    Rob and Joe were very professional. What I appreciated the most was how thorough they were. My city drain was longer than I thought and the inside drain had an issue we didnt know about. They did their best to fix everything. My house is 100 years old. Im sure it was tough. They had great attitudes and gave no promises they couldnt back up.

    I can’t recommend A & J plumbing enough. They quickly came out and snaked my bathtub drain. My plumbers name was Robert Wiggle, he was so helpful and kind. He answered any questions and concerns and educated me about preventive maintenance and care. I will never use any other plumbing company besides A & J plumbing. Robert was one of the kindest and thoughtful humans I’ve encountered when dealing with trades men. I highly recommend this company and Robert as they genuinely care about their customers and their needs.

    On Saturday I called AJ Plumbing to have my laundry plumbing repaired. On Sunday, Rob showed up to my door with a great and welcoming attitude. Not only did he do an exceptional job on the repair, but he was very informative on additional repairs I was looking to have completed, and provided great customer service/interaction. Overall, the process of getting someone to come out on short notice to the completion of the service- to include an affordable price- was exceptional. I plan on making Rob and AJ Plumbing a long term service provider.

    We had pressure issues and temperature issues with a new Delta thermostatic shower system.A & J sent Hunter out. He knew exactly what the issue was and fixed both issues. Just had him back out to replace our 23 year old electric hot water heater with a gas hot water tank with a power boost vent. Excellent work!

    Aaron was the technician that fixed my toilet. Very friendly, courteous, and professional. He was very respectful. Answered all of my questions and finished the job quickly.     I needed a plumber for one of my rentals on a Saturday,. The tenants could not use the toilet or take a shower from a backup. I called and the lady on the phone was very nice. And the plumber. Xavier was nice as well and called and let me know everything he was doing and he was so nice and very professional! A&J is lucky to have him.I highly recommend this plumbing company and the exceptional and professional employees they have like Xavier!

    Jim and John did a great job! I called for an estimate, they showed up, cleaned my drain and did not charge me. They came back the next day with their camera to show me the root cause of the issue. The issue appeared to require a more extensive repair which they promised to provide a quote for. They also gave advice on how to use an alternative to fix the issue. And guess what??? They ended up not charging me a dime for cleaning my drain the previous day. How awesome! I recommend using this company, they are very professional and I have never seen any company perform a service and not charge for it! Thanks Jim and John!

    My father and I called on Monday morning, had a few things that needed to be fixed! They were out that day to look at our issues and gave us a estimate, our technician Charles was every knowledgeable and gave us a very responsible estimate! We called to set up the appointment before he was even out of our driveway! Charles and his co worker ( did not get his name because I was at work) came out and did the job yesterday, when I came home I noticed one of the smaller issues was not addressed ( to no fault of Charles or his coworker, I don’t believe I actually told my father about this issue)! My father called A & J’s back this morning to let them know the issue and they had Charles come out after he finished the previous job he was at, and he said no problem he could get it fixed right away he was here less then a hour! This company is speedy in their response time, they have knowledgeable and speedy technicians and they are reasonable priced! I will definitely be recommending them and their technician Charles!

    After 6 calls to plumbing companies who wouldnt book me for a month, then 3 calls to other companies who promised theyd have someone out and never bothered to show up, I called A&J. Not only did they send Charles out the day I asked, my flooded basement was fixed by the next day. He was so professional, and answered every query I had without making me feel silly for asking simple questions. Highly recommend!

    We smelled natural gas in our basement and Consumers Energy shut off our gas. It was cold and before the ice storm last week. We called A andJ Plumbing and they came out in less than 24 hours to start the process of detecting where our gas leak was coming from in the basement. Austin explained everything very well and did an excellent job identifying gas leaks from THREE sites. Thanks to Austin and A and J Plumbing the repair was done quickly and service was restored. We highly recommend them to anyone for honest plumbing service at a great value.

    I had a severe sewage flood from the main inlet to the city sewer. I called around local places with no answer before my brother gave me they’re number. They responded immediately and Charles was able to to come out immediately. Assessed the situation and said he had to bring the big tools the next to snake and camera. He showed up the next day on time on a Sunday and fixed everything. Charles even checked the sub pump which we had issues with and was helpful enough to help me fix and diagnose that. Overall. The company was great. Quick to respond. And my tech that showed up was amazing.

    We have used A&J a couple of times now and have not been disappointed. They always arrive within the window of time given and the plumbers are always very knowledgeable of the problem at hand. Just recently we had Eric as our plumber and we felt he went over and above to get us answers to our issue. He was able to fix it the same day and so far, so good! He was personable and respectful of our property and took the time to answer our questions and explained what caused the problem. This is a great company and we will use them for any future plumbing issues.

    Called just before they closed on a Friday before the holiday for my tub not draining. Was able to schedule someone out for the next morning. Zack arrived the following morning and in no time my tub drain was cleared. Zach offered some preventatives to use before he left. Will definitely use this company again.     I called A&J Saturday morning since I had an emergency flood in my basement. I had a feeling my lines needed to be snaked which I had done a few months back for another service provider that was less then impressive, I spoke with Karen and Ashleigh who were very kind and helpful. Mat Attebury then came out in the prescribed time with a very nice and professional presentation. He got right to work, asking very relevant questions and telling me what he was doing step by step. He took great care to make sure he checked everything and gave me a super good price. I know because it was less then I paid 2 months before and my sister just had the same work done and A&J as $45 less then she paid. He set about correcting my problem and gave wonderful guidance on how to avoid the blockage in the first place. I would recommend A&J, specifically Mat to everyone! Thanks Mat!

    We had a clog which caused our mainline pipe to back up into our bathtub and toilets would not drain. Jason at A&J came out within few hours and reviewed our problem with us. At first we thought it was our Septic, had Septic company come out to ensure it was fine, once we did that Jason came back out first thing Saturday morning and took care of the clog. He was clean, efficient, knowledgeable and a joy to talk to. He took our bombardment of questions with enthusiasm and kindness. We highly recommend Jason and A&J plumbing as they have fair prices, indoor plumbing knowledge and great customer service.

    Ive been having basement problems for some time now. Every time it rained, the water would back up into the basement through our front storm drain. We called Thornton & Grooms. They sent a guy, who sent another guy, who quoted me a price of about $4800 to replace our storm trap. Looking for other estimates, I happened upon A & J. They sent Jason out. He opened up the storm trap (which T&G hadnt even done), and told me that hed like to try snaking it out first, it may just be clogged. I said ok, he did, and the water is now draining properly. He gave me some tips on how to keep it clear, and told me that, in the future, it may need replacing. A&Js price is much lower than T&Gs price. Jason explained what it would entail for a replacement in detail.Im very pleased with the service I got today, and I know who Ill be calling in the future. Thanks, Jason and A&J. Youve got a new customer, and recommendation.Side note: my dog liked Jason, too.

    We called in the morning and they were there before 3pm. Jason came to our home and his first assessment at a glance, was that the leak we were experiencing would require the drywall to be ripped out and suggested that we may have to call our insurance company to get cabinetry replaced etc.. However, he insisted on doing more inspection to confirm. After looking into our wall, he discovered that it was simply a pipe that had come a loose. He fixed the pipe, sealed it, charged us a reasonable rate and was gone within 90 minutes. Amazing work. Great job. We highly recommend them for being honest and operating with integrity!

    Matt did an excellent job installing my moms new toilet. My mom lost her husband (my dad) recently and they showed compassion by installing it for free.     I honestly don’t even know where to start!We are currently remodeling our kitchen and as our gas stove top was about to be installed we were informed a gas line was never installed/connected- insert a major headache!!The plumber working with our remodel wasn’t available until the end of the week and we needed someone ASAP. I called Monday afternoon and A&J Plumbing was able to schedule someone to come out the next day.Eric S. came out and went over and beyond! He not only connected a gas line to our stove top, but he also finished the little “honey do” list left so the next trade could come in and finish installing the rest of our appliances. Eric saved us from having our kitchen being pushed back by another week( possibly even two), and did everything we asked with of him with a smile! Eric was professional, proficient, knowledgeable and a life savor!!     A&J came out to fix a leak in a shut off valve in the basement. They fixed the leak, checked the other shut off valves and gave me tips on how to turn off valves. They arrived within the 4 hour window, wore protective shoe coverings and were very courteous and pleasant. This is the second time Ive used their services and would highly recommend.     A simple job quickly became to much for me to handle when a drain pipe broke inside the wall, called A & J and Charles was at my home within an hour to take car of the problem.     I am giving 5 stars as someone whose issue was not resolved through A&J. I had a major sewer issue, and they were extremely responsive, honest, and helpful throughout. Unfortunately, when it came to it, they were not equipped to do the major sewer work I needed, but they never left me out to dry. Even after the fact, they guided me towards resolving my problem. These people give a darn about you and your problems, and I promise that you will have a good experience with them. Charles was the guy who helped us and he was great.

    I just have to say that Charles and (Zach, I think, according to my 4 year old who followed him around) did a stellar job.     Honestly, I wish I could give this company more stars. I had Jay and Darren out at my house and they were nothing but professional and I feel they went above and beyond any customer service standard. They took their time to explain all options and walked me through exactly the work they would be doing.     When my water heater decided to take on a new life as a water fountain (quite lovely looking, and the sound of trickling water was very relaxing, but the flood on the floor was unacceptable), I called A&J Plumbing to quell the water heaters rising ambitions. Mat arrived within an hour and confirmed my greatest fear--the heater was on its last legs and needed to go. Because my water heater was an uncommon low boy, Mat wasnt able to replace the heater that day (there was a heater available for immediate install, but Mat did not recommend that particular model, so I decided to wait), but he did stop the leak and explained exactly what I needed to do if the heater started to leak again. When Mat later returned to install the new heater with his partner (whose name I didnt catch, but he was great, too), the install went perfectly. These guys are fast, friendly, and very wise in the ways of plumbing. Highly recommended. Should any more of my plumbing fixtures misbehave, Ill definitely call A&J again. Thank you so much!

I called A & J for a bathroom problem they sent out Eric Shano he arrived 1 hour earlier than scheduled he was very professional and friendly he assessed the problem explained what was needed for the repair and the cost up front.     Five day back up in the main. Multiple plumbers told me it was in the house when we knew it wasnt. Called them, showed up in less than an hour. Got the line hydro jetted (pretty pricey) but its better than a massive flood, right? Tech was great, smart and explained everything he did to the smallest detail.     Andrew was very polite and friendly. He explained what most likely had my drain clogged. He said without a lint trap on the drain hose, lint and hair get caught in the trap under the floor. 30-45 minutes later my drain was free and clear. I would highly recommend this company for any problems.

    AMAZING JOB! Jay and Tyler were great. If I could give a 6-star review, I would. After being lied to by another company, I cannot express how extremely pleased I am by their service. They came on time, camerad my main sewer line, figured out the problem (which proved the other company lied) and for a 1/10th of the price fixed my problem with their hydro jet! They were efficient and tidy. Jay went the extra mile to continue cameraing to ensure all my roots were gone. I absolutely will recommend their services to anyone who asks.     Very good service. Charles and Zack came to clean out our main sewer drain pipe using the hydro jet. It worked well but there were a couple of small obstructions left over (a cable snake I used a few years ago had broken off) They stayed an extra hour to retrieve said pieces. Job well done

    Mike came out to evaluate my exterior water spickets, and I explained that I wasnt sure what I needed. He was very professional and understanding. I am embarrassed to admit I wasnt aware of the spickets in my backyard was functional.     I had a toilet backing up and my 3 ft snake wasnt working so i called A & J and Jason B came out and immediately knew what to try. He gave me a couple options which the pricing was exactly what you would expect it to cost. He used a 5 ft snake and that did the trick all done. Also they have free estimates so if i didnt like the price it wouldnt cost me a thing for them to come out like other companys. I highly recommend this company if you have plumbing problems.

    I had a technician scheduled to come to my home between 12 and 4 today , but A&J called me (the kind ladies name was Antoinette) and told me theybhad a tech ready by 11am. Who h was perfect. I waited for about 10 minutes and then Josh arrived. He was very courteous and respectful and very knowledgeable about old homes and their types of (dated) infrastructure. He fixed the clog in about 15 minutes and now everything in my house drains again.I realize that having an older home (built pre WWII) tends to mean it has character aka problems - piping being one of them. So Ill have to call a tech out 2 times a year or 3. But Im happy to continue calling A&J . Highly recommend!

    Basement sewer was backing up. I called A&J Pluming and they were able to have Jason come out in less than an hour. Jason checked it out and said that tissue had been stuck but flushed itself out. He had me flush the toilet multiple times, run water from the basement sink and he put water into multiple sewer holes in the floor and nothing else backed up. He was very professional. When I asked how much a service call was he said nothing since they do free estimates. If I have any plumbing issues/concerns I will not hesitate to call A & J.

    Listen up! There are people that Help you. Then there are people that dont know how to help. WE NEEDED HELP! Our sewer system plugged. Our septic tank need drained.     Last night we discovered sewage in our basement drains backing up. Called A & J Plumbing and had someone out that day! Super friendly gentleman Dave worked hard until he was needed at another job. BUT the next morning he showed up with more help one being his superivsor Jay and saved our line which was pretty much completely blocked. I was worried they were going to have to dig which would have costed a fortune 4 days before Christmas. They spent over 3 hours jetting our line and finally got through to the street, they cleared away about 90% of the blockage! I could not be more happy and relieve of the money they saved us from not having to dig plus their effort to get to the bottom of our issue and resolve it! Thank you!

    My Fiance and I had a flood a few months ago in our new home in Ferndale. I called A&J soon after, when the water clearly wasnt going down. As we were panicking, Jason and his team arrived and knew exactly what to do.     Prompt, Knowledgeable, Clean, Reasonable .....the best four words I could think of to describe my experience with A&J Plumbing. I called A&J because of a frozen pipe in my home. Obviously, because of the two week long temperature range between -5 and 10 degrees, I wasn’t the only one having frozen pipe issues. I was told it wouldn’t be until the next day they could get a technician out to see us. In the meantime, I was told what to do to ensure I wouldn’t have any water damage in case that pipe burst during the night and I received a follow up call to see how everything was going. The next morning Amy from A&J called and said the technician would be arriving in an hour. When Charles arrived, I showed him the frozen pipe and he went right to work. He thoroughly explained what he was going to do and an estimate, I gave him the go ahead and a little while later the pipes were thawed and no burst pipes. I found Charles to be clean, courteous and fast. I will use A&J again and hopefully, when I answer the door, it will be Charles.Tony GalboGrosse Pointe

    After trying to unclog a basement floor drain each year,we called A&J. Eric and Austin came out and found with a camera that we had a broken pipe filled with grease etc..They worked as a team to break out the cement and knew exactly what needed to be done.They replaced everything that was bad with PVC and we should be good for years to come.
