We recently purchased a fixer upper, and decided to start with creating our dream kitchen. The scope of the project required some electrical updates as well as additional electric circuits. Ray came out to evaluate the scope of the project and discuss the details of the project. He listened to my thoughts and ideas, asked the appropriate questions, and offered up advice and thoughts I hadnt considered.When the work was started, the crew showed up right on time. They worked quickly and efficiently. In places where drywall needed to be cut, they made neat cuts, saved the pieces and screwed them back into place for easy taping, mudding and painting.They cleaned up after themselves and and made sure we were pleased with the work.

I cant begin to tell you what an amazing experience that we had with the entire staff at Rays Electrical Service - they exceeded our expectations and will most definitely work with them again!!! They all are extremely professional, friendly, easy to work with and do excellent work.I called into the office to set up an appointment and Ray himself came out to view and quote the electrical work that we were looking at having done in our garage (addition of outlets & sub-panel). We are very particular with our garage; it is completely drywalled and we did not want any conduit exposed. Ray made several excellent suggestions, and when it came time to the quote - he gave me the number, which was much better than what I was anticipating.Darlene in the office helped me walk through what was needed and what to prepare for prior to the work being started (so that there were no surprises). She was beyond patient with us changing our minds a few things on what we wanted done, and even through it was through the phone, you could tell that she made these changes with a smile on her face every time.Day of; Andreios and team came out, reviewed the scope of work with us and locations for everything. As the locations we wanted outlets were not easily accessible, we were anticipating to have to replace/repair a lot of drywall. Due to my job, I was not able to see progress until all the work was done. When they let me know they were down, I went in the garage and was blown away! They found a way to route everything such that it looked like the garage was intended to be that way, and they tidied everything up so that you really couldnt tell that anything had been done.Again, we are beyond thrilled with the work that was done by the entire team at Rays and highly recommend working with them.

We had Ray’s electrical upgrade 4 spot lights, three light fixtures, and 2 exhaust fans in our home. Our experience with this company will make us a return customer. Not only did they meet a tight timeframe last minute for me, but Ray went out of his way on a Saturday to meet me and my husband to make sure that we bought the appropriate lighting equipment that we needed for our install. This is a professional organization that takes customer service first and foremost into their business frame. Their prices were extremely reasonable all of the guys that came and worked on site were on time, kept a clean workspace and cleaned up after themselves and were just generally super nice people! Overall this was a top-notch experience with an electrical company! No hidden costs, and no double talk. I would strongly recommend Ray’s Electrical to anyone looking to have work done in their home.

After receiving numerous estimates, we decided to go with Rays to do the bonding and run the electrical to our new swimming pool. They were NOT the cheapest estimate we got, but I was impressed by their professionalism and knowledge when they came out to do the estimate and they left me with a good feeling. They came out to do the work on time and all the guys were VERY professional, courteous and friendly. The work they did was immaculate and everything works and looks great. I am SO GLAD I WENT WITH THEM. Again, they werent the cheapest, but I cant imagine anybody would have done as good a job as they did.

Called Rays to fix two private streetlights in our HOA. They gave us a proposal to do a system upgrade on all 5 lights to LEDs that qualified for a rebate from Com Ed. Did the system upgrade, got the rebate and love the new lights and power bill savings.

I needed the services of an electrician after switching some old outlets in the garage and losing power. I searched the next door app and saw a few people recommend Rays Electrical. The initial contact was pleasant and the office manager was very helpful and ready to provide a service call the next day which I was unable. The appointment was for the morning and they, Frank and Ray, the owner, arrived on time. After discussion Ray recommended trying other avenues to address the other issue I had in my family room without any sale or service pressure.Regarding the garage, Frank pointed out the problem and corrected the outlet issues promptly.Their service and professionalism was outstanding and I can see why they receive 5 stars. I highly recommend them and will be my electrician for future needs.

Everybody at Rays Electric is fantastic!I initially contacted them because of the raving reviews - and they certainly came through! Ray, the owner, was in contact with my husband and I throughout the permit & inspection process as well as visiting our house on the first day of the job to make sure the team knew what to do. Darlene was also fantastic in keeping us updated on permits, appointments and all of the other questions that we had!! We wont need anymore work done for a while now, but I sure wish we did, just for another opportunity to work with them again!

This company is AWESOME! I HIGHLY Recommend them for any electric needs. I was having a pool installed and Ray is so knowledgeable and helped me from start to finish. Any time I had a question and I needed help, he was either on the phone or at my house with in an hour to help us and answer any questions we had. When it cam time for the install there were very accommodating to get us into their schedule, and were QUICK, PROFESSIONAL, and FRIENDLY!I will use them again for any electrical needs I have in the future! June 2020: I had to have the electrical riser reattached to the back exterior of my house after being damaged by a storm/ in addition it was rigged wrong as the wires to the pole were fastened in a sloppy manner with a piece of rope.Rays gave me a good price/that same day two guys came out and within 2 hoursthey had reattached the riser to the house and refastened the wires in a professional manner. No damage to the siding and it looks great! Very pleased with the quality of the job.

Rays Electrical and Boring Service did a fantastic job running electrical outlets in my garage. I did have a few quotes that came in around the same price, but what stood out was the level of professionalism and courtesy. Ray and Frank came out the other day, and Ray said, I cant go inside. I have mud on my boots.Out of respect for my home is what really set the tone in my decision. Frank and Jeff came out the next day, and Jeff was equally courteous and professional. His work was done was very efficient, and aside from cleaning up the work space, he helped me move my refrigerator a bit so I can plug in to the new outlet.Fantastic job everyone. I already recommended you on the Whats Happening in Elgin, as well as my neighbor.Thank you for your hard work.

Very professional group and reasonably priced!!! Family owned. They showed up when they said they would, reviewed the job and within in 2 days had a quote emailed to me. We scheduled the job, they showed up 5 mins early and completed the job under time allowed and cleaned up after themselves. It was truly a breath of fresh air. I havent had a professional contractor like this in years. I will be using Rays for any of my electrical work in the future. The job completed was installing a 30 amp receptacle outside my garage for an RV.

Changed out my old smoke/CO2 detectors, addressed main panel issues, fix assorted points. Quick, trusted, reliable. Their name is in the owners guide (for electrical) for our old house. We felt good that Ray’s help us turn over our home to a new young family for many more years of family living... highly recommended!

Ray and his men were called upon when my home needed some electrical work to bring it up to code after an inspector came through when I was selling the house. They were great. They also tracked down some short circuit that had the light switches acting crazy for us in the kitchen. I would highly recommend them and rate them 10 stars if I could. WOW! What can I say! Ray installed some electrical work for me, it was somewhat involved where patio stones needed to be removed, and reinstalled. My past experience has taught me that this normally doesnt turn out to well. Well shame on me! Rays Electrical Service was phenomenal. The power is on and you would never have known a single block was removed. But wait, it gets better!Some how during the install a plumbing pipe broke. It wasnt noticed until several days later. When I contacted Ray he, without hesitation, was on the job and the broken pipe was repaired - no fuss - no muss. This is truly one professional company.Thank You Ray!

I really appreciated what Rays team did for me. They were all great! I had an issue on a holiday early in the morning and he was out here within an hour. He did everything he could to help me until I was able to get my insurance taken care of and they walked me threw the process 100%. They had to redo my whole electric box and the outside all the guys that came to fix everything were very nice respectful and got the job done in an few hours. I would call Ray and his team for any job I needed done again! Prices were great and he was able to tell me them as he was here explaining everything to me so no hidden fees, or change of prices!
