the wiring and fixed the problem.Not many electricians would take the time to try and help you remedy the situation over the phone. I only know one, James Gentry, and when we could not fix it over the phone, he made time to come help me out.This is just one of the many reasons I have used James over the years.If you want a knowledgeable, honest electrician, James Gentry is your guy. Whenever I am asked if I know an electrician, I always refer James. My friends always come back to me and tell me how pleased they were with his work.I highly recommend James Gentry for your electrical service needs.

    James Gentry has done electrical work for us for almost 15 years. He’s more like a friend and we trust his professional judgement and honesty. Does an excellent job for a reasonable price.
