    There are not enough words in the English Language to describe how wonderful Popejoy was to me and my wife in a project that many plumbers would either pass on or charge so much it wasnt affordable.I have a home built in 1894 in Streator. Unfortunately, the majority of our plumbing on our first floor and basement was from the 1950s as it was filled with galvanized steel. We had a plumber begin work, but he couldnt finish it.Our problem came to a head when our water service got a new main and the water pressure dropped. We were given 3 different bids. However Corey from Popejoy in proposing the bid explained how we could do it. He is a closer and he made himself available to us to answer questions.When my wife needed a procedure that would require certain scheduled days, Popejoy didnt even blink an eye. They were ready and made sure the guys would be on their way to do the work as proposed.Jimmy and Zach were the guys that came in to do the work on my home. They were fantastic. Some teams get in each others way. These two never had that problem. They worked like they have worked together for years. One installed the water heater, the other fit copper. It was wonderful to watch. If we had any questions, they answered them. They gave us piece of mind. They were efficient, they cleaned up and they really did an incredible job of installing a pump, uv lamp, whole house water filtration system and Tankless Hot Water Heater with WiFi. I would certainly recommend this business for all of your plumbing needs.

    My husband called Monday morning, they were at our house at 3:30 the same afternoon. Jake and his co-worker (didn’t get his name) we’re both great. They asked questions, figured out what we initially have going on and the price was more than fair. It was pretty muddy outside and they made sure they kept our house clean and cleaned up what little bit they did bring in with them. We’re going to need some additional work and we will definitely be calling them back. We recommend this company!

    We had a clogged sink and I clumsily moved a toilet off-base - and Jake Dehm thankfully resolved both issues. Ray Popejoy showed up at our house with a crew of his workers to help us clean up from the 2010 tornado, just because we needed help. We’ve used them regularly since then for plumbing, electrical, HVAC and generator projects. We appreciate their prompt response, courteous service (some of the nicest folks we’ve met - especially Jake!) and expert advice.

    I cant say enough positive things about my experience with this company. My boiler was 47 years old and finally gave out. They replaced it with a high efficiency one .I had some renovations planned. My contractor works with Popejoy. They are in sync knowing exactly what has to be done between them. No confusion or time delays. The first scheduled day of plumbing work my sump pump had given out. Dylan took time to not only replace the pump but run a very improved system which took the water outside as opposed to the drain in the basement i had battled for years. Then he did his work in the bathroom which was gutted along with my bedroom and laundry room.Several different service men were there at different times and knew exactly what was going on. They cleaned up the old mangled plumbing in the basement and replaced with new which is a spectacular improvement. They also did a great job with the original electrical work and other i added on throughout the process. That was Russ Gadbury. Very good electrician and easy to work with. Ryan Zimmerman came to my house to go over some changes i wanted made with fixtures for the bathroom. I got exactly what i wanted. Dustin would come by different times to make sure everything was to my satisfaction. It certainly was. Finally Eric installed my washer and dryer by cutting through the floor into the basement and running the venting system along the ceiling and cutting through a foot of blocb to vent outside. My house is very old and now its very modern and very nice with the rooms remodeled. Several servicemen were responsible for the fantastic job done. A very huge thanks to the Popejoy group. I didnt have one complaint. Everything was professional and very well done.

    The work was done well from what I can tell. Popejoy would not give an estimate prior to coming to the house, but claimed that they have upfront pricing that is set to a schedule. If that is the case then they should have been able to give an estimate. This doesnt make sense to me. They are very expensive. After the fact I got an estimate from another company and it was about 60% of what I paid. Quality work and I guess the sayng is you get what you pay for.
