High praise for Magothy Electric! We had an emergency electrical fire from a bedroom ceiling fan sending out sparks. i googled electricians and Magothy came up. When i called i was impressed that I got a real person instead of a recording! Amber was incredibly helpful and understanding and able to schedule us within a few hours. Also impressed that they sent a text appointment confirmation, called when the electrician was running 15 minutes late, and then texted a photo of the electrician with a brief bio so we’d know who would be arriving at our home. Jay was wonderful! immediately discovered the problem, solved it and was able to install a brand new ceiling fan for us. He was professional, polite, experienced, and really interesting to talk to! We are so grateful we discovered Magothy Electric and will be using them for all our Electrical needs in the future. You have two excellent employees with Amber and Jay….big thank yous!

From the moment he walked in the front door, Jay was professional, friendly, and clearly there to do a good job. He analyze the situation quickly, and delivered some pretty disappointing news in a way that made me feel better about having received it. He was obviously organized and extremely capable of doing what needed to be done to solve the problem. Service was quick - scheduled same day. Technician was great and very knowledgeable. Diagnostic fees for 2 working outlets were high and it was essentially a simple problem of a circuit breaker that had tripped. Technician did a thorough review of what may have cause the breaker to trip by checking all the outlets around the garage area.

Polite, pleasant, professional and extremely knowledgeable. He explained the what, how and why of each task. He worked diligently the 9+ hours he was here. Cleaned up every bit of drywall mess from drilling, closed the openings in the drywall (in the garage) He installed two bathroom exhaust fans and vented to the outside. He installed a GFI breaker in the kitchen and added a GFI outlet in the garage, installed a new exterior light.Amazing work.
