This is my third review of Dickson Plumbing, and again, had a great experience. Richard and Sam arrived first thing in the morning to fix water seepage at a connection on my newly installed HALO Water Treatment System.I reached out to them on Thursday evening, December 22nd, and they arrived the next morning to complete my repair. The seepage issue was caused by a pinched o-ring, which they replaced.As usual, their service is top notch, always responsive to my questions, professional and humble. They leave their work area clean and tidy.Thank you again for the great service!

Thank you so much for all of your help!!! Mr. Dickson was extremely responsive to my call and arrived at my home in Elizabeth City 45 minutes after I called him. Once he determined there may be a collapsed main on the city’s side of the line he waited with me until the city arrived to investigate from 5 to 7 pm. I will definitely be using him for many future plumbing projects as I renovate my older home. Very nice and extremely professional!

This was the only company in town that I could manage to get to my house after a lot of attempts… several gave me dates to show up and and just didn’t, never called back, couldn’t even schedule, etc. The process of scheduling with Dickson was pleasant and about a week out. I was not in town when the work was done, I had our roommate let them in. Richard Dickson showed up early—with appropriate notice—and very promptly quoted us over the phone and handled the situation on the spot for an affordable cost. We waited the recommended time to use our bathroom, and there was still a minor leak. They came back the next morning and found that our shower panel needed replacing as well, and explained how to go forward with the process. We will hire them again.

Our pipes were old quest from 1994 when our house was built. We had about 20 shark bites under the house and constant small leaks. The pump always cut on. I called Dickson Plumbing and they put me on the schedule. Mr. Dickson came out and was top notch. No other way to put it. He replaced all of our plumbing from the fixtures to the pump. My wife was home with our three kids both days he worked. One of our kids is under a year and needed naps. Mr. Dickson not only understood, but he was quiet and gave my wife plenty of notice of when he would need to make noise. I feel bad that he moved a lot of our junk around to get to the pipes, and he cleaned up everything. Spotless. We plan to do a diy remodel on our master bathroom and shower this fall and I told him we didnt need new faucets in there (the one we had didnt work) We have been using our kids bathroom. He went ahead and put new fixtures in our bathroom free of charge. He said you never know what may happen and if you cant do the diy remodel soon I wanted to make sure you werent stuck using your kids bathroom. Totally unexpected but we are so appreciative. Im going to have him come back soon and replace our pump. I wont even bother getting other quotes. We bought our house as a foreclosure 5 years ago and while we have done a lot of diy remodeling some things I just cant do. Of all the private businesses we have had out here, Dickson Plumbing is at the top!

Our previous contractor plumbed the kitchen sink during an addition to our house; we continued to have leaking from the P-trap nut that could not be controlled. Dickson came to service and explained that it was mechanically incorrect and missing some elements. He had to replumb and add a vent to it which involved opening the wall. I also have 3 external spigots that were in disrepair (one had a split in the stem). He walked us through each of the repairs and explained everything as he went. He was punctual, professional, and polite. Great experience and customer service. We have already booked our next service job and will be using him for our 2 rentals as well!

I have two properties in the Riverside area with very old plumbing from the house to the street - some clay pipes, some asbestos, some cast iron, but all degrading, flaking, and frequently clogging as a result. One of my properties had a giant pine tree whose roots had infiltrated the sewer pipe and the root mat was obstructing flow. Needless to say, we had a plumber sent to each house regularly to use the industrial machine to clear the clogs. Dickson was able to replace the complete plumbing under both houses and the line to the street (2 separate jobs); each job took about 3 days. He was the only plumber I had talked to that agreed to quote the job and his work was fantastic from start to finish. I had the giant pine tree taken down, and he even used the debris from the stump grinding to level out the yard where the plumbing work had been performed. Communication was great during the job and he even kept my tenants informed of when they could resume normal operations. Excellent.

Pinpointed exactly where the problem was so we could dig it up and make the repair without searching for it.
