    Carlos is the BEST. He came highly recommended from a friend of mine. She told me that’s he’s in demand but that he’s worth the wait. She was right! Carlos repainted and completely repaired our kitchen cabinets as well as a bunch of other things in our new house. The cabinets look absolutely stunning. The once dated kitchen is now the most beautiful part of our home thanks to Carlos. He has so many skills, he can do basically anything! Everything is done meticulously, and he has a really good sense of what will look good and what will not. He is an artist and we will be lifelong customers of his. We worked with many contractors these past two months and no one came close to Carlos’ level of professionalism and skill. And another perk, he leaves everything perfectly clean during his whole process which isn’t necessarily the norm. I almost felt hesitant about writing this review because I want to keep Carlos a secret so he’s not too busy for us in the future. He’s the best!Update: Carlos put up box and chair molding and painted my bedroom. The results are absolutely stunning. As always, we were very pleased with Carlos’ work and efficiency.Check out these before after pictures.

    Carlos did a fantastic job on two built-ins for my sons’ rooms and we will use him again soon for another built in. He is incredibly professional and diligent in his work and lovely to be around. Could not recommend him more, and will continue to use him for all the projects in our home!

    I was referred to Carlos by a friend of mine who had hired him for custom built-ins and painting. Carlos is phenomenal. He’s already completed 3 projects at our home with more on the way (pic is of a custom built in that had to accommodate odd ceiling angles). It’s truly remarkable what he can do. You speak with him for 5min on Monday morning and in days or weeks, he creates exactly what you want. Talented, kind, and professional. I cannot recommend Carlos enough.

    Carlos is a highly skilled and excellent craftsman! He made us an absolutely gorgeous mudroom to replace a large old closet. It was built with complete precision, care and thoughtfulness. He incorporated our ideas seamlessly into his many years of experience and expertise. Carlos is detail oriented, dependable, honest and hardworking. It was a pleasure having him at our home and a delight to see the transformation he made happen.

    Carlos built us beautiful built-in bookshelves with cabinet storage. He worked with us on the design - giving us his professional opinions while listening to what we envisioned. He completed the project within the estimated cost and timeframe. We have gotten so many compliments on the shelves and our room feels complete!

    I was really lucky to find Remake/Remodel on an internet search for a handyman. Carlos Villagrez, the company owner, is highly skilled and an excellent craftsman!     I am very pleased to have had the good fortune to discover Carlos Villagres. I had two relatively small jobs to accomplish, installing a second stair railing and grab bars for my basement staircase and installing a new doorbell for my front door. It was very frustrating trying to find someone who is willing to do these smallish home maintenance jobs, but Carlos responded promptly and positively to my requests. No “I‘ll get back to you…”Carlos did a beautiful job for me on both counts, and I am very grateful to him for his honesty and expertise.

    My wife and I are pleased to provide this Google review praising the work of Remake/Remodel and its owner, Carlos. A water valve broke in our basement closet recently and caused some damage. We called Carlos, a local carpenter, for an estimate of repairs (insulation, drywall, carpet pad replacement, some carpentry, and painting) because of complimentary reviews he received elsewhere. Carlos responded immediately, evaluated the work, and completed it on time and at a cost well below that estimated by other carpenters. He worked very hard for a flat rate of $70/hr and the closet was restored to its original condition. He was very easy to work with, in good humor, spoke good English (hes from Guatemala, originally), and cleaned up carefully after each day of work.John and Laurie Seymour

    I was impressed by Carlos and his team, my job for them was to install crown molding and ceiling trim - they went the extra mile to cut things at an angle. Not mitered corners, I mean when the molding meets in the middle of the wall because they come in batches of 95 inches, even though most master bedrooms are longer. Instead of cutting and joining molding ends at 95 degrees, they cut at an angle to help preserve the pattern. I didnt think to ask them to do that; they gave 110% on their own. So Ill be hiring them again!

    Carloss carpentry and painting work is excellent. He did some built-in floor to ceiling bookshelves in our living room - these are furniture grade shelves. His estimate of the cost and time for building the bookshelves were accurate. In fact, the project ended up costing less than he projected. On a personal level, he is very courteous, punctual, and left the work site very tidy/neat at the end of each day during the project. He will be coming back to do more work at our house. Dont hesitate to hire Carlos/Remake Remodel - topnotch.

    Window Seating and StorageOur experience with Carlos/Remake/Remodel was nothing but positive. He is very professional and flexible. From the initial visit with Carlos and his immediate understanding of our requirements and needs and the subsequent communication to finesse the plans, to the work itself, everything was very easy and hassle-free. there were a couple of elements of the job which could have been awkward and difficult [a diagonal corner unit and plug socket relocation] but they were both resolved simply and efficiently - excellent job Carlos and thank you.I highly recommend Carlos for your carpentry needs.

    Carlos Villagrez has been outstanding - he installed an exterior door for me. Carlos has done handyman types of many jobs for me over a year such as installing window shutters, installing mirrors, painting, installing shelves, etc. Carlos is always on time, very accurate, reasonable, very professional, and pleasant to work with. He is prompt and will tell you upfront how much a task will cost and how long it will take to complete it.

    My husband and I just bought a new home and are blessed that we found Carlos Villagrez to help us with some renovation work! We were both immediately impressed by his professionalism, extensive experience, attention to detail, on-time, and excellent quality work. As an example, there was a very large structure underneath a window that was too big for a window seat and custom built to match surrounding bookcases. We asked Carlos to remove this so we could slide in a sofa. After opening the structure, he was able to educate us on the structural components and options for a strong rebuild. The end result is a smaller custom window seat that fit the space better and allows for a sofa to sit back. In addition to the construction, he ensured it was finished to look just like the bookcases - very impressive high end job! Thanks, Carlos for helping us transform our new house!!     Carlos did a fantastic job repurposing two old lawyers bookcases into a gorgeous entryway table/bookcase for me. I told him what I wanted on a Wednesday and the next day (Thursday) it was completed and in the entryway of my home. Cant thank him enough for his outstanding professionalism and superior craftsmanship.

    My elderly mother had some handyman work that needed to be done throughout the house and I heard that Remake Remodel does excelled work. They not only took care of the work needed in a timely manner but in less time and at a lower cost then what we had been told by a few companies before.     Carlos is a true pleasure. He is steady in his work and employees a high level of professional craftsmanship that results in a beautiful product where it is quickly completed. Carlos framed my deck which is truly plumb, level and square..Every framing member was properly crowned, placed, and fastened. Watching him work made it obvious to me that he was a pro and had performed this kind of work often. In addition to his workmanship, the job site is kept tidy. He was both respectful to me and my property. I cant say enough positive things about him. Im typically reluctant to hire contractors, but I have no reservation with him or this company. I look forward to contracting him again to have my kitchen replaced.

    Carlos is great! I had a small job (mailbox installation), and he did a fantastic job. Was on time, finished the work quickly, and even ran to the hardware store to pick up the right size washer when my mailbox didnt come with all of the correct hardware for installation. Will definitely hire him again for some larger projects.

    Carlos did a wonderful job on a custom built in for our master bedroom addition. We had a closet from the bedroom beneath the addition that extended into the room creating an awkward layout. He made this unattractive “feature” into a beautiful entertainment center with shelving that is now purposeful and one of our favorite parts of the room. He also installed crown molding in all our bedrooms.

    Carlos was extremely responsive, clear with expectations and timeline of work, and easy to work with! We had trouble finding someone that could install pocket door hardware, but Carlos showed up within a week of calling and completed the job without any issues! Grateful for his quick help, and would definitely call him again for home projects
